The problems of this research focused on the planning, implementation and obstacles of applying a scientific approach to thematic spider web learning models, aiming at making learners more active, critical thinking, the direct process experienced by the learners, the learning could be more meaningful, contextual and fun. This research was conducted at  SDN (State Elementary School) 07 and  SDN 36 at Sungai Ambawang District. It is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of this research were the educators and the students of grade IV at SDN 07 and SDN 36 of Sungai Ambawang District. The techniques of data collection used were observation, interview, and documentation study. Data analysis was conducted through the steps: data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The technique for examining data validity was by triangulation. The results revealed that the educators had implemented the scientific approach on the thematic spider web learning model. The scientific approach implemented, includes: (1) observing, (2) questioning, (3) trying, (4) reasoning, and (5) communicating. The obstacles encountered in this lesson were lack of adequate facilities and infrastructure, the ability of their educators in mastering the learning strategy, and the low-level participation of some parents who were less concerned about their children's education and also the different characteristics of the learners.

The method used is a mix method with sequential explanatory strategy, a strategy is applied by collecting and analyzing quantitative data in the first stage, in this study data collection and analysis of multiple intelligence enhancements, followed by qualitative data collection and analysis in the second stage, obstacles students in developing multiple intelligences built based on quantitative initial results. The subjects were students of PGSD STKIP NU Indramayu who attended the basic science concepts course. The instruments used in the form of tests and interviews. The results showed an increase in multiple intelligence students after scientific approached thematic learning seen from the results of the N-gain test analysis increased by 0.41 in the medium category. Obstacles in increasing multiple intelligence students are 3, students have difficulty in analyzing existing data from the results of the study, students have difficulty in working on calculation problems, and students have difficulty in predicting a problem.

This study aims to determine the Communication Skills of Elementary School teachers through the implementation of the Scientific Approach in Integrative Thematic Learning. this research was conducted on cluster IX Surakarta as many as 10 teachers. The research method used is a qualitative research method with participant observation techniques, interviews and documentation. Participant observation place when Integrative Thematic Learning with the Scientific Approach was carried out by teachers. The validity of the data is done by triangulation techniques which include: triangulation of methods, data and sources. the results of the study indicate that the Scientific Approach provides opportunities for teachers to think critically and creatively in broadening their learning horizons. where as Integrative Thematic Learning helps teachers and students collaborate, express as, find problems, determine alternative problem solving and interact with each other. The implementation of Scientific Approach in Integrative Thematic Learning builds interpersonal communication and intrapersonal communication in everyday life, Communication Skills is a need to interact with each other through dialogue, listening, asking questions, delivering messages and talking politely with others. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of the Scientific Approach provides opportunities for teachers and students to interact, talk effectively, communicate in Integrative Thematic Learning. the conclusion is the teacher Communication Skills are trained and formed effectively to improve Communication Skills through effective learning, varying models, strategies, methods, and techniques in a variety of ways.

The difficulty of students to understand science concepts in thematic learning requires innovation of the appropriate teaching materials. Meanwhile, the existence of salt ponds around students can be used as oriented outdoor learning. Therefore, this study aims to develop ethnoscience-based thematic modules implemented through outdoor learning strategies. The subjects were 40 grade VI students at Public Elementary School (or called SDN) Padelegan Pamekasan with different academic abilities and gender. The test results of learning data validity and effectiveness of modules were obtained through observation sheet instruments and questionnaires. According to the results, (1) validity modules were in the valid category, based on assessment of material and learning design experts, (2) the module’s effectiveness is in the effective category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the module strategy is worth using and improving science understanding for thematic learning in elementary schools.

This community service aims (1). Providing a scientific basis for elementary school teachers in implementing learning that is oriented towards active, effective and enjoyable learning. (2). Provide theoretical clarity and a better understanding of learning, learning objects and the situations and conditions of learning in elementary schools. (3). Contribute ideas to education managers in an effort to improve teacher professional competency and learner ability in elementary schools, especially at SD Kestalan Surakarta. Community service is carried out in an effort to deliver competence in terms of Integrative Thematic Learning Intensity through Scientific Approach at Kestalan Elementary School Surakarta as a partner school in the Surakarta Teacher Training and Education Faculty, followed by 26 teachers and Principals with a 6-hour implementation period, starting at 8:00 p.m. until 15:00 p.m. The outcome of this community service is that community service resulted in the delivery of material on the Scientific approach to integrative thematic learning in Primary Schools in an effort to optimize teacher understanding and implementation in primary schools in general and SD Kestalan Surakarta in particular. The expected results from the implementation of this service can provide an understanding of the Intensity of Integrative Thematic Learning through the Scientific Approach in Primary Schools. So Kestalan Surakarta Elementary School teachers have 90 percent of the ability to Integrative Thematic Learning through the Scientific Approach in Primary Schools. So that the teachers can transmit their understanding to fellow teachers in the Dabin and Gugus areas as well as primary school teacher meetings. Internalizing the value of character in primary school children is fundamental, but the reality in school teachers is still difficult to do because of the inappropriateness of the approach used. The solution needs to be addressed by a scientific approach so that this study is expected to describe the design of learning to its implementation. This research uses the method of description through class action done by students peer teaching fellow colleagues. The findings show that the design of value internalization in scientific learning can be done well by the students from the mapping of themed concepts and sub-themes to the determination of KI, KD, Indicator, objective formulation, activities, and integrated evaluation of attitudes, skills, and knowledge in an integrated manner. Similarly, the well-packed implementation of the initial activity, the core activities to the final activity, it looks the scientific nuances that deliver the internalization of values on the participants of learning that will personally on themselves as individuals who are pious, noble, intelligent, skilled, creative , discipline, independence, responsibility and democratic. This achievement cannot be separated from the various obstacles experienced by students but can be overcome, so as not to reduce the acquisition of expected learning outcomes. The results of this study are expected to be used as a basic capital for the development of thematic learning either for the needs of students who are teaching in elementary school or for the development of integrated therapeutic learning in elementary school.

The preliminary survey in Elementary School in Lima Puluh Kota District showed that the textbook for thematic learning was not in accordance with the principles of integrated learning and not yet in accordance with the around environment of the students, so that the lesson was not understood of the students. therefore the purpose of this study is to develop integrated thematic textbooks using the scientific approach valid, practical and effective. The research used the four D model of Tiagahajan that consist of 4 stages, namely: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research instruments were observation sheets, validation sheets, questionnaires, learning outcomes tests. The results showed that integrated thematic textbooks with a scientific approach include valid categories based on expert judgment. Textbooks include very practical categories based on teacher and student responses. Effectiveness of textbooks based on student learning activities and mastery learning. The most of students were active in learning. The student learning outcome in the knowledge, skills, and attitudes domain has been include the mastery learning category for the most of students (more than 85%). Thus it can be concluded that integrated thematic textbooks with scientific approaches were feasibility of being used as reference books in Elementary School.
