This paper focuses upon the importance and value of local Indigenous Knowledge and how it is being threatened in today’s modern world rather than being leveraged to catalyze development. The author specifically calls out three types of Indigenous Knowledge: (1) medicinal knowledge related to human health, i.e., herbal medicine; (2) sacred groves – geographic areas set aside to preserve plants and animals and that can help to mitigate the impact of climate change; and (3) living libraries – communities of people who are also holders of cultural wisdom and history and who are custodians of all knowledge relating to the history of their own community. The author makes a call to action, requesting that scientists, librarians, publishers, and others in the information community collaborate and move forward together to save and build upon global Indigenous Knowledge.

It is extremely important in our time to meet the needs of the population for high-quality food products, this is the main social task of modern society. In the modern world, humanity is focused on performing various tasks and the most difficult task for many years has been taking care of human health. Without a doubt, veterinary specialists account for an important part of this work. Therefore, it is the study of the rules of veterinary and sanitary examination of poultry meat that is the purpose of the study.

Mycotoxins are known worldwide as fungus-produced toxins that adulterate a wide heterogeneity of raw feed ingredients and final products. Consumption of mycotoxins-contaminated feed causes a plethora of harmful responses from acute toxicity to many persistent health disorders with lethal outcomes; such as mycotoxicosis when ingested by animals. Therefore, the main task for feed producers is to minimize the concentration of mycotoxin by applying different strategies aimed at minimizing the risk of mycotoxin effects on animals and human health. Once mycotoxins enter the production chain it is hard to eliminate or inactivate them. This paper examines the most recent findings on different processes and strategies for the reduction of toxicity of mycotoxins in animals. The review gives detailed information about the decontamination approaches to mitigate mycotoxin contamination of feedstuffs and compound feed, which could be implemented in practice.

Abstract. The idea that human health is tied to the soil is not a new one. As far back as circa 1400 BC the Bible depicts Moses as understanding that fertile soil was essential to the well-being of his people. In 400 BC the Greek philosopher Hippocrates provided a list of things that should be considered in a proper medical evaluation, including the properties of the local ground. By the late 1700s and early 1800s, American farmers had recognized that soil properties had some connection to human health. In the modern world, we recognize that soils have a distinct influence on human health. We recognize that soils influence (1) food availability and quality (food security), (2) human contact with various chemicals, and (3) human contact with various pathogens. Soils and human health studies include investigations into nutrient supply through the food chain and routes of exposure to chemicals and pathogens. However, making strong, scientific connections between soils and human health can be difficult. There are multiple variables to consider in the soil environment, meaning traditional scientific studies that seek to isolate and manipulate a single variable often do not provide meaningful data. The complete study of soils and human health also involves many different specialties such as soil scientists, toxicologists, medical professionals, anthropologists, etc. These groups do not traditionally work together on research projects, and do not always effectively communicate with one another. Climate change and how it will affect the soil environment/ecosystem going into the future is another variable affecting the relationship between soils and health. Future successes in soils and human health research will require effectively addressing difficult issues such as these.

. In the article, the author emphasizes that among the global problems of our time, the problem of protecting and promoting human health occupies an important place, since, on the one hand, it is one of the oldest problems that man has faced since the very beginning of his existence, and on the other hand, this problem is of paramount importance in comparison with the rest, since it is directly related to the life of the entire human race. In other words, we are talking about the main human value – human life. The author claims in the article that modern global problems are mostly a threat to the health of the population of our planet. As a result, the world community in the twenty-first century faces the urgent task of creating and strengthening a global security system, taking into account new dimensions of security and a key priority for human health and safety. Therefore, in order to analyze the concept of «global health», it is important to study the term itself in the context of modern world policy concepts. The author analyzes the political concept of «global health», studying the evolution of its formation and assesses the dynamics of various factors of its past and present state.

AbstractThe rare earth elements (REE) are vital to innovation technologies and society and are important for the industry, especially for high-tech solutions. In the modern world, anumerous applications have been developed using rare earth elements (REE), implying human exposures and raising unclear questions as to REE-associated health effects. Protecting the environment and public health from disadvantageous actions of rare earth elements mining and processing as emerging pollutants is urgently desired to achieve sustainable development. All activities in mining processes like extraction, separation and after recycling of REE elements could create rick to human health and environment. In the paper the role of management in safety aspects during mining and processing of rare earth elements has been highlighted. In the paper, the potential dangerous and damaging effects on the environment and human health have been identified - the potential risk in the processing as well as the possibilities of preventing the occurrence of hazards have been analyzed.

In the modern world, medicine is actively developing, which allows using the achievements of science and technology in order to ensure human health and life. Medical services meet the basic needs of protecting human health and much attention is paid to the development of innovative branches of medicine, such as bioethics and others. However, in medical practice there are often situations when problems with human health cannot be solved by traditional medical procedures and the need arises to transplant organs or tissues. Transplantation of human organs and tissues in the modern world is becoming a common method of medical activity, which allows many patients to save lives. However, this process is accompanied by a number of criminal acts. Criminal communities commit unlawful actions in order to profit from the sale of donor agencies. These actions cause significant damage to the medical sphere and pose serious threats to human life and health. The purpose of this work is to analyze the existing mechanisms for countering crimes in the field of transplantation of human organs and tissues. Attention is focused on the fragmentation of criminal legislation in the field of transplantation of human organs and tissues, which significantly affects the ineffectiveness of counteraction to these illegal acts.
