This study is a mixture of quantitative and qualitative with sequential explanatory designs. The study aims to (1) analyze the improvement of student achievement in learning after scaffolding, (2) evaluate the level of students 'mathematics anxiety, and (3) describe the role of scaffolding in changing students' perceptions of mathematics anxiety in classroom learning. Sampling through random sampling techniques obtained by students of class X-IPA-1 and X-IPA-2 in SMA Negeri 6 Semarang. Quantitative data analysis uses statistical test techniques: normality test, paired sample t-test, and N-gain test. Qualitative data analysis through interactive methods namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validation techniques through the source and method triangulation. The results showed that (1) there was an increase in student learning achievement after the application of the scaffolding strategy by 33.0% to 34.5%; (2) there was a decrease in the level of mathematics anxiety in students by 90.4%; (3) through scaffolding, students succeed in reflecting and correcting mistakes in solving previous problems. This means scaffolding can be an effective strategy to help students move across different Zones of Proximal Development (ZPD). The scaffolding strategy has also created a positive classroom environment that encourages students to learn mathematics without fear.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan peran budaya literasi dalam pembentukan karakter religius anak di Kampoeng Batja Patrang Jember. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan jenis fenomenologi. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis datanya menggunakan analisis interaktuf model Miles, Huberman dan Saldana yaitu pengumpulan data, kondensai data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Untuk menguji keabsahan data yang diperoleh, peneliti menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) Karakter membaca yang terbentuk melaui budaya literasi yang telah diterapkan di Kampoeng Batjaadalah karakter membaca reseptif, reflektif, skimming dan scanning (2) Budaya literasi di Kampoeng Batjadapat membentuk karakter menulis cerita, menulis ayat-ayat Al-quran, menulis kaligrafi, menulis sinopsis, menulis pantun, kegiatan tersebut dilaksanakan dengan bernuansa keagamaan (3) Karakter berbicara yang terbentuk melaui budaya literasi yang telah diterapkan di Kampoeng Batjaadalah karakter berbicara di depan publik dan berbicara interpersonal.  Kata Kunci: budaya literasi, karakter religius The purpose of this study is to describe the role of literacy culture in the creation of the child's religious character in kampoeng batja patrang jember. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a type of phenomenon. Data collection in this study uses observation techniques, interviews and documentation. The data analysis uses miles's and huberman and saldana analysis for data collection, data condenser, data presentation, deduction/verification. To test the validity of the acquired data, researchers used source triangulation and technical triangulation. The study is (1) the character reading through the literated cultures already applied in kampoeng batjais the character of prescriptive, reflective, skimming and scanning (2) of the literated cultures in the kampoeng batjadat forming the character of storywriting, writing of the quran, writing calligraphy, writing synopsis, poetry, The activity was carried out in a religious (3) speaking character through literacy cultures already adopted in kampoeng batjais a public speaking and interpersonal speech.

   This study explores the oral story of the Sasak tribe “The Angel Belt”.  As a literary work, especially oral literature or Sasak stories this study posed that Sasak literary works not only function as an entertainment, or bedtime, but it leads to the low public aspiration of the region’s literature. The research questions of this study were what functions are identified in the folk tales of Angel Belt in Sasak society in Bujak village Batukliang sub-district? This research constituted a descriptive qualitative which described the existence of functions and seen in the story, behavior character, and motivation or action in the role of each character in a story. The analysis began with the determination of informants, data collection data analysis then draw a conclusion. The results show that in the story “Angel Belt” contained the function as follows: a) as a projection system, namely collective reflection tools, b) as a means of consolation, c) as an educational tool, d) as a tool of criticism.

Forest and land fires are a source of air pollution in Pulang Pisau District. This incident has caused various impacts on women's lives, one of which is a decrease in the level of health. The research objective was to determine the impact of forest and land fires on women's health and the role of women in dealing with forest and land fires. This research was conducted in Pulang Pisau District, Central Kalimantan Province. Sources of data used are primary and secondary data collection. Data analysis in this research was conducted descriptively. Based on the results of the study, it shows an increase in the number of ispa cases followed by the intensity level of the number of forest and land fire incidents. One of the beneficiaries of the forest and land fire incidents are women, children and the elderly. The role and involvement of women so far is only to help prepare foodstuffs and participate in extinguishing fires when forest and land fires occur, but there is still a lack of women's involvement in making prevention and socialization efforts related to the impact of forest and land fires.

This study aims to describe the role of teachers as educators in developing the discipline character of students in class IV A 01 Kota Bengkulu Elementary School. This type of research is qualitative research, with descriptive research methods. The subjects of the study were the principal, grade IV A teachers, and grade IV A students. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was performed by data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Testing the validity of the data using extended observations, increasing perseverance and triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the role of the teacher as an educator in developing the character of student discipline has been carried out in class IV A. The role of the teacher in developing the character of student discipline consists of as motivators, facilitators and evaluators. As a motivator the teacher has given encouragement to students to always be disciplined in the classroom, as a facilitator the teacher has provided the facilities needed by students to develop the character of their discipline and as an evaluator the teacher has also conducted an evaluation to see the extent of the development of the discipline character of students in the class.

