This research aims to investigate the use of fractional cards on teaching in the fifth grade students of Elementary School. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The researcher used observation, interview, and documentation to collect the data. The results showed that there was an increase on the students' enthusiasm for learning process, and there were 27 students (69.23%) that have a score above the Minimum Criteria of Mastery (Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal/KKM). The study concludes that the use of fractional cards able to help the learning process on the fractions material of the fifth grade students of Elementary School.

ABSTRACTThe research is an action research aiming at improving the learning output of social science using cooperative learning model of Numbered Head Together. The subjects of the research are the fifth grade students of Sekolah Dasar Negeri Batu Kembar in the even semester, the year of 2015/ 2016 with the number of students of 21 consisting of 12 boys and 9 girls. The research used cycling procedure containing four steps of planning, doing, observing, and reflecting. The action research is done in two cycles. Each cycle is conducted in one meeting. After the implementation of Numbered Head Together, the learning output of students social science improves from the first to the second cycle. The result shows that the average score in the first cycle is 65, and the learning completion is 50.00%, while in the second cycle, the average score is 74 and the learning completion is 85.00%. The learning process score in the first cycle is 75.75%, and it improves in the second cycle to be 90.00%. The result of students behavior observation shows improvement of students discipline, cooperation, bravery which in the first cycle is 80.50% and it improves in the second cycle to be 85.50%. Therefore it can be inferred that the implementation of the cooperative learning model of Numbered Head Together is able to improve the learning output of the fifth grade students social science in an elementary school. Keywords: Learning Output, Social Science, Numbered Head Together.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif Numbered Head Together. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa Sekolah Dasar Negeri Batu Kembar kelas V semester genap tahun pelajaran 2015/ 2016 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 21 siswa, terdiri dari 12 siswa laki-laki dan 9 siswi perempuan. Prosedur penelitian dilaksanakan bersiklus yang terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Pelaksanaan tindakan kelas ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus dilaksanakan satu kali pertemuan, setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Numbered Head Together hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial siswa meningkat dari siklus pertama ke siklus kedua. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata hasil belajar pada siklus I memperoleh nilai 65, dengan ketuntasan hasil belajar sebesar 50,00%, sedangkan siklus II memperoleh nilai rata-rata 74 dengan ketuntasan belajar 85,00%. Begitu pula dengan penilaian pelaksanaan pembelajaran pada siklus I sebesar 75,75%, meningkat pada siklus II sebesar 90,00%. Sedangkan hasil observasi perilaku siswa menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pada sikap berupa disiplin, kerja sama dan keberanian yang diperoleh pada siklus I dengan persentase sebesar 80,50% dan meningkat pada siklus II sebesar 85,50%. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Numbered Head Together dapat Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Pada Mata Pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial di kelas V Sekolah Dasar.Kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar, Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial, Numbered Head Together.

The low student learning motivation, especially in the elementary level, is influenced by outdated learning media. This study aims at improving students’ learning motivation in social sciences among fifth-grade students through an edutainment-based learning model with PowerPoint. This research employed Classroom Action Research adapting Kemmis and Taggart model. The object of this research was the social sciences in Elementary School. The data collection techniques were through direct observation, questionnaires, and interviews. This research was conducted in two cycles and the improvements were made in the form of learning strategies in each cycle. The results showed that the learning process of social sciences using the developed PowerPoint could improve the students’ learning motivation among the fifth-grade students of the elementary school in the social sciences subject. Based on the observation results before the study, the average percentage was 60.00% or in the moderate category. After the research was carried out, it became 76.67% for the first cycle, and 88.33% or in the high category for the second cycle, respectively. The questionnaire results before the study were 55.08% or in the moderate category. After the learning process with the developed PowerPoint, it increased to 73.31% in the first and 81.37% in the high category in the second cycle, respectively. It indicates that the use of the developed learning media can significantly enhance students’ learning motivation among the students at elementary school.

