<p>This research is motivated by the lack of ability of students in writing short stories. This research apply project based learning model with windows movie maker media. The formulation of the problem is "Whether the application of project based learning model with windows movie maker media can improve the ability to write short stories of students." In accordance with the formulation of the problem, the hypothesis of this research is the application of project based learning model with windows movie maker media can improve writing skills Short stories of students greater than or equal to 75. This study is based on the Kemmis and Taggart self-reflection model that lasts for 2 cycles. Based on the observer's observation, teacher activity in learning has increased at every meeting and cycle, starting from cycle I teachers get the average value of 82,5. In the second cycle get an average value of 97.5. Similarly, student activity on cycles 1 obtained an average of 75, and in the last 2 cycles the average score was 95. The results of the questionnaire generally showed that students responded positively to the short story writing model using project based learning and media windows movie maker . Implementation of Project Based Learning model with Windows Movie Maker Media can improve students' writing skill. It is shown by the average value of pretes of 42.4 increased in cycle I with an average of 78, then increased again in cycle II with an average of 85.4. Hypothesis test results in this study obtained t count equal to 6.992. Meanwhile, with the degree of freedom 19 at the level of significance 0.05 (5%) obtained t table value of 1.729. So t count&gt; t table is 6.992&gt; 1.729 so H<sub>0</sub>.</p>

The purposes of this research included: (1) developing teaching materials for writing short story using paraphrasing technique, (2) implementing learning to write short story using paraphrasing technique, (3) describing the feasibility of teaching materials for writing short story using paraphrasing technique. This research uses the research method of developing Willis's reflective, recursive, design, and development (R2D2) models. The method used is to produce a product and test the feasibility of the product in the form of teaching materials to write short stories with paraphrasing techniques in class XI MAN 2 Samarinda students. The results of the development of teaching materials for short story writing with paraphrasing techniques were validated by content/content experts who gave an average score of 92.04% and validation of teaching material experts obtained an average score of 95%. From the validation results the experts obtained an average score of 93.52% with a very good category. Thus, the teaching material produced is very suitable for use by students of class XI. Furthermore, implementing learning to write short stories with paraphrase techniques through planning assessments conducted by observer 1 who gave an average score of 80% and observer 2 gave an average score of 93.33%. The implementation of learning was given an average score of 81.73% by observer 1 and observer 2 giving an average score of 86.08%. From the average score given by observers 1 and 2 states learning takes place very well. The feasibility of teaching materials for short story writing with paraphrase techniques can be seen from the results of small group pretest trials with an average value of 67.8 and 86.7 posttests and field trials with an average value of 73.75 and posttests with an average value 88.18% with a very decent category.

The purpose of the research was to explain and analyze the short story writing skills improvement grades X1 SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang in terms of characterization, plot, and setting. This type of research is a classroom action research that uses four stages in each cycle, including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research was conducted in two cycles. The data was collected through two main instruments, namely test and nontes. The test is used to collect data capability to write short stories, while the form of sheets nontes observation, field notes, and questionnaires were used to collect the data in the application of learning techniques paraphrasing poetry writing short stories. Analyzing data in accordance with the descriptive-analytical application of the concept of action research. Results of this study showed that the results of the students wrote short stories on pre-cycle obtain an average value of 58.89, cycle 1 with an average value of 77.04, and in cycle 2 the average score was 91.11.. The results showed an increase of pre-cycle students write short stories until the cycle 2.

This study aims to develop teaching materials for writing short stories based on experience to facilitate students in writing short text. The learning approach offered by researchers is considered appropriate for writing short text material because it can help students to easily express their ideas in writing short stories by linking the material with the context of their daily lives. In addition, experience is the best teacher because from experience one can learn. Experience is a memory that is recorded and stored as a story that forms a filter of perception that ultimately guides behavior. The results of this study indicate that the effectiveness of teaching short story writing lessons based on experiences developed for 7th grade student of junior high school 2 Kejuruan Muda was stated to be more effective than student handbooks. The results of the acquisition of student learning outcomes before and after using teaching materials have increased quite significantly by 8.28. The average score of students before (pretest) using teaching materials learning experiences writing short stories based on experience 74.43 and the average value of post (testing) using teaching materials learning writing short stories based on experience 82.71.

