Abstract           This research is aimed to: (1) identify character values which are actualized in history learning, (2) analyse the form of character values actualization which are actualized in history learning. This research is descriptive qualitative research with case study approach. Research sample is conducted using Purposive. Data analysis technique uses interactive analysis technique from Miles and Huberman which consist of data collection, data presentation and conclusion. The research findings show: (1) the values actualized in history learning are honesty, responsibility, love homeland, religious, discipline, curiosity, mutual respect, politeness, (2) the form of characteristic values actualization are statement admitting mistakes, congregation Zuhur pray, reciting Al-Quran, singing national anthem and hero songs before starting the lesson, attempting to get knowledge by asking. Keyword: actualization, character values, history learning, senior high school

The objectives of this study are: (1) to find out the implementation of character education, (2) to find out the implementation of Piil Pesenggiri local wisdom values ​​as character education in Indonesian history learning, (3) to find out the obstacles in the implementation of Piil Pesenggiri local wisdom values as character education in Indonesian history learning. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method with a case study approach in State Senior High School 2 Kalianda. The results showed that: (1) the implementation of character education in State Senior High School 2 Kalianda was generally applied to all subjects, including Indonesian history subjects, (2) the implementation of Piil Pesenggiri local wisdom values ​​as character education in the process of Indonesian history learning was carried out by compiling a syllabus and lesson plan (RPP) by incorporating into Indonesian historical material about the Lampung people's resistance strategy toward European colonization consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation, (3) the constraints experienced by teachers in implementing Piil Pesenggiri local wisdom values as character education in the process of learning history includes the lack of learning resources and the negative influence of the globalization era.

The purpose of this research is (1) analyze student’s concept in answering the association test, (2) analyze the concept of understanding  relationship  to  answer  the test depends on the student’s school origin.The method used in this research is qualitative with case study approach. In clustering sampling technique the subject was used in this research is 6 students, shared  in  3  groups.  They  are  2  students come from public vocational school, 2 students come from public senior high school and 2 students come from private senior high school and vocational school. Data was collected through test and interview.   Data   analysis   used   in   this research refers to Milles and Huberman in Moellong’s book; they are data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. The result showed that the student’s understanding is various enough in answering the  set  test.  Depending on  the first subject analysis (S1) who came from private school, he did not understand about the concept of set. The second subject analysis (S2) and the third subject analysis (S3)  who  came  from  public  school,  they had understood. But, they need to be careful and patient to avoid the mistakes. The data which  had  gained from deeply interview, showed that the subject analysis (S1), (S2) and (S3) were able to indicate the relationship of school origin with the student’s concept of understanding within answering the set test.

This article is about a research study conducted to describe and clarifypoliteness in speech acts using Indonesian in the talk done during a lesson in theclassroom at SMA PMT Hamka, a senior high school in Padang Pariaman,Sumatra Barat, focusing on representations of (1) the forms of politeness in thespeech acts, (2) the functions of politeness in the speech acts, and (3) the strategiesof using politeness in the speech acts. It was a case study with communicationethnography and pragmatics as its starting points. The data consisted of two types:data from utterances and data from field notes. The two types of data, compiled bymeans of recordings, observations, and interviews, were analyzed with aninteractive model of analysis.The research findings are as follows. First, in the context ofrepresentations of the forms of speech-act politeness, it is found that (a) suchrepresentations using Indonesian use the declarative, interrogative, and imperativemodes, (b) the use of the declarative mode represents command, request, advice,and praise, (c) the use of the interrogative mode represents requesting, asking forwhat students have promised, clarifying whether students have understood, andgiving a warning, (d) the use of the imperative mode represents invitation to dosomething, request, and command, (e) a softening of the illocution power is foundin utterances using the declarative and interrogative modes so that the utterancesare felt to be polite, (f) utterances using the interrogative mode, however, tends tohave a strengthening effect on the illocution power so that the utterances are feltless polite. Second, in the context of representations of the functions of speech-actpoliteness, it is found that (a) the functions of politeness in directive acts consist ofrequesting, permitting, advising, commanding, and forbidding functions and (b)the functions of politeness in expressive acts consist of praising and thankingfunctions. Third, in the context of representations of the strategies of speech-actpoliteness, it is found that (a) utterances can be direct, realized in completeimperative form and imperative form with incomplete phrase and (b) utterancescan be indirect by (1) being with expressions of politeness used in a positive way,(2) being with expressions of politeness used in a negative way, and (3) beingunclear.Keywords: politeness, speech act, directive, expressive, classroom instruction120

