Nurse have an important good role for safety of patients by monitoring the patients' condition to prevent the occurrence of incidents, provide health education, detect faults and near misses, and perform other tasks to solve a problem of the patients by high-quality care. The problems have been existing in ER related to the implementation of patient safety is that the patient safety has not been accomplished in accordance with the SPO and Patient Safety Guide. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors associated with the performance of nurses in the implementation of patient safety. The research uses analytical descriptive design with cross sectional approach. The number of samples used is 23 respondents with total sampling technique . The calculation results of multiple regression analysis of patient safety knowledge factors have the most dominant influence with standardized ß coefficient of 0.678 and 0.329 meaning that it has a significant effect while the supervision does not. Optimizing the development of the individual nurse requires efforts to increase knowledge and skills in the context of patient safety; therefore, they are able to show high-quality performance.

AbstrakKeselamatan pasien merupakan dasar dari pelayanan kesehatan yang baik. Pengetahuan tenaga kesehatan dalam sasaran keselamatan pasien terdiri dari ketepatan identifikasi pasien, peningkatan komunikasi yang efektif, peningkatan keamanan obat yang perlu diwaspadai, kepastian tepat lokasi, prosedur, dan tepat pasien operasi, pengurangan risiko infeksi, pengurangan risiko pasien jatuh. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan penerapan keselamatan pasien pada petugas kesehatan di Puskesmas Kedaung Wetan Kota Tangerang. Metode Penelitian menggunakan deskriptif korelasi menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi sebanyak 50 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar kuesioner. Teknik analisa diatas menggunakan analisa Univariat dan Bivariat. Hasil Penelitian ada Hubungan Pengetahuan dengan Penerapan Keselamatan Pasien pada Petugas Kesehatan, dengan hasil, p value sebesar 0,013 < 0,05 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada Hubungan Pengetahuan dengan Penerapa Keselamatan Pasien pada Petugas Kesehatan. Kesimpulan penelitian ada Hubungan Pengetahuan dengan Penerapan Keselamatan Pasien.. AbstrackPatient safety is the basis of good health services. Knowledge of health personnel in patient safety targets consists of accurate patient identification, increased effective communication, increased safety of the drug that needs to be watched, certainty in the right location, procedure, and precise patient surgery, reduction in risk of infection, reduction in risk of falling patients. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and the application of patient safety to health workers in the Kedaung Wetan Health Center, Tangerang City. The research method uses descriptive correlation using cross sectional approach. The population is 50 respondents. The sampling technique uses total sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire sheet. The analysis technique above uses Univariate and Bivariate analysis. The results of the study there is a Relationship of Knowledge with the Implementation of Patient Safety in Health Officers, with the result, p value of 0.013 <0.05, it can be concluded that there is a Relationship between Knowledge and Patient Safety Implementation in Health Officers. Patient’s parent is an essential part of holistically care treatment, especially when the patients are still too young to responsible for their own. Nurse have to understand regarding parents need to deliver high quality care for patients and their family. Parents’ needs during accompanying their children could be very specific and unique. The knowledge regarding this issue is crucial to increase the quality of care and prevent parents’ psychological problem. This is a descriptive study with cross sectional approach. Total sample in this study are respondent who are chosen by using consecutive sampling. The NICU Family Needs Inventory (NFNI) was used in this study. This study shows that the parents’ needs during accompanying their children in critical care setting are need for closeness with their children, Certainty regarding patient condition, comfort, information, and the needs of support.

Introduction: Patient safety is an important component of health services quality,and  basic principles of patient care. Nursing students also have a great potential to make an action that could endanger the patient, because hospital is one of student practice area. The purpose of this study was to improve the nursing students competency in patient safety by using knowledge management SECI approached. Method: The study used exploratory survey, and quasy experiment. The samples were some of nursing students of STIKes Muhammadiyah Samarinda who were on internship programme that selected using simple random sampling technique, in total of 54 students. This research’s variables were the knowledge management SECI based-patient safety and nursing student’s competency. The data were collected by using questionnaires and observation. The data were analyze by using Partial Least Square (PLS). Result: The result showed that there were significant influence the implementation of a model patient safety based knowledge management seci on increased competence nursing students. Discussion: Improved student competency in patient safety using SECI knowledge management was carried out in four phases, that is Socialization, Externalization, Combination, and Internalization. The result was a new knowledge related to patient safety that able to improve the student’s competency..Keywords: Patient safety, Knowledge management, SECI, competency

In the patient safety standards / International Patient Safety Goal (IPSG), especially the prevention of the risk of falling must be applied by nurses, age is one of the internal factors that affect compliance. This study aims to determine the correlation between age of nurses with adherence in the implementation of prevention of falling patients in Samarinda Government Hospital using a descriptive correlation design and cross sectional approach. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire and observation sheet with a sample of 51 nurses in the non-intensive inpatient room with a purposive sampling technique. The analysis test in this study uses the Spearman rank test with the results of p value 0.026 (rho = 0.312), so it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the age of nurses with adherence in the implementation of prevention of falling patients.

