The objectives of this study are: (1) to find out the implementation of character education, (2) to find out the implementation of Piil Pesenggiri local wisdom values ​​as character education in Indonesian history learning, (3) to find out the obstacles in the implementation of Piil Pesenggiri local wisdom values as character education in Indonesian history learning. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method with a case study approach in State Senior High School 2 Kalianda. The results showed that: (1) the implementation of character education in State Senior High School 2 Kalianda was generally applied to all subjects, including Indonesian history subjects, (2) the implementation of Piil Pesenggiri local wisdom values ​​as character education in the process of Indonesian history learning was carried out by compiling a syllabus and lesson plan (RPP) by incorporating into Indonesian historical material about the Lampung people's resistance strategy toward European colonization consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation, (3) the constraints experienced by teachers in implementing Piil Pesenggiri local wisdom values as character education in the process of learning history includes the lack of learning resources and the negative influence of the globalization era.

The purpose of study is to discover the character education values that are integrated in lesson plan, implemented in the classroom setting, and classroom academic rules. This is a case study research that focused on describing the integration of character education program in the Model Islamic senior high school of Makassar, Indonesia. Fifty lesson plans were collected, twenty six informants were observed, and five informants were interviewed to have data on character education values that work. The data were analyzed using qualitative approach; data reduction, data display, conclusion, and verification. The result showed that (1) there are eighteen character education values written in the lesson plan; religious, honest, tolerant, discipline, hard working, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, the spirit of nationalism, love to motherland, appreciation of achievement, friendly, peaceful, love to read, environmental and social care, responsibility, (2) the values that work in the classroom are religious, trustworthy, respectfulness, diligent, fair, care, integrity, responsible, honest, love to motherland, courage, and (3) the values that work in the academic rules are disciplines, care, tolerant, friendly, responsible.

Abstract           This research is aimed to: (1) identify character values which are actualized in history learning, (2) analyse the form of character values actualization which are actualized in history learning. This research is descriptive qualitative research with case study approach. Research sample is conducted using Purposive. Data analysis technique uses interactive analysis technique from Miles and Huberman which consist of data collection, data presentation and conclusion. The research findings show: (1) the values actualized in history learning are honesty, responsibility, love homeland, religious, discipline, curiosity, mutual respect, politeness, (2) the form of characteristic values actualization are statement admitting mistakes, congregation Zuhur pray, reciting Al-Quran, singing national anthem and hero songs before starting the lesson, attempting to get knowledge by asking. Keyword: actualization, character values, history learning, senior high school

The purpose of this research is (1) analyze student’s concept in answering the association test, (2) analyze the concept of understanding  relationship  to  answer  the test depends on the student’s school origin.The method used in this research is qualitative with case study approach. In clustering sampling technique the subject was used in this research is 6 students, shared  in  3  groups.  They  are  2  students come from public vocational school, 2 students come from public senior high school and 2 students come from private senior high school and vocational school. Data was collected through test and interview.   Data   analysis   used   in   this research refers to Milles and Huberman in Moellong’s book; they are data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. The result showed that the student’s understanding is various enough in answering the  set  test.  Depending on  the first subject analysis (S1) who came from private school, he did not understand about the concept of set. The second subject analysis (S2) and the third subject analysis (S3)  who  came  from  public  school,  they had understood. But, they need to be careful and patient to avoid the mistakes. The data which  had  gained from deeply interview, showed that the subject analysis (S1), (S2) and (S3) were able to indicate the relationship of school origin with the student’s concept of understanding within answering the set test.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi pendidikan karakter demokratis pada siswa di SMAN 1 Kesamben Kabupaten Jombang melalui pembelajaran PPKn. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Observasi digunakan oleh peneliti untuk memperoleh data saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Wawancara digunakan oleh peneliti untuk memperoleh data dari guru dan siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Kesamben Kabupaten Jombang. Data dokumentasi yang diperoleh peneliti berupa perangkat pembelajaran yang dimiliki guru yaitu RPP. Keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui triangulasi teknik (observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi) dan pencocokan data dengan teori. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa nilai karakter demokratis di masukkan guru melalui mata pelajaran PPKn dengan menggunakan metode diskusi. Sedangkan evaluasi dari penanaman karakter demokratis dilakukan dengan evaluasi tertulis dan tidak tertulis untuk melihat moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action.Kata Kunci: pendidikan karakter demokratis, pembelajaran PPKn THE IMPLEMENTATION OF DEMOCRATIC CHARACTER EDUCATION THROUGH PANCASILA AND CIVIC IN GRADE XIIAbstractThis research was aimed to explain the implementation of a democratic character education through Pancasila and civics in grade XII students of senior high school. Interview was used to obtain data from the teacher and students in Senior High School in Kesamben Jombang Regency. The document used as information research way a set of lesson plan. Data validity of this research was obtained through triangulations technique (observation, interview, and documentation) and data theory verification. Data analyses used were data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. This research showed that the implementation of a democratic character education through the Pancasila and civics in grade XII students of senior high school could be applied well using a discussion learning method. The evaluation for character democratic used written evaluation and non test evaluation for know a moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action.Keywords: democratic character education, Pancasila and civic learning

Character education is the focus of Indonesian education nowadays as people in Indonesia is experiencing a negative character shifting. In order to change negative character, character education should be taught to the young generation through the integration of the character education at school. This study aims to determine the ways of integrating the value of character education in the lesson plan and the process of Indonesian language learning in the high school. This study employed a case study method by implementing a qualitative approach. This research was carried out in State Senior High School (SMAN) 1 Surakarta, Indonesia. The technique of data collection comprised of observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of this study shows that SMAN 1 Surakarta infuses character education in Indonesian language learning. The character values, which are integrated to the lesson plan, are respect, discipline, care, courage, responsibility, justice, honesty, helping each other, and cooperation. In the learning process, the character values that are infused to the lesson plan had been successfully integrated except for three values, namely justice, helping each other, and cooperation. Those three values should be integrated during group discussion activities, unfortunately, group discussion activities were not carried out.

