Penelitian ini ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap beberapa hal dan permasalahan mengenai ragam kendangan jogedan wayang wong menak gaya Yogyakarta mengingat bahwa kemunculannya memiliki latar belakang  yang berhubungan dengan adanya 16 tipe karakter dalam wayang golek menak gaya Yogyakarta. Penelusuran dilakukan melalui  pengamatan yang detail terhadap intonasi, artikulasi, aksentuasi dan sekaran pada masing-masing jenis kendangan wayang golek menak dalam hubungannya identifikasi karakter tokoh beserta koreografinya. Bedhahing Ambarkustub merupakan salah satu pethilan cerita wayang golek menak yang digunakan sebagai sample penelitian ini. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Sifat kualitatif dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk memaparkan adanya ragam kendangan jogedan beksa golek menak gaya Yogyakarta melalui penelusuran yang berdasarkan data-data yang otentik sekaligus menguji seberapa jauh garap kendangan jogedan dalam mendukung presentasi pertunjukan seni tari khususnya tari klasik gaya Yogyakarta. Kegiatan observasi akan mengungkap gambaran sistematis terhadap objek yang dipilih yakni wayang wong menak lakon Bedhahing Ambarkustub. Hasil penelusuran ini diharapkan dapat memperluas kajian ilmu karawitan khususnya gending beksan atau karawitan tari. Penulis berharap bahwa melalui penelitian secara mendalam tentang pakem kendangan jogedan menak gaya Yogyakarta ini, maka kelestarian dan perkembangan iringan wayang golek menak dapat berlangsung lebih dinamis This study aims to reveal a number of issues and problems regarding the variety of Yogyakarta-style wayang wong constraints given that its emergence has a background that relates to the existence of 16 types of characters in the puppet show that resemble the Yogyakarta style. The search was carried out through detailed observations of the intonation, articulation, accentuation and current in each type of fearful wayang golek in relation to identifying the character of the character and the choreography. Bedhahing Ambarkustub is one of the great examples of puppet stories used as a sample of this study. The method used in this research is qualitative method. The qualitative nature of this study is to explain the variety of jogedan beksa golek constraints that are Yogyakarta style through search based on authentic data while testing how far the jogedan ride is worked in supporting the presentation of dance performances, especially Yogyakarta style classical dance. Observation activities will reveal a systematic picture of the object chosen, namely the wayang wong, the play of Bedhahing Ambarkustub. These search results are expected to expand the study of karawitan science, especially music beksan or karawitan dance. The author hopes that through in-depth research on the design of the jogedan vehicle to be of the Yogyakarta style, the preservation and development of the great puppet show can take place more dynamically

The peculiarities of the new artistic techniques in the Ukrainian ballet theater in 20-30’s of XX century have been analyzed under the influence of the historical, the socio-political, and the psychological changes in the society. It also has been emphasized on the creativity of the generation of choreographers-innovators and experimenters (M. Foregger, K. Goleizovski, A. Balanchivadze, V. Verhovynets).Key words: artistic and aesthetic canons, urban dance, Ukrainian ballet performance, classical heritage, choreographer’s style. Аналізуються особливості розгортання процесів новітніх художніх прийомів в українському балетному театрі в 20-30 років ХХ століття під впливом історичних, соціально-політичних, психологічних змін у тогочасному суспільстві. Акцентується зразки творчості нової генерації балетмейстерів-новаторів й експериментаторів, зокрема М. Фореггера, К. Голейзовського, А. Баланчивадзе, В. Верховинця. Виявлено нові форми художньої інтерпретації балетних вистав.Ключові слова: художньо-естетичні канони, урбаністичний танець, українська балетна вистава, класична спадщина, балетмейстерський стиль.

