Subject matter / theme. A research of the conflict impact on the economic security of the enterprise is presented. The conflict arisen in the enterprise can disengage the employees’ activities which results in hindering the successful work and is reflected in all areas of the enterprise operation. For this reason, a favorable social and psychological atmosphere is essential.Purposes / objectives. The purpose of this article is the research of the conflict impact on the economic security of the enterprise. To achieve the purpose, it is necessary to meet the objectives:1.             To define the classification of conflicts in the enterprise depending on the conflict subject or the scope of its occurrence. To clarify the notion of contradiction.2.             To identify the internal threats to the financial and economic security of the enterprise, the emergence of which can be provoked by an unfavorable socio-psychological situation in the team, the growth of moral tension and the unsettled in proper time conflict in the team of the enterprise.3.             To suggest a conceptual scheme of the stages for forming an effective system of employee motivation at the enterprise.Methodology. The research uses economic security analysis with the use of conflictology theory; the economic and statistical methods of analysis, institutional approach and dialectical method of scientific cognition were applied at studying the role and impact of the conflict on the economic security of an enterprise.Results. There is no society with no contradictions, no conflicts, and there is no society with no certain level of security. Economic security is determined by the potential for conflict. With a low conflict level in the society and a higher security level, the external threats can be adequately neutralized by the system at other conditions being equal. The socio-economic conflict is a confrontation between the subjects of economic activity, their values and socio-economic interests. The notion of contradiction is broader in its content than the notion of an economic conflict. The economic conflict arises when people (as members of various social groups) realize the existing contradictions in their economic interests. The contradictions are objective and general; and the conflict is objective-subjective and specific. Conclusions / significance. Conflict in an enterprise is a specific kind of social conflict expressed in a clash of two or more opposing positions that concern both personal and business interests. Any conflict can be both creative and useful for the enterprise activity, as well as destructive and undesirable. Which consequences exactly will arise as a result of the conflict for the enterprise, mostly depends on the behavior style of the enterprise management in relation to the arisen conflict. Since the conflict affects all areas of activity, and conductors between the socio-psychological situation and the enterprise performance are employees of the enterprise, the presence of social tension in the work collective directly affects the economic security of the enterprise. In order to successfully resolve the conflict, any clash of interests should be considered as an opportunity for the emergence of new alternatives.

The relationship between employee motivation and the remuneration system with organisational efficiency has been formalised. The effectiveness of the motivation system and the employee incentive system at Iran software and hardware company (NOSA) has been evaluated using the questionnaire and expert survey method. The relationship between the productivity of the company’s personnel and the level of remuneration has been ascertained using the correlation and regression analysis. The recommendations to improve the efficiency of the labor motivation system at the NOSA enterprise have been formulated based on the obtained data. The results obtained allowed us to conclude that the interaction of motives and incentives is the tool that allows us to meet the needs of the employee in the most appropriate way for him – as a result of the realization of his abilities. Study of the motivation system at the NOSA enterprise indicates that the staff is not satisfied with the material remuneration. The company’s management during developing directions for improving the motivation program should take into account that the growth rate of labor productivity should outstrip the growth rate of its remuneration, otherwise the company’s resources will be spent inefficiently.

AbstractNatural disasters have been a significant hurdle in the economic growth of middle-income developing countries. Thailand has also been suffering from recurring flood disasters and was most which are severely affected during the 2011 floods. This paper aims to identify the various factors that impact the speed of disaster recovery among the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) severely affected by the floods in Pathumthani province in central Thailand, and how it is related to its speed decision of neighbours SMEs. The methodology adopts a spatial econometric model, to analysis and understand each of the chosen factors’ impact. The findings include the impact of disaster resilience, mitigation and planning at the SME level as well as the government level. The absence of accurate perception of actual risk, flood insurance and disaster management planning before the 2011 floods had contributed to the severity of the impacts during the 2011 floods.

Global disasters due to earthquakes have become more frequent and intense. Consequently, post-disaster recovery and reconstruction has become the new normal in the social process. Through post-disaster reconstruction, risks can be effectively reduced, resilience can be improved, and long-term stability can be achieved. However, there is a gap between the impact of post-earthquake reconstruction and the needs of the people in the disaster area. Based on the international consensus of “building back better” (BBB) and a post-disaster needs assessment method, this paper proposes a new (N-BBB) conceptual model to empirically analyze recovery after the Changning Ms 6.0 earthquake in Sichuan Province, China. The reliability of the model was verified through factor analysis. The main observations were as follows. People’s needs focus on short-term life and production recovery during post-earthquake recovery and reconstruction. Because of disparities in families, occupations, and communities, differences are observed in the reconstruction time sequence and communities. Through principal component analysis, we found that the N-BBB model constructed in this study could provide strong policy guidance in post-disaster recovery and reconstruction after the Changning Ms 6.0 earthquake, effectively coordinate the “top-down” and “bottom-up” models, and meet the diversified needs of such recovery and reconstruction.

The consequences of the restructuring of higher education in South Africa have not yet been thoroughly investigated. This study investigates the impact of the abovementioned restructuring on employee motivation (as measured by Alderfer’s ERG theory), organisational commitment and job performance. The results show that the respondents exhibit low levels of organisational commitment and low satisfaction with monetary remuneration and fringe benefits. The results, however, show high levels of satisfaction with growth factors, peer relations and performance intentions. These results are interpreted in the light of the multiple regression analyses conducted of the interrelationships among the variables.

Literature is increasingly recognizing that organizations must combine themes of care and concern with more established economic objectives. This conceptual study will expand on this literature by considering how expressions of organizational care toward employees, by improving their well-being, may influence their motivation, work involvement and, in turn, improve performance. In more detail, by extending the conceptual framework developed by Bonner & Sprinkle (2001), it is argued that managers should take into account the impact, not only of monetary and non-monetary incentives, but even of other caring policies, on employee motivation and performance outcomes. On this ground, this study develops a theoretical model on how organizational care may help employees in expressing their work potential and enhancing their performance. The model is developed within the health care context since its particular setting that strongly affects employees’ well-being.

For any organization to sustain long term benefits it requires to establish a mechanism to tap the knowledge and use this knowledge in taking future decisions. This study tries to capture the role of Organizational Learning and Employee Motivation and its impact on the Employees’ Performance. The study is exploratory and descriptive in nature. The questionnaire used for primary data collection has its items collected and derived from various standardized questionnaires available. The analysis of the primary data shows that there is a positive correlation between Organizational Learning and Organizational Performance. On understanding Herzberg theory of motivation the study came to conclusion that employees consider hygiene factors of motivation more significant than the motivator factors. The motivation level of employees in an organization has positive impact on the overall performance of any organization. The study helps the organizations to understand the relationship between learning and performance considering motivation as a mediating variable. </em>
