Abstract Athletes are a new type of celebrity in the world. Following other celebrities, there are several examples of athletes who have used their persona of fame to go a step further with their so-called personal brands and actually launch products carrying their names. As athletes are considered brands in themselves, these sorts of activities (i.e., introducing a product brand) are considered as an extension of the athlete’s brand. Given the nature of the research, this study employed a qualitative design. A purposeful convenience sampling technique was employed to select study participants according to a set of predetermined criteria. The final sample comprised nine fans. The fans identified five major factors that could be important in the context of an athlete’s decision to start his/her own brand. The five identified factors that could decide the fate of an athlete’s brand extensions were the athlete’s origin, extension fit, gender, performance, and impression. According to fans, these factors play an important role in the athlete’s venture as an entrepreneur. The study suggests that although fans understand that athletes are brands in themselves, Pakistani fans are not fond of the idea of athletes becoming entrepreneurs due to the fans’ emotional attachment to the athletes. As this is the first study expressing fans’ perspectives in the context of athlete brand extension, this study is an addition to the academic literature and theories of athlete branding and athletes as entrepreneurs.

Education tourism, despite being existed for several hundred years, has only recently been recognised as an independent sector worth studying. In today's globalisation era, knowledge is increasingly a commodity that moves between countries. Korean society adapts the globalization era, which is gradually narrowing the interval between countries around the world. The current study was aimed to explore factors that attracts students from Korea to Malaysian universities. Data were obtained from nine private educational institutions in March-August 2019. In the current study, 300 questionnaires were distributed by applying the unbiased sample and the non-probability convenience sampling technique. The results of the study confirm that higher quality education program, affordable tuition fees, and a higher standard environment are the key motivational factors attracting Korean students to study in Malaysia. This study proposes important implications for policymakers, institutional staffs, and other relevant stakeholders in prioritising action to position themselves in the market effectively.

In recent days, online marketing is a great revolution in the world. Over the last decade, most business organizations are running with modern technological change. The advanced technology getting better marketing performance. In this society, retailers are devising strategies to meet out the demand of online buyers. Online retailers are studying buyer’s behavior and perception of the consumer in the field of web shopping. Therefore, we have also chosen to analyses consumer’s attitudes towards online shopping and also studying the factors influencing consumers to buy their product on the web in this busiest fast-moving world. The population selected for the research is Madurai city, and narrowed down to buyers who are using the internet to buy online, includes students, homemakers, professionals; the sample size selected for this analysis is 50, and we have used the convenience sampling technique.

The study investigates the effects of the pandemic brought about by Covid-19 on Ilocos businesses and establishments. The study participants were the owners of micro, small and medium businesses in Ilocos Norte, and they were selected using a convenience sampling technique. The study employed a quantitative research design, and the entrepreneurs were asked about the perceived impact of Covid-19. Using descriptive statistics, the findings divulged that the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the businesses ranged from retrenchment of employees, disruption in the supply chain, and temporary to permanent shutdown. The impact of the pandemic includes uncertainties, the decline in productivity, demand, and sales. Implications, conclusions, and recommendations were also provided in the study.

The largest clients of Construction Industry (CI) in developing countries around the world are their respective governments. However, the CI in this clime is dominated by small and medium sized construction firms (SMSCFs). The aim of this study was to assess retention on valuation in the industry from the clients‟ perspective, with a view to improving financial performance of SMSCFs. Survey and non-probabilistic convenience sampling technique were adopted and data were obtained from industry stakeholders operating in Lagos. A total of fifty questionnaires validly completed were analysed using SPSS (Statistical Programme for Social Sciences) software Forty-four percent of the respondents have work experience in companies whose approximate annual turnover was < N 100m < N 500m. Finding shows that release of retention suffered from delay to outright non-payment of the retention monies and the retention practice of the three tiers of government is non-discriminatory of category of contractors. In conclusion, either delay or outright non-payment of retention monies on valuation will add to financial difficulty of SMSCFs Also, the retention policy of government, applying five (5) percent flat on their project does not consider the financial capacity of SMSCFs and latter‟s potential to contribute and grow the gross domestic product.

