The purpose of the study was to examine how project implementation factors (provision of work-space facility, entrepreneurship training and promotion of products) influence the performance of Jua-kali Empowerment Programmes (JEP) in Nairobi County, Kenya. The study was rooted upon theory of constraints and system theory of organization. Both descriptive and correlational survey designs were used in executing the research inquiry. The targeted population was 327 beneficiaries of the JEP in Nairobi County. Using Krejcie and Morgan formula, a sample of 181 beneficiaries was selected. Both simple random sampling and purposive sampling were used to choose the sample elements. Data was gathered using structured questionnaires and informant interview guide. Descriptive statistics like percentages, arithmetic mean and standard deviation as well as inferential statistics regression analysis was used in data analysis. Pearson correlation analysis was used to test relationship between variables and regression analysis was applied in predicting the research model. The reliability of questionnaires was ascertained by Cronbach Alpha Coefficient of reliability (at 0.6668). Fisher (F) tested the research hypothesis at α=0.05 whereby, R= 0.563, R2= 0.317, F (1,145) =5.192 at P=0.000-0.05. Therefore, the null hypothesis was rejected as there was enough evidence to conclude that project implementation factors have significant influence on the performance of Jua-kali Empowerment Programmes. Hence recommendations were made to the implementors of Jua-kali empowerment programmes to ensure that the programmes are not only need based but also implemented in an integrated and coordinated approaches for effective realization of projected deliverables.

The shared economy occupies through shared accommodation a full-featured position in many economies of the world and the extent of its impact can be expressed in various ways. In addition, the price of accommodation appears to be a sufficiently objective, measurable, and comparable element to other statistical instruments of the economic environment. In the article, we use statistical methods of correlation and regression analysis to express the relationships between the dependent variable in the form of the price of shared accommodation in European Union countries and other economic indicators of the macroenvironment and the tourism industry, which thus represent an independent variable. The results signal that shared accommodation prices shows a higher degree of correlation with other indicators of the tourism sector than with other macroeconomic indicators in individual countries. Key words: Shared Economy. Shared Accommodation Prices, Airbnb, Regression and Correlation

BACKGROUND Humanistic caring ability is one of the core abilities that nurses need to possess. There are few studies on the influential factors that impact humanistic caring ability in clinical nursing students, and on the association between professional identity, positive mental character and humanistic caring ability. OBJECTIVE This study aims to determine the association between professional identity, positive mental character and humanistic caring ability in Chinese clinical nursing students. METHODS The study was a cross-sectional survey. Of 981 clinical nursing students were recruited from hospitals in Changsha, Hunan, China. Self-administered questionnaires were completed, including Humanistic Caring Ability of Nursing Undergraduates Assessment Scale(HCANU), Professional Identity Scale for Nurse Students(PIQNS) and Positive Mental Characters Scale for Chinese College Students(PMCS-CCS). In this study, the level of nursing students’ humanistic caring ability was identified. Pearson correlation analysis was carried out to identify the association between professional identity, positive mental characters and humanistic caring ability for nursing students. Liner regression analysis was performed with humanistic caring ability as the outcome variable in order to confirm factors associated with humanistic caring ability. RESULTS A total of 981 clinical nursing students was recruited. The mean scores of nursing students’ humanistic caring ability, professional identity and positive mental character were 125.94±21.19, 62.32±11.23, 233.18±38.59, respectively. The Pearson correlation results showed that professional identity (r = 0.578, P < 0.001) and positive mental character (r = 0.655, P < 0.001) were significantly associated with humanistic caring ability. Multiple linear regression analysis indicated that education (β = -0.161, P=0.009), three dimensions of professional self-image (β = 0.271, P=0.028), career choice independence (β = 0.228, P<0.001), and social comparison and self-reflection (β = -0.102, P=0.018) in their professional identity as well as three dimensions of courage (β = 0.269, P=0.024), humanity (β = 0.303, P=0.001 ), justice (β = 0.0.253, P=0.004 ) and transcendence (β= 0.004, P=0.036) in positive mental character were found to be independent predictors of humanistic caring ability. CONCLUSIONS This study indicates a significant association between professional identity, positive mental character and humanistic caring ability in clinical nursing students. These results suggest that professional identity and positive mental character are important considerations in the development, implementation and evaluation of humanistic caring ability interventions.

This paper summarizes the arguments and counterarguments within the scientific discussion on the key indicators of the insurance market. The research’s primary purpose is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the main indicators of the insurance market of Western Europe with the visualization of the results. Insurance markets are adapting to a single trade regime in insurance services. It is formed under the influence of national and regional economic development strategies. The experience of integration in the insurance markets of the European Union shows that not all countries benefit equally from integration processes. The relevance of the decision of this scientific problem is caused by сomparative analysis of the share of European countries in the world market by volume insurance premiums. It showed a broad scope, reflecting the high-level asymmetries in the development of the insurance market, as the most developed to less developed countries of Europe. Investigation of the topic of theoretical principles of insurance in the paper is carried out in the following logical sequence: selection of input indicators; analysis of the dynamics and structure of indicators of the insurance market of Western Europe; research of insurance market indicators using correlation and regression analysis; visualization of the results. The research methods’ methodological tools were basic descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression analysis. The period of research is 2009-2019. Given the results obtained, we can say that the dynamics of change in the studied indicators are abrupt. Some indicators have a clear trend to change, in particular, the share of life insurance. Given the structural analysis, the following results were obtained. The largest share of the country’s insurance market share among OECD countries is observed in the following countries: Germany and France. The Czech Republic and Latvia occupy the smallest share in this indicator. Correlation-regression analysis shows an increase in the total number of insurance premiums (fees for the insurance company’s services) shows an increase in the general interest of the population in insurance services, which will contribute to the growth of all areas of insurance.
