Abstract: This study aimed at collecting emperical data of creative writing activities applying whole languageapproach to the students of grade 5 of Primary School. The study conducted at SDN, Pondok Kelapa 05 Pagi,Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, as from August through December 2018, employing classroom action research. Theintervention design of the research adopted the model of Kemmis and Taggard. The data were collected by observationand test of writing skill. The data were analyzed by reducing and displaying the data for conclusion, verification,and reflection. The result the resarch showed the improvement of the students’ writing skills in each cycle until thethird cycle, that it can be concluded that writing instruction by journal writing activities as a component of wholelanguage approach can improve the students’ creative writing skills. <p>The aims of this research are to know about the use of flashcards to improve the English Young Learners’ writing skills. English has four skills to be learned; they are listening, speaking, reading, and writing, and writing skill is the most difficult skill to be taught and learnt. Flashcards are one of the ways to improve the learners’ skill, especially EYL writing skill. The participants of this research are English Young Learners (EYL) in of the English Course at Gading Serpong, Tangerang. Classroom Action Research (CAR) was used as the method of the research and the English Young Learners’ (EYL) story paper are used as the instruments of the research. The results of the research are: (1) Most learners were excited when they are asked to see the colorful flashcard; (2) Learners who have good writing skill could make the story by completing the missing words and answer the questions then arrange the answer sentences well and (3) Learners who are not really master in writing, got some difficulties not only in completing the missing words but also answering then arranging the answer sentences well.</p>

<p><em>Lowness of poetry writing skill on four grade student of jetis 2 primary school makes researcher done a research with Think Talk Write model of study. The purpose of this research was to improve poetry writing skill on student. The type of this research was Classroom Action Research because to emphasize improvements in classroom learning. Result of this research was average score of students’ poetry writing on first test before the action done was 47. After cycle one, the score increased to 71,83, and at cycle 2 it became 77,67. The previous classical comprehensiveness of poem writing skill was 20%, then increased to 60% on first cycle, and rose again into 77,67% on second cycle.The conclusion of this research was the implementation of Think Talk Write (TTW) model can improve students’ skill on writing poetry on four grade students of Jetis 2 Primary School in academic year of 2017/2018.</em></p>

The present Classroom Action Research (CAR) initiated when the researcher found the students at the eighth-grade students of SMP Juara Pekanbaru had low writing skills. This problem could be identified from their base scores below the standard minimum score (GPA). It was 64,06. The purpose of this research was to try to develop the students’ writing skill and to know the factors that influenced the changing of students’ writing skill. This research was conducted from March up to May 2019 in two cycles consisted of ten meetings. The participants of this research were 27 students of the Andalusia class. In improving the students’ writing skill, a narrative text was used as a learning media. The instruments used in this research were writing test, interview, field note and also observation list to help understand the phenomenon. This research showed that the students got the score 72,22 in cycle 1 dan 84,49 in cycle 2, especially on organization with an increase of 4,47. It could be seen that scrambled pictures media could improve the students’ writing skill.

In recent days there is a growing interest in the study of creative writing. A number of approaches for teaching creative writing have also been investigated.  However, studies investigating creative writing particularly for primary school students are hardly to find. The aim of the present research is to figure out how conferencing approach is applied to teach poetry writing and to find out the impact of this approach to the students’ writing skills. The study used a classroom action research with 30 sixth-grade students as the participants. To ensure the present approach effectively improves the learning achievement, the study used three cycles of teaching steps, including classical, group, and individual. Various media and sources to support the learning activities were also used. The results of the study show that there is a significant improvement in students’ writing skills, in which the average score of the third cycle was twice higher than that of the first cycle. This suggests that conferencing instruction had been successful in improving students’ writing skills. The process of interaction, both among students and between students and the teachers, were also emphasized. In addition, the teachers gained an experience of assesing poetry writing analytically using four aspects: creative idea, diction, information, and imagination.

<p><em>The aim of this research is to determine the improvement of students ‘learning outcomes in writing skill of indonesian by using flash cards media. The research conducted was a Classroom Action Research (PTK) with three cycles consisting of two meetings. Each meeting is carried out a pre test and post test. The subjects of this study were grade I SD Negeri Banjaranyar 01 which consisted of 24 students. KKM standard 65 out of 24 students only 11 students or 45.8% who reached a value of 65 and above while 13 students or 54.2% got a score below KKM. The results showed that the improvement of students”learning outcomes in writing skills of  Indonesian. In the pre-cycle obtained an average score of the 45.8%. Then increased in first cycle with a score of 58.3%, increased back in the second cycle 87.5%. These results indicated that using flash cards can improved the sudents”learning outcomes in writing skills of Indonesian especially grade I at SD Negeri Banjaranyar 01 Brebes.</em></p>

