Disaster education is an essential part of disaster mitigation steps in shaping character and building a culture of disaster preparedness. Knowledge on Disaster and Environmental (PKL) is a general course taught at the Undergraduate level at Syiah Kuala University. This research and development aim to produce valid, effective, and practical modules for PKL. The research and development model used in this study is an adaptation of the research and development steps proposed by Borg Gall, and the learning design model used in the initial product planning stage adapting the model proposed by Dick Carey. Expert validation and student readability test were followed to confirm the quality of the module. Three expert validators were involved, and 24 students were enrolled in several questionnaire-based approach of their perspective to the pre-and post-revision product module. The results of this study created a PKL learning module that has valid value (score 4.01-4.33), and the average results on the student readability test were in the good category (score 4.13-4.56). The final product that has been revised according to input and suggestions from the validator has the quality for exemplary utilization.

Disaster preparedness is an absolute prerequisite for the devel-opment of disaster risk reduction. This means that there is no awareness of danger disaster, then the high possibility of both physical and material losses is an inevitable matter. It is a must for humans to be sensitive and care for various possible disasters that can occur in the vicinity stay. Education on disaster mitigation needs to be introduced to the community. This is im-portant to create residents who are responsive and ready for disaster. This paper aims to develop learning media supported by the use of smartphones to increase literacy about volcanic eruption disaster mitigation. This study using research and development with the 4D model. The results of this de-velopment are mobile encyclopedia packaged in a smartphone application as a media for volcanic eruption disaster mitigation education. Media and mate-rial validation show that the product being developed is very good and worth testing. Besides, the results of media validation by indicator: attracting at-tention, interactivity, presentation of learning material, feedback, quality of learning, training showed benefits and students were enthusiastic in learning using this media. This product can be an alternative media for the 21st-century that applies mobile in the learning process

Abstrak: Penelitian bertujuan untuk menghasilkan model pendidikan prakarya dan kewirausahaan berbasis ekonomi kreatif berdimensi industri keunggulan lokal yang efektif bagi lulusan SMA berjiwa wirausaha. Penelitian menggunakan prosedur research and development yang dipadukan dengan prinsip desain konstruktivistik dengan tahapan: studi pendahuluan, pengembangan produk awal, dan uji produk awal melalui uji validasi ahli dan praktisi; uji terbatas secara bersiklus, uji produk akhir melalui quasi eksperimen, dan desiminasi serta implementasi. Hasil penelitian tahap pertama adalah sebagai berikut. Industri kerajinan lokal dan pemasarannya menjadi prioritas substansi prakarya dan kewirausahaan dengan menggunakan pembelajaran konstruktivisme social. Desain model terdiri atas tiga komponen, yaitu tujuan (tujuan mata pelajaran, kompetensi dasar, dan indikator), prosedur pembelajaran (pengorganisasian dan penyampaian materi serta pengelolaan pembelajaran), dan penilaian. Desain model menghasilkan produk yang berupa: rumusan kompetensi dasar, silabus, buku ajar, panduan pembelajaran, media, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan perangkat penilaian. Hasil uji produk awal menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan rancangan model dan produk yang dihasilkan pada kategori sangat baik. Kata Kunci: desain model, prakarya dan kewirausahaan, ekonomi kreatif MODEL DESIGN OF PRAKARyA AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP WITH CREATIVE ECONOMY BASED AND LOCAL QUALITY OF INDUSTRY DIMENSION Abstract: This study aims to produce education model of prakarya and entrepreneurship with creative economy based and local quality of industry dimension to the graduated students of Senior High School who have entrepreneur passion. This study used research and development procedure with constructivism design which included the introduction study, initial product development, and initial product test through expert and practitioner validity; limited test in cycle, final product test through quasi experiment, dissemination, and implementation. The first result of the study is as follow. Local handicraft industry and its marketing became the substantial priority of prakarya and entrepreneurship by using social constructivism learning. The model design consists of three components, such as objective (learning objective, basic competency, and indicator), learning procedure (material organization, material delivery and learning management), and evaluation. Model design produce a product which include basic competency formula, syllabus, handout, learning guide, media, lesson plan, and evaluation. <p align="center">Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan pengembangan kosakata Bahasa Inggris dan kualitas penggunaan <em>cartoon strips</em> sebagai media dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Penelitian adalah penelitian RnD (Penelitian dan Pengembangan). Sebanyak 37 siswa kelas X SMKN 1 Sanggau sebagai subyek penelitian ini. Penelitian pengembangan ini mengikuti tujuh langkah penelitian, meliputi : 1) penelitian dan pengumpulan data,  2) perencanaan,  3) pengembangan produk awal,  4) uji coba awal,  5) revisi desain,  6) uji coba lapangan, dan  7) revisi dan penyempurnaan produk. Hasil analisis kebutuhan mengungkapkan bahwa subjek membutuhkan media yang nyata dengan warna yang menarik. Temuan lainya menunjukkan bahwa produk media pembelajaran kosakata bahasa Inggris berupa <em>cartoon strips</em> layak digunakan bagi siswa SMK. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa cartoon strips dapat diaplikasikan sebagai media dalam proses pembelajaran kosakata Bahasa Inggris di kelas.</p><br /><p align="center"><strong> </strong></p><p align="center"><em>Abstract</em></p><p><em>The purpose of this research was  to describe the development of English vocabulary and the quality of </em><em>cartoon strips</em><em> for media in English teaching learning process. This research was  a  Research and Development (RnD). The subjects were </em><em>37</em><em> students in the </em><em>X</em><em>  grade state of </em><em>SMKN 1 Sanggau</em><em>. The use of local wisdom as learning resources has been widely known to be able to create meaningful learning. The purposes of this study were to 1) produce module based on freshwater fish anatomy as local wisdom in Ngebel Lake, Ponorogo and 2) find the quality of the module produced. The Research and Development (R&D) was designed based on the Thiagarajan model which consisted of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating stages. The data were collected using interview guidelines, validation sheets, and students’ response questionnaire. The validation results of the media, material, and language experts showed that the module was very valid with the percentages were 86.5%, 88.2%, and 85.3% respectively. In addition, the student responses reached 87.9% (very good). In conclusion, the fish anatomy learning module based on local wisdom is appropriate to be used as learning resource.

