Background: The learning achievement of students in higher education is reflected in their grade point average (GPA). Selection types in student admission, learning motivation, and learning strategies are believed to influence the effective and efficient learning achievement, thus facilitating achieving the desired learning objectives. Medical students should have good behavior and learning styles that eventually can help to make lifelong learning. Students that can organize themselves to learning tend to use a good strategy in running the study. Learning motivation and learning strategies used by the learner will affect student results. This study aimed to compare the 3 types of selection in student admission to learning motivation, learning strategies and achievement of students of the Faculty of Medicine.Method: This was a quantitative study using a cross sectional design. The subjects were preclinical students at the Faculty of Medicine of Halu Oleo University, Kendari, consisting of 161 first-year students, 137 second year students, and 148 third year students. This study used a questionnaire ‘Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ)’ to measure learning motivation and learning strategies. The results of MSLQ and GPA were compared based on the type of student selection.Results: Within all categories of learning achievement, the highest scores were achieved by the students from selection of SBMPTN, followed by SNMPTN, then SLMPTN. Mean of extrinsic goal orientation of students with all types of student selection was high, whereas the lowest mean was learning self-confidence. Learning strategy with high score was repetition, and the lowest score was critical thinking in students with all types of student’s selection. There was a positive relationship between admission style, learning motivation, learning strategies and achievement of students.Conclusion: Students that were selected by SBMPTN have highest score of learning achievement, and the lowest score were students from SLMPTN. There was no significant different of motivation and learning strategy between all type of student selection.

Background: Education providers in many ways short of expectations. Education strategy is essential in teaching and learning activities. Student who has motivation and learning strategies tends to devote all their ability to get the optimal learning results according to the expected goals. Understanding student motivation and learning strategies will help institution to facilitate students for their study success. This study aimed of determine differences in student motivation and learning strategies at Faculty of Dentistry, University of Hasanuddin among students with collaborative learning and problem-based learning educational strategies.Method: This was quantitative research with observational analytic cross-sectional study design. The subjects were all students of class 2007 and 2008 data were collected using Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ). Descriptive analysis and Mann-Whitney test were used to analysis the data.Results: The subjects consisted of 84 students of class 2007 and 79 students of class 2008. The mean score of learning motivation and learning strategy were higher among students with PBL than students with collaborative learning. There we are significant differences in learning strategies with different education strategies except in organization (p=0,369) and anxiety (p=0.058).Conclusion: There are differences in the learning motivation and learning strategies in students with collaborative learning and problem based learning education strategies, except in organization and anxiety component. Learning motivation and learning strategies in problem based learning students are higher than collaborative learning students.

<p>Learning motivation and learning strategies are the important factors that affect English learning, which has an important impact on the students' learning English. In the 1970s, Chinese scholars mainly studied the transfer to students' autonomous learning, which resulted in individual differences of learners, such as age, gender, motivation, strategy, <em>etc</em>. However, learning motivation and strategy are the most important issues, which need our research. Based on the real data, this paper makes SPSS software statistics, which can analyze the correlation between learning motivation and learning strategy. Through the study of English learning motivation and Strategies of vocational college students, vocational college can better improve the quality of English teaching.</p>

Background: The results of interviews of 15 students who have low motivation are because students who are too active in organizations will generally be distracted by organizational activities such as meetings and activities outside of lectures, especially for students who have not been able to manage the time between lectures and the organization so that the consequence is that students One of the reasons for low motivation and learning achievement is that the academic score is not enough, even if it is not passed on time Learning achievement can be influenced by motivation, among others, starting from the stimulus process (stimulation) given to students can be accepted or rejected. If the stimulus is not accepted, it means that the stimulus cannot influence learning achievement. However, if students receive the stimulus well, then there is attention from the student, and the stimulus effectively affects learning achievement. If the stimulus is accepted, students understand this stimulus and proceed to the next process. After that, students process the stimulus so that there is a willingness to learn for the stimulus's sake. Finally, with the support of facilities and encouragement from the environment, the stimulus affects action or changes in student motivation to be more active in learning.Objective: To explore the relationship between learning motivation and learning achievement in students who organize at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Muhammadiyah Surabaya (UMSurabaya) the academic year 2014-2015.Methods: Cross-sectional approach to correlational analytic research.Results: The research results of 65 students organized at FIK UMSurabaya academic year 2014-2015 found the right learning motivation, namely as many as 33 (51%). The research results of 65 students organized at FIK UMSurabaya academic year 2014-2015 found outstanding learning achievement, namely 37 (58%).Conclusion: There is a relationship between learning motivation and student learning achievement in organizations at FIK UMSurabaya academic year 2014-2015.

