<p>Desease that often occurs on the shallot is moler caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cepae (FOCe). This research was conducted to studied the potential of root-colonizing fungi to suppres moler disease on shallot. The researchs were divided into two steps that were laboratory test and screen house test used Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The treatments in screen house test were the combination of four fungi that had best capability to inhibit growth of FOCe. Each treatment was repeated three times. The result showed that root-colonizing fungi could reduce the moler disease but haven’t affect significantly growth component of shallot. Lowest disease intensity was 20% on the combination of AJ01, AJ12, AJ17, AJ18. Root-colonizing fungi have potention to decrease Moler disease.</p>

<p>Salah satu penyakit penting yang sangat merugikan tanaman kenaf adalah penyakit layu Fusarium yang disebabkan oleh <em>Fusarium oxysporum</em> Schlecht. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi tingkat ketahanan aksesi kenaf terhadap jamur <em>Fusarium oxysporum</em>. Penelitian dilakukan di laboratorium dan rumah kasa Balai Penelitian Tanaman Pemanis dan Serat, Malang menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap) yang diulang tiga kali. Dalam evaluasi ini digunakan 70 aksesi dan 1 aksesi tahan (BG-52-135) yang digunakan sebagai kontrol. Inokulasi dilakukan pada 7 hari setelah tanam (HST) menggunakan suspensi spora dengan kerapatan10<sup>5</sup>/ml sebanyak 100 ml setiap bak. Pengamatan intensitas serangan dilakukan mulai 10–40 hari setelah inokulasi (HSI) dengan interval pengamatan lima hari. Pengamatan persentase diskolorisasi batang dilakukan sekali pada 50 HSI. Hasil pengujian memperoleh 1 aksesi (FJ/017) sangat tahan dengan intensitas serangan terrendah (0,83%) dan 14 aksesi tahan dengan intensitas serangan <span style="text-decoration: underline;">&lt;</span>10%, 28 aksesi dengan ketahanan moderat, dan 27 aksesi yang rentan terhadap infeksi <em>F. oxysporum</em>. Aksesisi FJ/017 (aksesi yang sangat tahan) dan 14 aksesi yang tahan: 1064(SUC/012), 1061(SRB/082), 1035(FJ/005), 839(PARC/2709), 955(FJ/003), 842(PARC/2712), 1095(SUC/003), 838(PARC/2708), 957(FJ/ 007), 1065(SUC/023), 1042(CHN/056), 145(BL/118), 1036(FJ/006), dan 778(PARC/2466) dapat digunakan sebagai sumber ketahanan pada perakitan varietas baru.</p><p> </p><p>One of the important disease that very detrimental to kenaf is Fusarium wilt caused by <em>Fusarium oxysporum</em> Schlecht. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the response of 70 kenaf germplasm<span style="text-decoration: line-through;">s</span> accessions against <em>F</em><em>.</em><em> oxysporum</em>. The study was conducted at the Phytopatology Laboratory and screen house of Indonesian Sweetener and Fiber Crops Research Institute, Malang using completely randomized design with three replicates.  Seventy accessions and one resistant accession as control (1267 (BG-52-135) were used in this study.  Inoculation of <em>Fusarium</em> was done 7 days after sowing (das) by sprinkling 100 ml of spore suspension into the soil.  Observation of disease intensity started at 10–40 days after inoculation (dai) and repeated every five days.  Percentage of stalk discolorization was estimated at 50 dai.  The results showed that accession 1040 (FJ/017) had the lowest disease intensity (0.83%), hence was categorized as a highly resitant accession. Fourteen accessions were categorized as resistant with disease intensity below or equal to 10%; 28 accessions were moderate resistant; and 27 accessions were susceptible.  FJ/017 (the highset resistant accession) and 14 resis-tant accessions (1064(SUC/012), 1061(SRB/082), 1035(FJ/005), 839(PARC/2709), 955(FJ/003), 842(PARC/ 2712), 1095(SUC/003), 838PARC/2708), 957(FJ/007), 1065(SUC/023), 1042(CHN/056), 145(BL/118), 1036 (FJ/006), dan 778(PARC/2466)) could be used as resistant  genetic sources  in developing new varieties.</p>

Potato (Solanum tuberosum L) isan agricultural crop that has high economic value, it gets priority to be developed. This research at was conducted Screen House of Balai Benih Induk Kentang (BBIK) Kayu Aro subdistrict Kerinci regency.The purpose of this research was to know the effect of planting media On Micro Cutting Growth Of Granola Potato Variety (Solanum Tuberosum L). This study was used Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 6 Treatment 10 Deuteronomy. The observed parameters were percentage of live micro cuttings potato, the high micro cuttings, number of shoots, numbr of leaves, and length of rootwere analyzed by the variance of investigation and followed by DNMRT advanced test at 5% level. The investigation result of the highest percentage (%)of micro cutting potato live was 90%. The High of micro cuttings, number of shoots and number of leaves of micro cuttings granola varieties was showed that no significant effect on the treatment given. Whereas for the root length of micro cuttings showed thatthere was a significantly different effect.