This study has two purposes, the first is describing how the teacher’s preparation the instructional media and the second one is explaining how the teacher’s utilized the instructional media in teaching English to young learners. This study was conducted in SDN Baros Mandiri 3 Cimahi at fifth-grade students. To collect the data the researcher used observation in the classroom and interview with the English teacher. This method used a descriptive qualitative. The result of this study showed that in preparing the instructional media the teacher did two kinds of preparation. The English teacher’s stated that the preparation was: first, selecting the suitable instructional media related to the material that will be taught. Second, mastering the material for delivering to students. The instructional media used by the English teacher’s is flashcards, the English teacher’s stated that flashcards are mostly because it doesn’t need a lot of preparation. Flashcards are also useful to help the teacher in the learning process because the students can visualize the words through seen at the flashcards. The use of flashcards also easy, the teacher only needs to show one by one of the pictures to all students and they would be guessed the name of the pictures related to the material, students who can guess will come to the front of the class and write down the word in English.

AbstractThis paper critically aims to enhance English vocabularies among EFL young learners of the fifth grade students through picture-word inductive model at elementary school Zainul Hasan Genggong Probolinggo in the academic year of 2019-2020. The research problem is How is the effective picture-word inductive model to enhance vocabulary among young learners of elemantary school Zainul Hasan Genggong Probolinggo? The type of the research is classroom action research. It was conducted in two cycles. The subjects of the research were 20 students of fifth grade. The data were collected from the test, interview, documentation and observation. The result showed that the students had increased their English vocabulary mastery which can be seen from the test result provided by the researcher. This is the evident from the test result that overall there was an increase in the English vocabulary mastery of 5 grade students as much as 50.70 % in the first cycle and 85.54 % in the second cycle. Meanwhile, the observation result showed that the students seemed more enthusiastic during the learning process.  In reference to the actions conducted in two cycles, the use of the picture-word inductive model enhances the students’ vocabulary by practicing words into sentences and more attention on mechanical aspects such as spelling and pronunciation. Keywords : Young Learners, Vocabulary Mastery, Picture-word inductive model.

Efforts to increase interest in reading are necessary to cultivate children's interest in reading, as a habit from children till adults. This research is to know the reading interests of students to literature, it is expected that we can provide facilities to children to choose books children's literature that became a favorite to increase reading interests. The study was conducted on a fifth grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 1 Sidoarjo which aims to find out how the students' interest in reading literature. This research uses descriptive qualitative design, with the population students of SD Muhammadiyah 1 Sidoarjo. The sample in this study is a fifth grade elementary school student SD Muhammadiyah 1 Sidoarjo. Collecting data in this study are using methods or techniques of questionnaires, interviews and observation. The results of the study most students like to read picture books or comics, with ownership of books 6-15 books. The students spent time reading about 0-60 minutes a day.

This study is aimed to evaluate integration of local culture contents in the thematic textbook for the fifth grade students of Elementary School is crucial to include. This study used descriptive qualitative design.  This study revealed that local culture contents incurred in the textbook comprised of: (1) internal and external local culture load, (2) development of individual and society local culture domain, (3) reading texts, istructional texts, exercises and assignments, reflection views,  communication texts to students parents, and (4) implementation of local culture theories that is not yet optimally described.

This study aims to: (1) Describe the science learning activities of the fifth grade students of Palangkaraya SDN-3 in the 2016/2017 Academic Year on the application of the Word Square model Assisted by Media Flip Sheets, (2) Improve science learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SDN-3 Palangka 2016/2017 Academic Year after the application of the Word Square model Assisted by Flip Sheet Media. The type of research used by researchers is Class Action Research (PTK) with research subjects of all fifth-grade students in Palangka Elementary School-3 totaling 32 students. Data collection techniques in this study used observation and tests. Data analysis using qualitative, quantitative data analysis and Mixed Methods. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Activity of fifth grade students of Palangka Elementary School-3 in the 2016/2017 school year in science learning after applying the Word Square learning model Assisted by the Flip Sheet Media Board to be very good, because students are active, enthusiastic, listen to explanations teacher and enthusiastic in following the learning process. The results of the observations of teacher activities on teaching and learning activities carried out by observer I and observer II during the learning process of science in the first cycle average aspects of teacher activity 3.9 in the outstanding category and the universal element of students is 3.67 in the group very good. (2) There is an increase in science learning outcomes by applying the Word Square learning model Assisted Media Flip Sheet Board in class V science subjects at Palangka Elementary School-3 in the academic year 2016/2017. This is indicated by the learning outcomes seen through the class average in the first cycle which is equal to 84.22 and the completeness percentage of students in classical is 100%, from the predetermined provisions namely for KKM of 65 and completeness criteria in traditional 85%. With this, it can be concluded that there is an increase in science learning outcomes after applying the Word Square learning model assisted by the Flip Sheet Media Board.