This study examines to make up this significant gap in the existing literature. Using a cross-sectional sample consisting of 240 nurses in the hospitals of Uzbekistan and a structural model, with a random sampling technique by employing explanatory, and causal design was used to test the developed framework.  Quantitative data was collected using questionnaires, the survey instruments were distributed by hand among the private and public sector, we find that nurses’ perceived safety culture (SC) and decision-making capacity (DMC) act as important mechanisms linking TL to PS. Meanwhile, nurses’ perceived locus of control (LC) moderates the effect of TL on SC and DMC in such a way that this effect is more salient for nurses with internal LC than for nurses with external LC. This paper examines the contribution, that individuals with high internal LC are more affected by TL, generate and can better develop SC and DMC. The study findings demonstrated the significant role of transformational leadership played in order to improve working conditions and the environment, which helps nurses to create good conditions, relationships with patients and increase patient safety. The theoretical and practical implications of this study are discussed

The performance of nurses can be seen from several cases that occur in hospitals. The incidence of falls in patients, nosocomial infections, inadequate documentation is the result of nurses' low performance. Factors that affect the performance of nurses in hospitals are job satisfaction. So this study aims to describe the relationship between job satisfaction and nurse performance. This study used a cross-sectional study design with a sample of 85 nurses at Arosuka Hospital using proportional sampling technique. The research instrument used a job satisfaction survey questionnaire and the Individual Work Performance quasi (IWPQ) and statistical tests used frequency distribution and chi-square tests. The results showed that the majority of nurses' job satisfaction was in the satisfied category as much as 56.5% and the majority of nurses' performance in the high category was 51.8%. Then obtained a significant relationship between job satisfaction and nurse performance with a p-value of 0.000. So it is expected that hospitals can pay attention to aspects of nurse job satisfaction in making policies

IntroductionLeadership, and the role of a Chief Executive in healthcare organisations, has never been more important. This review provides one of the first retrospective cross-sectional analyses of the developmental journeys of chief executives within the National Health Service (NHS).MethodsTwenty-eight semi-structured qualitative interviews were conducted with medical, clinical and non-clinical NHS chief executives from the Health Service Journal’s list of ‘Top Chief Executives’ 2014–2018. Through a thematic analysis of their narratives, lessons for the development of aspiring NHS chief executives emerge.ResultsFew proactively sought leadership opportunities and there was a lack of an active leadership development strategy. Yet the ‘seeds of leadership development’ took root early. Combined with a blended approach of formal leadership development and ‘on-the-job’ informal leadership development, emerging NHS chief executives were exposed to multiple ‘crucible moments’ that helped them develop into and excel at the top of their field.DiscussionTop NHS chief executives possess inherent values and a strong sense of social responsibility that underpin their developmental journeys, guide their behaviour, and strengthen their resilience. Capable, high quality leaders are needed from all professional backgrounds to support high quality care and much more needs to be done, particularly for medical and clinical professionals but for non-clinicians too, to maximise leadership potential within the NHS and develop a pipeline of aspiring NHS chief executives.

Patient safety has now become a global issue and a critical component of hospital quality management. One of the components in patient safety that must be carried out in the operating room is the application of the surgical safety checklist. Adherence in implementing the surgical safety checklist is influenced by several factors such as the knowledge of patient safety that nurses have. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of patient safety knowledge and the compliance of nurses in implementing the surgical safety checklist in the Pre-Operation Room, the Operation Room, RSD Mangusada Badung. This study used a quantitative observational method with a cross sectional design. The sample was all nurses in the operating room installation room RSD Mangusada Badung who were selected by a total sampling of 41 people. The research was conducted from 01-31 October 2020. The results of data analysis using the rho Spearman nonparametric statistical test at a significance level of ? 0.05, the p value was 0.000 <0.05. This shows that there is a significant relationship between the level of patient safety knowledge on nurses' compliance in implementing the surgical safety checklist in the Pre-Operation Room for the Operation Room, RSD Mangusada Badung. It is hoped that health workers, especially nurses in the operating room, can increase knowledge about patient safety and be more obedient in implementing the surgical safety checklist.

The safety of hospital patients is the hospital system to make patient care safer. Safe from the possibility of the risk of Patient Safety Incidents (IKP). One that can override the Model COPA patient safety is requesting more competent, safe practices, verified by examination performance. This study used a descriptive correlation design with cross sectional approach. The goal is to obtain COPA analysis model approach and the determinant factors of nurses with patient safety. The population is all nurses in inpatient hospital Abdul Manap city of Jambi. The number of samples in this study were 50 nurses using total sampling technique. In the bivariate analysis, obtained variables skills assessment and intervention, communication, critical thinking, human caring and relations of social, management, leadership, teaching and integration of science, gender, type of education, length of work, married status, employment status, accreditation campus, GPA, there is a significant association with patient safety with p-value <0.005. Meanwhile, to test each dependent variable and independent variables used chi square test. Multivariate analysis using logistic regression. For that to hospitals in hiring the necessary consideration in terms of the skill factor, for workforce training nurses for patient safety and hospital complements the SPO and equipment less.

Abstract Creating a positive patient safety culture is a key step in the improvement of patient safety in healthcare settings. PSC is a set of shared attitudes, beliefs, and perceptions about PS among healthcare providers. This study aimed to assess PSC in burn care units from the perspectives of healthcare providers. This cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted in 2020 in the units of a specialty burn center. Participants were 213 healthcare providers recruited to the study through a census. A demographic questionnaire and the Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture were used for data collection. Data were managed using the SPSS16 software and were summarized using the measures of descriptive statistics. The mean of positive responses to PSC items was 51.22%, denoting a moderate-level PSC. The lowest and the highest dimensional mean scores were related to the no punitive response to error dimension (mean: 12.36%) and the teamwork within departments dimension (mean: 73.25%), respectively. Almost half of the participants (49.3%) reported acceptable PS level in their workplace and 69.5% of them had not reported any error during the past twelve months before the study. Given the great vulnerability of patients with burn injuries in clinical settings, improving PSC, particularly in the no punitive response to error dimension, is essential to encourage healthcare providers for reporting their errors and thereby, to enhance PS. For quality care delivery, healthcare providers in burn care units need a safe workplace, adequate managerial support, a blame-free PSC, and an incentive error reporting system to readily report their errors.
