Background The combination of the internet and healthcare has excellent benefits and far-reaching positive effects in improving service efficiency and promoting social equity. The role of the “internet plus healthcare” (IPHC) has been recognized, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. This new healthcare model is also familiar to people and shows a bright prospect. Objective This article seeks to accurately understand and fully grasp the characteristics of IPHC policies that can enlighten the formulation of future policies. Methods The content analysis method was used to analyze China’s IPHC policies collected from the Beida Fabao database and several official websites. Results We found that the development of IPHC policy has gone through 4 stages and is currently entering a phase of rapid development. IPHC policymakers are primarily health administrative departments. In addition, policy instruments are classified into either supply, environment, or demand, and policy themes can be summarized into 4 categories: facilities, technology, service, and management. Conclusions China’s IPHC policy has good prospects from the perspective of development trends. The health administrative departments mainly lead the development of China’s IPHC policy. It is suggested that these departments involve other stakeholders (ie, medical workers, medical industries, and technology sectors) in formulating policies. Policies prefer to use supply-based and environment-based policy instruments. The policy themes emphasize improving infrastructure construction and high-quality diagnostic and treatment services, strengthening the supporting role of information technology, and ensuring all stakeholders understand their responsibilities.

This article reviews how protest events in China take forms that are notably distinct from those of the Marxist-Leninist regimes of the twentieth century. It chronicles the upward trajectory of protests in China, remarkable because the trend occurs in a governance structure that seeks to limit independent civil society and the collective expression of grievances. We review several dimensions in which claims and grievances cluster, most of which can be attributed to China’s rapid development, and which potentially could develop into large and coordinated protest campaigns. As part of the party’s concern with maintenance of social harmony, we trace the development of China’s unique repertoire of repression, most notably the various dimensions of the techno-security state, its control of the internet, and development of high-tech surveillance and social control. We close with speculations about the future of social movements in China and the role of its young generation. Today’s young generation is mostly politically quiescent, taking advantage of unprecedented prosperity and opportunities, but it is also potentially “triggered” by examples of numerous protests and potentially empowered by social media.

Among the most common diseases of humanity in patients of the older age group, there is an articular pathology with degenerative changes in the hyaline cartilage, which significantly limits the functional activity of the locomotor apparatus. The rapid development of experimental scientific research in recent decades has made it possible to revise the concept of the pathogenesis of this process with confirmation of the leading role of inflammation in the development of functional and structural damage in this disease. These new data supported the change in the name of the disease from “osteoarthros” to “osteoarthritis” and justified the positive effects of individual drugs. The proposed lecture material discloses the topic of the modern understanding of the pathogenesis of osteoarthritis and the additional benefits of using drugs from the diacerein group due to their anti‑inflammatory and chondroprotective effect.

The integration of navigation systems and smart tour guide apps has gained popularity among travellers with the rapid development of the internet, mobile technology, and the wide acceptance of smartphones. The purpose of the study is twofold: (1) to assess the growth of smart tour guide apps in India and (2) to examine the tourists' experiences in using smart tour guide apps. To achieve the purpose of the study, a content analysis method was employed to analyse the users' reviews on the “Audio Odigos” and the “Trip My Way,” which are very popular tour guide apps in India. The results reveal that smart tour guide apps are more preferred than the human tour guide. An app-based tour guide facilitates exceptional experiences for accurate and useful information on historical monument tours, city tours, and destination tours. Thus, the findings can be used to improve the existing apps and develop more sophisticated apps in the future that can ensure sustainable smart tourism.

Abstract:The rapid development of the Internet and the increasing interest in Internet-based solutions has promoted the idea of creating Internet-based health information applications. This will force a change in the role of IC cards in healthcare card systems from a data carrier to an access key medium. At the Medical Informatics Department of Kyoto University Hospital we are developing a smart card patient information project where patient databases are accessed via the Internet. Strong end-to-end data encryption is performed via Secure Socket Layers, transparent to transmit patient information. The smart card is playing the crucial role of access key to the database: user authentication is performed internally without ever revealing the actual key. For easy acceptance by healthcare professionals, the user interface is integrated as a plug-in for two familiar Web browsers, Netscape Navigator and MS Internet Explorer.

This chapter covers the multidisciplinary literature on the protection of personal information in the online world, which extends back to the origins of social research on computing, and addresses the link between key structures of the Internet and the literatures on privacy and surveillance. Then, it turns to the literature on the role of international, legal, self-regulatory, and technological policy instruments in protecting personal information online. The nature of the Internet is entirely consistent with the metaphor of the ‘surveillant assemblage’. The Internet has become a fundamentally ‘surveillance-ready’ technology, and is becoming deeply integrated into the structures of social life. The rise of Internet-enabled surveillance and information control is significant. The story of privacy and surveillance is episodic and reflective of quite frenzied attempts to come to grips with unprecedented technological transformations in the light of the most recent scandal or controversy.
