ABSTRACT This research is purposed by to describe the efforts of schools in improving the creativity of learners in the subject of Civics through the implementation of PBL. The research methodology used in this research is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research subjects are including principals, teachers, and learners. In collecting the data, the techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation and conclusion/verification. The result of this research shows that the efforts of the school and the principal's role in enhancing the creativity of learners are maximal. It can be proved in the provision of opportunities for learners to explore and to develop the potential and capabilities they had. Schools also provide programs "foster friends" with the purpose diminishes the administrative burden of students, especially those from poor families. This article aims to determine the extent of the mathematical connection ability of the linear equations system of two variables in terms of the connection representation and procedural connections. This type of research uses a qualitative approach. This study's subjects were the students of class X MIPA 1 MA P2K Al Hidayah Lajukidul, which numbered 24 students. However, only six subjects were taken based on the level of mathematical connection ability high, medium, and low that had been selected by mathematics subject teachers based on students' ability to solve math story problems. The research instrument consisted of tests and interview questions. Data analysis techniques using the model of Miles and Huberman include data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The study results showed that in question no. 1, all research subjects can represent connections and procedural connections, students can write mathematical symbols and answer questions using formulas correctly. In problem no.2, only the subject of high mathematical connection ability can connect representation and procedural connections. The other subject is not quite right in writing mathematical symbols. In question no.3, only subjects with low mathematical connection ability do not have representation and procedural connection skills; students only write what is known but is incomplete. In conclusion, the two-variable linear equation system's mathematical connection ability in terms of the connection representation and procedural connections are not evenly distributed.   Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauhmana kemampuan koneksi matematis materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel ditinjau dari koneksi representasi dan koneksi prosedural. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIPA 1 MA P2K Al Hidayah Lajukidul yang berjumlah 24 siswa tetapi hanya diambil 6 subjek berdasarkan tingkat kemampuan koneksi matematis tinggi, sedang, dan rendah yang telah dipilih oleh guru mata pelajaran matematika berdasarkan kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari soal tes dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada soal  no. 1 semua subjek penelitian mempunyai kemampuan koneksi representasi dan koneksi prosedural, siswa mampu menuliskan simbol matematika dan menjawab soal menggunakan rumus dengan benar. Pada soal no.2 hanya subjek kemampuan koneksi matematis tinggi yang mempunyai kemampuan koneksi representasi dan koneksi prosedural, subjek yang lain kurang tepat dalam menuliskan simbol matematika. Pada soal no.3 hanya subjek kemampuan koneksi matematis rendah yang belum mempunyai kemampuan koneksi representasi dan prosedural, siswa hanya menuliskan apa yang diketahui tetapi tidak lengkap. Kesimpulannya kemampuan koneksi matematis materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel ditinjau dari koneksi representasi dan koneksi prosedural belum merata.

Background of this research is the module who was made by the teachers of history at 6th high school. Module was purposed to make the student to be easier in their study. Module gives them something that teacher can’t do and it has something different than other sources. Learning by the module is a teacher history initiative, this can be seen from this school is the only one who uses this module. This research aims to know about the opinion of teachers and students about the effectiveness of the module in the learning process. Kind of this research was descriptive-qualitative. The data taken from two history teachers, sixteen students of class X1, 6 student of class X2 and sconehool leader. The data obtained using the techniques of observation, interviews and documentation. Validity of the data in this study were tested using data triangulation technique. Then the data were analyzed with data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that, the modules made by the subject teachers of history used by all students, so that modules made effective then teachers should refer to the theory proposed by M. Rogers Everret where modules have advantages, consistent, complexity, can be tested and observed. The fifth aspect presented by Rogers is already almost owned by modules made by the subject teachers of history.

This study aims to determine the implementation of the Electronic Identity Card (e-KTP) policy in the Population and Civil Registry Office of Padangsidimpuan City. In this study using the George C Edward III implementation model that is considered very appropriate and has detailed variables. This study uses a qualitative approach to data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate, the implementation of the Electronic Identity Card (e-KTP) policy has been running since 2015. However, there are still some problems encountered. Of the 4 variables in the George C Edward III implementation model namely communication, resources, disposition and bureaucrat structure. The results showed that the Disduk Capil Kota Padang Sidempuan only fulfilled 2 variables. The 2 variables are fulfilled namely disposition and bureaucrat structure. While two more variables that are not fulfilled are communication and resources.

