Introduction. Achieving the strategic goals of scientific-technological development, corresponding to the modern technological mode, is impossible without increasing the competitiveness of the education system, which is ensured by new continuous professional education models for school teachers of an engineering-technological profile, among which urban educational formats are increasingly used, as well as communities of experts, formed around groups of masters and relying on co-creation, transfer of experience and technology. The research purpose is to assess the potential of urban professional communities and the conditions for the formation of an informal pedagogical education ecosystem in the field of engineering-technological education of schoolchildren. Materials and methods. To study the structure of professional contacts of the urban network of teachers engaged in engineering-technological education of schoolchildren, the sample was constructed using the "snowball" method. The content analysis of a semi-structured interview was used to identify professional roles and professional contacts, to assess the density of networks using the method of network analysis of an educational organization according to K. Ushakov. Results. On the basis of a semi-structured interview with working teachers engaged in engineering-technology education, the links between the accepted roles (teacher, mentor, expert) and the network density were revealed, a great potential for the network development was revealed (84% of new links can still be formed, 53% of participants are ready to master new roles). The leading roles of leaders, “network nodes”, are “an expert” and “a mentor”. The authors highlight the characteristics of urban forms of interaction between teachers that enhance the social capital of a territory: co-existence format, heterogeneity of participants, reliance on experience and taking into account the ambitions to accept roles, distributed leadership, support of professional reflection, joint design of events. Practical significance. The presented method for assessing the social capital of a territory on the example of an informal education network of teachers engaged in engineering-technological education can be used in the management of local educational ecosystems.

Based primarily on an analysis of laws and legal frameworks, this qualitative exploratory study aims to examine the development, context, construction, as well as deconstruction, of the technological university model in Brazil. The Federal University of Technology – Paraná (UTFPR) is the only technological university in the country. The analysis presented herein demonstrates that its development is the outcome of movements and efforts within its predecessor, the Federal Center of Technological Education of Paraná (CEFET-PR), to respond to the deconstruction of the technical education model, on which the Institution was based, during the Fernando Henrique Cardoso government. The concept of a technological university has not been replicated in any government since the transformation of CEFET-PR to UTFPR, not even during the Workers’ Party (PT) government, which introduced the model. We conclude that, despite efforts from within, the legal apparatus and the pursuit of certain characteristics and goals, such as obtaining world class status, are aligning UTFPR increasingly toward the profile of traditional universities.

The study of the laws of formation of aesthetic culture of pupils and students by means of Ukrainian folk crafts began with the search and study of samples of Ukrainian folk embroidery, description of its techniques, distribution in different areas of certain ornaments, colors, traditions. The result of this work were her books “Ukrainian towel as a means of national education and a work of folk decorative and applied arts”, “Poltava traditional embroidery: past and present”. V. Tytarenko is one of the first initiators of conducting comprehensive research and experiments in Ukraine in the field of decorative and applied art, as well as the methodology of scientific and pedagogical research in this field of knowledge. The scientific interests of Valentyna Tytarenko’s scientific school are focused on the study of the laws of formation of the aesthetic culture of pupils and students by means of Ukrainian folk crafts. The creative team of like-minded people has successfully carried out research in recent years, funded by the state budget on “Theory and methods of forming the aesthetic culture of future technology teachers in the process of personality-oriented training”, and today completes research on “Theoretical -methodical aspects of technological education of pupils and students by means of culture and design”. Continuation of basic and applied research on this topic is implemented in the Poltava regional special research group of teachers of labor training and technology “Design as a method of cognition in the educational field of technology”, which works under the leadership of Professor V. Tytarenko. The formulated results of its activity on theoretical and methodological aspects of technological education of pupils and students by means of aesthetic culture and design which we can observe as a result of opening of ways of use of the maintenance and a technique of preparation of future teachers of labor training and student’s youth for training of the Ukrainian national crafts confirm their full conformity. data presented in the materials of dissertation research of representatives of the scientific school.

The aim of this study was to analyze the association between institutional variables and the performance of Accounting and Administration students. The microdata of Enade 2018 were used, obtaining 152,491 valid observations. Performance was measured in three ways: final performance, performance in the general training test and performance in the specific component test. In addition, the following institutional variables were considered: academic organization, region, modality and shift. The data were examined using zero adjusted Box Cox Cole Green (BCCG) regression models. The results indicated the institutional variables were relevant to explain the performance. Specifically, it was staked students enrolled in federal centers of technological education had superior performance than the other forms of academic organization. Another relevant point was the students in the North region performed worse than other regions in general. However, they outdid the students from Central-East region in the issues of general training. Regarding the teaching modality, it was found that students of face-to-face teaching presented higher performance than the distance learning students (DL). And the full-time students had better performances overall. As implications, it is pointed out that institutions offering Accounting and Administration courses in the Northern region may want to improve the quality of education, as well as those of the Centre-Western shall want to do so in relation to general training education. Similarly, the teaching on the DL modality can be improved and the offer of full-time courses can be thought of and potentially implemented.
