AbstractThis study aims to describe the role of information and communication technology in Indonesian language learning in tertiary institutions. The research method is in the form of literature review or literature study. This research examines critically and deeply the theoretical sources associated with the problems in research. Based on the research results, the following conclusions can be drawn. (1) Information and communication technology is related to communication and information, computers, and a set of other technology-based tools that are experiencing rapid development and affecting education in Indonesia, especially in Indonesian language learning in tertiary institutions. Information and communication technology can be used as a means for compiling data and so on relating to education, especially in learning; (2) Learning has a meaning as a process to gain an experience in accordance with the purpose of a lesson, in learning Indonesian, an attractive medium is needed so that students are more interested in learning. Information and communication technology can be used as a means to increase student interest in learning Indonesian; (3) information and communication technology can be utilized in the four competencies that exist in Indonesian, namely writing, speaking, listening, and reading. Through the use of information and communication technology, it can improve the quality of lessons, student quality, student interest, and at the same time improve the quality of lecturers in technology.  Keywords: Information and Communication Technology, Indonesian Language Learning, Higher Education

The rapid development of information and communication technology or what is known as Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has penetrated various fields of life, including education and teaching. With regard to learning, the use of information technology, in this case, e-learning, is needed not only for educators who are skilled at utilizing technology and technology for the manufacture of teaching materials, but a design is needed to carry out learning effectively. In a learning design (instructional design) there is a process to guide actors (actors) to design, develop, implement e-learning content by utilizing the available e-learning infrastructure and applications. At the next stage in the implementation of e-learning, there is an evaluation stage which is used to revise or adjust to the previous stages. A good educational institution must develop teachers by providing various facilities to support the teaching and learning process. Teachers can replace it with a new method in the form of video or audio that has been combined with the teaching material they want to convey. As technology develops, mobile or smartphone versions of e-Learning can be compatible with the features available in conventional learning so that the quality of content in the form of subject matter can be accessed properly.

Multicultural - Sufistic Da'wah is interesting to discuss, considering that multicultural and Sufistic preaching has long been a feature of Islamic preaching in Indonesia. However, in its development, the pattern of people's lives has undergone significant changes. One of them is the rapid growth of information and communication technology that has created a spiritually fragile millennial. The role of multicultural and Sufistic preaching is considered very important in guarding millennial Moslem's life. This article concludes that Sufistic da'wah's need is significant for the millennial generation to guide spirituality and modern religious identity through a qualitative approach with this type of literature study research. At the same time, growing diversity requires a complementary approach, namely the preaching of multiculturalism to guard the plurality of diversity in the millennial era. The two of them have a significant relationship to reach the Ulul Albab generation

Literacy is very important in human life since by being literate, people will be able to gain information. This paper discusses about the changing of old literacy to a new literacy. This changing brings effects to many aspects of life including in education. This paper shows how a new literacy which is known by ICT (information and communication technology) can develop student’s character. This new ICT has  positive and negative effects. The counters only focus on explaining the positive effect of technology that is to build and improve the trustworthy, respect, diligence, responsibility, and courage. Building good student’s character can create good future leadership. Because of that student’s should be equipped with the ability of code-breaking, making- meaning, text-using, and text-analyzing. At the end, all parties (government, teachers, parents, etc) have to collaborate to use ICT in order to improve the quality of our education. Literasi sangat penting dalam kehidupan manusia karena dengan menjadi melek, orang akan dapat memperoleh informasi. Makalah ini membahas tentang perubahan literasi lama ke literasi baru. Perubahan ini membawa efek ke banyak aspek kehidupan termasuk dalam bidang pendidikan. Makalah ini menunjukkan bagaimana literasi baru yang dikenal dengan ICT (teknologi informasi dan komunikasi) dapat mengembangkan karakter siswa. ICT baru ini akan memiliki efek positif dan negatif. Kami hanya fokus pada menjelaskan efek positif dari teknologi itu adalah untuk membangun dan meningkatkan kepercayaan, menghormati, ketekunan, tanggung jawab, dan keberanian. Membangun karakter siswa yang baik dapat menciptakan pemimpin masa depan yang baik. Sehubungan dengan itu siswa harus dilengkapi dengan kemampuan pemecahan kode, memaknai hasil, menggunakan teks, dan analisis teks. Pada akhirnya, semua pihak (pemerintah, guru, orang tua, dan lain-lain) harus berkolaborasi untuk menggunakan ICT dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan kita.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana sebuah pembelajaran demokratis yang ideal dapat dikembangkan dengan mempertimbangkan penggunaan metode yang relevan dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Jenis riset yang digunakan dalam artikel ini adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif yaitu riset yang didasarkan pada upaya mengonstruksi pandangan terhadap objek penelitian secara rinci, dibentuk dengan menggunakan kata-kata, gambaran yang bersifat holistic dan kompleks. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif analitik yaitu penelitian yang dimaksudkan untuk menggali dan menemukan data yang mengandung makna yang mendalam, serta menelaah masalah yang ada pada saat ini. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode studi pustaka, yaitu dengan memilah sumber-sumber referensi dan literature ilmiah yang terkait dengan teori-teori pendidikan dan pembelajaran demokratis, pembelajaran berbasis teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, serta perkembangan teknologi pendidikan di era revolosi industri 4.0. Data-data yang telah ditemukan kemudian dikaji dan dianalisis untuk kemudian disajikan dalam tulisan yang sistematis. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan demokratis di era pendidikan 4.0 ini membutuhkan peran guru yang mampu menyesuaikan dirinya dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi di bidang pembelajaran.AbstractThis study aims to examine how ideal democratic learning can be developed by considering the use of methods that are relevant to the development of information and communication technology. This type of research used in this article is a type of qualitative research that is research-based on efforts to construct views of the object of research in detail, formed using words, images that are holistic and complex. This study uses a descriptive-analytic approach which is to explore and find data that contains profound meanings, as well as examining existing problems at the moment. Data collection techniques using literature study, by sorting sources of references and scientific literature related to theories of education and democratic learning, ICT-based learning, and the development of educational technology in the industrial revolution era 4.0. The data that has been found is then reviewed and analyzed and then presented in systematic writing.  The results of this study indicate that democratic education in the 4.0 education era requires the role of teachers who are able to adjust themselves to the development of information and communication technology

