The processes of digital transformation, reaching global scales of development and dissemination affect not only communication technologies, but also have a transformative impact on all spheres of social and legal interaction. Thus, cyberspace mechanisms are part of the modern electronic document flow. Electronic digital signature is currently a widespread product of digital development of society. Until now, it has been generally assumed that it has the characteristics of a high degree of legal reliability and security. The authors of the article, analyzing the practice of offenses in the field of electronic digital signature, question this argument. Noting the weaknesses of the mechanism for confirming authorship by an authorized person with the help of cryptographically-converted by electronic encryption of the document details, they suggest possible ways to resolve existing issues in this area of social and legal interaction at the present stage. Mandatory presence of the person, either in person or online, with video recording and identification.

Abstract Background Patients may seek health care services from various providers during treatment. These providers could serve in a network (affiliated) or practice separately (unaffiliated). Thus, using secure and reliable health information exchange (HIE) mechanisms would be critical to transfer sensitive personal health information (PHI) across distances. Studying patients' perceptions and opinions about exchange mechanisms could help health care providers build more complete HIEs' databases and develop robust privacy policies, consent processes, and patient education programs. Objectives Due to the exploratory nature of this study, we aim to shed more light on public perspectives (benefits, concerns, and risks) associated with the four data exchange practices in the health care sector. Methods In this study, we compared public perceptions and expectations regarding four common types of exchange mechanisms used in the United States (i.e., traditional, direct, query-based, patient-mediated exchange mechanisms). Traditional is an exchange through fax, paper mailing, or phone calls, direct is a provider-to-provider exchange, query-based is sharing patient data with a central repository, and patient-mediated is an exchange mechanism in which patients can access data and monitor sharing. Data were collected from 1,624 subjects using an online survey to examine the benefits, risks, and concerns associated with the four exchange mechanisms from patients' perspectives. Results Findings indicate that several concerns and risks such as privacy concerns, security risks, trust issues, and psychological risks are raised. Besides, multiple benefits such as access to complete information, communication improvement, timely and convenient information sharing, cost-saving, and medical error reduction are highlighted by respondents. Through consideration of all risks and benefits associated with the four exchange mechanisms, the direct HIE mechanism was selected by respondents as the most preferred mechanism of information exchange among providers. More than half of the respondents (56.18%) stated that overall they favored direct exchange over the other mechanisms. 42.70% of respondents expected to be more likely to share their PHI with health care providers who implemented and utilized a direct exchange mechanism. 43.26% of respondents believed that they would support health care providers to leverage a direct HIE mechanism for sharing their PHI with other providers. The results exhibit that individuals expect greater benefits and fewer adverse effects from direct HIE among health care providers. Overall, the general public sentiment is more in favor of direct data transfer. Our results highlight that greater public trust in exchange mechanisms is required, and information privacy and security risks must be addressed before the widespread implementation of such mechanisms. Conclusion This exploratory study's findings could be interesting for health care providers and HIE policymakers to analyze how consumers perceive the current exchange mechanisms, what concerns should be addressed, and how the exchange mechanisms could be modified to meet consumers' needs.

Recent work on Arabic metrics aims at developing a coherent research programme which relies on the systematic analysis of electronic corpora. The computer program XALIYL performs, for any line of ancient Arabic poetry, an automatic recognition of the metre used. This operation takes place whatever the length of the verses, and regardless of whether they are encoded in ordinary Arabic script (with the addition of vowels) or by means of the TRS system, which relates functionally to ordinary Arabic script. XALIYL produces a textual database that contains the syllabic decomposition for each hemistich of each line, as well as its metrical analysis. It can cope not only with the general problems linked to re-syllabification and sandhi, but also with problems of syllabification specific to Arabic metrics. Errors due to the metrical scanning or to the editing of poems can be located automatically. Moreover, by allowing a computerised search for formulae, XALIYL provides significant information on the “formulaic systems” of ancient Arabic poetry.

