The purpose of the study is to assess the clinical feasibility and indicators of instrumental impedance measurement in patients who are at various stages of the cardiovascular continuum, in order to increase the effectiveness of measures for the prevention and treatment of non-communicable diseases in Ukraine by improving the diagnosis and prevention of non-communicable diseases through the introduction of modern science-intensive technologies into medical practice. Materials and methods. An open, non-randomized controlled study was performed with the assessment of examination on a BF 500 body composition monitor (model HBF-500-E, Omron Healthcare, Japan) in 186 functionally healthy individuals (control; in 75 respondents of professional athletes (group K1), in 111 respondents – intern doctors (group K2)) and in 253 patients with non-communicable diseases (main group). The patients were divided into four subgroups (Pg1, Pg2, Pg3, Pg4) depending on the stage of the cardiovascular continuum. Results and discussion. Non-compliance with the norm of body composition was found in 83% of respondents in group K2 and in 100% of patients. 83% of people were deficient in muscle, 23% had preobesity, 6% were obese, and 5% had visceral obesity. Overweight by body mass index was in 30% of Pg1 patients, in 31% of Pg2 patients, in 30% of Pg3 patients, in 37% of Pg4 patients and obesity was in 32% of Pg1 patients, in 31% of Pg2 patients, in 25% of Pg3 patients, in 35% of Pg4 patients. Overweight in the percentage of fat was diagnosed in 17% of Pg1 patients, in 31% of Pg2 patients, in 21% of Pg3 patients, in 37% of Pg4 patients; obesity was in 37% of Pg1 patients, in 48% of Pg2 patients, in 56% of Pg3 patients, in 51% of Pg4 patients. Visceral obesity was diagnosed in 35% of Pg1 patients, in 56% of Pg2 patients, in 60% of Pg3 patients, in 77% of Pg4 patients. Deficiency of muscle percentage was found in 85% of Pg1 patients, in 91% of Pg2 patients, in 89% of Pg3 patients, and in 88% of Pg4 patients. Conclusion. Instrumental impedance measurement shows clinical significance and should become a mandatory method of Objective Structured Clinical Examination. The body composition of patients with non-communicable diseases is characterized by an increase in energy expenditure of the main metabolism, general and visceral obesity, muscle deficiency. The degree and number of cases of violation of body composition increases with the progression of the cardiovascular continuum

Objective — to assess the clinical and diagnostic efficiency of the method for determining the personified correction of the patient’s lifestyle targeted on the increase the effectiveness of measures for the prevention and treatment of non‑communicable diseases in Ukraine. Materials and methods.  Method of the direct assessment of the personified correction of the patient’s lifestyle was applied to 247 respondents (60 functionally healthy athletes, 111 functionally healthy non‑athletes, 76 patients with NCDs) in the open, non‑randomized, controlled study using valeological testing, instrumental bioimpedance measurement, and analysis of a short recording of Heart Rate Variability. Results. Cluster differences have been reveled between the groups as regards the formation of a healthy lifestyle; non‑compliance with the principles of healthy lifestyle in the groups of functionally healthy non‑athletes and patients with NCDs, which was confirmed by significant difference in the indicators of body composition (deficiency of muscle mass, impaired fat metabolism), spectral analysis, variational pulsometry is a short recording of heart rate variability. Results. Cluster differences in the formation of the level of a healthy lifestyle, non‑compliance with the principles of healthy lifestyle in the groups of functionally healthy non‑athletes with NCDs were found. This was confirmed by personalized analysis data, significant differences in body composition indicators (lack of muscle mass, impaired fat metabolism), spectral analysis, variational pulsometry, short recording of heart rate variability. Conclusions. The method for determining the personalized correction of the patient’s lifestyle is an effective method for identifying and preventing non‑communicable diseases, in particular at account of the possibility to assess the novel early predictors — the content of muscle tissue and the functional state of the body based on the results of the analysis of a short recording of heart rate variability.

