This research is qualitative descriptive research which aims to describe ninth grade students' cognitive abilities in solving the problem of two-variable linear equations (PLDV) through Solo Taxonomy. The techniques of data collection were tests, interviews, and documentation. The credibility of the data in this research is guaranteed using the triangulation method. The results of this research, based on five levels of Solo Taxonomy, show the students' understanding and problem-solving abilities based on their cognitive abilities. In this case, the subject of high cognitive ability (DW) was able to reach five levels of the Solo Taxonomy and the subject of moderate cognitive ability (RN) was able to reach three levels of the Solo Taxonomy. So that it can be said that the two subjects were able to understand and solve the problem of two-variable linear equations (PLDV). The subject of low cognitive ability (AB) was able to reach one level of Solo Taxonomy so that it can be said that the subject has not been able to understand and solve PLDV problems.

The article is devoted to the role of increase of junior schoolchildren’s cognitive activity as an important condition for the development of cognitive abilities of  learners.  Psycho-pedagogical  support  should  be  focused  on  the  development of cognitive functions of junior schoolchildren, and psychologists and parents should be involved in this process, as well as the teachers. Traditionally, psycho-pedagogical support at primary school focuses on the child's adaptation to the new educational environment.  We  consider  that  a  child  needs  the  same  support  in  the  process of mastering  the  curriculum.  There  is  no  true  support  without  an  emotional involvement and empathy, and as a result cognitive activity of a child might suffer greatly. It was proven by empirical results obtained in an ordinary school, where no innovative teaching methods are used. At the end of primary school pupils have a significantly reduced motivation, teachers express no serious interest in problems of junior high school students. Not entirely satisfactory educational environment also could not provide a positive influence on the development of cognitive sphere.

<span>this research is a descriptive research with qualitative approach as it is meant to describe question submission of Junior High School students seen from cognitive style, namely; fast-accurate style cognitive style and slow-inaccurate style. The data collection method used in this research are test and interview. The data credibility is then tested through triangulation of time. the result shows that the description of question submission submitted by subject of fast-accurate are; most of the questions submitted are mathematical questions except few of them are not, the questions submitted by the subject are varied, most of the questions submitted are from visual information, all questions submitted can be solved, the questions submitted by the fast-accurate subject are balance between medium and high difficulty, the solution of all questions submitted are correct. The submission of questions done by slow-inaccurate group are: most of the questions submitted by slow-inaccurate group are mathematical questions except one, the questions submitted are varied, the questions submitted from visual and verbal information are balance where 6 questions are from visual and the other 6 are from verbal, most of the questions can be solved except one, most of the questions are in medium level of difficulty, most of the questions can be solved correctly except question number 9 which can be solved as the information given are not enough to solve the problem.</span>

The ability of mathematical communication is contained in the curriculum and objectives of mathematics learning. Through mathematical communication is expected to improve students abilities of mathematical concepts. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of mathematical communication ability of junior high school students on the material system of two linear equations. This research is a descriptive research with qualitative approach. The study time was held in the even semester of the academic year 2017/2018. The subjects of the study were students of SMP class VIII in Cimahi city as many as 33 students. Data collection methods used are test methods, observation and documentation. Based on the results of data analysis showed the students mathematical communication ability of SMP on linear equation system two variables were obtained: (1) students ability in reflecting real objects, drawings and diagrams into mathematics idea with percentage of 81,08%; (2) students ability to explain ideas, situations and mathematical relations both orally and in writing using real objects, images, graphs and algebraic expressions with percentage of 33,33%; (3) the ability of students to declare daily events in language or mathematical symbols or to construct an event mathematical model of 18.18%; (4) students ability in explaining and making math questions studied for 7.58% and (5) students ability in making conjectures, formulating arguments, formulating definitions and generalizations of 7.58%.

ABSTRACTThis study aims to obtain the information about the students perspectives of SMP Negeri against NOS (Nature of Science) in Pati regency. The subject of the study are 339 of 8th grade students from SMP Negeri 16 in Pati District. The instrument of data collection is a test description which consist of analysis based on seven aspects of NOS with 7 questions that have developed by researcher. The result shows the understanding of NOS in 8th grade junior high school students in Pati District classified as “poor” with score 39.12% in general. The implication of this research is the new knowledge that NOS aspect should be taught in schools explicitly so students can understand NOS well. Keywords: Nature of Science (NOS), perspective, students SMP Negeri in Pati regency.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai perspektif siswa SMP Negeri terhadap NOS (Nature of Science) di Kabupaten Pati. Subjek penelitian yang digunakan adalah 339 siswa kelas VIII dari 16 SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Pati. Instrumen pengumpulan data adalah tes uraian berupa analisis berdasarkan 7 aspek NOS berjumlah 7 soal yang telah dikembangkan peneliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum perspektif NOS pada siswa SMP di Kabupaten Pati tergolong kurang yaitu hanya 39,12%. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pengetahuan tentang aspek NOS seharusnya diajarkan di sekolah-sekolah secara eksplisit sehingga siswa dapat memahami NOS dengan baik.Kata kunci: Nature of Science (NOS), perspektif, siswa SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Pati.