Arabic learning can take place at various ages of either children, adolescents or adults. Learning Arabic is something needed for especially Muslim because it is important in Muslim life. This paper will explain about the Arabic learning strategy for children. This is important to discuss because children need special strategies in learning for their ages. In collecting information, the writer uses library research method, which is done by comparing several literary sources, especially those that are the main source of discussion to discuss about the existing problems. Then, as the result, language learning is a help to determine how, and how well, learners learn a foreign language. There are many variations on learning strategy. Arabic learning strategies for children include playing, singing, telling stories, projects, demonstration, and conversation. By using the suitable and fun strategy, children can develop their potential well and effectively. The selection of learning strategies depends on children’s ages and characteristics.

The objective of this research was improving learning motivation and learning achievement of XI Accounting 1 Students of SMK Negeri 1 Pengasih Academic Year 2016/2017 using Cooperative Learning Model Team Game Tournament (TGT) on the subject Accounting for Trading Company. This research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) collaborating with teacher in two cycle. Data collection technique used were questionnare, documentation, and test. Based on research result concluded that implementation of Cooperative Learning Model Team Games Tournament (TGT) could improve Learning Motivation and Learning Achievement of XI Accounting 1 student of SMK 1 Pengasih Academic Year 2016/2017  evidenced by improvement of motivation score and achievement score. Motivation questionnare result shown improvement of students’ learning motivation improved to 5.97% from cycle I of 72.41% increased to 78.13% in cycle II. Improvement of Accounting Learning Achievement calculated from the average score increase of 23.78% in first cycle and increased of 19.61% in the second cycle.Keywords: Cooperative Learning, Team Game Tournament, Learning Motivation, Learning Achievement

Learning is an important part in the transformation of knowledge in both formal and non-formal education. As time goes by and the learning process still faces various problems in the field. Among those problems is related to the use of learning strategies by a teacher. The use of learning strategies should be able to increase learning motivation, but there are many uses of learning strategies that can not increase student motivation. From here the researchers tried to implement participatory learning strategies to increase student learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education subjects. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the effectiveness of the implementation of Participatory Learning Learning Strategies in Improving Student Learning Motivation in Islamic Religious Education Subjects in Pontang 1 Junior High School. While the purpose of this study is to describe the Effectiveness of Implementing Participatory Learning Strategies in Improving Student Learning Motivation in Islamic Religious Education Subjects. This research was conducted at Pontang 1 Junior High School. The research approach used in this study uses a qualitative approach while the research method used is a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model, which is an interactive analysis model. The steps of analysis include data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The informants in this study are the principal, teachers of Islamic education subjects and students. In the process of carrying out this research there were 6 stages that were passed. The stages are as follows: 1) The stage of fostering familiarity, 2) The stage of identifying needs, resources, and possible barriers to learning, 3) The stage of formulating learning objectives, 4) The stage of preparing learning activities programs, 5) The stage of implementing learning activities and 6) Stage of assessment of the process and results of learning activities. The results of this study indicate that the application of this learning strategy is less effective for learning Islamic Religious Education subjects. students do not have a high motivation to learn so, in learning many students do not pay attention to the material. So that the application of this learning strategy is less effective students are less interested and less motivated to learn Islamic Religious Education because the material has already been obtained.

The objectives of this tudy are to describe (1) the influence of learning facilities toward the learning achievement of hydrolic system, (2) the influence of practice learning motivation toward the learning achievement of hydrolic system, and (3) the influence of learning facilities and practice learning motivation toward the learning achievement of hydrolic system in the academic year 2013/2014. This study shows that (1) there is a positif and significant learning facilities toward the learning achievement of hydrolic system, (2) there is a positif and significant practice learning motivation toward the learning achievement of hydrolic system, and (3) there is a positif and significant learning facilities and practice learning motivation toward the learning achievement of hydrolic system in the academic year 2013/2014. The practice learning motivation and learning facilities can improve knowledge, desire of the students to develop their knowledge and creativity in learning, so that the result of learning can be improved. The better practice learning motivation and learning facilities, soothe better improvement of learnig achievement of hydrolic system.

The low learning motivation of students in the learning process. The initial motivation of students is 69% (less), namely out of 14 students, only four students meet the indicators of success. It is because teachers still dominate teaching and learning activities so that learning is teacher-centered. In the learning process, some students did not pay attention to the lessons given by the teacher. This study aims to determine the increase in motivation and learning achievement of students through the cooperative model of the Student Teams Achievement Divisions type assisted by audio-visual media. This type of research is classroom action research. The research procedure was carried out in two cycles. The source of the data taken is the entire class V, totaling 14 students. Data collection methods used are documentation, questionnaires, and interviews. The data analysis technique used is quantitative and descriptive qualitative analysis. The results showed an increase in student motivation. Students' learning motivation in the first cycle reached 74% (enough) as many as 8 students had met the success indicators, and in the second cycle, it was 81% (good) as many as 12 students had met the success indicators. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the Student Teams Achievement Divisions type cooperative model can increase students' motivation and learning achievement.
