The control of Plasmopara viticola and Botrytis cinerea, two of the most dangerous pathogens on grapevine, requires frequent treatments with chemicals based on weather conditions. Numerous applications of fungicides have resulted in developing fungicide resistance. Active ingredients based on copper have been used very successfully for a long time to protect grapevines against these pathogens. Application of a copper citrate formulation with high degree dissociation at a very low concentration (1%) was evaluated in field trials. The efficacy of two concentrations of copper citrate, 0.5 and 1.0%, were tested against P. viticola on grapevine in three locations, and against B. cinerea in two locations during 2018. Our results demonstrated that the concentration of 1.0% copper citrate was highly effective against P. viticola (87.4%) and B. cinerea (63.7%), compared to standard treatment (90.6 and 53.1%), under a high level of infection.

The sensitivity of the reproductive structures of Forsythiasuspensato the complex influence of undifferentiated environmental factors has been studied. The monitoring sites are located in 15 different park ecosystems in 6 administrative districts of Kyiv. Data from the Borys Sreznevsky Central Geophysical Observatory (air pollution index (API) and meteorological conditions for 2018-2020) were used to assess the conditions of the growthenvironment. The influence of a complex of ecologically important factors during the flowering offorsythia on the quality of the formedpollen is noted. Thus, growing plantsfor a long time in conditions with a low level of air pollution (APIup to 5.0) in abnormal weather conditions in 2020,40-50% less fertile grainswere formed. And forplants, which grow in areas with increasedlevel (API5.0-7.0) and high level (API7.0-14.0) of air pollution, the share of fertile grains in the pollen population decreased by 60-80%. In the closed bud,the pollen has higher resistance to a complex of exogenous growth factors. Forsythia plants, which are located in large parklands, lose less pollen quality in adverse weather conditions and affected byurbotechnogenic factors. F. suspensa is an acceptable indicator of the level of environmental pollution by the deviation of pollen fertility from the control value. In areas with high aerogenic load, for example, areas with large highways (Bus Station «Darnytsia»), as well as with a significant recreational load (HolosiivskyiPark, Recreation Park on the Olena Teliha Street) much smaller pollen is formed. Itis noted that the conditions of forsythia growth affect the quantitative indicators of the formed pollen not only in the flower but also in the closed bud, which confirms the chronic effect of the complex of ingredients of aerotechnogenic emissions on plants of this species. The coefficient of sterility of pollen (CS) was used to objectively compare the data of 2019 and 2020 on the condition of the generative organs of F. suspensa in the studied areas. The calculation of the CS confirmed that in the closedbud pollen has a higher resistance to exogenous factors. In areas with high and increased levels of air pollution, during budding and flowering of plants (March-May,) there is a much higher CS of pollen of F. suspensа. Significant parkland territoriesof the city (for example, HolosiivskyiPark, Botanical Garden named after O. V. Fomin) provide less stressful conditions for growth and development of plants, even with the "very high" level of air pollution (ISA above 14.0) observed in April 2020 on this territory. The study of the susceptibility of F. suspensаpollen to growing conditions will be continued, as the prospects of using this species for bioindication of ecological status and zoning of park ecosystems of Kyiv according to the gradient of anthropogenic impact have been revealed.Key words:forsythia, fertility, coefficient of sterility of pollen, bioindication.

Currently, the writing team develops the research topic «Conceptual approaches to the creation of acmeologically oriented system of training and retraining of professional education». As noted by some researchers, the economy of Kazakhstan observed two processes with the ability to permanent development and improvement. We can talk about acmeologyzation of the personality of a professional and acmeological process of its preparation, which is possible only in the case of acmeologically-educated teacher of professional education and acmeologically-oriented system of training and retraining. There is no such a system today. Foregoing leads to: the need for scientific research of fundamental bases of creation of this system; a high degree of relevance to the problem of creating acmeologically -oriented system of preparation of teacher of professional education; high level of novelty of the study – expected results of the study justify new conceptual approaches to preparation of vocational teachers; study of the problems of pedagogic acmeology as a science of teacher achievement in mastership has been attracting the attention of scientists for a long time.