Non-communicable diseases have become the leading cause of death worldwide, the origin of which remains unclear. At the same time, in the methodology of hygienic diagnostics and socio-hygienic monitoring, the search for good indicators testifying to the influence of environmental factors on human health is of considerable difficulty. 85-90% of management errors are recognized due to the unreasonable choice of these indicators. The continued growth of non-infectious morbidity in the Russian population indicates the inefficiency of the existing system of socio-hygienic (epidemiological) monitoring and, in general, the state of hygiene as human health science. To obtain reliable monitoring data, it is necessary to introduce a systematic homeostatic indicator that reflects changes in human health, regardless of the nature and origin of external factors, including vital and social factors. In this regard, the goals of this review were to analyze the systemic homeostatic action of the body’s associated water phase and the mechanisms of its electronic exchange interaction with the environment in a relationship that reflects the root causes of metabolic disorders in cellular structures and the subsequent occurrence of chronic non-infectious human diseases. According to quantum notions, an organism is a macroscopic quantum system, each organ and each cell of which is in electronic interaction with each other and with similar structures in the environment. It is precise because of non local connections that health and diseases are significantly dependent on the electrophysical state of the environment. A systemic indicator that reflects the effectiveness of electronic metabolic processes and human health is the proportion of the associated water phase in the body and the associated intensity of electromagnetic emission in the low-frequency and high-frequency spectral regions. In pathological conditions of organs (disease), adaptation is disrupted, which from a physical perspective is regarded as a “gap” in quantum correlation with external sources of electrons. During this process, a sharp decrease in the proportion of the associated water phase occurs, accompanied by the release of excess heat and metabolic shifts. Electron-deficient environmental conditions require the early introduction of measures to counteract dangerous trends in the nation health and the social and hygienic monitoring methodological aspects revision, which can have a significant impact on the “water factor,” through which realized one of the main ways of electron-deficient states the body compensation is implemented.

AbstractObjectiveOur study aimed to investigate whether the metabolic indicators associated with non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in the general population have changed during the COVID-19 outbreak.METHODSThis retrospective self-controlled study enrolled adult participants with metabolic indicators relate to NCDs followed at Fujian Provincial Hospital and Fujian Provincial Hospital South Branch. The metabolic indicators followed during January 1, 2020 and April 30, 2020, the peak period of the COVID-19 epidemic in China, were compared with the baseline value in the same period last year. Pared-samples T-test and Wilcoxon signed-rank test were performed to analyze the differences between paired data.ResultsThe follow-up total cholesterol was significantly increased than that of the baseline (4.73 (4.05, 5.46) mmol/L vs 4.71 (4.05, 5.43) mmol/L, p=0.019; n=3379). Similar results were observed in triglyceride (1.29 (0.91, 1.88) vs 1.25 (0.87, 1.81) mmol/L, p<0.001; n=3381), uric acid (330.0 (272.0, 397.0) vs 327.0 (271.0, 389.0) umol/L, p<0.001; n=3364), and glycosylated hemoglobin (6.50 (6.10, 7.30) vs 6.50 (6.10, 7.20) %, p=0.013; n=532). No significant difference was observed in low density lipoprotein, body mass index and blood pressure.ConclusionsMetabolic indicators associated with NCDs deteriorated in the COVID-19 outbreak. We should take action to prevent and control NCDs without delay.

Non-communicable diseases (PTM) are a group of chronic diseases, not contagious and can attack all organs of the body, so PTM has a large impact both in terms of morbidity and mortality on public health. Based on information from community leaders from the Sukarami Village, many people experience hypertension, diabetes, rheumatism or pain in the joints so that people are very much expecting help from health workers to provide counseling and health checks in order to prevent disease or attempt to find the cause of the disease. Residents who attended the PKM activities amounted to 138 people. The results of glucose level examination obtained a normal category of 111 people, Prediabetes category as many as 21 people and diabetes category as many as 6 people while the examination of uric acid levels obtained normal results as many as 101 people, abnormal category as many as 36 people and not examined as many as 1 person but the results the measurement of people's blood pressure that came showed 67 (48.6%) more than normal meaning that quite a lot of people tended to suffer from hypertension. It was concluded that community awareness of the importance of checking blood sugar and gout, especially for those aged> 40 years, still needs to be improved through regular education and blood tests to prevent (preventive efforts), especially non-communicable diseases.

