<em><span lang="EN-ID">Natural conditions and geographical situations in Indonesia show that natural disasters are very likely to occur. One of the natural disasters that occurred was an earthquake. The main factor in the occurrence of the earthquake which caused many losses was the lack of knowledge regarding the potential and community preparedness for the earthquake disaster. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of community preparedness in dealing with earthquake disasters. The method used is a qualitative method with sampling using a cluster random sampling of 75 respondents. Analysis of community preparedness uses scoring with the help of Geographic Information Systems on four parameters of preparedness, namely knowledge and attitudes, emergency response plans, disaster warning systems, and resource mobilization. The results of this study are Gangga District community preparedness is divided into two categories, namely the category of moderate preparedness and high preparedness. The category of preparedness is currently found in Bentek, Genggelang, and Rempek villages. Meanwhile, the category of high preparedness is found in Gondang village and Sambik Bangkol village. Considering that the Ganges District is an earthquake-prone area, it is expected that the government, family and community will be able to increase preparedness so that the community can live better in earthquake-prone areas.</span></em>

<p>Global policies on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) address several aspects of environmental life and climate change. There are still challenges that many regions do not pursue the achievement of sustainable development goals which means that SDGs cannot simply and automatically be achieved in several regions due to different contexts and different geographic backgrounds. Extreme climate change can cause natural disasters that have the potential to cause losses and even claim victims. Thus, Lampung, which is a disaster-prone area, is interesting to be studied whether the government and the community's efforts to realize potential disasters have been accomplished properly. This research explains the efforts that have been and need to be done by Lampung Province in responding to potential disasters through a policy brief in order to motivate the government to pay more attention to climate change and natural disasters. This research is a type of qualitative research with primary data that will be taken by using interview techniques and literature review. The survey was conducted by random sampling the people of Lampung regarding the level of awareness of potential disasters. The data will also be obtained by using Google Trend. The results of this research indicate that the efforts of the Lampung Provincial Government such as mitigation, emergency response, reconstruction, rehabilitation, disaster risk assessments, and support from the epistemic community.</p>

Geographically, Indonesia is located on disaster prone area. Natural disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, landslides, volcanic eruptions and non-natural disaster such as Covid-19 Pandemic often occur in various places in Indonesia including in Pidie Jaya, Aceh Province. These disasters have a big influence on many aspects of the socio-economic life of the affected communities. Managing disaster properly will reduce the risk so that it will provide security and resilience community that can anticipate all the impacts of disasters. Collaboration in the form of the Pentahelix Synergy concept involving elements of the Government, Society, Academics, and the Business Industries is one of the important aspect in disaster management. Furthemore, the mass media and the private sector will provide great energy to solve the problem during disaster. This paper discuss about the synergy of Pentahelix in dealing with natural and non-natural disasters in Pidie Jaya Regency, Aceh Province. The results will be useful as lesson learned to support National Security program in Indonesia.

Natural disasters are disasters caused by an event or a series of events caused by nature, it’s as varied as the form of earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, floods, droughts, hurricanes, and landslides (Law number 4 of 2007). Based on data cited from the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in 2018 the number of people who died due to natural disasters was 6,053 people. This data shows that community preparedness to face the threat of disaster optimally is needed. The idea of creating a smartphone-based safety application design equipped with SOS signal sending capabilities is planned to create a disaster response community and rescue response by related parties to reduce disaster risk with the use of the structured application. The synergy between various parties such as the community and also the government in the smooth running of information as quickly as possible will be the key to the effectiveness of this application. People in situations facing natural disasters can reach safe places with the help of an application that has been embedded in the feature to find out safe places for self-evacuation. If there is an emergency the user can also send an SOS signal to the server which will be picked up immediately by the patrol on duty.

