The subject of this research is the process of establishment of Irkutsk Fire-Technical School during the 1960’s – 1970’s and its professional-pedagogical transformation in the later period of 1990’s. The article covers in the details the question of historical-pedagogical peculiarities in recruitment of the faculty staff of the school with academic personnel at the initial stage. The author explores the question of professional skills of the temporary and permanent academic staff in realization of training, marching drill and combat activities. In the course of this research the author determines and analyzes the factors that influenced the establishment and development Irkutsk Fire-Technical School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of USSR during the 1960’s – 1970’; as well as peculiarities of pedagogical activity in the formative stage of the educational institution. The article examines the relationship of the cadets and staff members of the school with the service branches. The presented research is relevant for broad audience, since the establishment and development of departmental institution of system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of USSR in the territory of Baikalia during the 1960’s became a milestone event for education system of the entire Siberian Region.

The subject of research of this research is the process of establishment and development of Irkutsk branch of the Krasnoyarsk Specialized School of Militia of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Soviet Union during the 1989–1991, and its subsequent professional-pedagogical transformation. The author dwells on the question of historical-pedagogical peculiarities of the initial stage of recruiting the academic staff of the branch by the scientific personnel. The author explores the professional peculiarities in carrying out educational, service and combat activity of the permanent and nonpermanent staff of the specialized school. In the course of scientific research, the author reveals and analyzes the factors that affected the establishment and development of Irkutsk branch of Krasnoyarsk Specialized School of Militia of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Soviet Union during the transformation of the political system in Russia; as well as explores the peculiarities of implementing  pedagogical activity at the initial stage of the educational institution. The examples of interaction of the cadets and employees of the branch with the divisions of practical authorities. The conducted research is valuable for wide audience, as the establishment and development of departmental education of the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Soviet Union in Baikal region has become a significant event for the educational system of the entire Siberian region.

This study focuses on the interconnection and the integration, namely about the relationship of, education and Alquran. This study is a case study that took Pondok Pesantren Al-Aqobah Diwek Jombang as the research location. There are several arguments that form the basis of this research, firstly, this pesantren is applying both the salafiyah boarding school system and the modern system of education of technology and science. Secondly, santris in this pesantren are required to memorize hadis and Alquran using the principle of one day five verses and one hadis. In a matter of months, santris in this pesantren have studied the science of religion which counts generally should be studied in annual time. This research is a qualitative-explorative study that uses the theory of interconnected-integrative paradigm. In accordance with the research theory, the formulation of the problem taken to conduct this research is “what is the paradigm of Quranic based education and how is it implemented in Pondok Pesantren Al-Aqobah”. The methods of data collection are documentation, observation, and interview. The findings of this study are: (1) Educational and Social Institutions of Pondok Pesantren Al-Aqobah Jombang is an educational institution that offers various programs to develop the potential of santri or students using Alquran as the basis for their education; (2) it uses the MIR (Multiple Intelligence Research) method as an effort to explore various kinds of children's abilities, and so that their potencies can be maximized.

Abstract. The article deals with the problem of transition to a higher level of psychological work in the internal affairs bodies, by narrowing and concretizing the existing knowledge regarding psychocorrectional methods used by departmental psychologists. The use of metaphorical associative tools in psychological correction: metaphorical associative cards, metaphorical dolls (puppet therapy), fairy tale therapy, sand therapy, phototherapy, which can significantly increase the interest of internal affairs personnel in seeking help from a psychologist. According to the included observation, as a result of the application of the method of associative metaphorical cards, there is a positive dynamic in the relationship of police officers in the unit according to the following indicators: empathy, acceptance of others, group cohesion, emotional attachment to the group, tolerance.

<strong>Abstrak:</strong> Asumsi dasar kajian ini adalah hubungan Muslim dan Kristiani di Sumatera Utara berlangsung dalam berbagai domain dimana interaksinya bisa terjadi secara harmonis maupun disharmonis. Berpijak pada asumsi itu, fokus kajian ini akan menelaah bagaimana hubungan Muslim-Kristiani di Sumatera Utara berlangsung pada domain dunia pendidikan. Artikel ini hendak mengkaji hubungan Muslim dan Kristiani dalam dunia pendidikan. Secara khusus, akan diteliti bagaimana hubungan antara tokoh dan lembaga pendidikan Islam dan lembaga pendidikan Kristen dalam membangun kerukunan di Sumatera Utara. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Sosiologi Agama, sedangkan analisa data menggunakan pendekatan analisis domain dan analisis taxonomi yang diajukan Spradley. Kajian ini menemukan bahwa hubungan Muslim-Kristiani berlangsung secara harmonis. Banyak kasus dimana lembaga dan tokoh pendidikan mengadakan kegiatan-kegiatan yang berkaitan dengan kerukunan, selain lahirnya sejumlah karya yang dinilai dapat mendorong perubahan paradigma masyarakat tentang hubungan Islam dan Kristen.<br /> <br /><strong>Abstract: Muslim-Christian Relations in Educational Institution in North Sumatra. </strong>The basic assumption of this study is that the relationship between Muslims and Christians in North Sumatra takes place in various domains where interactions can occur harmoniously and disharmonically. Based on that assumption, the focus of this study is how the Muslim-Christian relationship in North Sumatra takes place in the domain of education. This article will examine the relationship between Muslims and Christians in education. In particular, will be examined how the relationship between figures and institutions of Islamic education and Christian educational institutions in building harmony in North Sumatra. The research was conducted by using Sociology of Religion, while data analysis using domain analysis approach and taxonomy analysis proposed by Spradley. The study found that Muslim-Christian relations are harmonious. Many cases where educational institutions and leaders conduct activities related to harmony, in addition to the birth of a number of works that are considered to encourage a change in the paradigm of society about the relationship of Islam and Christianity.<strong></strong><br /><strong> </strong><br /><strong>Kata Kunci</strong>: Muslim, Kristiani, pendidikan, agama-agama, dialog

