Based on the long-term observations of Crocus heuffelianus Herb., the Red Book species of "Medobory" Nature Reserve, growing on the boundary of the area, the dynamics of the population age structure has been analysed. The study of the population and phenology has been conducted since 1995 at the Botanical Experimental Area (BP-2), which is located in Viknianske forestry (square 32, board 7) and covers an area of 0.1925 hectares. The number and density of the cenopopulation have been studied. The ratio of the number of individuals to the area of the population is taken for the density, and the number of individuals in its entire area – for the absolute number. The number of species ranged from 347 to 753 individuals. The average plant density is 0.27 individuals per square meter. The highest index was in the years 2016 and 2018 – 0.39 and 0.38 individuals per square meter, and the lowest was in 2005 – 0.09 individuals per square meter.During the investigating over the past decade, surveys of plants of different ages (juvenile, virgin and generative), as well as phenological observations were conducted. Allocation of age groups was carried out in accordance with the classification of Melnyk V.I.The population of Crocus heuffelianus Herb in the Reserve is established as a full-fledged and left-handed. Only in 2011 it was intermediate.According to the results of phenological observations, the average long-term date of the vegetation onset is the 15th of March, the beginning of flowering – the 24th of March, the mass flowering – the 1st of April and the end - the 12th of April. The entire flowering cycle is 21 days on average. An important factor that has a significant impact on the state of the population of the species in the Reserve is the spring sowing of bulbs and tufts of plants by sultry European. It is pointed out almost every year, and evidenced by the presence of numerous fresh lanterns and ditches.

Regular revisions of the classification of diseases and the consequent disruptions of mortality series are well-known issues in long-term cause-of-death analysis. Given basic assumptions and medical knowledge about possible exchanges across causes of death in the revision years, redistribution of counts of causes of death into a new classification can be viewed as a constrained optimization problem. Penalized likelihood within a quadratic programming framework allows estimation of exchanges that vary smoothly over age groups. The approach is illustrated using both German data on malignant neoplasms and French data on heart diseases.

The article considers the means of determining gender identification of girls engaged in boxing and their impact on the training and competitive process. Purpose: to determine gender identification of qualified girls boxers. Material & Methods: the study involved qualified (participants, prize-winners, champions of local tournaments and championships of Ukraine in their age group) girls boxers 12-15 years old, who are engaged in the city children's and youth sports school. A total of 10 girls were interviewed, including 7 athletes aged 15 and 3 athletes aged 12 years, sports experience at the time of the study ranged from 3 to 5 years. Research methods used: S. Bem's method "masculinity - femininity"; Freiburg Personal Questionnaire (FPI) Masculinity Scale; analysis and generalization of literary sources; analysis of excerpts from the protocols of competitions and video viewing of semifinal, final matches of two championships of Ukraine; method of mathematical statistics. Results: it was determined that most girls (n = 9) with index values (IS) in the range from -0,348 (± 0.05) to 0,580 (± 0.05) belong to the androgynous type according to the S.Bem classification. Only one athlete (n = 1) with indicators (IS) -1,276 belongs to the masculine type according to the classification of S. Bem. Determination of masculinity signs using the FPI test showed the number of points scored from 4 (± 2) to 9 out of 14 possible. Conclusions: The study proved the dominance of androgynous and masculine types in various sports in general. The ratio of gender types between individuals engaged in martial arts and boxing is revealed. The data on the dominance of the androgenic type of personality in the younger age groups of women's boxing have been supplemented. For more productive training of gender types of physical and special boxing exercises and forecasting of competitive activity, it is necessary to study individual psychological qualities of a girl-boxer. It is advisable in the subsequent stages of long-term training to conduct repeated tests of girls boxers of this research group in order to determine the progress of masculinization by age and sports experience and sports qualifications.

Abstract Optimal contributions approaches to parental selection in closed breeding populations aim to maximise genetic gains, while restraining long-term inbreeding. The adoption of optimal contribution selection (OCS) in highly-fecund outcrossing species presents a number of challenges not applicable to species of low fecundity (e.g. livestock) for which they were developed. This is particularly true if overlapping-generations or rolling-front breeding strategies are applied, in which case the number of individuals per family in juvenile (i.e. sexually immature) age groups is not necessarily known but is likely to be large. In these circumstances, conventional OCS procedures must be modified or a large number of dummy individuals defined, making computations onerous. Here, an approach to OCS is presented that involves the use of ‘between-family relationship matrices’ instead of ‘between-individual relationship matrices’. The method is applicable to breeding programs involving highly fecund outcrossing species with overlapping generations, including circumstances where the number of juveniles per family is unknown but large.

