ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was categorized into three. First, to describe the text writing skills of the experimental class persuasion students. Second, to describe the text writing skills of the control class students' persuasion. Third, to describe the influence of the cooperative learning which was Think Talk Write (TTW) model assisted by audiovisual media in writing skill related to the persuasive text of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 8 Padang. The type of study was quantitative with quasi-experimental research. The design of this study was static by two groups. The population in this study was VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Padang who were enrolled in 2018/2019 academic year about 252 students. The sample in this study was 64 students that consist of two classes, namely class VIII A as the experimental class and class VIII D as the control class that was taken by using purposive random sampling technique. There were several results of this study. They were: First, persuasive text writing skill of the experimental class students was in the category Very Good (BS) with an average score of 85.94. Second, persuasive text writing skill of control class students was in the category Good (B) with an average score of 76.82. Third, the working hypothesis (H_1) was received at the level of α = 0.05 and degrees of freedom (dk) = (n1 + n2) -2 because of tcount>ttable, which is 4.23> 1.70. In other words, the use of model cooperative learning type Think Talk Write assisted by audiovisual media has a significant effect on the persuasive writing skills of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 8 Padang. Therefore, the cooperative learning type Think Talk Write (TTW) model could be used as an alternative in learning persuasive text writing skill at the junior secondary level. ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is as follows. First, describe reading skills in understanding the exposition text of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 28 Padang. Second, describe the writing skills of exposition text of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 28 Padang. Third, analyze the correlation of reading skills understanding exposition text and exposition text writing skills of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 28 Padang. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive methods. Research design is correlational research. The sample of this study amounted to 40 people. The sampling technique in this study was simple random sampling. The instruments used in this study are objective tests for reading skills in understanding exposition text and performance tests for text writing skills exposition. Data were analyzed by percentage formula, formula for calculating average, normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test. The results of this study are the following three things. First, the reading skills of understanding the exposition text of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 28 Padang were of good quality, with an average score of 77.64. Secondly, the writing skills of exposition text of grade VIII students of Padang Public Middle School 28 are more than qualified, with an average value of 73.38 below the KKM (75). Third, there is a positive and significant relationship between reading skills understanding exposition text and exposition text writing skills of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 28 Padang at a significant level of 0.05 and degrees of freedom (dk) = n-1 because t count> ttable is 6.70> 1, 68.  Kata Kunci: Korelasi, Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman Teks Eksposisi,                        Keterampilan Menulis Teks Eksposisi

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, describe the writing skills of exposition text of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang before using discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media. Second, describe the writing skills of exposition text of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang after using discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media. Third, describe the influence of discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media on writing exposition text skills of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. The sample in this study was class VIII.2 with 29 students. The results of this study are three, namely as follows. First, exposition text writing skills before using the discovery learning learning model assisted by audiovisual media of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang are in almost adequate qualifications with an average value of 53.45. Second, the skill of writing exposition text after using the discovery learning model assisted by audiovisual media of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang is in a qualification of more than enough with an average score of 70.11. Third, based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H_1) is received at a significant level of 95% and the degree of freedom (dk) = n-1 because of tcount> t table, which is 4.79> 1.70. This means that there is a significant influence on the use of discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media on the exposition writing skills of eighth grade students at SMP Negeri 25 Padang. Kata kunci: Pengaruh, Discovery Learning, Keterampilan Menulis Teks Eksposisi

The aim of this research was to reveal the influence of Think Pair Share cooperative learning model and initial ability on affective competence biology class VIII of SMPN 38 Sijunjung. This was a Quasi Experimental research which used 2 x 2 factorial design. The population of the research was the students in class VIII os SMPN 38 Sijunjung in academic year 2015/2016. By using saturated sampling technique, class VIII1 was chosen as the experimental class and class VIII2 was as the control class. Instrument used in this research is observation sheet filled by observer to see student affective competence. The results of the research revealed that Think Pair Share cooperative learning model exerted an influence upon affective competence of the students having either high or low initial ability.

