В статье обсуждается изменение свойств диффузионно-твердеющего припоя в зависимости от состава жидкометаллической компоненты на основе легкоплавких сплавов галлия: галлий-олово, галлий-индий-олово и галлий-олово-цинк при взаимодействии с порошком сплава медь-олово (ПМОСФ5) подвергнутых низкотемпературной (125 °С) и высокотемпературной (500 °С) термической обработке. Механические свойства оценены измерением микротвердости, а термические исследованы методом дифференциально-термического анализа. Термическая обработка при высоких температурах способствует переходу припоя в равновесное состояние, при этом происходит значительное увеличение твердости. По графикам дифференциальнотермического анализа рассчитаны экзотермические эффекты. Методом рентгенофазового анализа определены образующиеся в результате диффузионного твердения фазы. Показано, что при различных температурах обработки образуются разные фазы - наноразмерные интерметаллические соединения. Экспериментально доказано улучшение механических свойств диффузионно-твердеющего припоя при наличии цинка растворенного в галлиевом жидком сплаве. The article discusses the change in the properties of diffusion-hardening solder in dependence on the composition of the liquid metal component based on low-melting gallium alloys: gallium-tin, gallium-indium-tin and gallium-tin-zinc when interacting with the Spherical copper-tin alloy powder (SCTAP5) subjected to low-temperature (125 °С) and high-temperature (500 °С) heat treatment. The mechanical properties were evaluated by measuring the microhardness, and the thermal properties were studied by differential thermal analysis. Heat treatment at high temperatures promotes the transition of the solder to an equilibrium state, with a significant increase in hardness. The thermal effects of heat treatment of diffusion-hardening solders are calculated and compared. The phases formed as a result of hardening are determined by X-ray phase analysis. It is shown that different phases and nanoscale intermetallic compounds are formed at different processing temperatures. The improvement of the mechanical properties of diffusion-hardening solder in the presence of zinc dissolved in a gallium liquid alloy has been experimentally proved.

Natural stones (limestones, granites, and marble) from mines located in northeastern Brazil were investigated to discover their potential for use in civil construction. The natural stones were characterized by chemical analysis, X-ray diffraction, differential thermal analysis, and optical microscopy. The physical-mechanical properties (apparent density, porosity, water absorption, compressive and flexural strength, impact, and abrasion) and chemical resistance properties were also evaluated. The results of the physical-mechanical analysis indicated that the natural stones investigated have the potential to be used in different environments (interior, exterior), taking into account factors such as people’s circulation and exposure to chemical agents.

AbstractThermal analyses of samples of thorium dicarbide in equilibrium with graphite show arrests which indicate phase transitions at 1427 ± 21°C arid 1481 ± 28°C. These thermal effects have been observed on heating and cooling both in standard thermal analysis and in differential thermal analysis using graphite as a reference material. The microstructure of thorium dicarbide samples shows the characteristic “herringbone” pattern of a material which has undergone a martensitic-type transition.A high-temperature X-ray investigation has revealed that the observed thermal arrests correspond to erystallographic transformations. The monodinic modification found at room temperature is stable to 1427°C, at which temperature a tetragonal modification with a0 = 4.235 ± 0.002Å and c0 = 5.408 ± 0.002Å is formed. At 1481°C, the tetragonal is transformed to cubic with a0 = 5.809 ± 0.002 Å. The best agreement between observed and calculated intensities has been obtained with C-C units of 1.5-Å assumed bond length in space groups P42/mmc and Pa3 for the tetragonal and cubic modifications, respectively.

The Fe2O3-CaO-SiO2 glass ceramics were prepared by the method of quenching and controlled crystallisation. Differential thermal analysis, X-ray diffractometry and vibrating sample magnetometer were used to study the crystallisation and magnetic properties of Fe2O3-CaO-SiO2 glass ceramics. It was concluded that the main crystalline phases of glass ceramics during the process were Hematite, Iron Silico Oxide and Hedenbergite. The saturation magnetisation values (Ms) of glass ceramics varied between 108 emu•g-1 and 147 emu•g-1. The crystallisation of Hedenbergite lead to the high Hc value (~2000Oe).

Series of glasses based on (75-x)TeO2-15MgO-10Na2O-xNd2O3, where x=0, 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0, are synthesized by conventional melt-quenching technique. The nanoglass particles are derived from heat treatment of this glass near crystallisation temperature for 3 hours. The existence of nanocrystalline nature of this glass is confirmed by x-ray diffraction (XRD) technique followed by calculation using Scherrer equation. Meanwhile, the crystallization temperature, Tc determined using Differential thermal analysis (DTA). The fluorescence spectra of Nd3+ions exhibit emission transition of2P3/24I9/2,4G7/24I9/2,2H11/24I9/2, and4F9/24I9/2under 765 nm excitation wavelengths.

