Among the most acute socio-pedagogical problems facing the modern Russian school is the increasing number of aggressive manifestations in the educational environment. This situation actualizes the schools need for the prevention and correction of aggressive behavior. The article presents the results of a socio-pedagogical research, the purpose of which was to identify the types and forms of aggressive behavior in the educational environment and to explore the current state of preventive work. The study was conducted by the Institute for the Study of Childhood, Family and Upbringing in July 2021 in the form of a questionnaire survey of directors of educational organizations. The methodology of the research included a socio-pedagogical analysis of situations of aggressive manifestations among students, teachers and parents; study of social, environmental, family and personal factors of aggressive behavior; and identification of mechanisms for preventing aggressive behavior in the educational environment. The results are presented in the format of socio-psychological portraits of three schools located in the countryside, which are prominent representatives of Russian rural society. The study made it possible to draw the following main conclusions: (1) preventive work becomes an independent type of pedagogical work; (2) cyber-aggression, which was actively manifested during the period of distance learning and now requires comprehensive preventive work with students, teachers, and parents, is an over-pressing problem for educational organizations; (3) todays school is faced with the urgent task of developing and implementing programs for the prevention and correction of aggressive behavior. Abstract Background: Childhood obesity requires approaches that combine personal interventions with social and environmental changes. The preschool period is crucial in the context of the expansion of adipose tissue since it covers the adiposity rebound. Although emerging studies verifying a range of possible social, environmental, and personal explanatory variables for childhood obesity, the assessment of body fat mass using a gold standard instrument, is still a gap especially during the preschool period. The aim of this study was to determine social, environmental, and personal factors associated to the excess of body fat mass in preschool period. Methods: Quantitative, exploratory, cross-sectional study developed in public schools. Results: Analyzes using univariate and multivariate models demonstrated that parental obesity, highest quality of environmental stimulation and screen time explained almost 50% the excess of body fat mass in preschoolers. Conclusion: The presence of obesity in one parent, a home environment with high stimulation, and permanence for a long period on-screen are outcomes strongly associated with the presence of an excess of body fat mass in the preschool period. These findings may assist the development of public guidelines focusing on child health to outline effective strategies that contribute to the quality of life and treatment of preschoolers with excess body fat mass.

The article presents the results of the study of satisfaction with the psycho-didactic component of the educational environment as an indicator of threats to the psychological health of schoolchildren in three groups: parents, teachers and heads of educational organizations. The total number of respondents in the sample was 16,808 people. Satisfaction with the educational environment in the following characteristics was studied: satisfaction with 1) the content of education, 2) the conditions of training, 3) the techniques of training and education used in educational organizations. A pairwise comparison of the results obtained in three groups of respondents revealed statistically significant differences in all characteristics. At the same time, parents showed the highest degree of satisfaction with the psycho-didactic component of the educational environment, which may be due to their insufficient involvement to the educational process and incomplete awareness of the real situation in the schools. Teachers and school heads are less satisfied with the psycho-didactic component of the educational environment and therefore see more risks and threats to the psychological health of children.

The study was attended by heads of 81 schools from 40 Russian regions. The research tool was a questionnaire developed by the authors, consisting of 137 questions. The survey was conducted in 2021. The results of the study showed that the problem of aggression among students, manifested in various forms – verbal, physical, social, cyber aggression, including conflicts and bullying, as well as autoaggressive behavior, is of high relevance. In addition, the data show that there is a lack of systematics in the preventive activities implemented in schools, both in the field of the forms of work used, and in the choice of the target audience, the number of specialists involved.