Vaccines have been used as a promising instrument over the years to combat the dreadful communicable diseases. But now owing to epidemiological transition as the burden of non-communicable diseases has increased, efforts are now being made globally to use this weapon for non-communicable diseases like cancer. Cancer vaccines belong to a class of substances known as “biological response modifiers”. These work by stimulating or restoring the immune system’s ability to fight infections and disease. There are two broad types of cancer vaccines: Preventive (or prophylactic) vaccines and Treatment or therapeutic vaccines. Cancer treatment vaccines are made up of cancer cells, parts of cells or pure antigens. Sometimes a patient’s own immune cells are removed and exposed to these substances in the lab to create the vaccine.  Cancer treatment vaccines differ from the vaccines that work against viruses. These vaccines try to get the immune system to mount an attack against cancer cells in the body. Instead of preventing disease, they are meant to get the immune system to attack a disease that already exists. Preventive vaccines are intended to prevent cancer from developing in healthy people.  And in fact, many evidence-based studies have proven the decrease in morbidity and mortality in various cancers by usage of some of the vaccines like cervical cancer vaccine etc. The biggest challenges currently facing preventive anti-cancer vaccines are clinical, social, and economic in nature.  This article is an effort to   highlight the advances in various cancer vaccines, so done, to use them on preventive and therapeutic front.

Breast cancer is the most frequent cancer among women. WHO data states that in 2018 an estimated 627,000 women die from breast cancer or approximately 15% of all cancer deaths among women. However, the survival of patients with breast cancer is quite high when detected early. Posbindu PTM RW 08 Air Putih is a posbindu guided by FK UNRI to prevent and control non-communicable diseases, including breast cancer. Therefore, increasing the ability of Posbindu PTM cadres to conduct BSE socialization (Self Breast Examination) is necessary. The form of community service is BSE training in the community and Posbindu PTM cadres. In addition, participants were facilitated for examinations by specialist doctors. The activity was attended by 16 participants, beginning with the material about Posbindu PTM, breast cancer, BSE practice and screening for participants who have symptoms of breast cancer. Evaluation of activities was assessed by active participation and community response to the question and answer session. Participants can also re-practice BSE. The results of the examination of three participants who were examined by a doctor, suspected (suspect) 1 person FAM, 1 person Carcinoma mammae, and 1 other person did not. The suspected participants were suggested to immediately conduct a clinical examination and ask the RW to help them obtaining BPJS.