Camp is one form of non-formal education that is used as a place to live while undergoing language courses. This study is generally aimed at determining the learning society in accelerating the improvement of understanding skills and communication skills in a camp-based English course for students in Mahesa Putri Camp in English Village. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of camp as an enhancer of understanding ability, and the role of camp as an acceleration of communication patterns. The research method used is descriptive qualitative which describes something objectively, based on data analysis conducted at the time of data collection and after data collection. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. In this study, the subjects of the study were managers, tutors and students at Mahesa Putri Camp English Village Pare, Kediri. From the results of the study, it was found that the students experienced an increase in understanding of learning and motivation from activities in the campThe importance of this research to provide and understanding of the existence of camp provides an acceleration in learning english.

Within this paper, a case study of a mathematics module ‘Information Analysis’ for Business and Enterprise students will be presented. The assessment for the module consists of four coursework assignments that are all done within Excel. The content of the module, which includes financial mathematics and data analysis, was carefully selected to be relevant and useful to the students further on in their degree and beyond. The module is based around the development of skills such as IT and communication. The students are required to pay attention to how they use Excel, how they present their work and their explanations. Comments from students are generally positive about the opportunity to develop skills within the module and they recognise the benefits surrounding employability. In addition to lectures and computer tutorials, the students have access to a collection of short video tutorials which contain examples of the Excel techniques. In this case study, the challenges of teaching this module will be explored, including teaching students with different abilities, the limitations of the classroom environment and the problem of mathematics anxiety. Details of the content of the module will be provided along with descriptions of the assessment methods and the teaching methods.

Purpose – Although big data have emerged at the cornerstone of business and management research, past studies have failed to offer explanations and classifications of different levels of capacity and expertise possessed by different countries in utilising big data. The purpose of this paper is to examine the different capacities of governments in utilising big data. Design/methodology/approach – The paper is based on a comprehensive synopsis of the literature on big data and the role of governments in utilising and harnessing big data. Findings – The study provides an array of explanations to account for why some countries are adept at using big data to solve social problems, while others often faltered. Research limitations/implications – The study offers a range of explanations and suggestions, which include skills upgrading, to help countries improve their capabilities in data collection and data analysis. Originality/value – In this paper, data collection-data analysis matrix was developed to characterise the role of governments in data collection and analysis.

The purpose of this research is to describe the role of the school library in supporting the learning process at SMPIT Salman Alfarisi Sleman DIY and to describe and know the library facilities at SMPIT Salman Alfarisi Sleman DIY. This research is descriptive research. Data collection techniques used in this research are through observation, interviews, and documentation study. The subjects of this research are library staff, school principals, teachers and students of SMPIT Salman Alfarisi Sleman DIY. The data analysis technique used descriptive data analysis, through the stages namely data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that; (1) The library facilities of SMPIT Salman Alfarisi Sleman DIY are very narrow rooms, the storage places for the collections are not regular, the room lighting is also not bright, the library room also does not have air ventilation, adding to the library getting darker and infrastructure in the library, namely 2 large bookshelves, 2 small bookshelves, 5 reading chairs, 1 cupboard, 1 magazine rack, 1 desk and chair for library staff, (2) The role of school libraries in supporting the learning process at SMPIT Salman Alfarisi Sleman DIY, the supporting aspects are book collections , the 2013 curriculum book collection available is 44% of the total, loan services that are carried out openly, not computerized and student visits to the library every day are between 5-10 people, then one library staff is in charge of providing services and managing and book collection management is done by making put the inventory number, label it, stamp the school.

This study will describe how the pattern of relations in the management of illegal oil mines in Keluang District with two problem formulations, first what are the factors that shape the power relations between the State and the illegal oil mining group in Keluang District. The second is how the role of each actor and its influence in the case of illegal oil mining in Keluang District? To answer the two problem formulations above, researchers use the theory of rent seeking from Gordon Tullock. The method used in this research is qualitative method. The approach that will be used to support this research is to use a case study approach. In this study, the data will be divided into two types, namely primary and secondary data. Primary data is data obtained in the field through interviews and direct observation at the research site. Secondary data is data obtained from books, papers and documents related to this research. Data analysis used in this study is Analysis Interactive Model from Miles and Huberman which divides the steps in data analysis activities with several parts, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The presence of illegal oil mines  in Keluang District raises a sign where the presence and how the role of the State especially the government involved in the management of natural resources in the case of illegal oil mining in Keluang District.