The ability of sage (Salvia officinalis) extract to control grapevine downy mildew under greenhouse and field conditions was tested. The persistence and rainfastness of sage extract were also investigated. Sage extract provided a high level of sustained disease control in artificially inoculated, potted grapevine under greenhouse conditions. However, even small amounts of simulated rainfall (10 mm) significantly reduced efficacy of sage extract. In a field experiment in 2006, sage extract provided 94% reduction in disease incidence and 63% reduction in area under the disease progress curve for disease severity on berries and leaves, respectively, reaching a level of disease control not significantly different from that provided by copper hydroxide. In 2007, the sage extract provided only a partial reduction (less than 30%) of downy mildew on leaves, probably as a result of a long rainy period between two of the consecutive treatments. Overall, sage extract effectively controlled grapevine downy mildew and could be a promising alternative to copper in organic viticulture. However, the low rainfastness of this treatment adversely affected its efficacy.

The article defines that the correct method of pricing, reasonable pricing policy, consistent implementation of a sound pricing strategy - these are the necessary components of the successful operation of any enterprise operating in market conditions. The factors that determine the peculiarity of pricing in the hotel industry and influence the choice of pricing strategy of the enterprise are analyzed: seasonality of prices and tariffs; it is not possible to produce hotel services "in stock"; wide gradation of profitability of different types of services and enterprises; simultaneous sale of services in the domestic and international markets; the importance of the pricing mechanism for additional services; high degree of influence of the price level in competing hotels; pronounced market segmentation and a high level of focus on the psychological characteristics of the guest; geographical factor. It is determined that it is impossible to choose a certain pricing policy at once and implement it for a long time. It must be constantly checked and adapted to the situation in the market. We have considered the types of prices and general methods of pricing under the influence of objective and subjective factors, namely the cost of the room and the acceptability of the tariff for the final consumer. Thus, on the one hand, the hotel rate should cover the cost of maintaining the hotel and return the capital invested in it, and on the other - the cost of the room should not alienate a potential guest. There are two fundamentally different methodological approaches to setting tariffs for hotel accommodation. The main principle of the first approach is to first form a price that ensures the return on all costs and target profit and, then, its adjustment to take into account information about the level of prices prevailing in the market. The second approach is based on the reverse logic and involves determining the market price and only then adjusted depending on the level of fixed and variable costs of the enterprise to ensure the target profit. The advantages and disadvantages of direct and reverse approaches to the formation of prices for the main types of hotel services are outlined.

Citrus greasy spot, caused by Zasmidium citri-griseum ( = Mycosphaerella citri) is the most prevalent fungal disease of citrus in Panama, causing premature defoliation and yield reduction. Fungicide applications are generally needed for the control of greasy spot. In this study, the sensitivity to fenbuconazole of 34 isolates of Z. citri-griseum from Panama was determined by calculating the effective concentration needed to reduce mycelial growth by 50% (EC50). Two field trials were conducted from 2011 to 2013, to evaluate the efficacy of fenbuconazole to reduce disease severity and yield loss. The EC50 values for fenbuconazole ranged from 0.09 to 7.62 μg mL−1, with a mean EC50 value of 2.66 ± 0.36 SE μg mL−1 for mycelial growth. These data can be used for monitoring sensitivity shifts in Z. citri-griseum to fenbuconazole and reduce risk of fungicide resistance in Panama. In the field trials, sprays with fenbuconazole significantly reduced (p < 0.0001) the severity of greasy spot on leaves compared with the non-treated control. Greater disease control was obtained when three sprays of fenbuconazole were applied instead of one. Nevertheless, no significant differences (p > 0.05) were detected in yield.