Abstrak Remaja merupakan kelompok kesehatan prima namun rentan karena mengalami perubahan perilaku berisiko sehingga akan menentukan status kesehatan pada saat dewasa. Salah satu permasalahan kesehatan yang meningkat pada remaja adalah meningkatnya penyakit tidak menular pada remaja, misalnya obesitas, hipertensi, diabetes dan hiperkolesterolemia. Remaja perlu mendapatkan pemaparan mengenai penyakit tidak menular perlu diberikan kepada remaja guna meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman remaja mengenai risiko, dampak, dan deteksi dini penyakit tidak menular pada remaja. Oleh karena itu, perlu diberikan pendidikan kesehatan sebagai dasar penerapan hidup sehat dan cara deteksi dini yang dapat dilakukan oleh remaja guna pencegahan penyakit tidak menular pada remaja. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di di SMK 2 PGRI Surakarta yang dilakukan selama 2 hari pada Bulan Juli 2019. Metode kegiatan adalah pendidikan kesehatan dan pemeriksaan komposisi tubuh dengan pengukuran indeks massa tubuh. Tiga puluh dua siswa mengikuti kegiatan ini. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan penyakit tidak menular dan kemampuan siswa dalam memahami status gizi mereka melalui pengukuran komposisi tubuh sebagai bagian dari deteksi dini penyakit tidak menular. One of the increasing health problems in adolescents is the increase in non-communicable diseases in adolescents, such as obesity, hypertension, diabetes, and hypercholesterolemia. Adolescents need to get exposure to non-communicable diseases to increase awareness and understanding of the risks, impacts, and early detection of non-communicable diseases in adolescents. Therefore, it is necessary to provide health education as a basis for implementing a healthy lifestyle and early detection that can be done by adolescents to prevent non-communicable diseases in adolescents. This activity was carried out at SMK 2 PGRI Surakarta which was conducted for 2 days in July 2019. The method of the activity was health education and examination of body composition by measuring body mass index. Thirty-two students participated in this activity. Evaluation results show an increase in knowledge of non-communicable diseases and the ability of students to understand their nutritional status through measurement of body composition as part of early detection of non-communicable diseases. Sedentary lifestyle, being a behavioral risk factor for chronic non-communicable diseases, is relevant for preventive medicine. A key role in the correction of behavioral risk factors for chronic non-communicable diseases is occupied by general medical practice, where the patient is continuously observed for many years. Increased physical activity reduces the risk of atherosclerosis, diseases of the musculoskeletal system, malignant tumors, has a positive effect on the psychological state of patients and reduces the overall morbidity and mortality. Increasing the reserves of the cardiorespiratory system of the body, physical activity improves the quality of life of patients and reduces the cost of medical care.To effectively combat sedentary lifestyle, it is necessary to adequately motivate patients that can be achieved through routine counseling to enhance physical activity. The method of such consultation should take into account limited time of outpatient admission and all personal characteristics of patients (starting level of physical activity, health group and risk of disease).The article presents a summary of modern scientific views in the field of increasing physical activity of patients, discusses current issues of counseling. The groups of patients with or without chronic diseases and the high risk of cardiovascular complications were discussed. The variant of rational outpatient counseling with the help of the algorithm of organization of physical activity mode, providing stratification of patients, planning, optimization and control of personal motor activity was presented. The proposed method of optimization of counseling successfully solves the problems of motivation, increase of physical activity and individual approach in outpatient practice.

Abstract Background Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are diseases that are not transmitted from one person to another. Currently, NCDs are the primary causes of morbidity and mortality globally. Truck driving is an occupation that prone drivers to risk factors for NCDs than other occupations. Eventhough risk of developing NCDs among these population is high, studies that showed the prevalence and associated factors of chronic NCDs among truck drivers in Ethiopia are not available. Therefore, this study aimed to assess the prevalence and associated factors of chronic NCDs among truck drivers in Ethiopia. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted among 422 cross-country truck drivers at the Modjo dry port in Ethiopia. The interviwer-administered questionnaire technique was used to collect the data. The body mass index of the study participants was measured using DHM-15A standardized scale (BMI Height and Weight body fat scale). Results Of the 400 truck drivers interviewed, the prevalence of chronic non-communicable diseases was 28.5, 95% CI (24.1–32.9%). Eighty (20%) had hypertension followed by 32(8%), and 22 (5.5%) had diabetes mellitus and asthma, respectively. The study also found that being married (AOR = 3.14, 95%CI [1.78–5.86]) and Separated/Divorced/Widower (AOR = 2.31, 95% CI [1.12–3.55]), having 3 or more family sizes (AOR = 1.46, 95% CI [1.33–4.42]), BMI ≥ 25 (AOR = 4.66, 95% CI [2.85–7.62]), smoking cigarettes [AOR = 1.71, 95% CI [1.03–2.81]), driving 10 or more years (AOR = 3.48, 95% CI [1.89–5.24]) and driving 9 or more hours daily (AOR = 3.76, 95% CI [1.96–6.54]) were statistically associated with chronic non-communicable diseases. Conclusion The prevalence of chronic NCDs among truck drivers was significant (28.5%), and we can conclude that chronic NCDs are of public health importance among truck drivers in Ethiopia. This may create a substantial load on the healthcare system as an end result of increased demand and contact with healthcare services. Therefore, a rigorous effort is needed to develop strategies for the prevention and management of NCDs.
