The teacher must be able to present good language ethical learning. It considers that the teacher is not only a source of learning material but also as a role model for students. Therefore, this study was conducted to describe the teacher's writing skills. This study used a descriptive analytic approach using a questionnaire and portfolio documentation. The research sample consisted of 26 teachers in Bandar Lampung. Based on research data, the average value of writing skills was 74.12. Thus, it can be concluded that the language skills of elementary school teachers in Bandar Lampung City are categorized as good.

The scope of learning material for social sciences (IPS) at Elementary School is very wide, while the time available is very limited. This has been an obstacle for elementary school teachers in achieving the learning objectives. This study aimed to determine whether the application of Mind Mapping learning model on the activities of students learning and the mastery of students learning of IPS. This action research was conducted with three cycles involving 30 students of the fifth grade of elementary school in Kabupaten Kudus. The findings were analyzed using the descriptive qualitative study. The data were collected by using a questionnaires, observation sheets, pretest, and posttest. The results showed that the Learning Model of Mind Mapping can improve the students activity. This indicated an increase in the average score of the class activity to 48.2% in the first cycle, to 56.1% in the second cycle, and to 62.2% in cycle III. The average of the student learning outcomes for IPS also increased from 64 in the first cycle, to 67 in the second cycle, and to 75 in cycles III.   Materi IPS di Sekolah Dasar memiliki cakupan materi yang sangat luas, sedangkan waktu yang tersedia sangat terbatas. Hal ini menjadi kendala bagi guru-guru Sekolah Dasar dalam mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Mind Mapping dapat meningkatkan aktifitas siswa dalam belajar. Penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri atas 3 siklus dan sampelnya adalah siswa kelas V SD Kabupaten Kudus yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Hasil penelitian dianalisa secara deskriptif kualitatif. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara menggunakan angket, lembar observasi, pre-tes dan posttes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Model Pembelajaran Mind Mapping dapat meningkatkan aktifitas siswa. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan adanya peningkatan skor rata-rata aktifitas kelas yaitu dari 48,2% pada siklus I, 56,1% pada siklus II, dan 62,2% pada siklus yang ke III. Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa untuk mata pelajaran IPS juga meningkat dari 64 pada siklus I, menjadi 67 pada siklus II, dan 75 pada siklus ke III.

The purpose of the development research is to produce a textbook on the development of Beginning Reading and Writing skills by using the VARK (Visual, Auditory, Read-Write, Kinesthetic) model in the practical grade I class. The development is based on the 4D (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) models that emphasize the contextual user needs (teachers and learners), resulting in a draft of the Beginning Reading and Writing skills development package using the VARK model in class I elementary school , which contains the identification of competency standards and basic competencies, identification of indicators, identification of learning objectives. The results of the trial of practicality demonstrate that the textbook of Reading and Writing Beginnings by using VARK model in class I elementary school is practical and feasible to be used by grade 1 elementary school teachers.  Keywords: Beginning Reading and Writing skills, VARK model, Elementary School

The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of poetry reading literacy in elementary schools. The approach used is qualitative and quantitative. The subjects of this study were 22 Silaing Bawah Public Elementary School teachers and 22 Silaing Bawah Public Elementary School teachers. Based on the ability to read poetry obtained the average value of the results of the pre-test reading poetry evaluation of the teachers of SD Negeri 07 Silaing Bawah and SD Negeri 08 Silaing Bawah is 68.33 and is in a pretty good qualification. Whereas the average results of the reading poetry reading the evaluation of the teachers of SD Negeri 07 Silaing Bawah and SD Negeri 08 Silaing Bawah after the training was 78.58 and were in good qualifications. Thus it can be seen that the implementation of poetry reading literacy can improve the ability to read the poetry of the teachers of SD Negeri 07 Silaing Bawah and SD Negeri 08 Silaing Bawah.

Elementary school teachers in Indonesia are required to master many subjects to be taught to their students. It is undeniable that the teachers’ mastery of knowledge (material) in some subjects inadequate. Therefore, it is worth to argue that there was a misconception in mathematics teaching in elementary schools. This research was designed using a qualitative approach. The participants of this study were 30 elementary school teachers in Semarang city area, Central Java province, Indonesia. The research data were obtained through questionnaires, and interviews. The purpose of the study was to discuss the types and causes of the misconception of mathematics teaching in elementary schools. Alternative solutions were also presented to problem-solving so that misconceptions do not occur anymore in mathematics teaching. The findings show that, teachers evenly experience types of misconceptions: (1) pre-conception, (2) under-generalization, (3) over-generalization, (4) modelling error, (5) prototyping error; and (6) process-object error in teaching mathematics in elementary schools. Some misconceptions have taken root and are difficult to remove, called "ontological misconceptions" because of teachers' years of belief that the knowledge they received was true when in fact it was not quite right.

The application of character learning to elementary mathematics requires certain techniques. In the mathematics of elementary school teachers should use abstract media. Problems that arise in elementary school mathematics teacher in Kecamatan Negeri Katon is lack of knowledge in using props, in this case on FPB material and KPK. In addition, teachers are still confused in choosing the props that should be used on every learning material. To overcome this is used DAKOTA props that can facilitate students' understanding in learning FPB and KPK materials. The method used in this devotion is the making of DAKOTA props using rigid boards. From the results of this devotion activity obtained the spirit of mathematics teachers and the emergence of ideas to make props on other learning materials.

