The subject of this research is the value orientations of China’s modern youth in the area of profession selection and professional self-development. Special attention is given to the phenomenon of stereotypization of a number of social perceptions and orientations pertaining to conditions, in which the process of professional self-development of the youth could see the highest level of success. This article includes theoretical and empirical aspects. The theoretical portion explores the specificity of professional education, modern trends and difficulties characteristic to modern China, as well as presents the data of earlier research devoted to this problematic. The empirical portion presents the results of surveys of China’s working youth, determines respondents’ priorities in the sphere of profession, and cites the presence of cognitive myths related to the role of higher education and social ties in the process of job searching. The scientific novelty of this research consists in author’s approach towards exploration of the formation of professional choice process among Chinese youth not only under the influence of objective conditions, but also through the prism of social stereotypization and mythologization. Based on the conducted research, the author proposes a series of measures aimed at overcoming professional imbalance in China.

In the article the problem of readiness of teacher from student�s cognitive competence development is considered. The authors substantiates the term of form cognitive competence. The special attention is given to the analysis of characteristic an educational space. Attention is focused on the problem of forming of teacher�s personality in the conditions of continuous education, from student�s cognitive competence development is considered. In the perspective of learning there is an increasing need for customized education and training. In a preceding case study, a process-focused demand-driven approach for organizing flexible educational programmers in higher professional education was developed. The authors offers his view at the role of selfeducation in the process of the personality, that is able and has great wish for self-realization. The Central task of modern professional education is the formation of students’ readiness for self-education, self-development. Autodidactic processes are of direct relevance to the solution of this problem, which, acting as the basis for independent educational and cognitive activity, help students overcome the difficulties of self-development, contribute to the activation of creative potential (“self” processes), and allow them to become the subject of their own development. The article reveals the nature of musical art, which opens up opportunities for the development of semantic aspects of reality from the standpoint of creativity and continuous self-development; highlights the structure of artistic and creative self-development, which includes three levels – professional and value self-determination; artistic and creative self-perfection; artistic and creative self-actualization; the basic strategy of artistic and creative self-development of students-musicians, which is a harmonious combination of adaptive (conformal) and non-adaptive (creative) types of activity with a gradual predominance of creative activity. Special attention is paid to the components of artistic and creative self-development, which, representing the facets of one process, complement and enrich each other.

This chapter deals with self-organization teaching technologies as the best instrument of generating, development and using of the innovative methods in education. As a process of spontaneous, dynamic motion of the components of a socio-system, self-organization can randomly generate new (often attractive) structures, processes, and situations. Self-organization of a student group can generate new techniques and ideas for learning and under the knowledge contents also increases students' motivation to learn, interest to the discipline, encourages teachers to professional self-development and to a deeper understanding of the subject matter and techniques. The section suggests several key ways to initiate the self-organization of a group of students or teachers: heuristic methods, interdisciplinary explication, educational heterosis, developing of managerial competencies of a teacher. Factors enhancing the use of self-organizational teaching technologies are disclosed.

The priority task of the present-day system of supplementary professional education, aimed at timely retraining of educators and providing for innovative ways of developing educators, is to elaborate a system of continuous education and post-graduate qualification upgrading, where self-development plays an important role. One of the critical factors in meeting requirements imposed on the new system of supplementary professional education is to provide wide use of Web technologies potential for educators� self-development. To self-improve their qualification, the educators should master information and communicational competencies. Teachers should be engaged in and develop by themselves professional network communities, to employ teleconferencing technologies, to participate in various thematic forums and social networks in order to involve their colleagues in the process of professional self-improvement, to initiate various ways of pedagogical interaction, based on various types of communications, personal contacts etc. One of the primary tasks, aimed at ensuring the innovative features of education in this country for the period up to 2020, would be to establish the system of continuous education, training and retraining of educators and professional development of post-graduates, �yesterday�s students�.

long-awaited Concept of teaching the subject area “Technology”, the project of which is analyzed in the article,defi nes the problems facing the teacher. The author illustrates these problems and the characterized directions of teaching the subject area “Technology” with the possible fragments of the content of technological education. The author shows which information should be used at the stage of the development of schoolchildren’s basic application skills of the main types of hand tools (electrical including) as a resource for solving technological problems which are the priority results of the mastering the subject area “Technology”. The article suggests the knowledge necessary for ecological education of schoolchildren, formation of their world outlook, provided that the interdisciplinary relations are established. The problems of the environmentally friendly production organically associated with the problems of modern economy allow us to solve the problem of economic education. The article proves that the subject of “Technology” is supposed to create certain patterns of thinking and behavior of schoolchildren, introduce them into the world of professions, and ensure professional self-determination of schoolchildren.