This research is done to know the motivation of what is behind the students run a lecture activity that requires science as a form of responsibility as a student and in addition also undergoes work activities that are working on a task to get wages or satisfaction. In this study, researchers used qualitative research with a case study approach, where researchers investigated carefully a program, event, activity, process, or group of individuals. The subject of this study is the students of the PGSD FKIP UWGM from the 2016 to 2019 class who are undergoing college activities while working. To obtain the necessary data in this study conducted various techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques conducted include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Research findings show that the motivation of students to run a lecture while working because students ' desire to be independent and change their life for the better, by gaining a high education but they must fight the matter by working so that their needs are the cost of living, tuition fees, and other expenses can be fulfilled without having to ask with parents. And try to balance both activities in order to run well and support each other.

<em>The purpose of this research is to describe and explain: (1) the characterization<strong> </strong>of the figures in the novel Jokowi Si Tukang Kayu by Gatotkoco Suroso, (2) the inner conflict experienced by the main figure, (3) the values of character education in the novel Jokowi Si Tukang Kayu by Gatotkoco Suroso, (4) the relevance of the values of character education as teaching materials of literature appreciation in senior high school. This research is a descriptive qualitative research which used pscychology literature. The technique of data analysis used was interactive analysis technique. The result of this research showed that the characterization of the figures in the novel Jokowi Si Tukang Kayu by Gatotkoco Suroso are described through three dimensions, dimension of psysiological, psychological, and sociological. Novel Jokowi Si Tukang Kayu also contained 18 values of character education, that are religious, honest, tolerance, discipline, hardwork, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, spirit of nationality, love the motherland, appreciating achievement, friendly/ communicative, love and peace, loving to read, care for the environtment, social care, and responsibility. Novel Jokowi Si Tukang Kayu is relevant to be used as teaching materials of literature appreciation in senior high school at class XII.</em>

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan model pendidikan multikultural di Sekolah Pembauran Medan. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Sekolah Pembauran Medan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, sedang kredibilitas data diperoleh lewat triangulasi metode. Instrumen penelitian adalah peneliti sendiri dengan menggunakan bantuan pedoman observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik analisis interaktif versi Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan di Sekolah Pembauran Medan merupakan nama yang digunakan untuk menyebut sekolah di bawah Yayasan Perguruan Sultan Iskandar Muda menggunakan Whole School Approach yang meliputi visi dan kebijakan sekolah, kepemimpinan dan manajemen, kapasitas dan kultur, aktivitas peserta didik, kolaborasi dengan masyarakat luas, serta kurikulum dan pengajaran. Kata Kunci: Sekolah Pembauran, pendidikan multikultural, whole school approach AMULTICULTURAL EDUCATION MODEL IN SEKOLAH PEMBAURAN MEDAN Abstract: This study was aimed to describe a model of the multicultural education implemented in Sekolah Pembauran Medan, North Sumatra. This study employed the qualitative approach using the case study approach. The study was conducted in Sekolah Pembauran Medan. The data collection techniques consisted of observations, interviews and documentation. The main research instrument was the researchers themselves supported by observation sheets and interview guidelines. The data analysis was performed using the interactive analysis developed by Miles and Huberman. The research findings showed that Sekolah Pembauran Medan is the name used to refer to the school under the Education Foundation of Sultan Iskandar Muda using the Whole School Approach which includes: the vision and policies of the school; leadership and management; capacity and culture; activities of learners; collaboration with wider communities; and curriculum and instruction. This study aimed to analyze the problematics of teaching Arabic students in Islamic Senior High School. The method in this research was qualitative with a case study approach. This research was conducted at Islamic Senior High School Raudlatul Hidayah Ma'arif Nahdlatul Ulama 03 Mengandungsari. Research samples were 30 students of grade XI. Data collection methods in this study were observation and interviews. Data analysis techniques used descriptive qualitative analysis. The results showed that teaching Arabic in Islamic Senior High School included two main problems: linguistic and nonlinguistic problems. Linguistic problems were problems experienced by students during the learning process, and these problems were still related to parts of the language component. Linguistic problems included three main issues that became problematic in Arabic teaching, and they were phoneme problems (ashwat), vocabulary problems (mufrodat), and grammatical problems (qowaid/ nahwu/ tarkib). At the same time, nonlinguistic problems were problems which were not part of the language element. Such as teacher taught students, lack of motivation towards students, learning media, facilities and infrastructure that were still inadequate during the Arabic learning process.