Objective: The objective of the study was to identify the incidence and knowledge of minor ailments of puerperium among postnatal mothers and to develop an information leaflet on the management of minor ailments of puerperium.Methods: A quantitative approach with descriptive design and convenience sampling technique was used in this study. With these methods, the researcher selected 100 postnatal mothers attending Obstetrics and Gynecology ward, AIMS, Kochi. A semi-structured questionnaire along with a checklist was used to assess the knowledge and the incidence of minor ailments among postnatal mothers.Result: The result showed that the common incidence of minor ailments was afterpain (67%), perineal discomfort (50%), constipation (43%), and fatigue (67%). Majority of the postnatal mothers had average knowledge (65%) level, and some of them had good knowledge (21%), and some of them had poor knowledge (14%).Conclusion: The study revealed that the main four problems of minor ailments of puerperium were afterpain, perineal discomfort, constipation, and fatigue. Number of studies from different part of the world, including India, shows that a large proportion of postnatal mother experiences minor ailments of puerperium. This provides evidence for giving importance to minor ailments of puerperium. Researchers also provided a baseline information leaflet on the management of minor ailments of puerperium.

The importance of job satisfaction as an antecedent to employees’ productivity and firm outcomes cannot be overrated in the world of business, especially in the service industry. This paper adds to the understanding of job satisfaction in insurance business by investigating the structural causes of task fulfilment. The mutual influences of compensation administration and employees’ motivation on job satisfaction was assessed using multivariate analysis. This research embraced a quantitative method and 212 employees were drawn using a convenience sampling technique. Three propositions were tested employing inferential statistical analyses run through SPSS statistics version 23 and SPSS Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS) version 23. AMOS was used to structurally determine job satisfaction through structural equation modelling (SEM). SPSS statistics version 23 was instrumental in assessing the psychometric properties via exploratory factor analysis and Cronbach’s alpha coefficients. The results indicate a substantial affiliation between reward administration and motivation. Statistically, this study found that compensation management exerts more direct influence on employees’ job satisfaction than the indirect tie through motivation. There may be a need to redesign human resource practices in the industry to improve the degree of employees’ gratification and duty fulfilment.

The use of organic cosmetics is gaining popularity in Pakistan due to associated health and environmental benefits. Consumers' preferences are rapidly shifting towards organic cosmetics because these products are based on natural ingredients. To analyze the gathered data of 300 female's convenience sampling technique was applied belonging to Faisalabad and Lahore. The data was collected about consumers' socioeconomic characteristics, consumption, purchase patterns with major factors of organic cosmetic consumer behavior and were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression techniques. The findings of the study revealed that three factors, health consciousness, environmental consciousness, and product quality information, impact significantly consumer behavior for organic cosmetics. Another factor needs for uniqueness showed a week impact on consumer behavior. This study provided valuable insights and recommendations to the industry about consumer behavior. It is suggested that marketers improve operational marketing policies by communicating the eco-friendly benefits of organic cosmetics.

This present scenario of partial lockdown is quite different from the nationwide lockdown. Presently people basically have access to almost everything but they have to follow some rules and regulations as imposed by the Government of West Bengal. As a result, the behavior of customers will also be different from the past scenario, thus to find out this difference author had carried out this research to find out factors that influence the behavior of customers. For achieving this objective to make it more specific and to fill a gap, the author had used essential products. Data were collected by using the convenience sampling technique and before collecting data a pilot study was conducted to check the reliability of the data collection instrument. Data was collected from 225 respondents from Khardah, West Bengal, India. For finding out the factors, Exploratory Factor Analysis was used and 4 major factors had been identified and based on these factors, recommendations had been made which have practical implications.

Sustainable Development (SD) is a rich, challenging and thought-provoking construct in social sciences. The main purpose of this paper was to identify and explore the role played by primary school teachers in building up the idea of sustainable development (SD) among students. This paper was intended to identify that how a teacher can successfully execute the concept of SD by influencing students’ minds at the primary level. Quantitative survey technique were utilized for data collection. All the primary school teachers of Lahore division comprised the population of the study. Through multistage sampling technique, 352 primary school teachers were selected as participants of the study. A self-developed SD questionnaire incorporating four major factors (teachers’ awareness, pedagogy, curricular and co-curricular activities) with Cronbach’s alpha value = .93 was used to measure the role of teachers in building the sustainability concept among students at primary level. The results indicated a significant mean score difference among SD scores of teachers, sector wise (private and public). Furthermore, the results also reconnoitered the significant difference (p=.04) between the mean scores of female and male teachers in building up the SD concept in students’ minds.
