Urban Public Transportation has important existence to make good urban transportation. To realize it, the objective of this research is to improve Trans Jogja service as Yogyakarta Urban Agglomeration Transportation that appropriate for student needs. The plan that will be formulated in this research is focused on route and bus stop distribution in educational facility that covering high schools and universities located in Yogyakarta Agglomeration Area. Route plan formulation is done with manual assignment method through total road network trip assignment based on origin destination matrix of school trip. Then, to formulate bus stop plan is done with spatial analytical method that covering bus stop accessibility to schools and universities through 2 scenarios, the first scenario is about 200-meters radius of accessibility and second scenario is 500-meters radius of accessibility. The result is there will be 31 new routes of Yogyakarta Urban Agglomeration Transportation that will reach the whole sub-district in Yogyakarta Agglomeration Area include Godean and Ngemplak Sub-District that previously are not served by Trans Jogja. That new routes are consist of 3 outer city routes (OCR), 23 inner city routes (ICR) and 5 connecting routes that connecting sub-urban and urban area. Then, the bus stop is planned along new route plan and focused on residential land use in sub-urban area, high schools, and universities. On the first scenario with radius of 200-meter, there is 99 units of additional bus stop plan, while on the second scenario with radius of 500 meters is 66 units. Thus, second scenario is assumed better than the first scenario because of more schools and universities are served by Trans Jogja.

The purpose of this study was investigated the relationship between information education of energy attitude and energy instructional strategy of science and technology teacher in junior high schools in Taiwan. With the questionnaires and statistic analysis of 618 teachers, we found the energy attitude of teachers is positive and they made good use of energy instructional strategies. The energy safe attitude of teachers whose age are 41-50 years old were better than those below 28 years old and 29-33. The energy safe attitude of teachers who worked for 16-25 years were better than those below 5 years and 6-15 years. And the saving energy attitude of teachers who taught in school above 49 classes were better than those below 12 classes. At the same time we found the infusing question strategy and cognitive-oriented strategy of teachers whose age were 41-50 years old made better use of than those age were 29-33 years old. The energy attitude could forecast the using situation of energy instructional strategy especially in infusing question strategy, cognitive-oriented strategy and total energy instructional strategies.

Public transportation smart card system in China has been widely used in many cities recently. Large amounts of information implicit in the smart card, but it is not completely applied, because the information is incomplete, such as the information of getting-off bus stop. For this problem, a method is proposed to calculate OD (Origin-Destination) of smart card data. And it is well applied in digging the information of getting-off bus stop.

Abstract Importance The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in more than 3.5 million cases and 245 thousand deaths worldwide as of May 6, 2020. Determining the extent of the presence of the virus on public surfaces is critical for understanding the potential risk of infection in these areas. Objective To evaluate the presence of SARS-CoV-2 RNA on public surfaces in a densely populated urban area in Brazil. Design and Setting A total of 101 samples were collected from different surfaces in public places in the region of Belo Horizonte with the highest number of COVID-19 cases. Samples were collected near the hospital and public transportation areas using sterile swabs, and then submitted to nucleic acid extraction and genomic detection and quantification by one-step qPCR. Results Seventeen of the 101 samples tested positive (16.8%) for SARS-CoV-2 RNA, including samples from bus stations/terminals, public squares, and sidewalks, including those near hospitals. Conclusions and Relevance Our data indicated the contamination of public surfaces by SARS-CoV-2, especially near hospital areas, highlighting the risk of infection for the population. Constant monitoring of the virus in urban areas is required as a strategy to fight the pandemic and prevent further infections. Key points Question Can SARS-CoV-2 be detected on surfaces in public areas used by a large proportion of the population? Findings SARS-CoV-2 RNA was detected in different locations, including bus stations/terminals, squares, and sidewalks, especially those near hospitals, in a densely populated area of Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Meaning This study highlights the need for constant monitoring for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 RNA in urban areas to support better strategies to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and prevent further infections.

Abstract The Erňa cave, a mass winter hibernaculum and important swarming site of the common pipistrelle, Pipistrellus pipistrellus, is located in the Slovak Karst, near the Košice urban agglomeration in eastern Slovakia. Over the past two decades, the unusual behaviour of late summer or autumn accidental but abundant occurrences of this species have been observed in buildings (so-called invasions) in Košice. It has been hypothesised that these events are related to bats swarming and hibernating in the Erňa cave; however, causality has not been confirmed. We measured the relative activity of bats from the end of the breeding season through the invasions and autumn swarming prior to the onset of hibernation by recording their echolocation calls on car-based transects in order to find any spatial and temporal linkage between activity in the urban area and the swarming site. Over two years we recorded 6,253 sequences with echolocation calls of P. pipistrellus and 5,239 records of other bats along four transects totalling 7,121 km in length. Spatial pattern analysis found that the city agglomeration presented a local hotspot of the species’ activity, especially during the invasion season. Multivariate generalised additive modelling confirmed an increased density of records of P. pipistrellus between the urban area and the hibernaculum in the pre-hibernation season, whereas this pattern was not found to be consistent on the control transects near the city. Contrary to that, other bat species showed little variation in their activity between transects and seasons. The obtained results suggest that the relatively short geographical distance between the urban agglomeration and the large swarming site is likely a clue to the frequent city invasions of the species, although the role of the city as a hibernation area cannot be completely omitted.