Abstract: Many of Grade 5 students of Government Primary School No 12, Kedaung Angke, West Jakarta, didnot attain the learning mastery standard in speaking to convey information and writing verbal news summary.This classroom action research was conducted to solve the following problem: Can audiovisual instructional mediaimprove the ability of Grade 5 students of of Government Primary School No 12, Kedaung Angke, West Jakarta, tospeak to convey information and write verbal news summary? The research conducted in September and October2011 aimed at improving the instructional quality in speaking to convey information and writing verbal newssummary by using audiovisual media. After 2 cycles of interventions, the students could attain the learning masterystandard in speaking to convey information and writing verbal news summar. The research concluded, usingaudiovisual instructional media can improve the students’ speaking and writing ability in Indonesian. Writing might be difficult for some people (Alwasilah, 2007). Some students can speak English fluently and confidently, although since they have difficulties in conveying their ideas in writing. Thus, it needs the effective and efficient model of teaching to improve the teaching learning process. Synectic model of teaching is a model applied to enhance students’ ability to write. This model combines various forms of metaphoric thinking to see old ideas in different ways. In this research, the researcher used audiovisual media to support learning. The purpose of this research is to find out students’ improvement in writing descriptive texts using synectic model of teaching. The sample of the research was 36 students of class IXD in MTsN 2 Pontianak. The research was Classroom Action Research using Kemmis and MC Taggart model with two cycles. The result shows that there is improvement in students writing skill. The mean score of pre-test is 56.01, posttest 1 is 66.5, and posttest 2 is 87.46. It means the application of synectic model of teaching using audiovisual media is able to increase students’ ability in writing descriptive text.

The purpose of this study is to measure the improvement of the students' writing skills on poetry by implementing quantum learning strategy at tenth-grade of MAN 1 Kota Serang. The research question is stated as follows: (1) can quantum learning strategy improve students’ writing skill on poetry at tenth-grade of MAN I Kota Serang? (2) how it can be implemented to improve students’ writing skills on poetry at tenth-grade of MAN I Kota Serang. The researcher used classroom action research as its method. The pre-activity result shows that the average scores of students writing is 57.44. This result, then, tried to be improved by using quantum learning strategy. Since quantum learning is implemented, the mean of students’ scores in cycle 1 improves 13.38% into 66.32. Since the score is still lower than ideal score, which is 75, the research is continued to cycle 2. The result in cycle 2 shows the improvement of students’ score into 77.74, or improves 14.68% from cycle 1. This result proves that quantum learning strategy can improve students’ writing skill on poetry.

This study is a class action (class action reseach). Based on test results daily writing on students' class XII IPA 4 SMAN 9 Pekanbaru encountered symptoms as follows: only 11 students or 30,55% of the 36 students who have the ability to write a developing Paragraph of explanation textdalam good English so it has reached KKM predetermined is 85. A total of 25 students or 69,4% of the 36 students had difficulty in writing textsehingga developing paragraph of explanation they have not been able to achieve a predetermined KKM. Students find it quickly bored with the lessons presented, it can be seen from their activities are often played or talked with friends when subjects exercised. This study was conducted in two cycles, the data is described is writing developing paragraph of explanation text, ie before the action on the first cycle, the second cycle, each cycle is done in one meeting. This classroom action research in order to work well without barriers obstructing the smooth running of the study, researchers compiled stages traversed in action research, namely: (1) planning/ preparatory actions; (2) Implementation of the action; (3) observation; and (4) reflection. Based on the results of the discussion and analysis as presented in chapter VII can be concluded that the application of the approach contextual teaching and learning (CTL) can improve the ability to write a text explanation developing paragraph of english in english class students of class XII IPA 4 SMAN 9 Pekanbaru. Based on the survey results revealed that developing writing skills of explanation text paragraph british student before action classical gained an average of 64,40 in the first cycle of classical gained an average of 72,50, the second cycle obtain the average classical 90,20.

Research problem is the low skill of writing poetry student in class V SDN 005 Koto Sentajo. The aim of thestudy is to improve poetry writing skills. The research method is classroom action research. The results of thefirst meeting data on the first cycle with a percentage of 39%, at the second meeting in cycle I percentage of61%, on the second cycle at the first meeting of 89% and increased to 93%, while the student activity on the firstcycle of the first meeting of 60% , increased to 71% at the second meeting. In cycle II, the first meeting of 89%increased to 92% student activity at the second meeting. Students complete in classical completeness of poetry inthe first daily re-completion reached 55% to 73% complete with classical thorough category. The conclusion ofthe research is that the application of contextual approach can improve poetry writing skills.