ABSTRACT Fusarium wilt, caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici, is one of the most important diseases of tomato crop in Brazil. Several alternatives to fungicides have been evaluated in search for products that control this disease and have low environmental impact and toxicity to living beings. In this context, the use of Trichoderma spp. is an alternative to agrochemicals, since they are bioregulators and antagonists of several phytopathogens. This work aimed to evaluate the antagonistic and mycoparasitory action of the Trichodermil 1306 biofungicide against F. oxysporum, and its action in the control of fusarium wilt in tomato seeds and seedlings. The biofungicide was used at concentrations of 0, 50, 100, and 150% of the dose recommended for application of 20 L with a backpack sprayer. The experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design with five replications. Data were submitted to analysis of variance and mean compared by Tukey’s test at 5% probability. The 100% Trichodermil concentration was the most efficient for treating tomato seeds. Although this concentration did not show differences in relation to the lowest dose used (50%) in the tomato seed antagonism, mycoparasitism and F. oxysporum incidence tests were recommended because that the lowest concentration resulted in 18% lower root protrusion than that observed with 100% dosage. The in vitro antagonistic and mycoparasitory action of this biological fungicide indicates its potential in the control of fusarium wilt in tomato crops.

This research was conducted at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, University of Kanjuruhan Malang, which began in March until May 2019. The purpose of this study was to study the quality of semen of Kampung Ayam Arabian funds with long stored Arabs that produce in spaces. In this study, the material used was cement of Kampung chickens and Arabic chickens which were requested from two male chickens and 2 male Arab chickens needed 1.5-2 years that had a body weight of ± 2.5 kg and each tail was accommodated 1 time per day and in one shelter done 1 ejaculation. The laboratory test method uses a completely randomized design (factorial). The research treatment is storing time 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 hours. Each payment is repeated ten times. The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance. The conclusion of this study is that there is an effect of shelf life on the quality of spermatozoa. After 4 hours motility is not feasible for IB, after 4 hours the viability is not feasible for all, after 4 hours the abnormality is not feasible for all.

The Wilt in tomato plants is caused by Fusarium oxysporum sp. Lycopersici. Fusarium oxysporum is soil borne which causes considerable losses. FMA as a biological agent provides an alternative opportunity to control root diseases such as fusarium. The purpose of this study was to study the treatment of FMA inoculation which is appropriate while controlling the damage of tomato plants caused by fusarium. The research design used was the experimental method in Completely Randomized Design. The results showed that the treatment of mycorrhizae inoculated one week before planting and continued with fusarium inoculation at the time of planting showed good results in inducing the resistance of tomato plants to fusarium disease. This is evidenced by root colonization in tomato plants by 53% and the average intensity of attacks by 3.14%. The mycorrhizal treatment inoculated one week before planting and followed by fusarium inoculation at planting also showed good results in increasing the growth of tomato plants compared to other treatments applied by mycorrhiza.

Basal plate rot or moler caused by <em>Fusarium oxysporum</em> f. sp. <em>cepae</em> (FOCe) is the most important disease of shallot. However, the information of crop losses attributed to the pathogen is still limited, especially related to resistance of shallot. This paper discusses the correlation between disease severity and resistance of some shallot varieties to yield losses. The experiment was arranged by Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with six varieties of shallot as treatments, each of which consisted of 20 shallots, with three times of replications. The independent variables were the disease severity of twisting leaf and rotting of shallot bulb. The association of disease severity versus yield losses in different varieties was based on the correlation analysis. The results showed that both variables were positively correlated to yield losses, which were significantly affected by the level of resistance. Yield losses in resistant and moderate varieties were at the ranges of 2.13-4.38 and 15, 27.26-40.04, respectively.