The synthesis of alloys of the system was carried out stepwise in rotary furnaces. The synthesis mode was selected based on the physicochemical properties of the elementary components. For homogenization, the alloys were subjected to isothermal annealing at 750 and 1275 K, depending on the Tm2Te3 concentration, for 250 h after homogenization of the alloys, they were subjected to physicochemical analysis. The results of differential thermal analysis showed that reversible thermal effects are observed in the alloys of the system. In alloys in a 1: 1 ratio, a new intermediate phase is formed with a composition corresponding to the TmAsTe3 compound. The homogeneity area is observed in the concentration range 52.5-47.5. It was found that in the concentration range 98.5-52.5 Tm2Te3 there are two phases - a mixture of β and of the solid solution, and in the concentration range of 47.51 mol% Tm2Te3 phases and α are in equilibrium. ) 66 The eutectic has coordinates of 11.5 mol Tm2Te3 at a temperature of 575 K.

Sebuah penelitian tentang sistem dispersi padat dari asiklovir dengan poloxamer 188 telah dilakukan formulasi dengan pencampuran secara fisika dengan rasio 1 : 1, 1 : 3, 1 : 5 dan dispersi padat 1 : 1, 1 : 3, 1 : 5 dan penggilingan 1:1 sebagai pembanding. Dispersi padat dibuat menggunakan metode pencairan (fusi), yang digabung dengan poloxamer 188 pada hotplate kemudian asiklovir dimasukkan ke dalam hasil poloxamer 188 lalu di kocok hingga membentuk masa homogen. Semua formula yang terbentuk termasuk asiklovir poloxamer 188 murni dianalisis karakterisasinya dengan Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA), X-ray Diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), dan Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), kemudian pengambilan dilakukan  (penentuan kadar) mengunakan spektrofotometer UV pada panjang gelombang 257,08 nm dan uji laju disolusi dengan aquadest bebas CO2 menggunakan metode dayung. Hasil pengambilan  (penentuan kadar) menunjukkan bahwa semua formula memenuhi persyaratan farmakope Amerika edisi 30 dan farmakope Indonesia edisi 4 yaitu 95-110%. Sedangkan hasil uji laju disolusi untuk campuran fisik 1: 1, dan dispersi padat 1: 1, dan penggilingan 1: 1 menunjukkan peningkatan yang nyata dibandingkan asiklovir murni. Hal ini juga dapat dilihat dari hasil perhitungan statistik  menggunakan analisis varian satu arah  SPSS 17.

The structure of single crystals of the organic metals α- and β-(BEDT-TTF)2I3* was determined at 100 K, well below the phase transitions indicated by resistivity and thermopower measurements as well as by differential thermal analysis. In the α-phase no unusual change of the room temperature unit cell but a slight variation in the triiodide network and especially a more pronounced dimerization in one of the two donor stacks have been found. The β-phase develops a superstructure with a unit cell volume three times as large as that at room temperature and with pronounced distortions of the I3--ions.

ABSTRACTNineteen roman ceramic sherds found near Salobreña (Granada, Spain), in the western coast of the Mediterranean Sea, as well as different ceramic clays from the surroundingsare studied. Both clays and ceramic sherds are characterizad by X-ray diffraction and spectrometry, differential thermal analysis, and scanning electron and optical microscopies. A good number of the ceramic pieces, among which some “Terrae Sigillatae”, have a composition similar to that of the local clays and, thus, have been probably manufactured at Salobreña. Only a few of them have a foreign origin. For most of them, the firing temperature was about 800-850 °C, although some have been produced at 900-1000 °C, and some others at 1000-1100 °C. It is concluded that Salobreña appearsto have been an important settlement just in the third century of the Christian era.

The influence of the Al content on the phase transformations in Cu-Al-Ag alloys was studied by classical differential thermal analysis (DTA), optical microscopy (OM) and X-ray diffractometry (XRD). The results indicated that the increase in the Al content and the presence of Ag decrease the rate of the <FONT FACE=Symbol>b</font>1 phase decomposition reaction and contribute for the raise of this transition temperature, thus decreasing the stability range of the perlitic phase resulted from the b1 decomposition reaction.

In order to utilization the molybdenum tailings which be deposited in large quantities. Test used it to prepare glass-ceramics as main raw material, TiO2 as nucleation agents and CaO-Al2O3-SiO2 system and wollastonite as the principal crystalline phase. Heat treatment system of glass-ceramics was based on the differential thermal analysis. The crystalline phase, microstructure and characteristics of glass-ceramics were analysis by XRD, SEM and physical, chemical properties test. The result shows that the performance of glass-ceramics was superior to the other types of building decoration stone.
