College students choose a certain locations for reading and the relation between locations and respondents cause the responses to activity. Based on these, this study aimed to find the relation between the chosen reading locations and the students responses when doing reading activity. This study used quantitative research methods and online questionnaire as data collection instruments. To interpret the relations between reading locations and students reading responses, this study used explanatory quantitative research methods. Through open-ended question about the reason for selecting a certain location to read, was found that students reading responses are “Thinking Ability” and “Reading Attachment”. College students choose some certain reading locations, but the majority of students tend to choose rooms and libraries. The results showed three reading clusters. The evidence suggests that about 90% of all startups fail; so to what extend does innovation enable the startups to survive? This paper investigates key variables that drive startups’ innovativeness, and analyzes how important they are in creating new products and patents consequently impacting the start-up’s performance (success). The paper uses the database of ZEW with more than 60.000 observations about the startups through 7 years (2007-2016). The study puts forward a conceptual model that is tested using quantitative research methods. It concludes that there are evidences to support some of the seven hypotheses tested. The results show that innovation has an effect on a start-ups’ performance, and that variables such as investment, industry, start-up size, founder’s highest qualification, and graduated employees all have an effect on boosting the chances of having more innovativeness in the start-ups, thus resulting in a rise in performance. On the other hand, the evidence did not show a significant effect of the startup centers (accelerators, incubators) and their services vis-à-vis startups’ performance; however, startups centers had a significant effect on startups’ innovativeness.

Motivation is a conscious effort, which comes from within and outside of a person. Motivation is affecting a person's behavior so that he moved his heart to act to do something to achieve a certain result or goal. The call to be a catechist must be well motivated and not just looking for a position. This motivation is also needed by students of STKIP Widya Yuwana, as a potential catechist. The issues that arise are: whether the students of STKIP Widya Yuwana have pure motivation from inside themself as catechist? Are their motivations fixed or changed? Do they have the motivation to serve? How far the initial motivation to enter college to give influence for students of STKIP Widya Yuwana? How does motivation have an impact on pastoral care, which is the duty and responsibility of students of STKIP Widya Yuwana, as a potential catechist?Based on the problem, the purpose of this research is to see how far the influence of early motivation for college students of STKIP Widya Yuwana to the spirit of service in the environment.Through questionnaires to 48 respondents using quantitative research methods, it was found that most of the students admitted that there was an influence between the initial motivation to enter the lecture toward the pastoral practice in the environment, but the initial motivation of the students as candidates for catechism and/religious teachers needs to be refined so that students seriously answer the call of his life as a catechist candidate, not just to pursue offers that offer a position or salary alone. Thus, the coaching of these students needs to get the attention of many parties.