The effectiveness of finely ground Sokoto Rock Phosphate and Morocco Rock Phosphate to enhance productivity of maize- (Zea maysL.)Sorghum(Sorghum bicolor) and soybean- (Glycine maxL.)Sorghumcrop rotation schemes was evaluated using Single Super Phosphate as reference fertilizer. The experiments were carried out in the screen house of the Department of Agronomy, University of Ibadan, in February and June 2013. The experiments involved 2 × 2 × 4 × 3 factorial in a Completely Randomized Design. In the first and second croppings, the slightly acidic loamy sand still produced higher biomass than the strongly acidic sandy clay loam. On average, MRP was more efficient than SSP for maize dry biomass but, for soybean dry biomass, MRP was less efficient than SSP in the two soils. Sokoto Rock Phosphate was less efficient in the two location soils compared to SSP for the test crops. There was no difference in performance of P-sources in the second cropping. Soybean-Sorghumcrop rotation scheme produced greaterSorghumbiomass than maize-Sorghumcrop rotation scheme. It is evident that pH and clay contents of soils as well as the rotation crop concerned influence the efficiency of finely ground soluble phosphates in crop rotation schemes.

Aims: The research aimed to study the response of agronomy and physiology of rice plant to different silica sources. Study Design:  Completely randomized design. Place and Duration of Study: The research was conducted in screen house of Faculty of Agriculture, Andalas University, Padang, Indonesia from April to December 2018. Methodology: Completely randomized design was used in the assay. The treatment was 10 Si sources (No silica, Si 1 ppm, Si 2 ppm, Si 3 ppm, husk charcoal 50 g/plant, husk charcoal 100 g/plant, husk charcoal 150 g/plant, husk ash 50 g/plant, husk ash 100 g/plant, husk ash 150 g/plant). The variety was Anak Daro. Each treatment was replied 3 times so that 30 experimental units were obtained. The data was analysed by using F test in 5% and followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) in 5%. The data analysis using software Statistic Tool for Agricultural Research (STAR). Results: Silica sources affected the agronomic and physiological characters of rice plant. 2,3 ppm of silica, 100 and 150 g of husk charcoal and 100 g of husk ash were the best silica source for plant height. 3 ppm silica affected the number of tiller of rice plant. In number of chlorophyll, 150 g of husk ash affected the number of chlorophyll A and the silica sources did not affect the number of chlorophyll B. Conclusion: The sources of silica affected the agronomic and physiological response of rice plant which can be useful for rice cultivation in the region.

Punak (Tetramerista glabra Miq) is an indigenous plant species growing in peat swamp forest that can be propagated vegetatively through shoot cuttings. Punak can be used as a material for plywood,boards, poles, and firewood. The purpose of this study was to obtain root stimulants and growth media to be suitable for the growth of punak shoot cuttings. This  research was conducted at the Silviculture Laboratory and screen house of the Ruang Pamer and Bursa Anggrek, UniversitasTanjungpura.This study used split plot design with a completely randomized design (CRD). The main plot factor was growth media with two levels of factor (cocopeat and cocopeat + husk charcoal) and the sub plot factor was root stimulants with three levels of factor (without root stimulants, rootone-F, and wood vinegar).  The results of this study show that the percentage of life of shoot cuttings was 80 %, while the percentage of cuttings was rooted at 66.66%. Therefore, the effect of root stimulant and growth media are not significant in the growth of punak shoot cuttings, as seen from the time of planting until three-month-observation.Keywords: cocopeat,  husk charcoal,  peat,  restoration,  wood vinegar

An experiment was carried out to study the effect of grafting dates on the success and growth of kumquat sapling during 2017-18 at Banepa, Kavre to standardize suitable grafting time. The experiment was conducted in a single factor completely randomized design with five treatments and three replications. The treatments consisted of five grafting dates which viz., 25th November, 10th December, 25th December, 10th January and 25th January. Scion collected from the mother plant of kumquat was grafted onto two years old trifoliate orange rootstock by side veneer method at 15 days intervals under screen house. The data were recorded at every 30 days interval and found a significant effect of grafting dates on most of the economically important parameters such as graft success percent, the mortality of sprouted grafts, sapling height, number of leaves per sapling and leaf area. The result revealed that 100% graft success was observed on the grafts prepared in January. The highest mortality (13.68±0.58%) was reported on 25th November grafted sapling. The sapling height (39.68±3.68 cm), number of leaves per sapling (23.12±3.43) and leaf area (16.34±1.05 cm2) were found superior for 10th January grafted sapling while the number of primary and secondary branches per sapling were found non-significant for all grafting dates. Therefore, the study revealed that 10th January was the most suitable time for grafting of kumquat under Kavre, Nepal conditions.