The background of this research is the lack of interest of students in writing poetry. This study aims to describe poetry writing skills using Audio Visual Media of Class V Elementary School 03 Sikumpa Bukik, Lareh Sago Halaban Subdistrict, Lima Puluh Kota Regency based on the selection of diction, majas and suitability of content with the theme. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive method. The number of samples in this study were 22 students. This research data tests the performance of poetry writing skills. Data analysis is done by: checking work results and giving scores, changing scores to grades, looking for averages, classifying poetry writing skills using a scale of 10, and concluding. Based on the results of the study concluded that the average value of poetry writing skills using audio visual media is 78.45 with good qualifications. Judging from the aspect of diction, the average value is 48.86 with almost enough qualifications. Judging from the aspect of majors the average value is 87.45 with excellent qualifications. Judging from the aspect of conformity the content with the theme the average value is 100 with perfect qualifications. So, students are quite skilled in writing poetry using audio visual media.

This paper aims to describe the language skills of Indonesian language mastered by the elementary school teachers in Pontianak based on the linguistic component in the language test. The skill level was based on the result of UKBI Training Series conducted for elementary school teachers in 2018. The descriptive method is used to present the results of data analysis. Based on the results of the discussion, it was found that the Indonesian language skill of the elementary school teachers in Pontianak was at the level of Very Advanced, Advanced, Upper Intermediate, Intermediate and Elementary. The majority of these teachers were at the Upper Intermediate level, while the minority was at the Elementary level. In addition, it was also found that the elementary school teachers in Pontianak City got the highest score in the section of Understanding the Reading. In contrast, teachers who were graded Very Advanced got the highest score on the section of Responding the Grammar. However, in contrast to the highest score on the linguistic component, most elementary school teachers in Pontianak got the highest score in the section of Understanding the Reading. This can be seen from the frequency of high scores for that section at every rank.

Misconceptions of teaching mathematics in elementary schools often occur, not only to students but also experienced by teachers. Elementary school teachers are required to master many subjects where not all learning material (one of them mathematics) can be mastered by the teacher well. An elementary school teacher may be proficient in the field of language, but on the other hand is weak in the field of mathematics. So that it should be suspected, one of the causes of misconception in students is the teacher. Therefore, through a qualitative research approach, the types and causes of misconceptions in mathematics learning in elementary schools will be revealed by teachers. Research data was revealed through questionnaires and interviews.  The findings show that there have been "type misconceptions: pre-conception, undegenneralization, and modeling error" that are stable, permanent and rooted in mathematics teaching in elementary schools

Abstract:. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of Project Based Learning (PjBL) of writing skills on Science teaching materials to elementary school teachers candidates.This research used experimental methods (single-one group pretest-posttest design) with instruments such as portofolio assessment sheets, observation sheets, and  questionnaire sheets .The effectiveness of analyzing used n-gain and t-test .The subject of this research is elementary school teachers candidates who contracted “Science Learning”subject  in a program study teacher education of elementary school at University Muhammadiyah Cirebon. The findings of this study has produced a contextual book for Science teaching material. In addition, there is an increased of elementary school teachers candidates who prepared the teaching materials in a printed form relevant to the needs and characters of the students as well as the curriculum. It is proven by assessments that the ability rose significantly from 2,71 (category  is adequate skill) to 3,83 (category is skilled) and supported by the n-gain value  at 0,87. Based on the t-test count of 8,050 larger than t-table 2,045. Recommendations from this research is that PjBL as a learning model could become one of the alternative learning models to improve writing skills material for elementary school teachers candidates.Keyword: Project-Based-Learning, science-materials-teaching, elementary-schoo-teachers- candidates. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis efektivitas Project Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap keterampilan menulis bahan ajar IPA Calon Guru SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen (Single-One Group Pretest-Posttest Design) dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa lembar penilaian portofolio, lembar observasi, dan lembar angket. Efektivitas dianalisis menggunakan n-gain dan uji T. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa calon guru yang mengontrak matakuliah Pembelajaran IPA di Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) Universitas Muhammadiyah Cirebon. Temuan penelitian ini telah menghasilkan buku ajar cetak IPA yang kontekstual. Selain itu, keterampilan calon guru dalam menyusun bahan ajar cetak yang relevan dengan kebutuhan dan karakter siswa serta kurikulum yang berlaku juga meningkat. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil penilaian yang meningkat signifikan dari 2,71 (kategori cukup terampil) menjadi 3,83 (kategori terampil) serta didukung oleh hasil n-Gain yang tinggi yaitu 0,87. Selain itu berdasarkan uji T diketahui bahwa t hitung sebesar 8,050 lebih besar dari t tabel yaitu 2,045. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini model PjBL dapat dijadikan salah satu alternatif model pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis bahan ajar mahasiswa calon guru SD.Kata Kunci: Project-Based-Learning, Bahan Ajar IPA, Calon Guru SD.
