The purpose of the study was to examine how project implementation factors (provision of work-space facility, entrepreneurship training and promotion of products) influence the performance of Jua-kali Empowerment Programmes (JEP) in Nairobi County, Kenya. The study was rooted upon theory of constraints and system theory of organization. Both descriptive and correlational survey designs were used in executing the research inquiry. The targeted population was 327 beneficiaries of the JEP in Nairobi County. Using Krejcie and Morgan formula, a sample of 181 beneficiaries was selected. Both simple random sampling and purposive sampling were used to choose the sample elements. Data was gathered using structured questionnaires and informant interview guide. Descriptive statistics like percentages, arithmetic mean and standard deviation as well as inferential statistics regression analysis was used in data analysis. Pearson correlation analysis was used to test relationship between variables and regression analysis was applied in predicting the research model. The reliability of questionnaires was ascertained by Cronbach Alpha Coefficient of reliability (at 0.6668). Fisher (F) tested the research hypothesis at α=0.05 whereby, R= 0.563, R2= 0.317, F (1,145) =5.192 at P=0.000-0.05. Therefore, the null hypothesis was rejected as there was enough evidence to conclude that project implementation factors have significant influence on the performance of Jua-kali Empowerment Programmes. Hence recommendations were made to the implementors of Jua-kali empowerment programmes to ensure that the programmes are not only need based but also implemented in an integrated and coordinated approaches for effective realization of projected deliverables.

The study examined the effects of transformational leadership on employees’ satisfaction, workgroup supportiveness, commitment, and performance at both the individual and at the organizational levels.

A survey study was conducted at the Armorp Nigeria Limited, using a sample of 280 employees. The study sought to investigate specifically the mechanism through which transformational leadership influences employee’s commitment to their job schedules as well as to the organization. Six propositions which explained the relationships among the variables in the study were postulated, five accepted and one partially rejected. Pearson correlation, one way analysis of variance, multiple regression analysis and Chi-square were used in the analysis of data. The results suggest that transformational leadership directly affects employee’s satisfaction and commitment to job schedule and to the organization. But, employee’s commitment to their supervisors was not significant as other intervening variables were at work. The regression analysis reveals that the best indicator of employee satisfaction is workgroup supportiveness. The influence of grapevine interactions within the organization, if properly harnessed by a transformational leader directly results in essential mechanism that subsequently leads to employee’s satisfaction, commitment, and increased performance. Monetary incentives if closely tied to motivation might be helpful in creating a more satisfying and productive work environment. This study thus, suggests a new paradigm in which the study of leadership can be based in African setting in order to create effective and viable organizations.

The aim of the study is to understand the influential factors of tourists’ satisfaction with selected tourism destinations at Cumilla region in Bangladesh. Data are collected from 300 visitors’ by survey technique through a designed questionnaire with 5-point Likert scales. Simple random sampling method is used. Data are analyzed using frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and regression analysis. From the results of regression analysis, the study is found that product, promotion, people, and psychical evidence as to the vital factors, which significantly effect tourists’ satisfaction. Therefore, it is suggested that the study creates consciousness among prospective tourists, researchers, academicians, government authorities, tourism businesses, politicians, and all the stakeholders, and also the tourism industry can be benefited knowing the factors of tourists’ satisfaction.
The purpose of this paper is to assess the relationship between job motivation, compensation satisfaction and employees’ job satisfaction in tax organization. In this study, survey research method has been used to collect required data. For the purpose of this case study, a 210 people sample has been selected from research population using simple random sampling method. In order to measure employees’ job satisfaction, Susan J Linz (2002) questionnaire and in order to measure compensation satisfaction Ogenyi Ejye Omar’s model (2006) has been used. This model includes four factors; Payment Justice, Organizational designed procedures, supervisor and performance-based pay. Also Herzberg and Kitchener model has been used to measure employees’ motivation. Data analysis with Pearson correlation coefficient shows a positive relation between job motivation and compensation satisfaction. Qualitative approach implies that organizational justice in payments in important and employees who feel financially discriminated, their job satisfaction is lower compared to other employees.

AbstractThe main purpose of this paper is to investigate factors that influence taxpayers to engage in tax evasion. The researcher used descriptive and explanatory research design and followed a quantitative research approach. To undertake this study, primary and secondary data has been utilized. From the target population of 4979, by using a stratified and simple random sampling technique, 370 respondents were selected. To verify the data quality, the exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was conducted for each variable measurements. After factor analysis has been done, the data were analyzed by using Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis. The finding of the study revealed that the relationship between the study independent variables with the dependent variable was positive and statistically significant. The regression analysis also indicates that tax fairness, tax knowledge, and moral obligation significantly influence taxpayers to engage in tax evasion, and the remaining moral obligation and subjective norms were not statistically significant to influence taxpayers to engage in tax evasion.