Disaster emergency response is an important stage in the process of disaster management in which the action is performed while tackling natural disasters. The goal of the research is to describe the phenomenon of floods and landslides disasters as well as the efforts of emergency response in the event of a disaster in pacitan regency year 2017. Research conducted through a descriptive qualitative approach. Method of data collection with interviews, observation and documentation. As for the data analysis stage include data condensation, data presentation and the final stage, namely the withdrawal of the conclusion. The results showed  flooding and landslides diasters in pacitan regency in the year 2017 including big disaster from a series of disasters that have occurred. These categories include  national scale natural disaster  because there are any victims and damage inflicted is large enough so that the various parties get involved in the handling of the disaster. The process of emergency response in the event of a disaster, led by komadan dandim 0801 military see as commander of the emergency response to natural disasters. Emergency response could be made in learning to cope with disasters that are better realized through disaster prevention and mitigation. Therefore, the overall infrastructure improvements that are vulnerable to disaster-affected and disaster-prone area mapping as well as awareness of stakeholders in the disaster prevention and mitigation very recommended to improve the ability of the community in the face of natural disasters.

Indonesia is a country located in the equator, which has beautiful natural. It has a mountainous constellation, beaches and wider oceans than land, so that Indonesia has extraordinary natural beauty assets compared to other countries. Behind the beauty of natural it turns out that it has many potential natural disasters in almost all provinces in Indonesia, in the form of landslides, earthquakes, tsunamis, Mount Meletus and others. The problem is that the government must have accurate data to deal with disasters throughout the province, where disaster data can be in categories or groups of regions into very vulnerable, medium, and low disaster areas. It is often found when a disaster occurs, many found that the distribution of long-term assistance because the stock for disaster-prone areas is not well available. In the study, it will be proposed to group disaster-prone areas throughout the province in Indonesia using the k-means algorithm. The expected results can group all regions that are very prone to disasters. Thus, the results can be Province West java, central java very vulnerable categories, provinces Aceh, North Sumatera, West Sumatera, east Java and North Sulawesi in the medium category, provinces Bengkulu, Lampung, Riau Island, Babel, DIY, Bali, West Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, Maluku, North Maluku, Papua, west Papua including of rare categories. With the results obtained in this study, the government can map disaster-prone areas as well as prepare emergency response assistance quickly. In order to reduce the death toll and it is important to improve the services of disaster victims. With accurate data can provide prompt and appropriate assistance for victims of natural disasters.

Rice is a staple food and daily routine for Malaysians. Currently, the increasing population in Malaysia has led to the need to increase rice production with more quality. Therefore,the government established a scheme with national organic standards, MS 1259: 2015 which is myOrganic certification to recognize organic farms. Koperasi ABSB is the first rice farm that obtained this certification. Thus, the aims of this study are to explore the implementation of myOrganic in Koperasi ABSB and the barriers faced by this cooperative to implementing myOrganic certification. Qualitative method is used in this case study through interviews and observation. The finding showed that the implementation of myOrganic is as follows, by register myGAP, register myOrganic, Department of Agricultural Malaysia (DOA) will send a supervisor, prepare nine files or records, perform internal and external audit, and renew myOrganic. This study is expected to increase awareness of organic farming practices and promote the implementation of myOrganic in agriculture industry especially for the new farmer who wants to register and obtain myOrganic certification.

Kulon Progo Regency is one of the districts that has many innovations, one of which is community empowerment in collaboration with a modern shop abbreviated as the shop name owned by the people (tomira). This research was motivated by the achievements of the Kulon Progo district government in carrying out development and innovation in the development of the Kulon Progo region by fully involving the Kulon Progo district community through community empowerment. This initiative was taken by the government of Kulon Progo Regency to improve community empowerment and protect the people of Kulon Progo Regency from various economic threats. Considering that in the past few years many modern shops have mushroomed in each district/city, so this is what makes Kulon Progo Regency move quickly to empower the community by collaborating between MSMEs or cooperative with modern shops. This study uses a qualitative method which case study approach. With the empowerment that has been done, the original products of Kulon Progo Regency or local products can be traded in modern stores so that local products in Kulon Progo Regency can compete with national products in these modern stores. The existence of such cooperation will indirectly improve the image of Kulon Progo Regency and lift the original products of Kulon Progo Regency. The lifting of the original products of Kulon Progo Regency will have a positive impact on the community, where indirectly the economy of the community will increase so that there will be prosperity for the community. Kabupaten Kulon Progo adalah salah satu kabupaten yang memiliki banyak inovasi, salah satunya adalah pemberdayaan masyarakat bekerja sama dengan toko modern disingkat nama toko yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat (tomira). Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pencapaian pemerintah kabupaten Kulon Progo dalam melakukan pengembangan dan inovasi dalam pengembangan wilayah Kulon Progo dengan melibatkan sepenuhnya masyarakat kabupaten Kulon Progo melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat. Inisiatif ini diambil oleh pemerintah Kabupaten Kulon Progo untuk meningkatkan pemberdayaan masyarakat dan melindungi masyarakat Kabupaten Kulon Progo dari berbagai ancaman ekonomi. Menimbang bahwa dalam beberapa tahun terakhir banyak toko-toko modern telah menjamur di setiap kabupaten/kota, jadi inilah yang membuat Kabupaten Kulon Progo bergerak cepat untuk memberdayakan masyarakat dengan berkolaborasi antara UMKM atau bekerjasama dengan toko-toko modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, dengan metode yang digunakan adalah dokumentasi. Dengan pemberdayaan yang telah dilakukan, produk asli Kabupaten Kulon Progo atau produk lokal dapat diperdagangkan di toko modern sehingga produk lokal di Kabupaten Kulon Progo dapat bersaing dengan produk nasional di toko modern ini. Adanya kerjasama tersebut secara tidak langsung akan meningkatkan citra Kabupaten Kulon Progo dan mengangkat produk asli Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Pencabutan produk asli Kabupaten Kulon Progo akan berdampak positif bagi masyarakat, di mana secara tidak langsung perekonomian masyarakat akan meningkat sehingga akan ada kesejahteraan bagi masyarakat.