ABSTRAK Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan dakwah Ramdan Juniarsyah dengan wayang mudah diterima, relevan dengan budaya yang ada, menggunakan bahasa lokal, dan dakwah melalui wayang golek dapat menghibur. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, yaitu dengan mengumpulkan data dan informasi melalui observasi,wawancara dan dokumentasi kemudian dianalisis dengan mendeskripsikan informasi tersebut sesuai data yang dibutuhkan. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa dakwah melalui wayang golek mudah diterima masyarakat dalam beragam bentuk,seperti tanggapan positif dan antusias masyarakat yang datang. Kemudian, dakwah melalui wayang golek relevan dengan budaya yang ada yaitu dapat ditampilkan dalam acara-acara di masyarakat seperti PHBI, walimah, dll. Adapun bahasa lokal yang digunakan yaitu bahasa Sunda juga dengan bahasa Indonesia. Serta dakwah melalui wayang golek bukan hanya untuk berdakwah,tetapi dapat menghibur masyarakat dengan berbagai macam bentuk, seperti dari kelucuan tokoh Punakawan, meng-improve lagu-lagu dan dialog yang segar antara ustad dengan tokoh wayang. Kata Kunci :wayang golek;media dakwah;media tradisional. ABSTRACT This paper aims to describe the propaganda of Ramdan Juniarsyah with puppets easily accepted, relevant to the existing culture, using local languages, and preaching through puppet show can entertain. The method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, namely by collecting data and information through observation, interviews and documentation then analyzed by describing the information according to the data needed. The results of the study found that preaching through puppet shows was easily accepted by the community in various forms, such as positive responses and enthusiastic people who came. Then, da'wah through wayang golek is relevant to the existing culture, which can be displayed in public events such as PHBI, walimah, etc. The local language used is Sundanese also in Indonesian. As well as preaching through puppet show not only to preach, but can entertain the community in various forms, such as the humor of Punakawan figures, improve songs and fresh dialogue between ustadz and puppet figures. Intonation is a primary aspect in phonology, particularly in the supra-segmental area. Intonation carries meaning and changing the intonation of an utterance can quickly change the meaning of that utterance. This research aims to discover the patterns of intonation used in Sesame Street's puppet show and identify how interpersonal meaning is constructed on the show. This research was conducted from a phonology perspective and using the qualitative method. This research concentrates on phonology, mainly the supra-segmental area that is intonation. The focus of this study was on the relation between intonation patterns (tonality, tonicity, and tone) and interpersonal meaning. The website of Sesame Street was the source of Primary data for this study, as well as the puppet show's episode "Alphabet Race" (from Season 38). This research involved the researchers as its major instrument for analysing the data. In the process of collecting data, the researchers did documentation. This analysis finds the different division of the information between the systemic functional grammar level and the intonation level, which is shown from the clauses and tone units found in the show. The findings of this research provide teachers and EFL learners with further insight into how utterances deal with their intonation.

<p>This study aims to examine the roles of the Ngayogyakarta Palace, formal educational institutions, and non-formal educational institutions in the inheritance of the classical court dance of Yogyakarta or <em>Tari Klasik Gaya Yogyakarta </em>(TKGY). The method employed was a qualitative method through interviews and observations with a number of informants from dance institutions in Yogyakarta. Based on the interviews, a number of independent and collaborative roles among the three types of institutions under study can be identified. These roles were then placed in a theoretical framework related to the inheritance of the classical court dance of Yogyakarta (TKGY) that justifies the reasons why it can be well-inherited in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Based on this effort, it was found that each institution took a place in the attempt to support the inheritance layers (core, practical, philosophical, and developmental) causing the absence of problems in the existence of the classical court dance of Yogyakarta in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. These findings then can be used as the best practice for the inheritance efforts for classical dances in other places in the Indonesian Archipelago.</p>

The purpose of this study is to describe the characteristics of Bedayan Retna Dumilah dance motions created by S. Ngaliman Condropangrawit. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The research subjects are three figures who are familiar with the Bedayan Retna Dumilah dance. Data collection techniques used the method of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation study. Data analysis techniques were conducted through the stages of data reduction, data description, and conclusion drawing. Data validation was conducted through the triangulation of sources. The results show that the Bedayan Retna Dumilah dance is a Surakarta style traditional dance that combines the feeling of classical dance motions of the Surakarta Kasunanan Palace with the sense of motion of Kemlayan village artists. The main idea of the Bedayan Retna Dumilah dance was inspired by Bedaya Bedhah Madiun. The Bedayan Retna Dumilah dance range of motions was taken from the Srimpi Sangupati, the Srimpi Gondokusuma, and the Srimpi Anglirmendung dances range of motions. The characteristics of the range of motions found in the Bedayan Retna Dumilah dance are: 1) Sekaran Lara Retna Dumilah which is a development of the sekaran laras sawit; 2) the standing style sekaran lenggut which is a development of the lenggut on sembahan trapsila and sembahan jengkeng. The two characteristics of the range of motion are not found in the other dances.

AbstrakTulisan ini merupakan hasil penelitian tentang seni pewayangan yang dikembangkan oleh masyarakat Tionghoa di Singkawang Kalimantan Barat, yang dikenal dengan nama Wayang Gantung Singkawang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan perkembangan Wayang Gantung Singkawang sejak awal kedatangannya hingga saat ini, serta perubahan-perubahan yang dilakukan oleh para pelaku seni Wayang Gantung Singkawang sebagai strategi untuk mempertahankan eksistensinya. Pendekatan kualitatif diterapkan dalam penelitian ini. Sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pengamatan terlibat dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Wayang Gantung Singkawang telah mengalami kemunduran yang cukup pesat, disebabkan adanya kebijakan pemerintah Orde Baru yang membatasi penyelenggaraan adat istiadat masyarakat Tionghoa, perkembangan budaya pop dan media hiburan, serta permasalahan dalam proses regenerasi. Para pelaku seni wayang telah melakukan beberapa perubahan dalam cerita, tokoh dan durasi waktu pertunjukan, sehingga bersesuaian dengan permintaan penonton. AbstractThis paper ia the result of research on a Chinese puppet show called wayang gantung Singkawang, developed by the Chinese community of Singkawang (West Kalimantan). The author tries to describe the ups-and-downs of wayang gantung Singkawang beginning from its arrival to the modifications enabled by the puppeteers in order to preserve its existence. A qualitative method was applied on the research, and data collecting was conducted by means of participants observations and in-depth interviews. The author finds that there is no progress in wayang gantung Singkawang due to the government policies during the New Order Regime (Rezim Orde Baru) which restricted any kinds of performaces related to the Chinese traditions. Meanwhile, the development of popular culture and some problems concerning regeneration make these things worst. The puppeteers have to make some modifications either by changing the plot of the story, the characters of the puppets, or making the showtime shorter.

