This empirical study aims at assessing the attitudes, perception and intention of university students towards entrepreneurship and new venture creation with a focus on gender differences in entrepreneurial perceptions and intentions to start new business in the future. Data were collected using a questionnaire-based survey of 350 students at the University of Khartoum in Sudan. The target population was the students in the final year in the University of Khartoum. The stratified sampling technique was used to select the sample size because the population consisted of a number of subgroups that differed in their characteristics. The results showed significant differences between genders in entrepreneurial intentions and its antecedents. Thus, it is important that customized approaches based on gender are needed for developing entrepreneurial intentions among college students.

This study investigates the entrepreneurial intention levels and career decisions of a sample of 340 university students studying sport sciences. Entrepreneurship refers to a career-related choice that is driven by a risk-taking and innovation imperative. Entrepreneurs of the future are expected to make their career related choices well before they move into labor markets. In this context, this study attempts to designate young adults’ entrepreneurial intentions which are considered to be highly related with their career decisions. The study also tests the potential effects of career decisions on entrepreneurial intentions. The findings of the study evidence the significant effect of conscious career choice on entrepreneurial propensity. A blind career choice is found to be also correlated with entrepreneurial intentions, albeit less so than the conscious career choice. The environmental factors subscale of career choice proves to be insignificant in terms of entrepreneurial propensity within the scope of this study’s sample group. Findings are discussed with a view to practical implications.

A quantitative evaluative approach was used for this study with a one group pretest and posttest design. The purposive sampling technique was used to select 120 students aged between 10 to 12 years who were studying in 6th and 7th standard. The practice of super brain yoga was given 20 times over 10 minutes per day for a period of one month. The Digit Cancellation Test and the Knox Cube Test was used to was used to assess the pretest and posttest level of concentration and memory in children. Results: The pretest mean and standard deviation of concentration was 33.64±5.43 with a standard error of 0.496. The first posttest (at the end of second week of practice of super brain yoga) mean and standard deviation was 33.55± 5.378 with a standard error of 0.491 and the t-value was 0.749. The second posttest (at the end of fourth week of practice of super brain yoga) mean and standard deviation was 33.67±5.393 with a standard error of 0.492 and the t-value was 0.240. The pretest mean and standard deviation of memory was 33.67±4.696with a standard error of 0.429.The first posttest (at the end of second week of practice of super brain yoga) mean and standard deviation was 33.66±4.654with a standard error of 0.425 and the t-value was 0.080. The second posttest (at the end of fourth week of practice of super brain yoga) mean and standard deviation was 33.68±4.700with a standard error of 0.420and the t-value was 0.074. The present study result shows that statistically there was no significant effect of super brain yoga on concentration and memory of children and no association between posttest level of concentration and memory of children with their selected demographic variables. Conclusion: Hence the study concludes that the super brain yoga has no significant effect on concentration and memory of children with a duration of four weeks of practice. The study recommended that to bring the desired positive effect on children’s concentration and memory the study can be conducted for a long period of time.

The entrepreneurial intentions of individuals play a phenomenal role in establishment of new ventures, which in turn facilitates economic development. The study aims to identify the various dimensions of personality traits along with several other precursors of entrepreneurial intentions and investigates impact of the identified factors on entrepreneurial intentions of top five university students in India. The data for research were collected through a structured questionnaire employing a 7-point Likert scale based on purposive sampling technique. The identified constructs considered to be determinants of entrepreneurial intentions were need for achievement, locus of control, risk-taking propensity, innovativeness, self-efficacy, proactiveness, perseverance, entrepreneurial alertness and entrepreneurial attitude. The findings of the study reveal that ‘need for achievement’ was the most significant precursor of entrepreneurial intentions; whereas, ‘entrepreneurial alertness’ and ‘entrepreneurial attitude’ dimensions of personality traits were also found to have a positive correlation with entrepreneurial intentions of university students. Moreover, entrepreneurial alertness partially mediates the relationship between self-efficacy and proactiveness on the one hand and entrepreneurial intentions on the other.

The positive effect of students' exposure to entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurship intention is well established in extant literature. Ghana is an example of an emerging country that has embraced entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial education to curb unemployment levels, especially among university graduates. However, countless university graduates especially in Ghana prefer seeking non-existent jobs rather than establishing their businesses. Therefore, this paper proposes a conceptual framework that highlights entrepreneurial competencies, social support, and business opportunities as essential factors that can potentially enhance the entrepreneurial intentions of university students, particularly fresh graduates. Specifically, we offer three propositions with the anticipation of generating fresh research interest for future studies in entrepreneurial intentions among university graduates. Understanding these driving forces leading to entrepreneurial intentions among young graduates is critical for effective entrepreneurship education and self-employment in Ghana and beyond.
