Abstract Objectives The objective of this study was to establish the reliability and content validity of the “Modified Naranjo Criteria for Homeopathy—Causal Attribution Inventory” as a tool for attributing a causal relationship between the homeopathic intervention and outcome in clinical case reports. Methods Purposive sampling was adopted for the selection of information-rich case reports using pre-defined criteria. Eligible case reports had to fulfil a minimum of nine items of the CARE Clinical Case Reporting Guideline checklist and a minimum of three of the homeopathic HOM-CASE CARE extension items. The Modified Naranjo Criteria for Homeopathy Inventory consists of 10 domains. Inter-rater agreement in the scoring of these domains was determined by calculating the percentage agreement and kappa (κ) values. A κ greater than 0.4, indicating fair agreement between raters, in conjunction with the absence of concerns regarding the face validity, was taken to indicate the validity of a given domain. Each domain was assessed by four raters for the selected case reports. Results Sixty case reports met the inclusion criteria. Inter-rater agreement/concordance per domain was “perfect” for domains 1 (100%, κ = 1.00) and 2 (100%, κ = 1.00); “almost perfect” for domain 8 (97.5%, κ = 0.86); “substantial” for domains 3 (96.7%, κ = 0.80) and 5 (91.1%, κ = 0.70); “moderate” for domains 4 (83.3%, κ = 0.60), 7 (67.8%, κ = 0.46) and 9 (99.2%, κ = 0.50); and “fair” for domain 10 (56.1%, κ = 0.38). For domains 6A (46.7%, κ = 0.03) and 6B (50.3%, κ = 0.18), there was “slight agreement” only. Thus, the validity of the Modified Naranjo Criteria for Homeopathy tool was established for each of its domains, except for the two that pertain to direction of cure (domains 6A and 6B). Conclusion The Modified Naranjo Criteria for Homeopathy—Causal Attribution Inventory was identified as a valid tool for assessing the likelihood of a causal relationship between a homeopathic intervention and clinical outcome. Improved wordings for several criteria have been proposed for the assessment tool, under the new acronym “MONARCH”. Further assessment of two MONARCH domains is required.

Attar believes that some health standards and different hygienic methods should be taught to children. Although teaching the methods of healthcare and well-being is among the necessities of life, child’s understanding and intelligence should not be ignored. There is no doubt that religious give great importance to health issues and even emphasize that they should be taught to children. Dealing with appearance causes that their truth-seeking spirit is misled. Accordingly, Sufism recommends people to abandon appearance and deal with the interior. In the stages of growth, child’s mental images are related to sensory issues. He gradually understands lighting, heating and other things that are exposed to his senses and realizes their differences. Formation of mental images and attention to their differences are related to the growth and complexity of the child’s nerves and experience. Affection and kindness to children is desirable. But parents and educators should know that going to extremes in this case is harmful. Attar believes that loving the children excessively causes that he is brought up as a weak and powerless person and loses his self-confidence. So, he shows weakness in the face of problems. But if he is educated with moderation, he will act accordingly. Too much attention to children makes them timid. Treating the children with justice and fairness is one of the Divine attributes. According to Attar, parents should not discriminate between their children and should deal with them justly in all aspects just as you like to be treated with justice in all situations. In many educational books, it is said that the apparent treatment of parents with children may vary according to their age and gender and this is difference rather than discrimination. Attar states that we should act carefully and accurately. These differences should not make parents not act fairly in loving children, but they should justify the children that if they were in such a situation, they would receive the same treatment. Discrimination and injustice in the family, whether tangible or intangible, cause that children feel contempt and become alienated from their family and education.

AbstractSoutheast Asian sources that report regional connection with the Majapahit and Angkor polities reflect upon a rapidly changing fourteenth and fifteenth century world order, the result of new trading opportunities as Europeans were becoming more direct participants in affairs beyond their Western home-lands. In the face of the individualistic and destructive tendencies of the wider global community circa 1500, in the Strait of Melaka region there was less dislocation and isolation than is supposed by many twentieth century scholars. Despite the number of political and religious transitions underway, in the Southeast Asian archipelago and mainland there was a sense of regional self-confidence and progress among societies who had enjoyed over two hundred years of widespread socio-economic success. These successes were the product of the functional international, regional, and local networks of communication, as well as a common heritage that had developed in the Strait of Melaka region during the pre-1500 era. This study not only addresses the role of Majapahit and Angkor in the shaping of regional inclusiveness circa 1500, but also explores the enduring (and often exclusive) legacy of these two early cultural centers among Southeast Asia's twentieth century polities.

Abstract. Adolescents with acne in physical appearance that doesn’t like the ideal appearance, is said that have confidence when he can accept realistically, still feel grateful and act positively while low confidence if these adolescents are not satisfied, embarrassed, disappointed, and rejected themselves. Acne vulgaris is the inflammation of the sebaceous follicles characterized by comedones, papules, pustules, cysts and nodules on the face, neck, upper trunk and upper arms. Acne is troubling because it is related to the degradation of self confidence due to the beauty of the face. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between the level of confidence with acne. This type of study is correlational with cross sectional approach. The subjects are SMAN 7 Manado students who have acnes with 90 respondents chosen by purposive sampling. Spearman Rank analysis techniques is used to.The results showed that the correlation coefficient between acne with confidence at -0.068, meaning the relationship between acne and confidence is negative which the closeness of the correlation is very weak (<0.20) so that it canbe said there is no significant relationship between confidence with acne (Sig = 0.523). It means, the physical appearance in this case the acne is not the only factor affecting confidence. Self-concept, experience, education is the internal factors and their parents, peers and the community are the external factors that can affect confidence. Respondents with high self confidence eventhough have acnes are not oriented on their physical appearance alone, , because they feel confident in the ability and potential for him in other things. Keywords: Adolescents, Confidence, Acne.

