Engaging the Experts to Embrace the Future: An Interactive Professional Learning Experience

We present the results of a research study exploring whether an integrated professional-student learning experience can better address the urgent demand for data-savvy, collaborative students ready to contribute on day one of their professional careers. The Interactive Professional Learning Experience (IPLE) brings practitioners into the classroom to work with students in an active learning setting. Our IPLE includes four steps: a guest speaker presentation to introduce the topic, assignment of a case project to student teams, a collaborative lab session with professionals and student teams, and finally, presentations to the original guest speaker and class. Pre- and post-test assessments indicate significantly positive improvement in student learning as compared to two other course sections that did not include the full IPLE. Questionnaire responses indicate overwhelmingly positive perceptions of the experience, including improved learning, satisfaction, and effectiveness. Overall, student feedback indicates the IPLE was an effective learning mechanism for students that simulates what they will encounter in the profession.

Education Academy which aimed at mapping the research base around the student learning experience in higher education (HE). The project aimed to 1) provide an overview of the ways in which the student learning experience in HE has been and is conceptualised; 2) provide an overview of interventions aimed at producing a more effective learning experience; and 3) review the methodological approaches adopted to investigate the student learning experience. The paper outlines the review approach adopted by this project and presents an analytical map in which reviewed studies are categorised in terms of the methods they adopt and the area of investigation. Selected findings in the areas of inventory-based studies, assessment and feedback and teaching, curriculum and learning environments are discussed. The project identified a large, but broad, heterogeneous and somewhat scattered research base, dominated by a tradition of studies using inventory methods, and otherwise by small and localised studies often conducted by practitioners researching their own subject areas. The paper concludes with a discussion of the strengths and weaknesses of the project's methods, and recommendations for developing the student learning experience research base in the future.

<em>The purpose of this research was to improve student learning outcomes in science grade V elementary schools with a Google meet assisted Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model. The research conducted was a Classroom Action Research (PTK) with three cycles, with each cycle consisting of two meetings. The stages of each cycle are planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. Each meeting is carried out a pre test and post test to determine the progress of students. In the first cycle the students who completed after carrying out the post test were 74%. In the second cycle students who completed after carrying out the post test were 87%. In the third cycle students who completed after carrying out the post test were 90%. These results indicate that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model can improve student learning outcomes, especially grade V science at SDN 2 Cilongok.</em>

<p><em>The purpose of this study was to improve the learning achievement of students in Indonesian Language Mupel in Elementary Class 1 through a scientific approach with video media. The research conducted was a Classroom Action Research (CAR )in three cycles, which each cycle consisting of one meeting.The stage of each cycle </em><em>are planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. Each meeting is carried out a pre test and post test to determine the progress of students. In the first cycle students who completed after carrying out the post test were 50%. In the second cycle students who completed after carrying out the post test were 85, 71%. In the third cycle students who completed after carrying out the post test were 92,85%. These results indicate that learning through a scientifik approach with video media can improve student learning achievement, especially Mupel Indonesian Language on How to Introduce Yourself in Class 1 SDN Plosogede 1.</em></p>

This study aimed to describe the learning outcomes through the use of maps. The subjects were students of class V SD 007 Bagan Besar, Dumai with held consisting of two cycles. Improved learning outcomes in terms of four categories, namely absorption, the effectiveness of learning, mastery learning completeness students both individually and classical completeness and thoroughness of learning outcomes. The instrument used for data collection is an oral test and a written test in the form of worksheets that is done after the process of learning. The results showed absorption learning outcomes on average 80% considered very good, very effective learning effectiveness categorized by an average of 8.5. The research is motivated by the problem of independence learning class VII of State Junior High School 7 Serang City in academic year 2019/2020. The purpose of the research was to determine the descriptions of student learning independence and the influence of classical guidance with techniques STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) in increasing student learning independence. The research type used in the study was pre-experimental design with one group pre-post test design, with a population of class VII there were 193 students and a sample of 40 students selected by purposive sampling technique. The data collection method uses a questionnaire of students' learning independence which has been tested the content validity and has 34 items from 44 valid items. The results of the study found that there were very high categories of 3 students with 1%  percentage, a high category of 67 students with 35%  percentage, a midle category of 83 students with 43% percentage, and a low category of 40 students with 21% percentage. Data analysis techniques using the Wilcoxon test. The results of the pretest and posttest data analysis of learning independence, obtained z count -5,512b z table 820.00, then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, it’s mean that it can improve independence learning after given a classical guidance service with technique STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) to students class VII of State Junior High School 7 Serang City.