The research is motivated by the following cases. First, students vocabulary deficiencies in writing so have difficulty in presenting ideas into a text. Second, the students do not understand about exposition text. Third, students difficult to differentiate exposition text with other text. Fourth, students difficult to develop ideas in writing, so that the resulting of their text is not in accordance with the idea that their think. Fifth, students difficult to write cohesion and coherence paragraphs. This type of this research is quantitative with correlation method. The population in this research is students of class X SMA Negeri 1 2x11 Enam Lingkung Padang Pariaman District with 281 students. In this research, the sampling technique is proportional random sampling with 27 students. In this research, there are two variables, are independent variable and the dependent variable. The independent variables are vocabulary mastery (X) and the dependent variable is the exposition text writing skills (Y). Conclusions of this research are as follows. First, vocabulary mastery of class X SMA Negeri 1 2x11 Enam Lingkung Padang Pariaman District with an average value of 73,17 which are in the category Lebih dari Cukup. Second, the writing skills exposition text of class X SMA Negeri 1 2x11 Enam Lingkung Padang Pariaman District with an average value of 70,98 which are in the category Lebih dari Cukup. Third, there is a relationship between the vocabulary mastery with writing skill exposition text of class X SMA Negeri 1 2x11 Enam Lingkung Padang Pariaman District because tcount>ttable. The conclusion of this research is the vocabulary mastery is a factors that influence significantly the writing ability exposition text of class X SMA Negeri 1 2x11 Enam Lingkung Padang Pariaman District.

This research objective is to find out the significant effect of the Snowball Throwing model with audiovisual media on the ability to write narrative text of UMN English Education Students of UMN Al-Washliyah. The research subjects were English Education FKIP students. There were about 22 students who participated in the research using a Quasi Experimental Design research approach. This study used a pretest and posttest control group design. Based on the statistical output, it is found that the average score for the improvement of students' narrative text writing skills or the mean for the control class is 0.19486 which belongs to the low increase category, while for the experimental class it is 0.36691 which belongs to the moderate improvement category. Thus, statistically and descriptively,  it can be said that there is a difference in the average score for the improvement of students' narrative text writing skills between the control class and the experimental class. Based on the Independent Samples Test output table in the Equal variances assumed section, the Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.008 which is smaller than 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the average value of the improvement in students' narrative text writing skills between the control class and the experimental class. Furthermore, the Mean Difference value obtained is -0.172041, which means that the difference between the average value of the increase in students' narrative text writing skills in the control class and the experimental class is 0.172041. From the description above, as a conclusion, learning with audiovisual based animation media is better at improving students' narrative text writing skills.

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, it describes the reading skills of news comprehension of VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Solok. Second, describe the news text writing skills. Third, describe the correlation of reading news comprehension with news writing skills. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive methods. The design used in this study is correlational design. The population of this study was students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Solok. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling 15% of the population. The data of this study were in the form of scores on the reading comprehension test results of news comprehension and scores on the results of writing news text skills. This research instrument is an objective test to measure reading comprehension skills of news and performance tests to measure news text writing skills. Three results of this study. First, the reading skills of news comprehension in good qualifications (B) with an average grade of 78.56. Secondly, news writing skills in good qualifications (B) with an average of 77.78. Third, there is a correlation between reading comprehension and news writing skills with news text with n-1 degrees of freedom at a 95% confidence level. T value (3.77) is greater than t table (1.72), that is tcount> t table (3.77> 1.72), thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted because the test results prove that tcount is greater than t table.    Kata kunci: Korelasi, Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman Berita, Keterampilan          menulis berita

