The study applies quantitative research methods that are exploratory and explanatory. Data collection was done through an online questionnaire and distributed to several groups (nonprobability-convenience sampling). The collected data were then analyzed quantitatively using principal component analysis, factor analysis, and multivariate correlation analysis. The analysis result found that tourist motivation to visit Imogiri consists of four categories: novelty, restoration, social and actualization. Activities carried out in Imogiri are described in six categories: active recreation, cultural recreation, passive recreation, social recreation, educational recreation, and dating. Correlation between the three variables leads to two travel categories, they are nature recreation tourism and culture recreation tourism. The attractiveness of Indonesia comes from a variety of potential such as nature, local wisdom, or artificial. Those attractions make tourist can be defined as many types based on their motives and activities. This research used mixed method (qualitative-quantitative) with sequential procedure strategy. The purpose of this study is to determine the type of tourists based on the correlation between the motivation of travel with tourism activities. Data collection was done through an online questionnaire and distributed to several groups (nonprobability-convenience sampling). The collected data were then analyzed qualitatively using content analysis and quantitatively using principal component analysis, factor analysis, and multivariate correlation analysis. The results of the analysis revealed that there are six tourism motivations namely contemplation, social-exploration, restorative, culinary, opportunity, and novelty. In addition, there are four tourism activities namely physical activity, cognitive, affective, and adventure. The results of the correlation of motivation and tourism activities then form a pattern that shows three types of tourists such as explorer, pleasure seeker, and adventurer.

Some in the social sciences argue that the same logic applies to both qualitative and quantitative research methods. This book demonstrates that these two paradigms constitute different cultures, each internally coherent yet marked by contrasting norms, practices, and toolkits. The book identifies and discusses major differences between these two traditions that touch nearly every aspect of social science research, including design, goals, causal effects and models, concepts and measurement, data analysis, and case selection. Although focused on the differences between qualitative and quantitative research, the book also seeks to promote toleration, exchange, and learning by enabling scholars to think beyond their own culture and see an alternative scientific worldview. The book is written in an easily accessible style and features a host of real-world examples to illustrate methodological points.

The Braga area is one of the cultural heritage tourist destinations in Bandung with the attraction of its colonial architecture. The emergence of new buildings in the region is presented without giving attention to the surrounding colonial buildings. The visitor’s perspective on the Braga area is an important basis in regional growth and development. This study aims to find the perspective of visitors based on the correlation between their attraction and expectations of the Braga region. The method used in this study was mixed methods (qualitative-quantitative), and data collection was carried out using a survey through a freely distributed online questionnaire (snowball non-random sampling). The collected data is then analyzed qualitatively using content analysis and quantitatively using principal component analysis, factor analysis, and multivariate correlation analysis. The results of the study revealed the existence of two perspectives, namely appreciative and recreational. The appreciative perspective sees Braga as having an attractive heritage of historical buildings and hopes that Braga will become a conservation area. While the recreational perspective regards Braga as an entertainment area that is unique and hopes for the commodification of the Braga area.

The formulation of the issue is whether the social environment affects the child's imagination? This research is descriptive quantitative research methods of correlation. X variable in this study is the social environment, the variable Y is Imagination. The population in this study is third grade students of State Elementary School. The result of the study is for homogeneity, comparing Fcount with Ftable the distribution Ftable, 0123<1.94 means homogeneous. To test for normality using K-S test, the social environment variables in mind that the value of quintile testers with α= 0.05 and n= 30 is 0.242, the highest value of 0.156. Ho accepted means Ha rejected due 0.156<0.242. The conclusion of the study is the normal distribution of the social environment at α= 0.05. The variable imagination of the students known that the quintile testers with α= 0.05 and n= 30 is 0.242, the highest value of 0.197. Ho accepted means Ha rejected due 0.197<0.242. The conclusion of the students imagination with normal distribution at α= 0.05. For a simple linear statistical test with product moment knowable Y=53.67+1.03X, of F=0.127 and Ftable =5.79, Fcount <Ftable is the linear regression. Finally, there is the influence of social environment on the imagination of the students.

Nowadays, the concept of performance can be related to almost any field of activity, taking into consideration the fact that setting, achieving and even exceeding goals appear to be of constant interest for individuals involved in working activities. Additionally, research literature is rich in notions related to performance measurement, evaluation and management. The same interest in literature is met for the concept of teachers’ self-efficacy and evidence show these two concepts are strongly related one to the other. Hence, the current study aims to bring a new perspective for these topics by analyzing work performance and self-efficacy in the field of education employees, i.e. high-school teachers, and the extent to which they perceive their self-performance and self-efficacy levels. As the present paper focuses on determining the level of the previously mentioned concepts among high school teachers from Romania, the data were gathered through an online questionnaire, answered by 603 Romanian high-school teachers and later analyzed according to quantitative research methods. The results of this study, consistent with the methodology used and within the limitations, show a high level of both perceived work performance and perceived self-efficacy among the high-school teachers. These facts could be of great interest for educational stakeholders, fellow researchers and policy makers.

The purpose of this study was to describe the reasons for knitting blogging and the importance of blogging for the bloggers’ crafting. A multiphase mixed-methods study focusing on quantitative research methods was the methodological basis. Therefore, the study included both sequential and simultaneous investigation paths. In this study, the quantitative data were collected from the same group of Finnish knitting bloggers by two online surveys in 2008 (N= 501) and in 2013 (N= 212). The quantitative data focused on time-related changes in blogging, whereas the qualitative data, collected by essays (N=50) during 2013-2014, was used to explain the quantitative data. In quantitative analysis, the key features of reasons for knitting blogging were analysed by principal component analysis. The differences in the principal components for the background groups between the surveys were elucidated by means of 2-way analysis of variance. The qualitative data were analysed by data-driven content analysis. The results indicated that there were several reasons for knitting blogging. According to the results, the elements of knitting blogging were: 1) inspiration and materialization, 2) connecting and community support, 3) encouragement and 4) reflection and reminiscence. Knitting blogging has reshaped crafting by combining the material and tactile process of knitting with digital practices of life-streaming and with participatory activities in networked spaces. It appeared that knitting and blogging complemented each other, and that blogging supported development of the blogger’s crafting into a serious leisure activity with meaningful long-term activities and clear goals. Keywords: digital practices, knitting blog, leisure, mixed methods design, online communities