This study discusses the implementation of information technology-based learning media to increase interest in learning on the subjects of PAI. Media serves as a tool that also plays an important role. In today's technological advancement enables students to learn from anywhere and anytime and anywhere by utilizing technology results. Through the use of various sources, it is expected that the quality of learning will increase. Information Technology as a medium of learning is a media set of tools and technology resources used to communicate, create, disseminate, store and process information or technology that can reduce space and time constraints to retrieve, move, analyze, present, store and transmit data information into information. In recent years, information and communication technology (ICT) has become embedded and affected the every aspect of our lives. Rapid development of ICT has changed our language teaching pedagogy at all levels. Teachers, curriculum developers, researchers have been constantly striving to find techniques to use some form of it to both assist and enhance language learning. What is more exciting is that studies have demonstrated positive effects that ICT brings towards students' learning motivation (Chenoweth, Ushida & Murday, 2006; Stepp- Greany, 2002), students' personal needs and learning styles (Gimenez, 2000), students' language mastery (Stepp-Greany, 2002), effective teaching and learning process (Al-Jarf, 2004), etc. Although these studies have shown that ICT has the potential important role in supporting and enhancing language learning, the use of ICT should never be the goal in and of itself. The responsibility for language instruction should be in the hands of qualified teachers who have the knowledge and expertise to manage and to make the best use of it to accomplish learning objectives.

So far, in implementing school strategies, they tend not to utilize Information and Communication Technology (ICT), despite the availability of ICT resources available. Stages of strategic management are needed to generate the vision, mission, objectives, policy, program, budget, and procedures as well as control and evaluation process as an effort to utilize ICT to improve school quality. Based on the interpretation and the results of the study, it is concluded that schools have organized stages in strategic management that enable schools to have a quality profile. The impact of effective utilization of ICTs for schools is the achievement of effective school management, as per the National Education Standards, which is characterized by effective planning, implementation, control, and evaluation of school ICTs.The purpose of this study is to get a general description, describe, and reveal the Strategic Management of Information and Communication Technology Utilization to Improve the Quality of School Learning in Ciledug Al Musaddadiyah Vocational High School and Garut 1 Vocational High School, both on environmental analysis, strategic formulation, implementation and strategic evaluation. The research method used in this research is the case study method, because the problems studied occur in the place and situation of Ciledug Al Musaddadiyah Vocational School and Vocational High School 1 Garut. The use of case study models in this study is based on the consideration that to provide an overview of the strategic management activities of the use of ICTs carried out at vocational high schools with the ultimate goal of being able to improve the quality of school learning. Based on observations in the field of SMK 1 Garut and SMK Al Musaddadiyah Ciledug Garut is one of the public schools and private schools that have these advantages.

If we want to convert our rural population into knowledge driven, progressive, self sufficient, self reliant, sustainable society, the role of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT’s) cannot be ignored. Timely availability information is considered as most important factor in Indian agriculture. At present ICT is the technology of this millennium. Transferring the developed technology to all end users is time-consuming and tiresome task and is often not completed due to paucity of resources and lack of manpower. In the last few decades, Information Technology has transformed the entire world into a village, known as Global Village, as proposed by Marshal McLuhan. ICT has increased its influence in every field like the education sector, defense sector, technology etc. In the 21st century, information and communication technology (ICT) has become an important and integral part of most educational organizations throughout the world.. The use of ICT in classroom teaching and learning processes has become indispensable as it gives teachers and learners the opportunity to operate, store, control and retrieve data in addition to promoting self-regulated and active learning. (Ali, Haolader & Muhammad, 2013) Today we are dependent on technology and the role of ICT is increasing day by day and is believed to be a new normal. Keeping that in view, the present paper attempts to examine the relationship between information and communication technologies (ICT) and student learning. This conceptual paper  is based on secondary information collected from different sources such as books, journal articles, newspapers, reports of various government organizations, non-governmental organizations and soon.
