Digital transformation provokes a great deal of uncertainty among employees. To gain insights into how employees manage the uncertainty driven by digital transformation and also how leaders can support them, this study has drawn on the theory of communication and uncertainty management (TCUM), which posits that the impact of uncertainty varies by how individuals appraise it and social support enhances positive appraisal. Based on those tenets, the current study advanced the following hypotheses: (a) uncertainty has direct and indirect negative effects on employees’ appraisal of digital transformation, self-efficacy, and job performance; (b) in contrast, direct supervisors’ transformational leadership has direct and indirect positive effects on appraisal, self-efficacy, and job performance; and also (c) transformational leadership moderates the impact of uncertainty. SEM with 4-wave time-separated data ( N = 873 employee-supervisor dyads in Japan) found support for these hypotheses. The obtained findings are discussed with reference to TCUM, transformational leadership, and other relevant literature.

Based on an analysis of selected definitions of the terms used for society and culture, the author creates the sociological theoretical framework for the article. In conjunction with the characterized phenomenon of digital transformation, extensive and far-reaching conclusions are formulated on the impact of new technology for postmodernity. In relation to the scientific achievements of Buber and Tischner, the author deeply analyzes the assumptions of philosophy of dialogue. This allows the observation of a wide dimension in the relationship between the relational nature of social relations, the condition of the individual, the durability of the systems humans create, the technocratic direction of civilizational development and the consumerist attitude to reality in contemporary society of the 21st century. The author describes technological worship and presents the negative consequences of digital transformation processes. On the example of the service sector, the transition is presented as symbolic culture based on the relations and dialogue with technical and functional culture. The research method used in the article is a review of the scientific literature. In the study, the author set the goal of determining the impact of digital transformation on humans in the context of the definition of culture and society. As a result of the research, the author states that technological insight (i.e. looking at technology as a way of resolving all contemporary problems) has the danger of successively weakening man, and could lead to a deepening of social inequalities. The author also emphasizes the need to deepen research on the consequences of the digital transformation on society and culture and to develop models that can reduce the negative consequences of the change process.

China’s “industrial restructuring” has expanded the proportion of the tertiary industry in the economy and promoted the development of local tourism. The ongoing “industrial structure upgrading” is intended to make the industry bigger and stronger, which will promote the growth of local tourism. As a tourist resort, nature reserves have been attracting a large number of tourists and have great development potential and economic value. Under this situation, various management agencies of nature reserves have successively carried out tourism activities and carried out tourism development and construction. However, there is no doubt that both tourism activities and development will have an impact on the ecological system of nature reserves. The existing legal system of nature reserves in China emphasizes the prohibition of behaviors that directly destroy the ecological environment and ignores the impact of human tourism activities. The continuous increase in the number of tourism in our country, brought on nature reserves of rich tourist income at the same time, a large number of facts show that tourism has become a source of environmental pollution, so it is necessary for tourism environmental pollution the main way to do a summary and its particularity, summing up the basic law of tourism affect the environment, thus provide the basis for strengthening the environmental protection from the point of view of tourism management. The emergence and development of tourism culture is inseparable from the influence of the environment, and tourism culture also affects the environment. The negative effects and negative effects of tourism culture development on the environment are becoming more and more evident, which has aroused people’s general concern. In recent years, the negative impact of tourism and cultural activities on the environment has been paid much attention to by many scholars at home and abroad. The article discusses the changing of the lifeworld under the influence of virtualization, the dominant tendency of the modern digital era. The main aim is to analyze the transformations of the lifeworld in the virtualization of human being, which determines the formation of a new sociocultural paradigm. The authors solve a twofold problem. Firstly, the semantic connotations of the concept “lifeworld” are restored from the point of view of the historical and philosophical tradition. A significant place is given to the conceptual analysis of the positions of E. Husserl, M. Heidegger, A. Schütz, J. Habermas and others. Secondly, they reveal the ontological, anthropological and axiological refractions of the lifeworld due to its fusion with the virtual environment. The methodological strategy is based on the potential of multivariate analysis, which includes a quadriga that combines objectivity, processuality, projectivity and environmental characteristics. The specific features of a virtualized lifeworld are analyzed taking into account the findings of both modern Western researchers: J. Sullins, S. Mehdizadeh, V. Miller, A. Clark, and Russian ones: M. Antipov, A. Voiskunsky, V. Volkov, I. Kasavin, N. Motroshilova, D. Martyanov, N. Smirnova, Zh. Toshchenko, V. Fedotova et al. The focus is on such phenomena of the virtualized lifeworld as “content viewers”, “digital skills”, knowledge rental, “double update”. In describing the contours of the new paradigm, attention is drawn to the replacing of being with its virtual counterparts, creating quasi-events that accompany the constitution of a “different order” of reality. The authors substantiate an ambivalent assessment of the virtualization of the lifeworld, taking into account its positive and negative effects. An analysis of the transformations of the lifeworld in modern conditions is concretized by considering the impact of networked computer games on human consciousness, and shows a decrease in the meaningfulness of actions, the violation of identity and the illusion of the denial of mortality. The authors come to the conclusion that the virtualization of the lifeworld sets other sociocodes, transforming the entire system of connections and relations. Its ontological projection indicates the construction of a “different being” rather than an “everyday life” with significant temporal changes and a new kind of digital alienation. Anthropological transformations are caused by the emergence of a new form of sociality – the sociality of the network, a request to improve digital skills that ensure existence in the digital world. A digital person is associated with the need for a “double upgrade” and can position a completely different identity. Axiological transformations testify to the deformation of conceptual thinking, to the design of new criteria for success and forms of motivation, to the self-sufficiency of network communication.

Tourism plays an important role in the economic and cultural development of society, producing many positive and negative effects. This study aimed to (a) assess the impact of tourism on modern life in Montenegro based on the attitudes of residents and (b) standardize instrument (questionnaire) for assessing these impacts. The sample formed by 521 adults from three different tourist regions (coastal, continental, mountainous). The questionnaire has high validity and reliability. Two components (two independent scales) have been extracted - the negative and positive social impact of tourism. It was found that the increase in positive impacts is followed by an increase in negative effects too. Type of the region, level of municipal development and engagement of respondents in tourism influence significantly the differences between attitudes of examinees. Those who live by tourism most respect its importance for local development.

The impact of technologies, fundamental to industrial revolutions, on the development of legal approaches to the regulation of social relations changing during their widespread use, is considered in this article. It is shown that the well-known technological revolutions did not pass without leaving a trace and led to fundamental changes in public life. The economic and social factors that influenced the regulation of social relations are analyzed; the legal consequences of three technological revolutions are revealed. Theoretical and legal aspects of the formation of individual branches of legislation are studied. The thesis that the interaction between a person and the technologies (technical means) of the three industrial revolutions was limited to the unilateral mechanical use of these means according to the needs of society is proposed and substantiated. The current state of technological development suggests that the world has entered a new era. The impact on the social relations of artificial intelligence, robots, the Internet of things, advanced materials, additive production and multidimensional printing, bio- and neurotechnologies, virtual and augmented reality will only increase. These technologies will lead to new, different from all that was before, ways of human interaction with technical means. Three prospective ways of human interaction with the technologies of the fourth industrial revolution have been analyzed by the authors: coexistence (a technical tool is able to fully communicate with a person), relationships (a technical tool plays the role of an assistant in certain areas) and mergers (digital and mechanical elements are fully integrated into a biological subject). Some of the risks to society, possible with these methods of interaction, are described. The need to develop regulatory frameworks able to create conditions for the successful introduction of advanced technologies and minimize their negative consequences is justified