As we know, there are a lot of public transportation users, especially buses, which are often used in almost all cities around the world. What is our focus this time is bus stops, many of which are abused from their initial function as a place to pick up and drop off passengers, and are very unfit for use. Therefore, a 4D animation information media for public transportation stops was created. This is done to show the public about the convenience of public transportation stops. This utilization also aims to make the bus stop facilities even better and more comfortable according to the needs of prospective passengers. The concept used in this design is "Livability", a word that refers to a good environment for a community to live in. The design results presented in the interior of this waiting facility are to make public transportation users feel safe and comfortable so that people can interact well with each other while waiting for public transportation.Keywords:Animation 4D, Animation 3D, Public Transport.

Abstract. Located in the mountainous area of southwest China, the Chengdu-Chongqing Urban Agglomeration (CCUA) was rapidly urbanized in the last four decades, has led to a three-fold urban area expansion, thereby affecting the weather and climate. To investigate the urbanization effects on the thermal environment in the CCUA under the complex terrain, we conducted the simulations using the advanced Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF V4.1.5) model together with the combining land-use scenarios and terrain conditions. We observed that the WRF model reproduces the general synoptic summer weather pattern, particularly for the thermal environment. It was shown that the expansion of the urban area changed the underlying surface's thermal properties, leading to the urban heat island effect, enhanced by the complex terrain further. The simulation with the future scenario shows that the implementation of idealized measures including returning farmland to forests, expanding rivers and lakes can reduce the urban heat island effect and regulate the urban ecosystem. Therefore, the urban planning policy can has potential to provide feasible suggestions to best manage the thermal environment of the future city toward improving the livelihood of the people in the environment.

Approximately 50% of Indonesia's population lives in cities. One of these towns is a metropolitan city of Jakarta, an area that has a population of over 14.1 million people. New residential areas are springing up in the suburbs of Jakarta due to the urban sprawl that is increasingly out of control. Thus the activities of traveling from home to work will be a major requirement, and this activity has given rise to problems such as traffic jam. In this study, the research conducted on the data of public transportation in Jakarta, which is followed by a literature review, from books, the internet and the results of a survey involving 130 respondents about the use of public and private transport in Jakarta. In addition to the survey, also conducted a comparative study to look directly into the field one factor supporting public transport, the MRT station in Singapore and TransJakarta bus stop on Jalan Sudirman, and do a comparison analysis. The purpose of this paper is to come up with new solutions in public transport facilities presenting a friendly and optimized for all the people of Jakarta. The method used was to collect data through surveys and literature studies.

Public transportation in cities is crucial for their sustainable development. The attractiveness of public transport for city residents depends largely on whether they are able to access the nearest stop on foot. The actual time of walking to the nearest stop and the distance covered can be measured using the band method or the circular buffer method. The accuracy of the two methods was compared for the city of Szczecin and one of its residential areas, Pomorzany (ca. 20,000 inhabitants, ca. 7 km2 area). The city provides public tram and bus transportation and has 90 km of streets and pedestrian paths. As shown by the results, the band method proved more accurate in measuring public transport stop accessibility. It showed 53.8% of the stops to be highly accessible, whereas 37.8%, 7.8%, and 0.5% were classified as moderately accessible, poorly accessible, and inaccessible, respectively; the latter would be hardly expected to be used by pedestrians in the Pomorzany neighborhood. The band method allowed also to indicate potential location of a new bus stop which would significantly improve accessibility of public transportation to residents of a housing estate (3000 inhabitants) in the area.

Optimizing the public transport and synergizing the land use can reduce the impact of urban development by attracting the development around the transit station. This situation encourages the accessibility of public transportation by creating conditions between passenger expectations realted to the concept Transit Oriented Development (TOD) between land use, mobility, and environment. This study was conducted by TOD with the area located in the center of local wisdom by cultural city, Yogyakarta Railway Station. The purpose of this study is to provide an alternative location where bus stops or Trans Jogja shelters are more easily accessible by users of rail services and facilitate the model’s transfer. The method of this research is descriptive quantitative. It explains the trans it function, needs and condition of Trans Jogja as the existing public transport and the accessibility of the bus stops. The conclusion is the recommendation for the bus stop location can be relocate near the dropout East and South area of the Railway Station