The image of a shirtless black child in Copacabana watching the New Year’s Eve fireworks, published by photographer Lucas Landau on his Facebook page, was a focus of controversy across social media and produced a number of different interpretations about both the photograph and the boy in it. The Brazilian edition of the Spanish newspaper El País produced two texts on the subject, both of which brought about varying comments from Facebook users. Using the French discourse analysis as a basis, this article analyzes interpretations expressed about the texts published in El País. The goal was to understand social perceptions of the current conception of childhood by analyzing the reactions conveyed in the comments. Our research showed us that the kid’s individuality goes undisclosed and he becomes a platform for sociopolitical discussions. This is quite common in journalism and how it represents contemporary childhood: the role of children as active social actors is disregarded, and they are simply portrayed as being in need of protection.A imagem publicada pelo fotógrafo Lucas Landau em sua página no Facebook, mostrando um menino negro, sem camisa, vendo a queima de fogos no réveillon de Copacabana, causou polêmica nas redes sociais, com diferentes interpretações sobre a fotografia e a criança retratada. O jornal espanhol El País, em sua versão brasileira, produziu dois textos sobre o assunto, os quais, por sua vez, também geraram vários comentários de usuários da rede Facebook, no perfil da publicação. Por meio da análise do discurso de linha francesa, este artigo analisa essas manifestações, que exprimem a recepção dos textos do El País. O objetivo foi compreender as percepções sociais da concepção contemporânea de infância, por meio das reações dos comentadores. Pelo estudo, percebe-se que o garoto tem sua individualidade suprimida e se torna “palco” para discussões sociopolíticas. Isso reflete o que se tem visto de forma geral nas representações da infância no jornalismo: o papel das crianças como atores sociais ativos é ignorado, e elas são mostradas somente como seres tutelados. La imagen publicada por el fotógrafo Lucas Landau en su página del Facebook, mostrando a un niño negro, sin camisa, viendo la quema de fuegos en el año nuevo, en Copacabana, causó polémica en las redes sociales, con diferentes interpretaciones sobre la fotografía y el niño retratado. El diario español El País, en su versión brasileña, produjo dos textos sobre el tema, los cuales, a su vez, también generaron varios comentarios de usuarios de la red Facebook, en el perfil de la publicación. Este artículo hace un análisis de esas manifestaciones, que expresan la recepción de los textos de El País, por medio del análisis del discurso de línea francesa. El objetivo fue comprender percepciones sociales de la concepción contemporánea de la infancia, por medio de las reacciones de los comentaristas. Por medio del estudio, se percibe que el chico tiene su individualidad suprimida y se convierte en “escenario” para discusiones sociopolíticas. Esto refleja lo que se ha visto de forma general en las representaciones de la infancia contemporánea en el periodismo: el papel de los niños como actores sociales activos es ignorado, y ellas son mostradas sólo como seres tutelados.

Introduction.The instability of the modern world with its rapidly changing social and economic realities requires the readiness of a person for self-change. For this reason, along with vocational education, higher education has to include the programmes to form future experts’ skills of professional self-development, which success depends on many circumstances, including self-attitude.The aimof the research presented in the publication was to define the role of self-attitude in personal and professional self-development of students in the course of their professional training in higher education institution.Methodology and research methods.Empirical methods were employed in the course of the research. The complex of psycho-diagnostic techniques was used: test-questionnaire of self-attitude by V. V. Stolin and S. R. Pantileev; tests: Life-Purpose Orientations Test by D. A. Leontiev, The General Self-Efficacy Scale by M. Jerusalem, R. Schwarzer and V. Romek, Assessment of Self-Control in Communication by M. Snyder; questionnaires: Personal Orientation Inventory by E. L. Shostrom, Ability to Self-Development by V. I. Zvereva, Willingness to SelfKnowledge and Self-Development by T. A. Ratanova and N. F. Shlyahta, Determination of level of reflexivity development by A. V. Karpov, Style of Self-Regulation Behaviour of Students by V. I. Morosanova. The obtained respondents’ responses (n = 110) were processed using methods of mathematical statistics, such as correlation and cluster analysis.Results and scientific novelty.Different theoretical approaches to the problem of self-attitude highlighted in the scientific literature are considered. The affective and cognitive components of self-attitude are emphasised. Significant correlation relationships between the characteristics of self-attitude and level of motivational readiness for self-knowledge and self-development of 2nd-4th-year students-psychologists of N. P. Ogarev Mordovia State University have been revealed. It appears to be rather attributed by the fact that the attitude of students towards themselves in many respects is defined by the level of formation of their reflexive and regulatory qualities, understanding of the purpose and meaning of life, confidence in the professional success, which provide an incentive for self-change and self-improvement. The conducted cluster analysis allowed the authors to group the students around different levels of professional self-attitude and self-development (very high, high average and stagnant). The results of the research show that positive self-attitude is one of the important factors in self-development. The process of awareness of self-worth encourages the person to periodically reflect on career prospects and implementation of plans, providing the grounds for creative self-realisation.Practical significance.The results obtained can be used by teachers and psychologists of higher educational institutions to organise psycho-pedagogical support for personal and professional self-development of students.

The article deals with the main approaches of the psychological-pedagogical paradigm to the definition of the content and structure of the category of activity. The main ideas of significant researches on the direction of studying the professional self-actualization of personality and its aspects, in particular, its interrelation with the determining role of activity in the development of personality have been highlighted.