A good syllabus contributes to achieving better learning outcomes. Academic institutions often invest huge amounts in preparing the so-called 'panacea' of a syllabus hoping they could meet the demand of the highly competitive world. Now, however, educationists often get divided on what is instrumental to gaining a higher level of learning outcomes: Is it the quality of syllabus, or the kind of teaching approaches, or quality of teachers and learners, or good academic environment with a proper support system or a combination of all the above? While the academic process around the globe continues amidst these unresolved questions, teaching and learning English in Bangladeshi tertiary institutions for undergraduate students is no exception. Although almost all the students at undergraduate level take some sort of English language course like general English Language (GEL), or foundation English (FE) course, they fail to function when it comes to using the language in a real-life situation. This paper strives to trace out why the students cannot communicate in English properly even after 10 plus years of exposure to the language – 1/2 years at the tertiary level and 8 to 10 years at the primary and secondary levels. The research has adopted both quantitative and qualitative research methods and used two different questionnaires to collect data for the study. Delving into a thorough analysis of the existing syllabuses, the study contends that the syllabus cannot quite prepare the students to be able to function in English in a real-world scenario and, therefore, recommends a revamping of the syllabuses is necessary to produce pragmatic and pedagogical efficacy.

This study aims to design a guided inquiry-based module on the subject of reaction rates and to analyze the feasibility of a guided inquiry-based module on the subject of reaction rates. The method in this research uses the research and development or Research and Development method which is limited to only 5 stages, namely the data and information collection stage, the product planning stage, the initial product development stage, the initial field trial stage and the revision stage of the trial results. The research subject was a guided inquiry-based module. The object of research was the material reaction rate. The product developed was validated by 4 expert validators consisting of 2 material expert validators and 2 media expert validators. In addition, the responses of 2 chemistry teachers were also seen. Initial field trials were carried out by giving questionnaire sheets to 8 students. The results showed that the guided inquiry-based module on the subject of reaction rates was declared feasible after validation by material experts, media experts, teacher and student responses. Evaluation of material experts with an average percentage of 83.10% with the valid / feasible category, the assessment of media experts with an average percentage of 83.09% with the valid / feasible category, the percentage of teacher responses to 87.49% with the very interesting category and the percentage of responses 83.08% students with very interesting category.