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, describing the skill of writing fable texts of VII grade students of UPT SMP Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan before using discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media. Second, describing the skill of writing fable texts of VII grade students of UPT SMP Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan after using discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media. Third, describing the influence of discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media on fable text writing skills of seventh grade students of UPT SMP Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The design of this study was one group pretest and posttest design. The population in this study were 167 students. The sample in this study were 28 students who were determined using purposive sampling technique. The variable of this research is fable text writing skills before and after using the discovery learning learning model assisted by audiovisual media of VII grade students of UPT SMP Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan. The instrument of this research is the performance test. The results of this study are three, namely as follows. First, fable text writing skills before using the discovery learning model assisted by audiovisual media of VII grade students of UPT SMP 1 Koto XI Tarusan are more than Sufficient (LdC) qualifications with an average of 72.62. Second, fable text writing skills after using the discovery learning model assisted by audiovisual media in seventh grade students of UPT SMP 1 Koto XI Tarusan are in a Good qualification (B) with an average of 81.25. Third, based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H_1) is received at a significant level of 95% and the degree of freedom (dk) = n-1 because of tcount> t table, which is 2.73> 1.70. Kata Kunci: pengaruh, model discovery learning, keterampilan menulis teks fabel.

This research aims to determine the influence of students’ learning motivation using the Treffinger learning model and to determine the influence of students’ creative thinking skills using the Treffinger learning model. This research was conducted at SMPN 2 Jati Agung, South Lampung. The research method used was quasi-experimental. In taking the sample in this study using a purposive sampling technique, with class VIII A as an experimental class and class VIII B as a control class. The instruments in this research used learning motivation questionnaires and essay tests on creative thinking skills. Research results obtained using the t-test revealed the average score of the students’ learning motivation questionnaire in the experimental class is 87.6 and in the control class is 80.0, so that a score of tcount > ttable (6.019 > 1.996), and the average posttest score of students’ creative thinking skills in the experimental class is 80.3 and in the control class is 61.0, so that the score of tcount > ttable (7.589 > 1.996). It was concluded that there was an influence of Treffinger's learning model on the sound subject on students’ learning motivation and students’ creative thinking skills.

ABSTRACT Research purposes. First, describe students' reading comprehension skills. Second, describe the skills of writing Description text. Third, describe the correlation between reading comprehension skills and text writing skills Description of Grade VII students of the UNP Laboratory Development Middle School. This type of quantitative research is a correlational method. The study design was correlational two variables. The research population of VII grade students of SMP UNP Laboratory Development registered in the academic year 2019/2020 total 142 students in five classes. The sample in the study was 37 people. Samples were taken by simple 25% random technique using proportional random sampling technique. The research instruments were performance tests, description writing text tests and objective reading comprehension skills tests. Conclusion. First, students' reading comprehension skills are in good qualifications (78.98). Second, the students' written text description skills are in good qualifications (83,12). Third, reading comprehension skills correlate with text writing skills Description of VII graders of SMP UNP Laboratory Development with degrees of freedom n-2 at 95% confidence level. T value is greater than t table that is 2.637> 1.68, thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted because the test results prove that t count is greater than t table. the conclusion "There is a correlation between reading comprehension skills and writing skills text. Description of Grade VII students of SMP UNP Laboratory Development" was accepted. This research aims to determine the effect of Think Talk Write (TTW) cooperative learning model towards the ability of mathematics problem solving of grade XI MIA SMA NW Mataram academic year 2019/2020. Type of the research is a quasi-experimental design with a posttest only control design. The population of the research is all students grade XI MIA SMA NW Mataram academic year 2019/2020. The sampling technique was saturated sampling tecnique, so the sample obtained that XI MIA 1 as the experimental class and XI MIA 2 as the controlling class. The instrument used was a test of the students learning achievement (post-test) on the sequence and series  material. Quantitave analysis obtained by using t-test. The result of this research showed that there is a difference in the average score of students who get learning use the Think Talk Write (TTW) cooperative learning models with students who use direct learning. Meanwhile the effect of Think Talk Write (TTW) cooperative learning model towards the ability of mathematics problem solving of using the effect size with moderate category. This means that the Think Talk Write (TTW) type of cooperative learning models is quite influential on the mathematics problem solving ability of grade XI MIA SMA NW Mataram.