This research is designed in the form of research and development (R & D). It aims to develop an English Textbook for Junior High School students based on Social - Cultural of Ngada Flores. The Textbook is designed to include the cultural scope of Ngada Flores in the teaching materials. The subject matter is theme-based, in which each unit consists of themes drawn from the culturalcoverageofNgadaFlores. The learning model used in this development is the Dick & Carey model, this model has ten strategic steps that is; (1) identify the general objectives of the learning, (2) carry out the learning analysis (3) identify the input behavior and characteristics of the students (4) formulate the objectives of the work (5) develop the benchmark   reference materials (6) develop the learning strategy (7) and selecting learning materials (8) designing and executing formative evaluations (9) revising learning materials and (10) designing and executing summative evaluations. The result of study, in general, the comments and suggestions from the content experts stated that the development product of socio cultural-based English textbook provided with pictures and illustration was sufficient, taking it from the correctness, comprehensiveness, and accuracy aspects. The explanation on the learning content was self-explanatory, adequate disclosure and congruent, and significance to the characteristics of SMP students. The students’ assessment and comments described that they were interested and appreciated this textbook development product due to its representative content description, organized, relevance with the local culture, using simple and familiar language with attractive pictures that enhanced their motivation and curiousity in learning individually or in group.

THE IMPLEMENTATION OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL TEAM ASSISTED INDIVIDUALIZATION IN LEARNING FIQH AT THE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS OF 06 BANYUTENGAH, Essay: Faculty of Islamic Religious Education of Muhammadiyah Gresik University, 2016. The purpose of this thorough is the low interest in learning and lack of cooperation each other in the class so that make the state of the class is not condusive, to solve the problem doing this research to know the implementation of the Team Asssisted individualizataion process, the obstacles of that faced, and the effort will be undertaken for reach the purpose. This research was conducted at the Junior High school of Muhammadiyah 06 Banyutengah. The subject of the research is student in grade VIII the school years of 2016/2017 with the number of student 21. The data collected in the form of Observation result, interview and documentation. Data analysis techniques used is perform data reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions. The result of this study obstacles encountered in the application of cooperative learning models of the Team Assisted Individualization is influential in the less maximal application of this model, however with thw effort of teachers, the learning process can run well in the line expectations.

This research aims to develop devices based science learning biology teaching model in an effort to teach the meaning of science and foster moral sensitivity on the subject of human respiratory system. This study was classified as research development , ie developing syllabus , lesson plans , worksheets , BAS , and THB . Follow the development of the design of the 4- D models of Thiagarajan (1974 ) followed by the implementation phase of learning in the classroom using a pretest - posttest design. Device developed then validated by experts and tested first at 10 eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Tarik. The results showed the validity of the RPP , BAS , and worksheets categorized very well , and the validity of test questions categorized invalid and valid enough. Readability level device includes worksheets for BAS and 77,2 % to the category of material is too easy , and a description of the difficulties include BAS and LKS was 22,1 % with a fairly easy category . The success of RPP during three meetings very well categorized ; activity levels of students categorized quite active ; better student learning outcomes tests of cognitive abilities , processes , psychomotor and moral sensitivity tests considered complete . Barriers in the PBM especially low student motivation in participating in learning .Based on the analysis of data, it can be concluded that the biology-based science learning learning model of meaning on the subject of the human respiratory system is able to teach science and junior high school students growing moral sensitivity. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA Biologi berbasis model pembelajaran pemaknaan sebagai upaya mengajarkan IPA dan menumbuhkan sensitivitas moral pada pokok bahasan Sistem Pernapasan Manusia. Penelitian initergolong penelitian pengembangan, yaitu mengembangkan Silabus, RPP, LKS, BAS, dan THB. Pengembangan perangkat mengikuti rancangan 4-D  model dari Thiagarajan (1974) dilanjutkan dengan tahap pelaksanaan pembelajaran di kelas menggunakan rancangan pretest-posttest design. Perangkat yang dikembangkan kemudian divalidasi oleh pakar dan diuji coba I pada 10 siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tarik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan validitas RPP, BAS, dan LKS berkategori baik; dan validitas soal tes berkategori valid. Tingkat keterbacaan perangkat meliputi BAS dan LKS sebesar 77,2% dengan kategori materi mudah; dan deskripsi kesulitan perangkat meliputi BAS dan LKS sebesar 22,1% dengan kategori tidak sulit. Keterlaksanaan RPP selama tiga kali pertemuan berkategori sangat baik; tingkat aktivitas siswa berkategori cukup aktif; hasil tes belajar siswa baik kemampuan kognitif, proses, psikomotor dan tes sensitivitas moral berhasil melampaui KKM yang ditetapkan. Hambatan dalam  PBM terutama siswa belum terbiasa dengan model pembelajaran pemaknaan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA Biologi berbasis model pembelajaran pemaknaan pada  pokok bahasan sistem pernapasan manusia efektif membelajarkan IPA dan menumbuhkan sensitivitas moral siswa SMP.

Abstract. This study aims to describe the thinking process of students at the extended abstract level. The descriptive method used in this research is a qualitative approach. The instruments in this study included written test sheets and interview guides. Data analysis techniques used data collection, data reduction, display data, and concluding. The research subjects were two students who had reached the Extended abstract level on the SOLO taxonomy. The results of this study show that students at the extended abstract taxonomy level SOLO can understand the use of variables as generalizations of a number. Still, the majority representation component has not reached the representation indicator by making mathematical modeling in the form of an equation so that they cannot make a hypothesis or prediction in solving the problem related to algebra.   Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses berpikir siswa pada level Extended Abstract. Metode deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Instrumen pada penelitian ini meliputi lembar tes tertulis dan pedoman wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Subyek penelitian merupakan siswa yang telah mencapai level extended abstract pada taksonomi SOLO yang diambil secara purposif sebanyak 2 siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini diketahui bahwa siswa pada level extended abstract taksonomi SOLO dapat memahami penggunaan variabel sebagai generalisasi suatu bilangan akan tetapi pada komponen representasi mayoritas belum mencapai indikator representasi dengan membuat pemodelan matematis berupa suatu persamaan sehingga tidak dapat membuat suatu hipotesa atau prediksi dalam penyelesaian masalah yang berkaitan dengan aljabar.