To learn something well, we need to hear, see, ask questions about it, and discuss it with others. Not only that, teachers need to "do it", that is to describe something in their own way, to show their example, to try to practice their skills and to do tasks that demand the knowledge they have gained. Problems to be studied in this research are: a. How to improve learning result of Indonesian language especially about writing short story? b. Steps taken in improving learning outcomes Indonesian language ?.  The approach of this research uses a qualitative approach with classroom action research design, which is carried out cyclically. Cycle I with planning, action, observation, and reflection. Likewise the next cycles. In PTK as well as teachers can examine their own activities on their own done in its own class. By involving their students through planned, implemented and evaluated actions, TOD can be performed without interrupting other learning and will not burden the work of the teacher in performing daily tasks. PTK can be done in an integrated manner with daily activities. Precisely with PTK teachers can improve the quality of learning processes and products. The study considers the results or impact of classroom action research from various criteria based on reflections for revision. Reflection is a re-application of the lessons learned. The reflections are evaluations that have been made and suggestions for future learning.    Based on the description of researchers draw conclusions as follows: The ability of students to write short stories in class IV before using the method of writing (writing together) is categorized enough with the average value: 6.90 (unfinished). There is an increase in the ability to write short stories with the method of writing writing (writing together) grade IV students are categorized both with an average value of 7.69 (complete). This capability increases in cycle II and cycle III reaches an average value of 8.46 (complete). Matched material for writing short story experiences for students SDN 07 Pasar Salido is a material that suits the conditions, desires, experiences, and the ability to write short stories.

This study aims to 1) find out the technique of writing short stories with the "CANTIK" learning model, 2) improve students' skills in writing short stories. In this study, the subjects were teachers and students of class XI MIPA1 SMA N 1 Tawangsari in the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year. The object of research in general is the implementation of learning to write short stories. The data obtained by the technique of giving short story writing assignments, observation and documentation. The data were analyzed using a qualitative description method, namely data presentation and conclusion drawing/verification. The results showed that learning to write short stories in class XI MIPA1 SMA N 1 Tawangsari in the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year was carried out based on the 2013 Curriculum, the Indonesian language learning syllabus for class XI, and was carried out according to the Indonesian RPP for short story text teaching materials. The obstacles faced in learning to write short stories are 1) the implementation of the right learning model in learning to write short stories, 2) the low motivation of students in participating in short story writing lessons, 3) decreased concentration of students when learning Indonesian is scheduled in the final hours. learning. The ways to overcome these obstacles are 1) the application of learning methods to write short stories that are appropriate and interesting for students, 2) provide motivation and enlightenment to students about the benefits of having the ability to write short stories in everyday life. 4) variations in the allocation of learning schedules for writing short stories.

This research originated from the low skills of grade IV SDN (public school) 1 Sigli students in writing short stories. Learning media to write short stories is an alternative means of delivering material to students through animated film media. This study aims to determine the improvement of short story writing skills using animated film media in fourth grade students of SDN 1 Sigli. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) which was conducted in three cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this study were 24 students of grade IV SDN 1 Sigli, consisting of 12 female students and 12 male students. The data collection technique was done by using tests, observations, and field notes. The data analysis used was a comparative descriptive analysis technique. The results of data analysis showed that the acquisition of student learning outcomes with an average value in cycle I: 60%, cycle II: 80%, and cycle III: 91%. Thus it can be concluded, the use of animated film media can improve students' short story writing skills, and teachers always improve their skills in using instructional media. This can be seen from the cycles obtained by students in each cycle.