Transformations in social sciences accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic remain under-explored. The aim of the article is to analyse scientific literature on social sciences’ transformation in light of COVID-19 underpinning the elaboration of implications for teaching a Research Methodology course to the higher education students. The present research work made use of theoretical and empirical methods. The exploratory study was of qualitative nature. The study carried out in April 2021 was based on the analysis of scientific publications selected from the Web of Science and google search by indicating the key words “COVID-19” and “Social sciences’ transformation”. The conclusion is drawn that social sciences’ transformation to the remote conduct is “a new normal” in the conditions of uncertainty. Virtual fieldwork is proposed to be a new qualitative method in social sciences’ research as some populations live mostly in digital environments. Another conclusion is that there is a need for a balance, when composing the empirical study’s sample, between respondents in the digitally divided populations, namely inclusions of both groups’ - digital and non-digital - respondents. Implications for teaching a Research Methodology course to the higher education students are presented. Research limitations are identified. Directions of further research are proposed.

Researcher analyzed vocal errors in the reading skill of class VIII students at Dayah Insan Qur'ani Aceh Besar after observing students' difficulties in pronouncing Arabic letters correctly. Among the reasons for this problem is the lack of analysis of the form of letters and sounds that are  different from the Indonesian language, causing phonemic errors in Arabic letters. This study aims to identify the forms of vocal errors for class VIII students. The method used is a qualitative method, namely descriptive analysis that explains data and takes summary with words. The data collection technique is done by recording words using a voice recorder. The search results obtained show that there are thirty-eight errors that are divided into twelve types of errors. The highest number of errors are in the short neglect of harakat, then followed by the neglect of long harakat, replace the sound of 'ain with hamzah, replace the sound of ha with Ha, replace the sound of Ha with ha, replace the sound of qaf with kaf, replace the sound of dzal with zai, replace the sound of tha with ta, replace the sound of hamzah with 'ain, replace the sound of sin with shad, replace the sound of shad with sin, and replace the sound of ta with tha.

This study aims to analyze how strategic management in the Firta Collection Boutique to develop its business, especially in providing services to customers. The method used in this research is a qualitative method that includes Marketing Mix (4P Analysis) and SWOT Analysis, to find out what external factors are opportunities or threats to the Firta Collection Boutique. The results of the study show that the strategies adopted by the Firta Collection Boutique are still inappropriate and need to use other strategies. Changes in the external environment have continued to increase so that it is an opportunity and anticipates threats by utilizing strengths and minimizing weaknesses by innovating and improving approaches and gaining customer trust in product quality, in order to compete in the fashion sector.

The novel Sepertiga Malam di Manhattan by Arumi E is very interesting to study. This novel is a novel about the struggle of a family to get happiness. This novel is the Arumi E's 27th newest novel. The struggle in this novel is to make the family happy, expecting for the baby. Before writing the novel, Arumi E did a research in the places written in the novel to achieve a very interesting fictional story and most of this story was taken from the traveling results so it was so interesting. The objective of this research is to describe (1) the Autopoetic System in the novel Sepertiga MalamdiManhattan by Arumi E. (2) The differentiation system in the Novel Sepertiga Malamdi Manhattan by Arumi E.The research method used is in the form of a descriptive qualitative method that uses a social system approach. The method used by the researcher is the dialectical method. The data source used in this research is the novel Sepertiga Malamdi Manhattan by Arumi E, published by Gramedia publisher in 2018. The data collection in this study uses the steps of reading the novel. To collect data, the researcher use any instrument.There are two results of the study: (1) The autopoetic system in the novel Sepertiga MalamdiManhattan by Arumi E. is concerning to some characters who have their own beliefs or rules in their lives who do not want to follow the rules of others, they are more confident in their own way to success and purpose of life. (2) The system of differentiation in the novel Sepertiga Malamdi Manhattan by Arumi E. is covering the handling of changes in the environment, the characters are able to adapt to the new environment, which has a different culture from the original culture. This shows evidence of the system autopoetic and differentiation in the novel Sepertiga MalamdiManhattan by Arumi E.
