The aim of the article is to present streamlining reverse logistics challenging the trends of increased amount costs of packaging and a need to meet sustainable development goals. Analysis of the packaging process has identified increased costs for the purchase of packaging, increased volume of imported and produced packaging material, increased volume of packaging waste and thus high recycling fees (related to producer responsibility). A proposed solution for streamlining reverse logistics processes have been introduced, including workflow of the packaging process, a new packaging registration system and measures for standardisation of the packaging process. The solution's main benefits are economical and ecological: first, cost reduction for purchasing new packaging materials and cost reduction for recycling fees, the second elimination of negative influence on the environment by respecting the waste management hierarchy and principles of the circular economy. Other benefits expected for the company are shorter, more informative, and practical training of new employees, reduced time for packaging process through its standardisation and visualisation, and more efficient separation of reusable packaging.

The importance of reverse logistics and product recovery is evident in various industries as well as in current UNESCO sustainable development goals. This includes plastics and recycling with the former “contributed” significantly towards environmental issues and the latter being one of the primary solutions. The motivations of its implementation are generally divided into legal, economic, and socio-environmental factors. One of the crucial components of plastics recycling and a reverse logistics system is product return channels. The success of other components especially the recovery operations depends on the effectiveness of the return channels. Although numerous investigations on product return channels have been carried out, research on some critical aspects remains wanting. This study presents a review that highlights this deficiency, depicts relevant research development on product return channels, decision-making issues, and direction for future research. At the end of the study, the authors propose a new closed-loop logistics network and future research framework propositions.

<p>Climate change is one of the most important global issues affecting the entire population on the earth, particularly young people. Since climate change is already threating us all, it is of utmost importance to raise this issue in a wide range of community policies, including school programs. In line with this reasoning, teacher at our school have together started a collaborative project in different subject as Natural Science, Swedish, Economics, Human Rights and Social Science focused on United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The primary objective with this collaborative project is to work with United Nations sustainaable Development Goals since it is applicable to the school subjects in many different aspects, including Economic, Social science and Science. An important objective of this project is to provide students with educational and practical training in how to make scientific inquiries and write a scientific report. During this school year, participating students will attend lectures and exhibitions concerning United Nations’ Sustanable Development Goals. This article analysis the game relationship between local governments without cooperation or not by the game theory during the recycling process of ELV, and then get the optimal strategy choice. Results show that regional income and environmental monitoring are the important factors that affect regional game, as a result, although our country has clearly defined the responsibility of" supervision and management " to local government in the reverse logistics of ELV, this can only play a guiding significance in the process of implementation and the operability is not strong. So we should need to improve the management of special funds, strengthen financial support, adjust the national industrial development policy, establish a regional mechanism of cooperation, setting the development goals scientifically of the recycling industry of ELV, and do further refinement of local government powers and duties, so as to promote the development of recycling industry of ELV healthily.

Purpose Despite the potential of SMEs in economic development, their activities have remained largely unsustainable in Nigeria. These enterprises are constrained by a number of challenges- high cost of production, poor power supply, high infrastructural deficit etc. which have made there operations largely unproductive. The purpose of this paper is to examine the effects of production subcontracting forms on the sustenance of small and medium enterprises as a panacea for achieving the targets of goal 8 of sustainable development goals (SDGs) in Enugu State, Nigeria. Design/methodology/approach The paper adopted a number of methods comprising of field observations, a reference to relevant literature and a questionnaire survey of 96 SMEs. The paper also adopted a quantitative approach comprising of simple descriptive statistics of mean and standard deviation as well as regression analysis to analyze the data. Findings This paper found that the three forms of production subcontracting (supplier, specialized and capacity subcontracting) identified in the paper were used by SMEs to achieve sustenance (cost reduction, risk reduction and access to resources) in their operations. The paper suggests that the sustenance of SMEs through the utilisation of the different forms of subcontracting can become a strategy towards achieving the targets of SDG 8 in Nigeria. The purpose of this study is to reveal the influential mechanism on patients’ adoption intention of telemedicine in the underdeveloped areas. Based on 896 patients’ data collected in Pakistan, we found that patients’ adoption intention is a function of traveling cost, attitudes, and perceived usefulness. High traveling cost is found to have the most significant negative influence on adoption intention. Patients with shorter distance prefer more to use telemedicine. Traveling cost, traveling time, and traveling distance have indirect influences on adoption intention through their significant impacts on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Our findings indicate that geographic locations does matter during promotion of telemedicine. This study also helps identify the true barriers and facilitators to large-scale adoption of telemedicine in developing countries and reduce the gap of healthcare equity as concerned by both UN Millennium Development Goals and UN Sustainable Development Goals.

This paper examines the increasing turnover in the hotel industry, which has a negative influence on the quality of services provided, as well as customer satisfaction. Hotel managers are forced to hire new employees in order to secure smooth hotel operations as well as replace those employees who have left for their competitors. Newly hired employees need to be instructed and trained, which has a negative influence on hotel costs. We assume that both an employee’s age and the level of education determines the quality of their performance at work, as well as their personal stability, thus having an influence on business sustainability. This paper analyzes the age and education diversification of employees in four-star and five-star hotels in Slovakia, and its impact on employee turnover. The research was undertaken in 2019, with a research sample comprising 1085 individuals employed in selected chain and independent hotels. We examined the opinions of employees from different ages and education levels about their retention and changes of employment. Statistical testing confirmed the relation between turnover and the educational level of the employees. However, the correlation between turnover and age was rejected. We analyze the different perceptions of retention and job change of employees from different age groups. The revelation of the causes as to why employees might leave a hotel could help managers change their philosophy and the processes of human resources management in favor of developing a sustainable company.