In Aceh, the role of Dayah is very important considering its existence is supported by society especially in education.  Other problems arise when viewed from the socio-cultural context of society when faced with the diversity present in the midst of society, especially in the border area of ACEH. The existence of Dayah amid the diversity of society consisting of various tribes and religions is certainly a challenge for the existence of Dayah as an institution that provides the character of ACEH youth. This kind of condition happened in southeast Aceh. This article aims to see how the role of education in the form of youth character in Southeast Aceh. This study used a qualitative approach with the subject is the head of Dayah, the Council of Teachers, and the students in the Dayah. The Dayah is randomly selected. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. Then the data is analyzed by using data reduction measures, displays. The results of research show that Dayah in southeast Aceh has an important position in the midst of society. Its existence is supported by the government and community, and one of the districts that have the most Dayah in Aceh. The students graduated from the Dayah felt a difference before studying in the father after studying in the Dayah. In the development Dayah did not experience any meaningful obstacles.

This study aims to determine the implementation of  Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) learning model, enhancing critical thinking and students’ learning outcome on archiving. This research is a classroom action research utilizing  qualitative approach consisting of two cycles on students of Office Administration. The subject were students at  one of the vocational school in East Java, using data analysis in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusion or verification. The results showed that POE learning model is able to improve students' ability to think on Archiving. The students’ cognitive learning, affective, and psychomotor  also increased as the implementation of learning model. Hence, the POE learning model is effectively used in learning.

This article aims to describe how the inheritance of the cultural traditions values of the Suku Anak Dalam Air Hitam, Sarolangun, Jambi. The research was conducted with a qualitative approach. Data collected through observation, interviews, documentation. Data were analyzed using data analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Testing the validity of the data by triangulation of sources. The results of the study found that the inheritance of cultural traditions values Suku Anak Dalam Air Hitam, Sarongun Jambi was carried out face-to-face, the involvement of the younger generation (children) in culture, and customary rules. The values inherited are individual, social and love values for the country.

The aim of this study was identify the management of student’s character education SMAN 2 Banguntapan. This study applied a qualitative approach. The data collecting techniques were observation, interview, and documentation. Data collected from that technique were analyzed by using data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results of this study reveal that the implementation of character education in SMAN 2 Banguntapan has been integrated in school activity on three main form: (1) combine with learning activities, (2) combine with extracurricular activities, (3) combine with cultivation and making people accustomed. The management of student’s character education in SMAN 2 Banguntapan students is consist of: (1) the planning of character education; (2) the organization of character education; (3) the implementation of character education; and (4) the supervision of character education.

This study aims to know the role of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDES) in society economic empowerment at Mas-mas Village, Batukliang Utara District, and Central Lombok Regency. This study was descriptive qualitative approach. The study was conducted from June to July at Mas-Mas Village, Batukliang Utara, and Central Lombok. The data collection techniques used interview, documentation, and observation with study subjects, namely the Head of Village, BUMDES management and some society of Mas-mas. The researcher used techniques of source triangulation. Data analysis in this study uses an interactive analysis model that is analysis using data reduction, data presentation, and verification and conclusions. The results of this study indicated that the role of BUMDES Lintang Mas had not been maximized in society economic empowerment at society of Mas-mas Village; it can be seen from the types of businesses run by BUMDES. In addition, the level of society participation was still low.

This study aims to describe Reyog Ponorogo from the historical aspect, the negative stigma that has accompanied its development, and local wisdom that spreads to all its components. This problem is studied using a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using in-depth interviews with data collection tools is the researcher himself as a key instrument. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analytical with the process of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings of this study are as follows; (1) Reyog Obyog is an important and inseparable part of Reyog Ponorogo. In fact, it is very possible that Reyog Obyog is the origin of the Reyog Ponorogo which has developed and is known to the public today; (2) Reyog Obyog performance model which tends to be free, not bound by standards, is performed in the audience and is predominantly filled with entertainment, in its development various negative stigmas have emerged in the community, namely eroticism, drunkenness, and mystical performance rituals; (3) The Reyog Obyog has a great value in the form of a noble life guidance which is strategic enough to be used as a medium for building civilization.

Islamic Religious Education is an important and inseparable part of the educational curriculum in Indonesia. Besides being an obligation for its adherents, Islamic learning can instill the values of faith and make students possess noble morals (akhlakul karimah). This study aims to examine and discuss how the implementation process of Islamic education in instilling noble morals in students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah (Islamic Junior High School). This study uses a qualitative approach with data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing as the data analysis. The sample of this study was the principal of the madrasah, vice-principal, students, and teachers of Islamic education in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Makassar. The results of the analysis of this study indicate that through the implementation of Islamic Religious Education, the students could possess noble characters. There are eight behaviors that are applied to instill the noble characters, namely habituating the smiles, salaam, and greetings, mutual respect (tolerance), sunnah fasting on Monday and Thursday, performing the Duha prayer, performing dhuhr prayers, reciting the Quran, congregational prayer, and getting used to alms giving (infaq). These eight commendable behaviors are recommended for teachers and principals to be applied in their respective schools.