The purpose of the research is to increase the level of security of electronic document metadata in the face of destructive influences from authorized users (insiders). Research methods: new scientific results allowed using a combination of data integrity control method based on the «write once» method and of authentication of HMAС messages (hash-based message authentication, as well as graph theory methods. Research result: a method of cryptographic recursive 2-D control of the integrity of electronic documents metadata is proposed. The analysis of the object of the study was carried out, based on the results of which it was concluded that it is necessary to effectively protect the metadata of electronic documents processed by automated information systems of electronic document management. Developed and described a mathematical model of the proposed method, based on graph theory. The developed technical solution makes it possible to implement the functions of cryptographic recursive twodimensional control of the integrity of the metadata of electronic documents, as well as to provide the possibility of localizing modified (with signs of violation of integrity) metadata records, in conditions of destructive influences of authorized users (insiders). This, in turn, reduces the likelihood of collusion between trusted parties by introducing mutual control over the results of their actions. The proposed solution makes it possible to ensure control of the integrity of data processed by departmental automated information systems of electronic document management, where, due to the peculiarities of their construction, it is impossible to effectively use the currently popular blockchain technology.

The expansion of scale and the increase of complexity of construction projects puts higher requirements on the level of collaboration among different stakeholders. How to realize better information interoperability among multiple disciplines and different software platforms becomes a key problem in the collaborative process. openBIM (building information model), as a common approach of information exchange, can meet the needs of information interaction among different software well and improve the efficiency and accuracy of collaboration. To the best of our knowledge, there is currently no comprehensive survey of openBIM approach in the context of the AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) industry, this paper fills the gap and presents a literature review of openBIM. In this paper, the openBIM related standards, software platforms, and tools enabling information interoperability are introduced and analyzed comprehensively based on related websites and literature. Furthermore, engineering information interoperability research supported by openBIM is analyzed from the perspectives of information representation, information query, information exchange, information extension, and information integration. Finally, research gaps and future directions are presented based on the analysis of existing research. The systematic analysis of the theory and practice of openBIM in this paper can provide support for its further research and application.

The problem of application design by restriction and delay in ED (Electronic Document) management based on blockchain technologies to ensure a new level of security, reliability, transparency of data processing is considered. Increasing the reliability of information in systems by limiting and delaying ED management of enterprises and organizations during collecting, transmitting, storing and processing ED based on new, little-studied optimization technologies for processing blockchain-type data is a relevant and promising research topic. Important advantages of the potential use of transaction blocks built according to certain rules in systems by limiting and delaying ED are ensuring security by encrypting transactions for subsequent confirmation, the inability to make unauthorized changes due to the dependence of the current blockchain state on previous transactions, transparency and reliability of procedures due to public and distributed storage, as well as the interaction of a large number of users between without the use of “trusted intermediaries”. Studies show that when using existing algorithms for adding blocks in any system, it is possible to achieve the requirements of decentralization, openness of the entered data, the inability to change the data once entered into the system. However, mathematics-cryptographic information protection must be developed for each designed system separately. The task of providing and formulating the rules of data reliability control by limiting and delaying in ED circulation based on cryptographic methods of encrypting transaction blocks constituting the blockchain has been formulated. The approaches have been adopted as a methodology of support for systems by limiting and delaying electronic documents based on a new database architecture.

Purpose – This article aims to describe how people manage to integrate their use of paper and electronic documents in modern office work environments. Design/methodology/approach – An observational interview type study of 14 participants from 11 offices in eight organizations was conducted. Recorded data were analysed using a thematic analysis method. This involved reading and annotation of interview transcripts, categorizing, linking and connecting, corroborating, and producing an account of the study. Findings – The findings of the study can be categorized into four groups: the roles paper and electronic documents serve in today's offices, the ways in which these documents are managed, the problems associated with their management, and the types of fragmentation that exist in terms of their management and how these are dealt with. Practical implications – The study has identified the need for better integrated management of paper and electronic documents in present-day offices. The findings of the study have then been used to propose a set of guidelines for the development of integrated paper and electronic document management systems. Originality/value – Although similar studies of offices have been conducted in the past, almost all of these studies are prior to the widespread use of mobile and network-based shared technologies in office environments. Furthermore, previous studies have generally failed to identify and propose guidelines for integration of paper and electronic document management systems.