SummaryA newborn calf was admitted for evaluation of a primarily closed comminuted metaphyseal fracture of metacarpus III/IV. Closed reduction and application of transfixation pins and a fibreglass cast were performed. Ten days after pin removal, radiographs revealed that the initially healed fracture had collapsed, and osteomyelitis was diagnosed. Bacteriological culture from the deep draining tract yielded Actinomyces pyogenes and Staphylococcus aureus. Standard treatment of delayed union or nonunion caused by septic osteomyelitis consists of surgical debridement, rigid fixation, and long-time administration of antibiotics. In this case, we used surgical debridement, administration of a new long-acting local antibiotic (gentamicin- impregnated collagen sponges), and minimal external stabilization. At day 27 after initiation of this treatment, the skin defect had healed, and the fracture was stable on manual palpation.Standard treatment of delayed union or nonunion caused by septic osteomyelitis consists of surgical debridement, rigid fixation and prolonged administration of antibiotics. In the case described, we used surgical debridement, administration of a long-acting local antibiotic (gentamicin-impregnated collagen sponges), and minimal external stabilization. The promising outcome of this case and the good results in human surgery warrant further investigation in the use of gentamicin-impregnated collagen sponges in veterinary orthopaedics.

Mosquitoes are vectors of many pathogens which causes serious human diseases like Malaria, Filariasis, Japanese encephalitis, Dengue fever, Chikungunya, Yellow fever and Zika virus which constitute a major public health problem globally. Mosquito borne diseases cause high level of economic impact all over the world and result in millions of death every year. They infect around 700,000,000 people annually worldwide and 40,000,000 only in India. The continuous use of synthetic pesticides to control vector mosquitoes has caused physiological resistance, toxic effect on human health, environmental pollution and addition to these, its adverse effects can be observed on non-target organisms. Synthetic chemical pesticides have been proved to be effective, but overall in last 5 decades indiscriminate use of synthetic pesticides against vector borne disease control have originated several ecological issues due to their residual accumulation and development of resistance in target vectors and their chronic effects.

In addition to the classical pathogens, which are well understood and well identified, new pathogens with the potential to spread epidemiologically are being identified. Some of these little-known organisms are the simplest Blastocystis spp. blastocystostosis. The clinical significance of Blastocystis spp. and its pathogenicity are still under discussion. This parasite belongs to a group of single-celled eukaryotic organisms living in the colon of the human intestine. Blastocystis spp. is known to be found both in people with reduced immune status and in individuals without any clinical manifestation. It has been established that a sufficiently high degree of invasiveness is observed in persons with gastrointestinal tract diseases, dermatosis, allergic reactions, in patients with carriers of the human immunodeficiency virus, etc. Possessing persistence factors, protozoa blastocysts contribute to the inactivation of host defensive mechanisms, providing a stable anthogonistic effect. In recent years, many works have been devoted to the characteristics of the persistent properties of Blastocystis spr., however, individual properties of blastocysts, in particular, anticytokine activity (ACA), have not yet been studied. In this regard, the work studied the anticytokine activity of microorganisms isolated from healthy subjects and patients with gastrointestinal tract diseases. A high prevalence of the studied characteristic in the subjects was shown. The expression of anticytokine activity in the obtained isolates of blastocysts was the highest in the group of persons with gastric ulcer disease, which decreased in the order of duodenal ulcer, chronic cholecystitis, chronic gastritis, etc. The data obtained in this work on the high level of ACA expression in blastocyst isolates obtained from individuals with gastrointestinal diseases as compared with the control group enables to conclude that their exometabolites may influence the local cytokine balance [1], which supports the inflammatory process.

AbstractGait disorders are common in the elderly as there are various causes of neurological and non-neurological conditions. On the other hand, most of the gait parameters do change with advancing age which is identified as age-related physiological changes in gait. At this point, the discrimination between age-related physiological changes and gait disorders may be strictly challenging. After identifying gait as an abnormal pattern, classification of it and making the responsible pathophysiology also require high-level expertise in this regard. Herein, we present a rare patient with corticobasal degeneration (CBD) who had admitted initially due to complaints of gait problems. Over a long time, the patient had received the misdiagnosis of gait abnormality due to musculoskeletal problems by multiple physicians. However, the detailed neurological exam showed a higher level gait disorder (HLGD). Further investigations at this point yielded the diagnosis of CBD.
