Elderly in the age of 60 or above is a natural process that can not be avoided where the life of man as a human being is limited by a rule of nature. As a result of the aging process, the blood vessels become stiff and affect the left ventricular wall reduce its elasticity, resulting in a progressive increase of blood pressure. The treatment of hypertension in addition to pharmacological therapy could also use non-pharmacological therapies such as reflexology massage.  Method: The research design used in this study was pre-experimental using one group pretest-posttest approach. In this research, the researchers measured blood pressure before and after the treatment (reflexology massage). The sample of this study was 20 respondents using purposive sampling. This research used statistical t-test analysis test, because it had a scale ratio data. Result : The result of t-test showed that p <0.0001, means that there was significantly different result before and after treatment with reflexology massage on the feet with a medium timber. Discussion : It is expected that people with hypertension do the feet reflexology massage in order to taking medication because can lower systolic blood pressure.

Changes in anthropometry, blood calcium, blood pressure, and physical fitness due to goat's milk intake in athletesBackground: The intake of healthy-balanced nutrition is needed by athletes. The complex nutritional content of goat milk such as protein, fat, carbohydrate, vitamin, and mineral acts as sports nutrition during and after training. Objective: This study aims to analyze the effects of goat milk on physical fitness, anthropometrics, blood calcium, and blood pressure in athletes. Methods: A clinical trial was conducted using healthy human subjects. Subjects were runners (n=10 people) as the control group and gymnasts (n=19 people) as the treatment group, male, age 21-27 years, and healthy. Bodyweight (BW), Height, and Body Mass Index (BMI), blood calcium, Systolic Blood Pressure (SBP), Diastolic Blood Pressure (DBP), and physical fitness were examined two times, before and after consuming goat milk. Intervention: fresh goat milk, 250 mg/day (after dinner), and given for 90 days. Data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. Results: There was no difference between BW (p=0.07), BMI (p=0.08), and DBP (p=0.24), but instead there was a significant difference in SBP (p=0.00) before and after goat milk intervention in the experimental group. Blood calcium was significantly increased (p=0.00) in the intervention group, whereas reverse decreased significantly (p=0.02) in controls. A significant difference before and after therapy was found in speed (p=0.00), arm muscle endurance (p=0.01), an-aerobic endurance (p=0.00), agility (p=0.02), however, there was no significant difference between leg muscle power (p=0.13), flexibility (p=0.23), an endurance of abdominal muscles (p=0.26), VO2 max (p=1.15) in the intervention group. Conclusions: Regular consumption of goat milk can reduce SBP, increase blood calcium levels, and improve physical fitness (speed, arm muscle endurance, anaerobic endurance, and agility) in athletes. Goat milk is an essential role in sports nutrition for physical fitness and athlete's health.

Stress is an individual's adaptive response to various external pressures or demands and produces a variety of disorders including physical, emotional and behavioral disorders. Final year students often experience feelings of stress so that it can interfere with concentration to attend lectures and can even hamper completing education in a timely manner. There are several ways of managing stress, one of which is using aromatherapy. Aromatherapy is a non-pharmacological therapy, which is a type of therapy that applies direct body contact and has a therapeutic effect that combines physiological effects, caused by massage on the body, with psychological effects, which are derived from essential oils. The general purpose of the study is to analyze the effect of aromatherapy on blood pressure and stress levels by using the Kessler Psychological Distress Scale in final semester students. The research method used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design approach, in 28 intervention groups, namely respondents who were given lavender aromatherapy massage and 28 respondents in the control group. The univariate analysis was conducted to show frequency distribution and bivariate analysis was conducted by independent sample T-test and dependent sample T-test. The results showed that there were significant differences in systolic blood pressure before and after the intervention in the intervention and the control group with a p-value of 0.01 < 0.05. Whereas the stress level variable found that there is no difference in stress levels in the intervention and the control group before and after the intervention with p-value 0.169> 0.05.

Complete pressure unloading of the ventricles can preserve ischemically damaged myocardium. Most clinical left heart assist device (LVAD) systems used after ischemic injury of the heart apply atrial cannulation which does not ensure pressure unloading. In order to assess the effect of the implantation of an intracorporeal LVAD on the function of the natural heart, we determined the ejection fraction (EF) in four male Holstein calves (90–105 kg) before and after insertion of a Cleveland Clinic pneumatic LVAD. A gated blood pool scan was obtained with a gamma camera after injection of 40 mCi Tc-labelled albumin. The animals were restrained in a sling to avoid movement artifacts. All animals showed a drop of 65 ± 12% to 42 ± 14% EF in the first postoperative (p.o.) week. Left ventricular output did not maintain sufficient blood pressure as assessed by pump-off tests. Systolic blood pressure dropped from 122 ±6.5 mm Hg to 81 ± 6 mm Hg without pump support on the morning of the first p.o. day. Apical coring and possible restrained heart movement by the implanted LVAD may lead to impaired myocardial function that renders the individual LVAD dependent until adaptative corrections take place.