The purpose of this study was to develop a calculus learning module based on POGIL for Informatics Engineering students. The POGIL-based module contains namely exploring, discovering, and applying. Through POGIL, students are more responsible for their educational assignments, learn to rely on their ability to think rather than just remember and develop positive relationships with other students. The module was developed and contains the POGIL syntax. The quality of development results is determined based on Nieveen's criteria, namely valid, practical, and effective. This is a Research and Development Study that applies the Plomp Model which consists of the initial research, development, and assessment phases. The subjects of this research were students of Informatics Engineering at the University of Pamulang. The research instruments used were validation sheets, student assessment questionnaires, and calculus questions. In terms of validity, based on the assessment conducted by experts, has met the valid criteria with a very good category with an empirical score that is 312. In terms of practicality, based on the results of student assessments after participating in learning using the developed tools, it is in the very good category with an empirical score of 1924. In terms of effectiveness, the result is <em>Z</em> = 1.75 &gt; <em>Z</em>_a = 1.645, so Ho is rejected, which means that the proportion of students who score 70 is more than 74.99%. The results showed that the calculus learning module met the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan Research and Development (R&D) yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengetahui kualitas modul pembelajaran berbasis penemuan terbimbing pada mata kuliah Matematika Ekonomi serta mengetahui prestasi belajar mahasiswa setelah dilakukan pembelajaran menggunakan modul tersebut.  Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah melalui lembar validasi, kuesioner dan tes. Modul ini diterapkan pada mahasiswa program studi Akuntansi dan Manajemen Semester 1 Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Gentiaras Bandar Lampung T.A. 2019/2020.  Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Kualitas modul pembelajaran berbasis penemuan terbimbing pada mata kuliah Matematika Ekonomi berdasarkan penilaian validator ahli materi masuk dalam kategori layak, berdasarkan validator ahli media masuk dalam kategori sangat layak dan berdasarkan respon mahasiswa masuk dalam kategori sangat baik. (2) Prestasi belajar mahasiswa setelah melakukan pembelajaran menggunakan modul berbasis penemuan terbimbing pada mata kuliah Matematika Ekonomi masuk dalam kategori baik. Kata Kunci: Modul, Penemuan Terbimbing, Matematika Ekonomi Abstract: This research is a Research and Development (R&D) that aims to develop and find out the quality of learning module based on guided discovery in the Economics Mathematics course and to determine student learning achievement after using this module. This research uses the ADDIE development model which includes Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection method used were validation sheets, questionnaire and test. This module was applied to the first semester students of Accounting and Management study program Gentiaras College Bandar Lampung T.A. 2019/2020. Data analysis was done by descriptive and quantitative. The result shows that: (1) The quality of learning module based on the guided discovery in the Economics Mathematics course based on the judgment of the material expert validator was included in the feasible category, based on the media expert validator included in the very feasible category and based on the students' responses included in the very good category. This type of research is research development (Research and Development / R & D). This research uses Borg and Gall development model with modified step that is (1) Doing Planning, (2) Developing the initial product, (3) Conducting product validation, (4) Conducting a limited trial and (5) Result of final product. Product validity test is done by three validators, two media validators and one material validator. Product test was conducted to 21 students of FTP UNP Department of KTP who took Multimedia Computer Courses semester July-December 2017. The instruments used were questionnaire, assessment format and documentation. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitative to know the quality of interactive multimedia developed. The results of the analysis show that interactive multimedia for multimedia learning, in the material aspect is in the "Good" category, for the media aspect is in the "Very Good" category. Furthermore, for the results of product practicality test that has been done is in the category of "Very Good". These results show that interactive multimedia is practically used as a source of learning and alternative media in multimedia learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) menghasilkan multimedia pembelajaran kartografi dan (2) mengetahui kelayakan multimedia pembelajaran dari aspek materi, aspek tampilan dan kelayakan untuk pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development). Produk awal divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media kemudian diujicobakan. Subjek uji coba produk adalah mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Geografi Fakultas Ilmu Sosial UNY. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah data dari ahli materi, data ahli media, dan tanggapan mahasiswa terhadap daya tarik media. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa lembar evaluasi untuk ahli materi dan ahli media, serta lembar angket untuk uji coba kelompok kecil dan uji coba lapangan. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) hasil pengembangan multimedia pembelajaran  melalui tahap  persiapan, desain, produksi, uji coba, dan revisi; 2) kualitas media ditinjau dari aspek materi termasuk kategori sangat baik; (3) kualitas media ditinjau dari aspek tampilan termasuk kategori  baik; (4) tanggapan mahasiswa tentang daya tarik media termasuk kriteria sangat menarik; dan (5) evaluasi hasil belajar menunjukkan lebih dari 75% mahasiswa mampu menguasai kompetensi pembelajaran menggunakan multimedia yang dikembangkan.Kata kunci: kartografi, multimedia  DEVELOPING COMPUTER-BASED INSTRUCTION MULTIMEDIA FOR CARTOGRAPHY AT GEOGRAPHY EDUCATION YOGYAKARTA STATE UNIVERSITYAbstractThis research aims: (1)to product multimedia for cartography; and (2)to reveal the quality of the developed instructional media viewed from the aspects of content, appearance, and attraction for instruction. This research is research and development. The initial product was validated by an expert in subject matter and an expert in media and then was trying out. The subject of product trials are students from the Department of Geography Education Faculty of Social Sciences Yogyakarta State University. The data were collected using an evaluation sheet for the subject matter expert, the media expert, and questionnaire sheet for the one-to-one try-out, the small group try-out, and the field try-out. The data were analyzed using the statistic descriptive technique. The research results show that: (1)the steps in developing  computer-based multi media was in some stages, namely, need analysis, design, production, try-out, and revision; (2) the quality of the developed instructional media viewed from the content aspects is very good; (3) the quality of the developed instructional media in terms of the appearance aspects is good; (4) the quality of the developed instructional media in regard to the attraction aspects is interesting; and 5) result of study explain more than 75% of students competen to received the targets of study with this multimedia.Keywords: cartography, multimedia
