This study was conducted to determine the sociological impact of MDMC's humanitarian ijtihad in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. This research is qualitative by using a phenomenological study of the phenomenon under study, namely by expressing problems, presenting data, analyzing data, and obtaining data through observation either through literature study or directly. The results of this study indicate that MDMC's social care, and solidarity are marked by the establishment of the Muhammadiyah Covid-19 Command Center (MCCC) to fight the Covid-19 pandemic both medically, and outside the medical realm. Muhammadiyah as a religiosity-based community organization takes on a responsible role in responding to the reality of the Covid-19 pandemic with several steps, namely: revitalizing theological rituals, canceling the association's strategic agenda, and engineering learning techniques. These steps are MDMC's humanitarian ijtihad transformed in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia.

Face recognition plays a vital role in security purpose. In recent years, the researchers have focused on the pose illumination, face recognition, etc,. The traditional methods of face recognition focus on Open CV’s fisher faces which results in analyzing the face expressions and attributes. Deep learning method used in this proposed system is Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). Proposed work includes the following modules: [1] Face Detection [2] Gender Recognition [3] Age Prediction. Thus the results obtained from this work prove that real time age and gender detection using CNN provides better accuracy results compared to other existing approaches.

The Changes have survivalbenefits for an organization. And with out any change, it can be ascertained that the age of the organization will not last long. The Change sint end to make the organization notastatic but remained dynamic in the face of changing times. A leadershouldhave a vision and a change in the strategy based on assumptions about future condition sthatare expected to occur. The only leader who have the personality, be havior, and the sense of power that are able to deal with change. This paper analyzed the several literature study from national journals and books in Indonesia and international journals to see the change management concept from two perspective. And the results showed the similarity research funding from the researcher in Indonesia and the other countries about change management strategies and challenges.

Pandemic coronavirus disease -2019 (COVID-19) resulted in various aspects of the life of Indonesian people, including aspects of defense and security. The defense state classifies threats into military threats, nonmilitary, and combined or hybrid threats. The epidemic of COVID-19 is a non - military threat with a public safety dimension against the national defense. The bureaucracy that has not been properly integrated, sectoral egos, and negative news about the pandemic have become obstacles in the handling of the COV ID-19 pandemic by the Government of Indonesia. This research aims to analyze the simple handling of the pandemic COVID-19 by the Indonesian Government from the perspective of nonmilitary defense principles. This becomes important to unravel and minimize the obstacles faced so that subsequent handling will be more effective and efficient.  This paper uses descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach and a literature study. With the theory principles of defense strategy of nonmilitary, the author is looking at steps undertaken by Indonesia Government in handling the pandemic COVID-19. The principle of unity of command, coordination principle, the principle of anticipation, and the principle of transparency still need to be improved in a concrete way so that the handling of the pandemic COVID-19 is effective and efficient, could be reached. Building synergies and integrity policymakers consistently and continuously, inevitability to improve the defense state ability in the face of threats, military, nonmilitary and hybrid threats

Graph-based subspace learning is a class of dimensionality reduction technique in face recognition. The technique reveals the local manifold structure of face data that hidden in the image space via a linear projection. However, the real world face data may be too complex to measure due to both external imaging noises and the intra-class variations of the face images. Hence, features which are extracted by the graph-based technique could be noisy. An appropriate weight should be imposed to the data features for better data discrimination. In this paper, a piecewise weighting function, known as Eigenvector Weighting Function (EWF), is proposed and implemented in two graph based subspace learning techniques, namely Locality Preserving Projection and Neighbourhood Preserving Embedding. Specifically, the computed projection subspace of the learning approach is decomposed into three partitions: a subspace due to intra-class variations, an intrinsic face subspace, and a subspace which is attributed to imaging noises. Projected data features are weighted differently in these subspaces to emphasize the intrinsic face subspace while penalizing the other two subspaces. Experiments on FERET and FRGC databases are conducted to show the promising performance of the proposed technique.

This aim of this article is to account for the resilience of adolescents who are challenged by structural disadvantage and to highlight that how adolescent resilience is accounted for depends on whether adolescent or adult views are foregrounded. To do so, I report a South African phenomenological study. I draw on a thematic content analysis of qualitative data and subsequent frequency count of the themes to contrast how 385 Black adolescents and 284 adults (who educate or provide services to youth) explain what enables adolescent resilience in the face of structural disadvantage. Adolescent and adult explanations differed substantially with regard to personal strengths, family support, and education pathways. These differences reflect conceptualizations of resilience, which are probably related to developmental stage and cultural fluidity and which caution that, despite adult perspectives being valuable, societies need to prioritize adolescent insights.

Spiritual healing is a health development through a kind of spiritual activities like mantra, religious symbols, rituals, breathing, and meditation that have entered into the tourism of Bali. The study reveals the modifications of spiritual healing in Bali tourism. The research was conducted in Ubud Tourism Region and in the Region of Muncan. This study is a qualitative research. The collection of data was conducted through literature study, observation and interviews. The analysis was conducted qualitatively by classification, interpretation and inference. Modification of spiritual healing in Bali tourism occurred as a result of the dialogue among tourists with healers or local gurus. This modification revises and adds spiritual healing, by maintaining the native gurus and the native rituals of Bali. Native gurus and native rituals of Bali are the expectation of the spiritual healing of foreign tourists in Bali. This expectation is manifest in the longing for gurus and the development of authentic atmosphere. Thus, the native gurus and the native Balinese ritual are augmented products in the Bali spiritual healing in the face of competition from similar products. This indicates that Bali must retain its image as the original source of spiritual healing in the world.

The COVID-19 Pandemic has been going on for more than a year in Indonesia. The Indonesian government has been struggling to manage this Pandemic in various ways by implementing health protocols, Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB), and vaccinations. This article discusses the efforts made by the Javanese people in coping with the COVID-19 Pandemic by using literature study methods and observations of the realities that occurred during the Pandemic in Semarang. The discussion focused on cultural practices carried out by Semarang society to overcome the COVID-19 Pandemic, such as the ritual of repelling logs, social care for affected communities, and cooperation in providing personal protective equipment for health workers. Based on this reality, it can be stated that socio-cultural capital is used to cope with the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Th e purpose of writing this article is to explain the phenomenon of globalization from its understanding of the shape and impact of globalization which then impacts Islamic boarding schools and how Islamic boarding schools respond to them. Analysis of this article is done using a literature study. Th e results of the analysis found that Islamic boarding schools view globalization as an age dynamic that cannot be avoided. Th erefore, pesantren choose to be active while maintaining the identity and characteristics of the pesantren that function as a pioneer of reform (agent of change). Th e impact of globalization faced by pesantren must be made with several changes, namely changes in infrastructure and physical buildings of Islamic boarding schools. Changes involve the management and management of Islamic boarding schools. Changes in the widening of the scope and level of education in pesantren. Changes in the way the pesantren behave are no longer closed. Changes in boarding schools in the face of change will not be successful without a positive attitude from the government.
