The analysis and identification of figurative language is one of the largest research areas in cognitive linguistics, and metaphor is one of these tropes. Focusing on the genre of TV advertising, a structural method for the identification of metaphorical components used in films in a cross-modal fashion is developed in the present paper. A corpus of 11 TV commercials is analyzed under seven steps that guide analysts from the content description of the multimodal materials to the concrete identification of metaphorical elements. This research presents the Filmic Metaphor Identification Procedure (FILMIP, Bort-Mir 2019) as a tool for the identification of metaphorically used filmic components in multimodal filmic materials. More concretely, the paper presents the application of the procedure to two TV commercials from different perfume brands. FILMIP offers a valuable contribution not only to metaphor scholars but also to researchers focused on other fields of study such as multimodality, discourse analysis, communication, branding, or even film theory.

The paper describes methods of formation and presentation of digital objects of various types (printed publications, archival materials, museum objects, audio and video materials) for the Digital Library “Scientific Heritage of Russia”. A digital publishing hardware and software system has been created within the framework of the digital library project. The digital publishing hardware and software system consists of five subsystems: dispatching subsystem, content description subsystem, digitization subsystem, generating digital publications subsystem and content control and storage subsystem. Dispatching subsystem organizes the work on content creation. Content description subsystem describes objects of the digital library. Digitization subsystem produces digital copies of library items, archival and museum objects. Digital publications subsystem creates the final products: digital books, 3D models, etc. Content control subsystem controls the quality of the scanned books and metadata.

Abstract: Any story or any other literary content is best understood and advertised with the help of pictures. Images are used to arouse reader’s interest and comprehension in the content. The contextual image illustrator will take any content description and will output the ranked images related to that content. The text can be any blog, newspaper article, any story or any other content. The image retrieval process that has been used for this purpose is Text based Image Retrieval, i.e., TBIR. Semantic keywords are extricated from the story; images are looked through an annotated database. Thereafter, an image ranking scheme will determine the relevance of each image. Then the user can choose among the images displayed. A score along with each image will also be displayed representing its relevance to the query. The keywords stemming and stop word removal has been explained in the document. Also, the algorithm that has been designed to determine the score and hence the image’s significance has been calculated. Testing consisting of both unit testing and module testing of the project are explained. Keywords: Keyword Extraction, Image Search, Stemming, Stop word Removal, URL Score, URL Ranking

In the software development process, many developers learn from code snippets in the open-source community to implement specific functions. However, few people think about whether these code have vulnerabilities, which provides channels for developing unsafe programs. To this end, this paper constructs a source code snippets vulnerability mining system named PyVul based on deep learning to automatically detect the security of code snippets in the open source community. PyVul builds abstract syntax tree (AST) for the source code to extract its code feature, and then introduces the bidirectional long-term short-term memory (BiLSTM) neural network algorithm to detect vulnerability codes. If it is unsafe code, the further constructed a multi-classification model could analyze the context discussion contents in associated threads, to classify the code vulnerability type based the content description. Compared with traditional detection methods, this method can identify unsafe code and classify vulnerability type. The accuracy of the proposed model can reach 85%. PyVul also found 138 vulnerable code snippets in the real public open-source community. In the future, it can be used in the open-source community for vulnerable code auditing to assist users in safe development.

Since the rise of mass fundraising platforms, they are offered to entrepreneurs and teams with innovative ideas. Under this trend, more and more start-ups and scholars pay attention to and study the factors that contribute to the success of mass fundraising. On the mass fundraising platform, people from different countries and different cultural backgrounds perceive the creativity of project products according to their personal preferences, and then make sponsorship decisions. In recent years, pro-social activities are not limited to large non-profit groups or organizations. More and more pro-social fundraising projects with public welfare nature are springing up, and more and more entrepreneurs mention pro-social keywords in the content description of the project, as a way to determine the degree of pro-sociality. In this study, 312 valid questionnaires are collected from the general public in Fujian Province, and each questionnaire represents the valid sample of this study. The results are as follows: 1. Environmental friendliness has a significant impact on the success of fundraising. 2. Creativity has a significant impact on the success of fundraising. 3. Socialization has a significant impact on the success of fundraising. According to the results, some suggestions are put forward, which are expected to help product design effectively convey the concepts of environmental friendliness, creativity and pro-sociality to more people through specific ways, so as to promote the success of sponsorship.

Abstract Background: Three-dimensional (3D) technologies have numerous medical applications and have gained a lot of interest in medical world. After the advent of three-dimensional printing technology, and especially in last decade, orthopedic surgeons began to apply this innovative technology in almost all areas of orthopedic traumatic surgery. Objective: The aim of this paper is to give an overview of 3D technologies current usage in orthopedic surgery for patient specific applications. Methods: Two major databases PubMed and Web of Science were explored for content description and applications of 3D technologies in orthopedic surgery. It was considered papers presenting controlled studies and series of cases that include descriptions of 3D technologies compatible with applications to human medical purposes. Results: First it is presented the available three-dimensional technologies that can be used in orthopedic surgery as well as methods of integration in order to achieve the desired medical application for patient specific orthopedics. Technology starts with medical images acquisition, followed by design, numerical simulation, and printing. Then it is described the state of the art clinical applications of 3D technologies in orthopedics, by selecting the latest reported articles in medical literature. It is focused on preoperative visualization and planning, trauma, injuries, elective orthopedic surgery, guides and customized surgical instrumentation, implants, orthopedic fixators, orthoses and prostheses. Conclusion: The new 3D digital technologies are revolutionizing orthopedic clinical practices. The vast potential of 3D technologies is increasingly used in clinical practice. These technologies provide useful tools for clinical environment: accurate preoperative planning for cases of complex trauma and elective cases, personalized surgical instruments and personalized implants. There is a need to further explore the vast potential of 3D technologies in many other areas of orthopedics and to accommodate healthcare professionals with these technologies, as well as to study their effectiveness compared to conventional methods.

Abstract: The background behind this research on the development of teaching materials to write short stories using the vehicle transfer method is the result of a needs analysis conducted by researchers by observing learning activities in class, as well as interviews with one of the Indonesian Language teachers and class XI students at SMAN 1 Tumpang, Malang Regency. Based on the results of observations and interviews that have been conducted, the researcher found that the activities in the classroom still tend to be monotonous and students find it difficult to find short story ideas so that the themes developed are less varied. The purpose of this research development is to produce teaching materials to write short stories using the vehicle transfer method by referring to the content description, systematic, linguistic, and appearance that is appropriate for learning. This study uses the ADDIE development model. ADDIE development procedures consist of (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. Based on the results of the feasibility test, this teaching material product received an average score of 90.05% which has product criteria that are very feasible to be implemented in learning activities.