Abstract: This study aims to apply the think talk write learning model to improve Indonesianlearning outcomes in composing short stories in Class IX.1 SMP Negeri 10 Kota Bekasi. Thesubjects were students of class IX.1 SMP Negeri 10 Kota Bekasi total of 40 students. The method usedwas classroom action research. Methods of data collection using tests, observations, interview, anddocumentation. The results obtained by the test result data evaluation of learning that have increasedeach cycle, the test results obtained pre-cycle average value of 73,30 with mastery learning 47,50%,which has increased in the cycle I average value of 78,55 with mastery learning 72,50%, which hasincreased in the cycle II average value of 81,10 with mastery learning 92,50%. The research was motivated by the success of the Children's Literaturecourse. During this time students taking courses in children's literature lessinterested in writing children's stories, because they think children's literature isnot interesting. The use of a less appropriate learning model is very influential inteaching and learning smooth and therefore can not meet the Unimed passingstandards  specified in Children's Literature Lecture Events Unit. Lecturers whoteach the exact learning model is expected to improve the ability of students to writea short story based on the character of the child. Many models can be applied in thelearning process, one of which is a model of learning Mind Map. Learning isproving an increase in the ability of students to write a short story based on thecharacter of the child's learning model implemented Mind Maps. Analysis of thedata used is descriptive analysis that describes the direction of change, improvementchanges, and understanding of concepts. The results of this study began beforeimplementing the learning cycle that initial test results with an average value of69.3. After the first cycle of the pretest is then performed by applying learningmodels with Mind Maps average value of 84.7. These results are considered to beless satisfactory then continue the cycle II conducted by applying the  model oflearning  Mind Map  with the average value of 91.8 were categorized as verycompetent. Furthermore concluded that the model of learning Mind Map canenhance the ability to write short stories character based child student in theDepartment of Indonesian.

The research aims to improve the learning process and short story writing skills using pop-up media in 4th grade students of elementary school Muhammadiyah Sidokarto. Type of research class action model Kemmis and Mc Taggart. Subjects class 4th students totaling 20 students. Method of data collection research uses the method of testing, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used quantitative and qualitative. The results of the study indicate that pop up media can improve short story writing skills. The process of improving learning to write short stories using pop-up media is students learn the material of short story elements, linguistic material, how to compile short story based on pop-up media, and write short stories using pop-up media. Improvement of short story writing skills first cycle 19.7 from the precycle average value of 59.9 to 79.6. The increase in short story writing skills the second cycle 25.85 from the pre-cycle average value to 85.75. Penelitian bertujuan untuk meningkatkan proses pembelajaran dan keterampilan menulis cerita pendek menggunakan media pembelajaran pop-up siswa kelas IV SD Muhammadiyah Sidokarto. Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV berjumlah 20 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian menggunakan metode tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu teknik kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran pop-up dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis cerita pendek. Proses peningkatan pembelajaran menulis cerita pendek menggunakan media pembelajaran pop-up dengan cara siswa mempelajari materi unsur-unsur cerita pendek, materi kebahasaan, cara menyusun kerangka cerita pendek berdasarkan media pembelajaran pop-up, danmenulis cerita pendek menggunakan media pembelajaran pop-up. Peningkatan keterampilan menulis cerita pendek pada siklus I sebesar 19,7 dari nilai rata-rata prasiklus sebesar 59,9 menjadi 79,6. Peningkatan keterampilan menulis cerita pendek pada siklus II sebesar 25,85 dari nilai rata-rata prasiklus menjadi 85,75.

This research and development based on the phenomenon that there are still many students who have difficulty in writing short stories and the importance of educators innovating in the use of learning models in an effort to improve the achievement of learning objectives. This study aims to (1) Describe the process of developing synectic models in short story writing students in class XI students of UISU Senior High School Medan (2) Describe the feasibility of developing synectic models in learning to write short stories in class XI students of SMA UISU Medan (3) in learning to write short stories at XI grade students of UISU Medan High School. This type of research is development research based on the development model 4-D of Thiagarajan. The trial subjects consisted of material experts, design experts, Indonesian language educators, and XI grade students of UISU Medan High School. Validation results show an average percentage of 92.12% for learning material and an average percentage of 95.13 % for learning design with excellent advice. The effectiveness of the product is obtained from a learning motivation questionnaire in a limited trial and is supported. Limited trials show an average percentage of 93.45% with very good criteria and approval trials of 95.12% with very good criteria. The data is also supported by the observations of students also increasing the pretest value from 64.83 to the posttest with an average value of 80.47. This proves that the synectic model developed for learning to write short stories is feasible to use and can improve students' ability to write short stories.
