The research aims to give practical instructions for applying Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) cycle in a packaging process. Eco-friendly, recycled material and a new packaging method for quality improvement and cost efficiency of heavily fragile product packaging are studied in this paper. A case study was conducted at GPEM laboratory, Vietnamese German University, Vietnam. In this case study, the current packaging style with Styrofoam material was analyzed and replaced by new packaging material and methods after applying the PDCA cycle for continuous quality improvement. Targets of the research were to find the new packaging method using friendly environment materials, to improve the quality, and to reduce the defect ratio due to packaging for fine-stone round surface fountains. Moreover, the extra cost should not be higher than 20% compared with the current packaging cost. The article proposes a simplified way that focuses on the combination of quality tools in the PDCA multiple phases to solve these problems. The quality tools are applied effectively through the PDCA cycle from collecting data, defining, analysis, testing, evaluation, and making decisions. New packaging design was been produced and tested successfully. One hundred percent of new packaging boxes for the mid-weight fountains (under 15 kg) passed the dropping test condition. Nearly 10% of the heavier weight products (above 15 kg) still had some small cracks on their top and bottom due to drop tests. Another PDCA cycle is recommended to continue applying for achieving a thorough solution. The conducted results show that PDCA is an effective method to tackle the damage product issue due to inappropriate packaging material and technique. It also brings good solutions for balancing sustainable packaging improvement and reducing the cost to ensure profit for companies. Besides contributing a guide reference for PDCA deployment, the authors intend to inspire practitioners and researchers to broaden exploration of the PDCA applications for sustainable packaging methodology. The research analysis shows that the PDCA methodology should be applied for defect reduction and quality enhancement in the packaging field. The field currently lacks systematic guidance for continuous improvement.

Financial information system is an information system that provides information to individuals or groups of people, both inside and outside the company that contains financial problems and information about the flow of money for users in the company. Financial information systems are used to solve financial problems in a company, by meeting three financial principles: fast, safe, and inexpensive.Quick principle, the intention is that financial information systems must be able to provide the required data on time and can meet the needs. The Safe Principle means that the financial information system must be prepared with consideration of internal controls so that company assets are maintained. The Principle of Inexpensive, the intention is that the cost of implementing a financial information system must be reduced so that it is relatively inexpensive. Therefore we need technology media that can solve financial problems, and produce financial information to related parties quickly, safely and cheaply. One example of developing information technology today is computer technology and internet. Starting from financial problems and technological advances, the authors make a website-based financial management application to facilitate the parties that perform financial management and supervision.Method of development application program is used Waterfall method, with the following stages: Software Requirement Analysis, Software Design, Program Code Making, Testing, Support, Maintenance.

Shift to The Front II Komplek Sukamukti Banjaran Project is one of the projects implemented by one of the companies engaged in telecommunications. In its implementation, each project including Shift to The Front II Komplek Sukamukti Banjaran has a time limit specified in the contract. Project scheduling is an important role in predicting both the cost and time in a project. Every project should be able to complete the project before or just in the time specified in the contract. Delay in a project can be anticipated by accelerating the duration of completion by using the crashing method with the application of linear programming. Linear programming will help iteration in the calculation of crashing because if linear programming not used, iteration will be repeated. The objective function in this scheduling is to minimize the cost. This study aims to find a trade-off between the costs and the minimum time expected to complete this project. The acceleration of the duration of this study was carried out using the addition of 4 hours of overtime work, 3 hours of overtime work, 2 hours of overtime work, and 1 hour of overtime work. The normal time for this project is 35 days with a service fee of Rp. 52,335,690. From the results of the crashing analysis, the alternative chosen is to add 1 hour of overtime to 34 days with a total service cost of Rp. 52,375,492. This acceleration will affect the entire project because there are 33 different locations worked on Shift to The Front II and if all these locations can be accelerated then the duration of completion of the entire project will be effective

Abstract A component failure has the potential to significantly impact the cost, manufacturing schedule, and/or the perceived reliability of a system, especially if the root cause of the failure is not known. A failure analysis is often key to mitigating the effects of a componentlevel failure to a customer or a system; minimizing schedule slips, minimizing related accrued costs to the customer, and allowing for the completion of the system with confidence that the reliability of the product had not been compromised. This case study will show how a detailed and systemic failure analysis was able to determine the exact cause of failure of a multiplexer in a high-reliability system, which allowed the manufacturer to confidently proceed with production knowing that the failure was not a systemic issue, but rather that it was a random “one time” event.