Muhammadiyah is a religious organization that also acts as a or nazhir. In Muhammadiyah, waqf has been moving towards modern development since it is not merely utilized for building mosques and mushalla. This study therefore aims to analyze the optimization of productive waqf management by waqf assesment of Muhammadiyah regional leadhership in Yogyakarta district. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method by conducting observations, documentations, and interviews with the members of nazhir. The results show that Majelis Wakaf dan Kehartabendaan of Pimpinan Daerah Muhammadiyah Kota Yogyakarta as a nazhir has not optimally managed productive waqf from nazhir management and the lack of government suport. Although educating society has been done as an effort to optimize productive waqf. To optimize productive waqf need to be harmony between the society, nazhir, and the government.

Indonesian health insurance (BPJS Kesehatan) has been facing financial deficit and during the coverage of its deficit, media frequently use many medical terms metaphor to describe the financial condition of BPJS Kesehatan. This study aims to examine the medical terms metaphor used to describe the financial deficit of BPJS Kesehatan to further identify the entailments and to pin point what is the cause of sickness and what could cure the sickness. Qualitative method is used in this study with conceptual metaphor theory (Lakoff and Johnson, 1980) as the conceptual framework. There 10 headlines from various online media outlet that are collected as the source of the data. The study examines the particular terms which described BPJS Kesehatan as a sick patient and further analysis is conducted to identify the closest entailments of metaphor, which are to identify who will be the doctor and what cause its sickness. The results shows that the particular conditions  as  metaphor used to describe the financial condition of BPJS Kesehatan is dying (sekarat), critical (kritis), swell (bengkak), and wound (luka).  From the analysis of entailments, the doctor is the government equipped with medical supplies and procedures to cure the patient which is the financial subsidy and the second entailment is the cause of the sickness which is the lack of awareness from the member to pay the premium regularly on time.

This research to analyze the impact of closure policy Teleju brothel by Pekanbaru govermentin 2010. Guidelines for works are Pekanbaru Local Regulations No. 12 of 2008 on Social Order-liness. Closure this brothel inflicts positive and negative impact for society.The research wasconducted to obtain early stage formula for the government to take action against the prostitu-tion activities. This research uses policy research approach with a qualitative method, becausein prostitution activities and prohibition by goverment is an assessment that needs to be done byanalyzing documents and unstructured interview.The results showed that after the closing of the Teleju brothel have an impact on the deploy-ment of a prostitution and affect the economy of the surrounding residents. Government seeksto tackle prostitution in Pekanbaru by moving the brothel, conduct regular raids and providetraining. The effort is considered to be less than the maximum because the handling is not basedon the root of the problem and not programmed properly. There are several causes of failure ofgovernment to overcome the prostitution problem in Pekanbaru, including: policy content isless focus on the prostitution problem, the government did not proceeds with data, lack of finan-cial support, contra productive programs between local government with the police and TNI,and the policy object is difficult to be given understanding.