Eczema herpeticum is a chronic dermatosis with erosive and ulcerative lesions of the skin in children of a predominantly young age. The clinical case presented in this article shows the severe course of herpesvirus infection combined with atopic dermatitis in a 5-month infant. A rash in the form of vesicles and pustules throughout the body with a predominant localisation on the skin of the face, the scalp, neck, and chest was found in the course of the examination of the child. Influence of infections on the course of allergic processes is an ambiguous and complicated issue. It has been proved that an infection can contribute to the development of allergies and exacerbate the course of already existing allergic inflammation. In recent years, an increasing number of studies have shown the preventive effect of infection on the development of allergic pathology in children, especially during the first years of life.

Hemifacial Microsomia (HFM) is a term used to identify facial deformities associated with the development ofthe first and second pairs of branchial arches, characterized by underdevelopment of one half of the face. One typeof hemifacial microsomia is oculo-auriculo-vertebral dysplasia or Goldenhar syndrome. The incidence of HFM is 1:3500-1:7000 of live births and occurs in 1 case per 1000 children with congenitaldeafness. The ratio of boys to girls is 3:2. The etiology and type of inheritance is studied insufficiently. There are threepossible pathogenetic models: vascular abnormalities and hemorrhages in the craniofacial region, damage of Meckel'scartilage, and abnormal cell development of the cranial nerve crest. Environmental factors, maternal internal factors, and genetic factors (OTX2, PLCD3, and MYT1 mutations) may also cause the development of hemifacial microsomia. The article demonstrates a clinical case of hemifacial microsomia in a newborn boy from a mother with Z-21 inthe form of deformation of the left auricle with atresia of the auditory canal and "false" ears on the right, combinedwith congenital anomaly of heart (atrial septal defect) and brain (hypoplasia of the corpus callosum).Emphasis is placed on the need of involving a multidisciplinary team of specialists in the management of thispatient both in the neonatal period and in the system of subsequent follow-up.

Gengivectomia. Estética Dentária. Sorriso. Clareamento Dental. Abstract After the end of orthodontic treatment, patients become more rigorous with their appearance and worry about other aesthetic factors to ensure a harmonious smile. In addition to aligned and harmonious teeth, patients are looking for a whiter smile, becoming more and more rigorous with their appearance, leaving the dentist to meet these needs. Another factor that can impair smile aesthetics is the presence of short teeth, which results in an overexposure of the gum and a smile with a more childlike aspect, and that it is often perceived only at the end of orthodontic treatment. The aim of the present study was to review the aesthetic treatment of the smile after orthodontics, associating periodontal surgery to increase the clinical crown and tooth whitening. Aesthetics is the relationship between several factors. The gummy smile can be corrected by integrating several dental specialties, due to its numerous causes, and surgical, orthodontic or restorative procedures may be indicated. For tooth whitening, one of the techniques most indicated is dental bleaching, which consists of a minimally invasive procedure, indicated in most cases of extrinsic stains. The whitening can be made at home or in office, but in both cases, the dentist needs to master the technique. In this context, it is up to the orthodontist to identify and diagnose these needs of the patient and refer him to other specialists. In conclusion, a good anamnesis, a correct diagnosis and multidisciplinary case planning are essential to achieve the results expected by the patient. Therefore, the interrelationship between specialties is important in order to obtain satisfactory and pleasant results for the patient. Keywords: Periodontics, Gingivectomy, Esthetics, Smiling. IntroductionAccording to Angle's classification, a correct bite should have, inter alia, the following regularities: the median line of the face should coincide with the line between the central incisors of the upper and lower arches, the lower incisors should be overlapped by the incisal edges of the upper incisors, the top of the canine in the upper arch is inserted between the lower canine and the tangent premolar, each tooth is in contact with two opposing teeth, adjacent teeth both in the upper and lower arch are in contact with each other. Any deviation from these rules may indicate the presence of a malocclusion. We can distinguish here, for example: posteroclusion, open bite, retrusive occlusion, protrusive occlusion, supraclusion bite. They seem to be important not only in terms of functionality, but also psychology. Research shows that the correction of mandibular prognathism increases the level of self-confidence and self-acceptance, which may improve the quality of life of patients.Purpose of researchThe aim of the study was to check the quality of life of orthodontic and surgical patients as well as what factors motivate these people to start treatment in the area of the masticatory system.Material and methods208 people aged 18 to 55 participated in the survey. They were both people with malocclusion and no malocclusion, who constituted the control group. The questionnaire was created on the basis of standardized OQLQ and OHIP-14 questionnaires. It also included questions about the factors that motivate to start treatment in the masticatory system.ResultsThe most common malocclusion among the respondents was progenia (58.8%), followed by retrogenia (34.3%), then open bite (4%) and posteroclusion (2.9%). According to the OHIP-14 form, statistically significant (p <.0001) higher quality of life was seen in people without a masticatory organ defect, compared to people with the malocclusion. A statistically significant difference (p <.0001) between people with present or recent malocclusion (M = 54.29, SD = 16.71) and people without malocclusion (M = 31.93, SD = 18.31) was also visible in the study with using the OQLQ questionnaire.ConclusionsA malocclusion worsens the comfort and quality of life.Incorrect bite, face and smile aesthetics as well as psychological aspects are the most important factors motivating to undertake surgical and orthodontic treatment.Bruxism and facial pain are not factors prompting the initiation of treatment of malocclusion.