The education that integrates nationalistic and religious values expected to transform the student to be good citizens and God’ obedient servants. This research aims to explore two purposes: first, what is the purpose based on the integration of nationalistic and religious in learning in Integrated Islamic School; second, how is the teacher’s strategy in Integrated Islamic School in integrating nationalistic and religious in learning conducted. This research is qualitative research with case study approach. The data was taken from the interview of seven teachers in Integrated Islamic School of Yogyakarta Region from primary school to secondary school and documentation. The data collected was analyzed by interactively inductive data analysis technique of Miles and Huberman model consisting of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion withdrawal. The finding of this research showed that; first, the integration of nationalistic and religious values was conducted based on the ideal Indonesian human concept that is the obedient human of Indonesian towards the state in which the main indicator is nationalism also the obedient human of Indonesian towards God in which the main indicator is religious soul. Second, the integration of nationalistic and religious values conducted through three main strategies, namely; integration in curriculum, co-curriculum, and extraculliculer; internalization of nationalistic and religious values; and habitual activity of nationalistic and religious values in the school culture. The finding of this research can be used as reference for teachers in implementing the strategy in integrating nationalistic and religious values to students.

This study aims to describe Good Governance in the Management of Village Revenue and Expenditure Budget in Tempeh Kidul Village, Tempeh District, Lumajang Regency. The object of this research is the Implementation of Good Governance in the Management of Village Revenue and Expenditure Budget in Tempeh Kidul village, Tempeh sub-district, Lumajang district. In this study, the authors used a type of qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection techniques used were interviews, documentation observation. The data analysis technique used is an interactive analysis model that includes four components, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results showed that 1) APB Planning in Tempeh Kidul Village in planning village financial management was quite good. 2) The overall implementation of the financial activities in the village of Tempeh Kidul is well implemented. 3) The implementation of the principles of Good Governance in the management of the APB in the Tempeh Kidul Village has been carried out quite well by the village government.

Abstract: The purposes of this study are to find out: (1) the implementation of Radin Inten II’s resistance nationalism values in the learning process; (2) the obstacles experienced by teachers when implementing Radin Inten II’s resistance nationalism values in the learning process; (3) the efforts made by teachers in overcoming obstacles during the implementation of Radin Inten II’s nationalism values in the learning process. This study used qualitative approach with the type of case study conducted at SMAN 1 Kalianda. Data collection techniques consisted of observation, interviews, and documentary studies. Data analysis techniques used the model of Miles & Huberman consisting of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results show: (1) the implementation of Radin Inten II’s nationalism resistance values in the process of learning local history was carried out by compiling a syllabus and implementing learning plan (RPP) by incorporating local history into Indonesian historical material which was consisted of planning, implementation, and evaluation, (2) the obstacles experienced by teachers included: the ability of teachers during learning process, students’ attitudes, and time constraints, (3) the efforts made by the teacher were taking the initiative to instill the values of nationalism in the resistance of Radin Inten II’s, applying various models, strategies, methods and singing a national song before learning. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) implementasi nilai-nilai nasionalisme perlawanan Radin Inten II dalam proses pembelajaran, (2) kendala yang dialami oleh guru saat implementasi nilai-nilai nasionalisme perlawanan Radin Inten II dalam proses pembelajaran, (3) upaya yang dilakukan guru dalam mengatasi kendala yang dihadapi saat implementasi nilai-nilai nasionalisme perlawanan Radin Inten II dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus di SMAN 1 Kalianda. Teknik pengumpulan data terdiri dari observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles & Huberman yang terdiri dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) implementasi nilai-nilai nasionalisme perlawanan Radin Inten II dalam proses pembelajaran sejarah lokal dilakukan dengan menyusun silabus dan rencana pelaksana pembelajaran (RPP) dengan memasukkan sejarah lokal kedalam materi sejarah Indonesia yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi, (2) kendala yang dialami oleh guru diantaranya: kemampuan guru dalam proses pembelajaran, sikap siswa, dan adanya keterbatasan waktu, (3) upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru yaitu berinisiatif menanamkan nilai-nilai nasionalisme dalam perlawanan Radin Inten II, menerapkan berbagai model, strategi, metode dan menyanyikan lagu nasional sebelum pembelajaran.
