Events that change the global economy rapidly, without warning, in principle strongly affect mining, which is one of the pillars of global development. After the first months of the Covid-19 pandemic, the mining pillar seems to be relatively stable. In this study, thanks to the meeting of an international team, it was possible to collect and compare a set of data on the impact on mining. In contrast to the general assessments of the stability of the mining sector, the authors decided to assess the impact of Covid-19 at individual stages of the mining project life cycle. In this way, it was possible to identify the most impacted fragments of the mining pillar. It was assessed that the highest influence of Covid-19 is observed in projects implementing feasibility studies and in projects for the development of new mines. The same is true of extracting residual resources in mines prior to the closure decision. The medium impact was confirmed at the exploration and discovery stage. The authors conclude that the impact on the current mining production is smaller and the effects in this case are short term, which is mainly due to a continued strong demand for minerals in China, which has balanced the weaker demand in other parts of the world. On the other hand, stopping the exploration and development of new mines will have a long-term impact, including an increased possibility of disruption of the future security of supplies of raw materials.

The outbreak of COVID-19 has had an immeasurable impact on the global economy. It has damaged parts of the real economy, but also provided new opportunities for China’s green development. Both the system and foreign direct investment (FDI) have an important impact on China’s green recovery path. Based on the provincial panel data of China from 2007 to 2016, this paper uses a slacks-based measure (SBM) model and Malmquist–Luenberger (ML) index to measure the green total factor productivity (GTFP), and empirically analyzes the regulatory role of system in the influencing mechanism of FDI on GTFP. The results show that the overall level of FDI significantly inhibits the improvement of GTFP, and the interaction between system and FDI makes it shift from inhibition to promotion, but the promotion would be weakened with the improvement of the system. FDI in the eastern region shows a positive effect on GTFP, which will be weakened with the improvement of the system. FDI in central and western regions shows a negative effect on GTFP, and the negative effect in western regions will be increased with the improvement of the system. Then this article puts forward targeted policy suggestions for further improving the level of regional systems and introducing FDI of high quality.

Creating new workplaces and modernizing the existing ones to provide appropriate and highly-efficient employment of able-bodied citizens is one of the most acute economic and social issues at the current stage of development in Ukraine. The article deals with the problems of creating new workplaces in the Ukrainian industrial sector, considers the main tendencies and suggests approaches to partially solve problems coming from the development of the workplace creation factors in order to increase workplace efficiency and its technological capacity. The model of the number of new workplaces dependence on the impact factors system (labor, capital, research and technology developments, management quality) was developed using 19 one-factor and multi-factor equations, among which six most relevant were selected for industry as a whole and five for the processing industry. The calculations, according to the proposed model, have shown a tendency of increasing the number of new workplaces both in industry in general and in the processing industry in particular. However, there are decreasing tendencies of the growth rate. This can be explained by the fact of the labor productivity increasing, as well as decreasing tendency in the need for new workplaces in order to restore the pre-crisis rate of production.

Within the framework of heterogeneous agent models, this paper analyzes the impact factors on the issuance of an insurance-linked security (ILS), and gives an ILS pricing formula and the conditions of existence and stability of the issue price. We consider two cases: fixed supply and flexible supply. We find that, in the fixed volume case, to assure the successful issuance of an ILS, an appropriate volume of the ILS is necessary, and to attract investors, the ILS should pay a positive premium which can help investors to enhance the efficient frontier of their portfolio. In the flexible supply case, we show that the issue price of an ILS is given by the weighted average of different beliefs about the discounted ILS return, and the stability of the issue price depends on the numbers of investors and sponsors and the extrapolation rate to the ILS of investors. In addition, whether an ILS has the hedging ability to sponsors depends on their own understanding about the ILS coupon and the relationship between the recovery from the ILS and their liability, but how much the risk of sponsors can be hedged relies on the ILS coupon expected by investors.

Іntroduction. For the first time, based on the study of the interaction of political and legal systems, the politicо-legal system is structured, its structure, components and functions are identified. The politicо-legal system is a methodological tool designed to facilitate the study and understanding of the interdependence of policy and law. The politicо-legal system previously have been studied separately within two sciences - political science and jurisprudence. Both systems turned out to be separated on a theoretical level, although in practice they are interconnected. Paying no attention to this interconnection at the scientific level has a negative impact on the quality and effectiveness of the regulation of public relations. The successful functioning of any state governed by the rule of law is impossible without a harmonious combination, coordinated interaction of politics and law in the management of the state and society. Therefore, the aim of the article is to structure the politicо-legal system and identify its components, to clarify the functions. The study of such multilevel, hierarchical and interconnected phenomena, the connection between which has been ignored for a long time, requires the consideration of these objects as complex systems. With the help of this method the following definition of the politicо-legal system is proposed in article. The politicо-legal system is a complex supersystem in which political and legal systems interact. It is a multilevel, complex, interconnected set of interactions and interrelations of politicо-legal institutions and legal means designed to regulate politicо-legal relations, and politicо-legal phenomena arising from this regulation, which ensures the stability and development of politicо-legal sphere . Conclusions. The study of the structure, components, functions of the politicо-legal system system makes it possible to understand its essence, which is manifested in the interaction of law and politics, the peculiarities of the impact on society, the relationship with the internal and external environment. Prospects for further research in this area are inexhaustible, since the theory of political and legal system is just beginning to get scientific shape within the interdisciplinary science - legal political science.