This study aims to determine student learning outcomes after the STAD learning model is applied The formulation of the problem is, What is the result of student physics learning after following the physics learning dengn Student Teams Achievement (STAD) in class X.2 SMA Negeri 7 Lubuklinggau significantly ?. This study aims to determine the results of student learning on physics learning by using Student Teams Achievement (STAD) learning model in Class X.2 SMA Negeri 7 Lubuklinggau. The research method used is Quasi Eksperimen. Population in this study all students of class X SMA Negeri 7 Lubuklinggau and as sample is class X.2 which amounts to 25 students and taken at random. Data collection is done by using test and observation techniques. Based on the result of post-test analysis of experimental class t test that thitung> ttabel or 1,883> 1,697 thus Ha accepted and H0 in decline concluded that mean of student learning result is significant

[email protected] , [email protected] , [email protected] ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh hasil belajar pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dalam mata pelajaran Gambar Teknik Manufaktur pada kelas XI TPm1 di SMK Negeri 3 Singaraja sehingga dapat menjadi acuan dalam proses pembelajaran yang lain. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis eksperimen dengan bentuk ”Pre-test Post-test One Shot Case Study”. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik SMKN 3 Singaraja. Sampel penelitian ini 1 kelas yang di isi oleh 31 kelas TPm 1. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu tes hasil belajar. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi dan evaluasi hasil pembelajaran. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah dengan cara : (1) Perhitungan analisis sederhana dengan cara membandingkan persentase hasil belajar siswa antara Pre-tes dan Post-tes siswa. (2) Menggunakan Skor N-gain dengan menguji normalitas data skor hasil pre-test, post-test dan Ngain. Normalized atau N-Gain skor bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan suatu model atau perlakuan (treatment) tertentu. (3) Uji T Paired atau Paired T Test digunakan sebagai uji komparatif atau perbedaan skala data dengan menghitung mean. Untuk mengetahui dan mempermudah analisis data interaksi antara hasil belajar siswa pada data pengaruh pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dibantu dengan menggunakan SPSS sebagai alat bantu hitung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD memiliki pengaruh dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.Menurut analisis data secara sederhana, peningkatan hasil belajar terjadi dari pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan nilai persentase manual sebesar 4,07 %. Menurut analisis data menggunakan teknik N-Gain, ada pengaruh dari penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD sebesar 10,967 (0,1) walaupun dengan kategori rendah. Hasil analisis menggunakan teknik Uji Paired T Tes menunjukkan adanya pengaruh dengan melihat perbandingan distribusi nilai t hitung lebih besar dari nilai t pada tabel, jadi H1diterima dan H0 ditolak karena adaanya pengaruh model pembelajar kooperatif tipe STAD terhadap hasil beajar siswa. The sample of this research are 31 student people of TPm1 class at SMKN 3 Singaraja. The instrument of this research are learning test. Data collected by observation and learning results method. Data analysis use by: (1) simply analysis with percentage compare between post and pre tes results. (2) with used N-Gain score by verify the normalizing score from post and pre test results after treatment STAD model, this technique for knowing effectiviness of cooperative learning method. (3) by used Paired T Test as a scale difference and comparative test with means calculate, this reseach used SPSS application to make it easier for interaction data analysis between learning results The results of reseach are show model of cooperative learning STAD type to have influece for a learning result.The results obtained for considerations with simply data analysis have percentage score was 4,07%, it can improved learning outcome by use method of cooperative learning STAD type. The results for used N-Gain have score was 10,967 (0,1) whit low category and it had influence to improved learning outcome. The results by used Paired T Tes showed have have influence by seeing comparison t count is bigger than t table. The purpose of this study is for improving learning process of social studies in order to increase the completeness of student learning result in social studies. This study designed by using qualitative approach and the kind of this study is classroom action research. This research implemented through four phase, namely: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Research subject is class IX H students of MTsN Barabai in first semester year 2014/ 2015. The result of study shown that learning result in first cycle of the average values obtained 68.9 with the number of success achieved 69%. In the second cycle obtained 80.2 with the number of success achieved 93%. This suggests that learning through the application type STAD cooperative learning model can be improved learning result.Key Words: Learning result, Students Teams Achievement Division (STAD)Model.