The assessment of barriers in persons older than working age with visual impairment was carried out using the International Classification of Functioning, Disabilities and Health to substantiate the list of necessary support services. An increase in the absolute number of people in older age groups objectively leads to an increase in the number of citizens experiencing difficulties in solving medical, social and psychological problems. Analysis of the results of the study showed that a significant part of people, due to impaired visual functions, experience limitations and barriers in physical environment, emotional sphere, family relationships with close and distant relatives. When assessing environmental barriers that interfere with the full-fledged life of persons with visual impairments, the presence of restrictions in sections D4 «Mobility», D5 «Self-service», D6 «Household life» was revealed. The presence of barriers and restrictions indicates the need to implement social protection measures, including rehabilitation, the need to adjust the list of support services. The use of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health will determine the barriers faced by a disabled person due to visual impairment in various spheres of life and provide targeted assistance, support and assistance, to ensure the objectivity and sufficiency of social protection measures for each disabled person, on a scientific basis.

The introduction and active use of information transmission and storage systems in the Ministry of Defense (MoD) of Ukraine form the need to develop ways of guaranteed removal of data from media after their use or long-term storage. Such a task is an essential component of the functioning of any information security system. The article analyzes the problems of guaranteed destruction of information on magnetic media. An overview of approaches to the guaranteed destruction of information on magnetic media of different types is presented, and partial estimates of the effectiveness of their application are given by some generally accepted indicators of performance evaluation. The article also describes the classification of methods of destruction of information depending on the influence on its medium. The results of the analysis revealed the main problems of application of software methods and methods of demagnetization of the information carrier. The issue of guaranteed destruction of information from modern SSD devices, which are actively used in the formation of new systems of information accumulation and processing, became particularly relevant in the article. In today's conditions of development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, methods of mechanical and thermal destruction are more commonly used today. In the medium term, the vector of the use of information elimination methods will change towards the methods of physical impact by the pulsed magnetic field and the software methods that allow to store the information storage device, but this today requires specialists to develop new ways of protecting information in order to avoid its leakage.

Adolescence is a time in life when lifestyle behaviours are acquired. One indicator of poor diet quality is the intake of foods and beverages with a relatively low nutritional value. Using the Australian classification of such foods, termed “discretionary”, we classified the intakes of Swedish adolescents who participated in the Riksmaten Adolescent 2016–17 national dietary survey. From selected schools, 3099 adolescents in age groups 11–12, 14–15 and 17–18 years provided two 24-h recalls. Intakes and healthy dietary scores were calculated. Plasma ferritin, folate and 25(OH)D were available for a third. Almost 40% of total energy came from discretionary foods/beverages. Adolescents with higher intakes were more likely to be female, older, from a low socioeconomic position-household and born in Sweden. Most discretionary foods/beverages were consumed on weekend days and during in-between meals, outside of the home and at school. Percent energy from discretionary intake was associated with healthy dietary scores but not nutritional status. A substantial amount of energy was obtained from discretionary foods/beverages, and we found that consumption is pervasive across sociodemographic factors, time and place. Addressing this pattern will require a comprehensive approach to food environments and behaviours to reach all adolescents in an equitable manner.

Quality of life (QoL) is an important parameter that affects the choice of therapy. Assessment of QoL and satisfaction with therapy using the rtCGM in children with T1D aged < 7 years was conducted. The study group consisted of 38 children with T1D aged < 7 years (34% aged 2–4, 66% aged 5–7 years), HbA1c: 6.53 ± 0.63%, duration of diabetes: 2.6 ± 1.6 years, treated with an rtCGM-augmented insulin pump for 1.92 ± 1.15 years. Two anonymous surveys were conducted: a. PedsQL3.0 diabetes standardized questionnaire—QoL assessment among age groups: 2–4/5–7 years. b. An original survey assessing the CGM use satisfaction. The mean scores in PedsQL3.0: communication 75%, worries 30%, treatment 70%, and problems associated with diabetes 65%. The QoL scale is: 0–19% very low, 20–39% low, 40–59% moderate, 60–79% high, 80–100% very high. The most frequently reported concerns were long-term diabetes complications and prick pain. Satisfaction with CGM use was high (68% in group aged 5–7 and 92% 2–4 years). Twenty-seven (71%) caregivers confirmed the positive effect of CGM on sleep. During the use of rtCGM a high quality of life was reported, and the quality of sleep in their caregivers was increased.