This research aims to determine the significance of the difference in science learning results between the group of fifth-grade students in Gugus I Elementary Schools, North Kuta District, in the school year of 2017/2018, that take lessons with the multimedia-assisted probing-prompting learning model and the group of students that take lessons with the conventional learning. The design of this research is a quasi-experimental research with the nonequivalent control group design. The population of this research are all the fifth-grade students of Gugus I Elementary Schools in North Kuta District that still implement the KTSP, which consists of 10 classes with a total of 339 students. The sampling is conducted using the random sampling technique. The sample in this research are the students of class VB in SD (Elementary School) No.7 Dalung, with 36 students as the experiment group and the students of class VB in SD No.4 Dalung with 28 students as the control group. The data collection is conducted using the test method in the form of the multiple choice objective test. The science learning results are analyzed using the t-test. Based on the average the experiment groups =80,89 > the control group =72,85, which means that the multimedia-assisted probing-prompting learning model has an influence on the science learning result. Based on the hypothesis test, tvalues =4,517> ttable =2,000, with dk=62 and a significance level of 5%. Based on the test criteria, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, it can be interpreted there is a significant difference the science learning result between the group of students that were taught using the multimedia-assisted probing-prompting learning model and the students that were taught using the conventional learning. It can be concluded that the the multimedia-assisted probing-prompting learning model has an influence on the science learning result of the fifth-grade students in Gugus I Elementary School, North Kuta District, in the school year of 2017/2018. The media is a communication tool for teacher interaction with students which is a series of teaching and learning activities in schools. In the learning process the teacher has obstacles in conveying knowledge to students. The teacher needs media to be able to help attract the attention of students so that learning objectives are achieved. Picture card learning media can help teachers effectively achieve learning objectives in the teaching and learning process. This study applies a picture card learning media to students in class V SD Negeri 4 Tanjung Aman. The aim is to find out the improvement in student learning outcomes after the teacher applies the pictorial card learning media to fifth grade students of SD Negeri 4 Tanjung Aman. In this study using a design that is the Initial Test - The Final Group Single Test (The One Group Pretest - posttest). The learning outcomes in this study were obtained by the fifth grade students before and after the implementation of the pictorial card media, to find out the improvement in the learning outcomes of the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 4 Tanjung Aman. shows that the mean or posttest average is higher than the pretest. Mean posttest 62.22 and mean pretest 46.25, so there is an increase in learning outcomes after the application of the pictorial card media to fifth grade students of SD Negeri 4 Tanjung Aman.

The knowledge of history is the study of incidents in the past. Therefore, the knowledge of history has many benefits, including: history can create a better future by taking lessons and experiences from the past. History can be studied if there are forms of heritage, such as a temples. The center of the temple in Indonesia is located in Central Java, the center of the Hindu-Buddhist temple. This region has the Borobudur Temple, which is best known by the people of Indonesia and foreign tourists, because Borobudur Temple is the largest Buddhist temple in the world. But many other temples are interesting to be known by the community, especially by elementary school children who start studying history in fifth grade elementary school. Learning history in schools requires a variety of learning methods, so that students are enthusiastic and do not get bored while learning in class. In overcoming the history of learning methods that are less diverse in fifth grade elementary school children in Bandung, pop-up books were chosen as a solution to this problem because, the use of pop-up book media is a new experience for many students at school. Data collection techniques carried out by interview and observation using mixed methods. The main media is a pop up book entitled "Myths and Legends of Temples in Indonesia - Hindu-Buddhist Temple Edition in Central Java". Accompanied by supporting media, namely: stickers, carrying bags, tumblers, fans, and clothes. The design was made to increase insight and introduction of Hindu-Buddhist temples in Central Java to fifth grade students in Bandung.