Introduction.Liposomal technologies are widely used in medicine and cosmetology as a delivery system for diagnostic and medicinal products and biologically active substances. The undoubted practical importance at the stage of development of a liposomal preparation is represented by the characteristic and assessment of the sustainability of the obtained product, and special attention is paid to the study of the latter. Essentially, the methods for their preparation affect the stability of liposomes; therefore, the study of the influence of technological factors on the properties of the product at various stages of the preparation of liposomes is very important. This article is devoted to the study of the dependence of the quality of liposomes loaded with a phthalocyanine photosensitizer – thiosens, on the conditions of their production.Aim.Detection of the influence of various technological factors on the stability indicators of the liposomal form of the thiosens photosensitizer.Materials and methods. For this purpose, an analysis of the average size, polydispersity and zeta (ζ) potential of the liposomes of thiosens obtained at the stage of hydration of the lipid film, filtration of the liposomal dispersion, its extrusion, homogenization, ultrasonic treatment, and lyophilization was carried out. Results and discussion.During the preparation of a liposomal preparation, various changes in conditions can be made within the framework of the technological process. At each stage of obtaining a liposomal form, there are many critical points and parameters that must be strictly monitored and controlled. In the course of the work, the influence of technological factors on the stability of liposomal intermediate and finished products was assessed. The conditions of the most effective hydration with the formation of a stable dispersion of multilayer liposomes of thiosens and the optimal method of their grinding have been determined. It was also shown that liposomes formed after rehydration of the lyophilisate are more uniform in size and have the highest ζ-potential value in comparison with non-lyophilized liposomal dispersion.Conclusion.Using the example of a thiosens phthalocyanine photosensitizer liposomes, the influence of various technological factors on the stability of this nanostructure is shown, therefore, the characteristic and assessment of the sustainability of the resulting product according to 3 main indicators – vesicle size, polydispersity index, and ζ-potential are of undoubted practical importance.

Following the 2008 financial crisis, the global economy will continue to experience shock in the years to come. Therefore, it is vital to conduct research that can anticipate the impact of fluctuations in financial stability. This research examines the stability of the Islamic banking system in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Pakistan, using Z-Score as a proxy variable for stability measurement and Markov Switching VAR for the method. The objectives are to identify which Islamic banking has better resilience in facing crisis and identify the economic variables that have a significant effect on the stability of Islamic banking. The results showed that the stability of Indonesian Islamic banking was more stable compared to Malaysia and Pakistan. The crisis periods determined from the method show that in 2019 all countries studied entered the beginning of the crisis period, which means the world conditions tend to re-enter the crisis, repeating the 2008 financial crisis.

The article discusses the impact of the level of monopolization of markets on the sustainability of economic development and, above all, on the development of inflationary processes in terms of the reproduction approach in the global economy. The purpose of the article is to show the key role of monopolism in the genesis of inflation and its negative impact on the sustainability of economic development. The article uses a reproductive approach to the analysis of economic phenomena and processes. Using dialectical materialistic and concrete historical methods, it is shown how monopolism contributes to the development of inflation at all stages of the reproductive process. So, in Russia throughout the entire period of reforms, with the exception of individual years, the producer price index of industrial products grew faster than the consumer price index, and prices in more monopolized industries grew much faster than in less monopolized ones, which confirms the important the role of monopolies in the unwinding of the inflationary process.

Exemplary for other than English-language psychology journals, the impact of recent Anglicization of five former German-language psychology journals on (1) authorship (nationality, i.e., native language, and number of authors, i.e., single or multiple authorships), (2) formal characteristics of the journal (number of articles per volume and length of articles), and (3) number of citations of the articles in other journal articles, the language of the citing publications, and the impact factors (IF) is analyzed. Scientometric data on these variables are gathered for all articles published in the four years before anglicizing and in the four years after anglicizing the same journal. Results reveal rather quick changes: Citations per year since original articles’ publication increase significantly, and the IF of the journals go up markedly. Frequencies of citing in German-language journals decrease, citing in English-language journals increase significantly after the Anglicization of former German-language psychology journals, and there is a general trend of increasing citations in other languages as well. Side effects of anglicizing former German-language psychology journals include the publication of shorter papers, their availability to a more international authorship, and a slight, but significant increase in multiple authorships.