<em>Learning must be a vehicle for the holistic growth and development of students' potentials through their active role towards a better chance. One of the subjects that have content of character education is History education. These characters will shape motivation with dignified methods and processes. It turns out that these character values are embodied in the philosophy of life of the people of Lampung. How is the analysis of the philosophy of life of the people of Lampung as enrichment in character education in history subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Kibang? The purpose of this study was to determine the analysis of the philosophy of life of the people of Lampung as enrichment in character education in history subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Kibang for the academic year 2020/2021. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods with a case study approach. In teaching and learning activities there is an interaction between students regarding the subject matter. After the lesson is completed, the objectives of the analysis of Lampung's philosophical values will be achieved as an enrichment of character education, namely the inculcation of Lampung philosophical values such as Piil pesenggiri, meeting nyimah, nengah nyapur, sakai sambayan, and bejuluk adek. In history lessons, there are also aspects of character that are dominant in history learning, even though all values can be included in each subject, namely eighteen indicators of character education.</em>

Implementation of environmentally caring education in schools requires teachers to develop learning tools that can lead learners to achieve the expected growth of character. The purpose of this research to produce learning devices of environmental education (PLH) that can grow this characters in high school students in Solok Selatan Regency. Development method using the 4-D model which consists of four stages of defining, design, development and disseminate. Learning tools developed in the form of the syllabus, Lesson Plan, and students worksheet. The result of document analysis of learning devices shows that during this implementation of environmental character education through PLH at senior high school in Solok Selatan Regency has not been done properly. It is necessary to develop effective learning tools effectively to build the environmental caring character of learners. As a proven from the analysis of the validity of learning devices showed in a very good category, the device practicability by the teacher was very good and by the students of the good category. Effectiveness device seen from the learning of cognitive domain and effective were also in the good category. The character formed through the development of learning tools PLH classified into 2, namely individual characters, among others: religious, disciplined, creative, independent. Then the second was the social character, among others: environmental care, social care, responsibility. The study of learning device development only up to stage three development of four stages of development of the 4-D model. It would be better if the development model was done until the disseminate stage so that learning devices can be developed on a wider scale.

This study aimed to analyze the problematics of teaching Arabic students in Islamic Senior High School. The method in this research was qualitative with a case study approach. This research was conducted at Islamic Senior High School Raudlatul Hidayah Ma'arif Nahdlatul Ulama 03 Mengandungsari. Research samples were 30 students of grade XI. Data collection methods in this study were observation and interviews. Data analysis techniques used descriptive qualitative analysis. The results showed that teaching Arabic in Islamic Senior High School included two main problems: linguistic and nonlinguistic problems. Linguistic problems were problems experienced by students during the learning process, and these problems were still related to parts of the language component. Linguistic problems included three main issues that became problematic in Arabic teaching, and they were phoneme problems (ashwat), vocabulary problems (mufrodat), and grammatical problems (qowaid/ nahwu/ tarkib). At the same time, nonlinguistic problems were problems which were not part of the language element. Such as teacher taught students, lack of motivation towards students, learning media, facilities and infrastructure that were still inadequate during the Arabic learning process.

The purpose of this study is to determine the role of teachers in building the character of students through history learning in class X SMK Husada Prima Samarinda and to determine the obstacles they faced. The type of research used in this study was qualitative research that focused on the cultivation of character education through learning history and the obstacles that occurred. Data collection techniques used in this study were by observing the learning process between teachers and students, interview by interviewing five respondents, questionnaire by distributing questionnaires to students and documentation techniques by collecting school photos, took note of the learning processes and learning tools. In the analysis of data, the researchers carried out data collection, data reduction, then concluded. The data validity checking technique applied methods and source triangulation. Based on the results of the study, the teacher's role in building students' character through history learning in class X SMK Husada Prima Samarinda was not fully implemented due to the lack of conveying character values through history learning. The teachers were lack of planning to put character education in their lesson plan, whereas the implementation of said character values is lacking due to the lack of support from facilities and infrastructure. However, the teachers still delivered the motivation aspects and on evaluation attitudes were assessed based on facts. Obstacles faced by teachers and students were curriculum changes making annual, semester programs, lack of facilities and infrastructure.

This research observed and analyzed the implementation of character education in English classrooms. It sought to find out how English teachers develop and select materials and strategies for implementing character education in their classroom, how the English teachers implement and integrate character education in their classroom, and what factors the teachers found to be the inhibiting and supporting system for implementing character education in their school. Three teachers from three schools – a public vocational school, a public senior high school, and a religious-based public high school – participated in this research as the respondents. The purpose of involving three different type of schools was that this research needed to observe the implementation of character education in three different settings. By implementing multiple case study, this research gathered data through interview and observation. This research found that teachers in the two schools – vocational and senior high school – begun the implementation of character education by developing a plan consisted of what character they need to develop and what materials that triggered students’ interest. Moreover, this research also found that the two schools share similar strategies in implementing character education as follows: using authentic materials, verbal instructions, and cultural approach. Meanwhile, in the religious-based senior high school, the teacher did not specifically develop and select materials intended to implement character education since the school had already subjects and extracurricular programs in religion teaching and intended to develop students’ character. Lastly, this research found that the three schools share similar supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing character education namely lack of good examples in school, family, and community, lack of partnership between school, parents, and community member, and lack of commitment among the school community members to support the character education in school. And the supporting system they had were that the schools had already developed code of conducts, rules, and extracurricular programs intended to develop students’ character.