ABSTRACTCooperatives as one of the sectors of economic power that is considered the most suitable developed in Indonesia, because formed by members and aims for the welfare of its members. Pesantren as a grassroots Islamic educational institution also develops Koperasi Pondok Pesantren (Kopontren) by fostering farmer groups. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship of individual characteristics (age, education level, length of work, and income level), social capital, and participation of farmer group members in Kopontren Alif agribusiness activities. The result of the research shows that there is no significant correlation between individual characteristic with social capital and participation, except the age relation with participation, but the relation is negative. While social capital with participation has a significant and strong relationship. This is due to the high social capital with the participation of farmer group members in the activities of Kopontren Alif agribusiness.Keywords: farmer groups, individual characteristic, kopontren, social capital, participation. ABSTRAKKoperasi sebagai salah satu sektor kekuatan ekonomi yang dianggap paling cocok dikembangkan di Indonesia, karena dibentuk oleh anggota dan bertujuan untuk kesejahteraan anggotanya. Pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam yang bersifat akar rumput turut mengembangkan koperasi pondok pesantren (Kopontren) dengan membina kelompok tani. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis hubungan karakteristik individu (usia, tingkat pendidikan, lama bekerja, dan tingkat pendapatan), modal sosial, dan partisipasi anggota kelompok tani binaan dalam kegiatan agribisnis Kopontren Alif. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara karakteristik individu dengan modal sosial dan partisipasi, kecuali hubungan usia dengan partisipasi, namun hubungannya negatif. Sedangkan modal sosial dengan partisipasi memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dan kuat. Hal ini dikarenakan tingginya modal sosial dengan partisipasi anggota kelompok tani dalam kegiatan agribisnis Kopontren Alif.Kata kunci: karakteristik individu, kelompok tani, kopontren, modal sosial, partisipasi.

Nowadays, research on employer branding is still growing. A specific focus on branding in the higher education sector is still limited, so this research investigates how employer branding impacts organization citizenship behavior and whether person-organization value fit mediates this relationship on a sample of 332 academic staff members working in the private higher education sector in Egypt. The data collection was performed using a self-administered survey. The research employs correlation and regression analysis to test the research hypotheses.  First, the results revealed a moderately significant effect of employer branding practices on organizational citizenship behavior. Second, person-organization value fit has a positive significant mediation effect on the relationship between employer branding and organizational citizenship behavior. These results will help private universities determine to what extent investing in building a strong employer brand will help retain academic staff members.   Received: 7 October 2020 / Accepted: 11 December 2020 / Published: 17 January 2021

Past studies have confirmed the relationship between organizational justice and supervisory support with perceived organizational support. However, there is lack of research study conducted on examining the relationship of these two dimensions specifically on the academic staff in Malaysian universities. Furthermore, some researchers also found that organizational support and supervisory support are strongly related to perceived organizational support. Hence, the purpose of this conceptual paper is to provide a review and an examination on the relationship of organizational justice and supervisory support on perceived organizational support among academic staff in Malaysian universities. Conceptual framework and hypotheses have been formulated. The target population is academic staff of Malaysian universities. A simple statistical analysis has been conducted such as reliability analysis and descriptive analysis.

This article examines the similarities and differences in the form of state-funded places allocated by the Ministry of Agriculture with the main agrarian changes taking place in Russia and foreign countries. To identify such similarities or refute them, certain evaluation criteria are given, according to which an educational institution would satisfy them. To obtain the real picture of the relationship between allocating state-funded places and the main significant agricultural events, a period of the recent five years was determined. Significant events were understood as everything that could be associated with agriculture: embargo; import; sanctions; allocation of subsidies and non-productivity of various crops, including those in other countries from 2015-2019. In the course of the analytical study, it was revealed that some ongoing agricultural events have an imprint on an increase in state-funded places in certain areas and specialties in the next academic year, or, on the contrary, a decrease in the number of main state-funded places, due to the prevailing favorable conditions for the development of this area. But there are also circumstances associated with the discrepancy between the allocated state-funded places with the ongoing agrarian events in the country, an example of this in 2016-2017, in which Russia loses up to 15 million tons of grain due to a lack of equipment, and the number of places for the direction of “agricultural engineering” decreased by 20 units. In the analysis carried out after each year, it can be said that the relationship between the allocated state-funded places and the main agricultural events is multidirectional.


The increasing use of digital computers in the final stages of the analysis of the structures of molecular crystals now means that the selection of a trial structure for automatic refinement has become the most time-consuming phase of such analyses. This paper shows that in certain types of problem this initial stage can also be carried out on computers, by making use of stereochemical information available at the outset. Examples of the successful application of such methods are given, and ways of increasing their power and flexibility when very fast computers become available are described. The relationship of such geometrical calculations to problems in crystal physics is also indicated, and it is shown that in appropriate cases measurements of, for example, diamagnetic anisotropy can be combined with geometrical results to provide an exceptionally rapid selection of possible molecular orientations.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to explore the relationship between organizational democracy and political behaviors in universities.Design/methodology/approachTo examine the relationship between organizational democracy and political behaviors in higher education institutions, a correlational survey model was utilized. Data were collected from 283 academic staff members.FindingsIt was found that there is a moderate and negative relationship between organizational democracy and the frequency of encountering political behaviors and that organizational democracy predicts the frequency of encountering political behaviors.Originality/valueThese data shed light on the relationship between organizational democracy and political behaviors according to the views of academic staff. The study has provided empirical evidence that political behavior declines in the presence of organizational democracy.
