During the covid 19 pandemic, online learning, and its terms are not strange things in East Nusa Tenggara. The establishment of Learning from home was started from March to June 2020 to prevent the spread of Covid-19. This research is a case study of eleven English teachers who serve in certain areas around East Nusa Tenggara; five teachers of Senior High School/Vocational School, five teachers of Junior High School, and one Elementary School teacher. Its purpose was to describe the methods in the English teaching-learning process in a pandemic situation. The data of this descriptive study were obtained through WhatsApp non-facial interviews and analyzed by reducing and categorizing similar results. The results showed that the teachers applied two methods, both offline and online.  From March to June 2020, the teachers managed their classes in the online process by using some applications. Whereas, in the Uneven Semester 2020-2021, the safe areas return to face-to-face learning in limited learning duration. The most prominent obstacle in online learning was the limitation of gadgets since the students did not have adequate tools. Financially, parents' income has decreased for they could not meet the needs of internet data packages. Students who returned to their hometown also experienced problems regarding network services. These conditions cause more obstacles to teachers in managing online classes. Therefore, teachers implemented several strategies to solve these obstacles by creating a WhatsApp group or arranging them into small groups based on their locations and there were students with smartphones to browse for materials or send the assignments. In addition, students were allowed to consult and collect the assignments at school based on scheduled agreements. The situation continues to Even Semester 2020-2021 and gradually turned to limited face-to-face meetings at school in the Uneven Semester 2021-2022.

The pandemic situation shifted the learning process from offline to online. It challenges the students in English learning, especially in learning their speaking ability. However, the students manipulated the strategies by utilizing online platforms or mobile phone applications accordingly to their learning experience. This study investigates students' language learning strategies and how the strategy is applied in learning speaking ability. The case study was carried out in a senior high school. The respondents are 64, who were chosen purposively to be involved in this study. The instruments of data collection were conducted by questionnaire and interview under Strategy Inventory for Language Learning. The results showed that 63 (95%) of students applied metacognitive strategies in the form of centering learning process, arranging, and planning learning strategies. Moreover, 61 or 91% of students used practicing, receiving, and sending messages of group cognitive strategies to motivate them to practice their speaking ability during online learning. Furthermore, less than 80% of social, memory, affective, and compensation. It recommended that the teacher be a facilitator by providing a good stimulus for the students to motivate themselves to be self-regulated

This study investigated English-learning strategies applied by an indigenous student in Amnat Charoen Province, in the Northeast of Thailand. Despite the lack of English exposure in the area, the participant, who was an English learner at a private primary school in Amnat Charoen Province, Thailand, had an excellent English ability. The data collection and analysis were done qualitatively through interviews and observations. Based on the interviews and observations, the participant was reported using both direct and indirect strategies in learning English. The dominant direct learning strategies were memory strategies and compensation strategies. The participant developed habits to summarize learning materials and use gestures to assist the speaking practice. Also, in the frame of indirect strategies, the participant applied social strategies more frequently than other indirect learning strategies. The social strategies were obviously noticeable in the consistency to practice English by interacting with foreign teachers. Further, the social learning strategies were also believed to be the most essential learning strategies developed by the participant. Keywords: learning strategies; direct strategies; indirect strategies

COVID-19 has forced many people to adjust to the new situation. The Indonesian education system has been changed drastically because of this pandemic. Although online learning differs from traditional class meetings, most academic institutions switch directly to online without necessary adjustments. As a result, many students experience zoom fatigue. The same thing also happened in the writer's university. Thus, adjustment toward the teaching-learning strategies is needed to avoid this exhaustion. In this research, the writer applied asynchronous learning in one of the film courses. The asynchronous was applied in ten meetings uploaded on the university's online platform. At the end of the semester, a survey was conducted to evaluate the method. This research is aimed to explore other possible methods in teaching film. It is necessary because teaching film requires a lot of physical and social interaction, which is impossible during this era.

This article aims to describe the correlations among intertextuality, hypogram, and transformation in the existing Saga of the Prophet Lot (hereinafter abbreviated as HNL) with the Story of the Prophet Lot (hereinafter abbreviated KNL) in the Holy Quran and also its correlations to the LGBT phenomenon in Indonesia. The problems in this article, that is (1) What is the intertextual relationship between HNL and KNL in the Holy Quran?, (2) How are the similarities and differences of HNL and KNL in the Holy Quran?, (3) What are the background creation of HNL? This article wants to prove that the ancient manuscript entitled HNL is a hypogram and transformation of the KNL contained in the Holy Quran. The method used in this article is content analysis because the authors intend to interpret the events contained in the HNL and then trace the Intertekstualnya relationship with the KNL found in the Holy Quran. In this article the similarities and differences in the two objects that will be examined are explained properly. This HNL script has similarities with KNL in the Holy Quran such as Prophet Lot was instructed by Allah SWT to preach his people such as about leaving their indecent behaviors; the arrival of the Angels at Prophet Lot’s home, Prophet Lot was expelled by his people, and punishment for the Sodomites. The differences only lie in the beginning of the story and at the end of the story of Prophet Lot.

This current work studies the human rights violations suffered by indigenous peoples during the period of the Brazilian CivilMilitary Dictatorship. Likewise, it makes some notes about the beginning of the violations in a moment before this dark period. On this path, even before the Military Coup was launched in the year 1964 (one thousand nine hundred and sixty-four), the Indians were already experiencing constant usurpations of their rights at the expense of irresponsibilities commanded most of the time, by those who should watch over their rights lives. As will be seen, the violation and disrespect for Human Rights in the face of these peoples ended up becoming common and gaining strength mainly in the beginning of the implementation of the military regime. Negligent attempts at acculturation and "emancipation", in addition to inconsequential contacts with isolated peoples, culminated in the destruction and predatory logging of their lands. Missing processes of terribly violating demarcations of indigenous areas promoted the expulsion of countless peoples, causing the Indians to fall into a life totally surrounded by hunger, begging, alcoholism and prostitution. All in the name of the so-called “economic advance”, which aimed at building roads, in what was called “occupation of the Amazon”? As frequently stated by the authorities at the time, the Amazon rainforest was seen and understood as a “population void” by the Military Government. According to this thought idealized by the disgusting dictators and supporters, it will be observed that the cases of violations of Human Rights have been systematically “legalized”. The life, land and culture of indigenous peoples were left in the background. Depending on this brief narrative developed through documentary research, based on a hypothetical-deductive method, the intention is to rescue the martyrdoms of that time, demonstrating what actually happened to indigenous peoples during the Military Regime, in the simplest attempt to remember or even disclose to those who are unaware of this part of history. All that said, don't you forget. So that it never happens again.
