The aim of this research is to identify and evaluate the factors that give hotels in Indonesia a competitive advantage. This research approach is based on a three-stage protocol, which includes an initial stage, implementation, and writing. The initial search string yielded 1,250 journal articles, of which 12 were chosen for further investigation. This study employs qualitative methods, after which the data is extracted and research questions are generated. Differentiation, environmentally friendly technology, service quality, marketing efficiency, market focus, creativity or image, leadership style, information systems, knowledge management, customer intimacy, hotel budgets, and human resources are among the factors that affect hotels' competitive advantage, according to the findings of this report. Both of these factors have a favorable or important impact on hotels' competitive advantage. Originality based on this literature can be seen as a potential research agenda and can aid the growth of the hospitality industry. Keywords: Competitive Advantage, Hotels

Abstract Long-term care is considered a subset of health care administration as the characteristics and leadership skills needed differ from other areas of health care. Leadership style directly relates to organizational development, success, and effectiveness. For study purposes, specific focus was placed upon determining the degree to which nursing home administrators (NHAs) perceived styles of leadership determined job satisfaction with tenure as an NHA. Perceptions of leadership style and levels of job satisfaction were determined using a non-experimental, quantitative design, specifically employing a survey research approach. The research instrument in this study, the MLQ, provided the data essential to addressing the research questions and accompanying hypotheses. The effect of study participant response to items on the MLQ associated with the research questions was assessed using univariate analysis of descriptive factors and inferential statistical techniques for statistical significance testing purposes. A total of 87% of study participants indicated that they perceived their leadership style as Nursing Home Administrators (NHA’s) was reflective of Transformational Leadership. However, findings indicated that participants who had a Transactional Leadership style were more likely than other types of leadership styles to select an NHA as a career path if given the opportunity to choose this line of work in the future.

As soon as decision makers are expected to make differences towards sustainable future, young adults’ ability to make informed and sound decisions is considered essential towards securing our planet. This study provides an insight into young adults’ knowledge of key environment and sustainability issues. To answer the key research questions, data were obtained using a qualitative phenomenographic research approach and collected through 18 face-to-face in-depth interviews with research participants. The findings of this study suggest that young adults lived experiences that play a huge role in their level of awareness of topical environmental and sustainability issues critical to humanity’s future on earth.

Communication and delegation are two important and parts of the leadership function. However, it is still a matter of debate whether leaders can delegate responsibility for communication, especially policy information, to those under their authority. Various opinions state that there is no prohibition for leaders to delegate their responsibilities because this is the leader's prerogative. This study aims to identify whether leadership should or should not delegate communication. The method used in this study was Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The SLR method is used to identify, review, evaluate, and interpret all available research by topic area phenomenon of interest, with specific relevant research questions. The results showed that leaders can delegate communication but it is highly dependent on the type, style, and approach of leadership on the table at that time. Such a leadership style or approach will automatically influence the style and approach of communication and delegation.

Football, as the most popular sport amongst other sports, is a household name in the world and South Africa particularly. This study examines the use of marketing in improving competitive advantage among potential and professional football clubs in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Several sponsorship opportunities that could serve as an impetus to disseminate various club projects are noted to be undermined. Arguably, some of the clubs’ activities are seasonal, and the applicability of marketing by football clubs in the KZN province could not be tactically emphasized. Therefore, the amount of marketing activities in clubs’ seasonal operations is unidentified which poses a challenge in achieving club objectives. This paper argues that it is of importance for the club marketing managers to consider features of each specific season and corporate marketing activities for the development of appropriate marketing actions that could serve as competitive advantages. This study adopts a mixed-method research approach, and a convenient sampling technique with responses from 80 questionnaires were retrieved. Five (5) coaches, 5 club owners, 5 managers, 5 supporters, and 5 players from five football clubs each located in KwaZulu-Natal province were interviewed to extract their understanding of the use of marketing to gain competitive advantage. Findings from the study state that using marketing correctly could improve the chances of potential professional football clubs’ popularity and increase financial gains. Most respondents emphasized that when clubs use a proper marketing strategy with appropriate use of marketing mix, it could position the clubs in the hearts of their supporters and public.

Abstract Background and Purpose: Many organisations are using the e-payment system; however, its effectiveness has not been determined particularly in the Nigeria context. The University of Ilorin as educational organisation started using e-payment system in 2010 and up till now there has been limited or no study conducted to examine whether or not workers are satisfied with the new payment system together with other related ones they are familiar with. It is in the light of this that this study examined users’ satisfaction with the e-payment system at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. Design/Methodology/Approach: A sample of 260 academic and non-academic staff was taken from six out 12 faculties that made up the university. Using a survey research approach data was collected with a modified questionnaire. Five research questions were developed to guide the study. Results: The results revealed that, respondents (93.5%) were adequately satisfied, satisfied and moderately satisfied, while, only (6.5%) of the respondents were less satisfied and dissatisfied. Perceived speed was identified as the characteristics users mostly satisfied with, followed by system security, traceability, and convenience. Moreover, there is significant correlation among the entire e-payment characteristics/factors (perceived speed, security, anonymity, traceability, perceived ease of payment, and convenience); and that all the six factors jointly predict users’ satisfaction with the e-payment system. In order of magnitude of the prediction/contribution to e-payment, users’ satisfaction, perceived speed made the most significant prediction/contribution. Conclusion: Based on the findings, the study concluded a considerable percentage of the respondents (93.5%) are satisfied with the e-payment system at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. In lieu of this therefore, there is need to improve the e-payment system so that all and sundry could be satisfied.

The purpose of this thesis is to study the influence of leadership style, work discipline, compensation, job satisfaction and employee performance at PT. Sraya Dinamika Mandiri and to provide suggestions on how PT. Sraya Dinamika Mandiri can increase job satisfaction by improving employee performance that affects it. For the independent variable: leadership style (X1), work discipline (X2), compensation (X3), the dependent variable is employee performance (Y1), and the intervening variable is job satisfaction. The research approach is quantitative research by the questionnaire. The sample used was 150 respondents. This study indicates that each dimension of leadership style, work discipline, and compensation has a direct and significant positive effect on the performance of PT. Sraya Dinamika Mandiri employees. Job satisfaction directly has a positive and significant impact on employee performance. However, work discipline has no positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, and work discipline has no positive impact on employee performance through job satisfaction.

Business competition that occurs in every industry in the world these days is totally inevitable, especially in Indonesia as one of the new emergent market in the world. Every companies are expected to be able to cope and compete well to achieve the best result for the shake of the companies’ future. However, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME) often encounter so many problems during their competition which could impacted on the decreasing company performance and to some extend the worse result which is bankruptcy. This research is conducted to investigate on the existence of gap that occur due to the lack of empirical evidence that focus on social networking, adaptability and competitive advantage on SMEs in Indonesia. Thus, this research focuses on the leader’s social networking and organizational adaptability to support the creation of competitive advantage. This is an associative causal research using 30 restaurant owners in Surabaya city as the respondent which has a maximum number of employees of 20 peoples. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) is used to answer the research questions. It is found out that social networking affects significantly on adaptability, while adaptability affects on competitive advantage insignificantly.
