The writing of this article aims to explain the importance of changing the mainset of students towards teachers guidance and counseling through interpersonal communication skills. Communication is very important for the continuity of counseling, because the quality of relationships can determine success in counseling. Interpersonal communication skills are indispenseble in counseling to make it easier to establish good relationships and can bridge studentss in problem solving all the obstacles and problems that are being faced and can eliminate the stigma that has been pinned on the  BK teacher.

This study discusses the role of Puskesmas medical professionals as communicators in implementation of Indonesia Sehat program with a family approach. Indonesia Sehat program is one of the government programs to improve quality of life of Indonesian people, which is part of the 5th agenda of the Nawa Cita program. In implementing the program, good communication skills of Puskesmas medical professionals is needed to explain the health status and nutritional status of the Indonesian people. The purpose of this study was to find the important role of communication skills for Puskesmas medical professionals and the effectiveness of interpersonal communication in the family approach undertaken by Puskesmas medical professionals. The method used in this research is qualitative with a case study approach. The results of this study show that Puskesmas medical professionals should not treat their patients as clients in business matters, they must treat them with empathy and compassion by conducting good and effective communication for better health. Keywords: Communicator; family approach; Indonesia sehat; Puskesmas medical professionals.

One important aspect in the implementation of public services is the ability of a service officer to interact and communicate with others. Communication is the most common thing in providing services. Good value whether or not a service is often seen from how the service providers in communicating with customers. For this communication skills must be owned and mastered properly by each service provider. In the implementation of public services, communication skills become one of the important aspects that will affect how effective the public services are provided and will determine how the community as a customer in responding to and imaging the funding organization. To communicate must be able to place humans in an honored position as well as public service is an effort to humanize humans (human humanization). In communication there is delivery of information and from one person to another. Communication will be good if there is mutual understanding between the sender and receiver of information so that the message conveyed is easily understood . This paper reviews the effectiveness of interpersonal communication within organizations to improve the quality of public services.

Islamic guidance and counseling (BKI) students as prospective counselors are required to master communication skills well as one of the characteristics of personality and professionalism that must be possessed. But sometimes, students experience anxiety when they start communicating with others in formal situations, such as academic situations. This study aims to look at the relationship between the frequency of BKI IAIN Parepare students in conducting positive self-talk with the level of communication apprehension. This study uses a quantitative approach. Data is collected by using The Self Talk Scale (Brinthaupt, Hein, & Kramer, 2009) and Personal Report Communication Apprehensioan Questionnaire (McCroskey, 1984). Linear regression analysis test is used to analyze the relationship between the frequency of self-talk with communication apprehension. The sample in this study amounted to 78 students consisting of 15 men and 70 women. The results showed that there was a relationship between the frequency of doing positive self-talk with the level of communication anxiety in students. The implication of this study shows that positive self-talk techniques can be used in a variety of guidance and counseling situations or daily activities in reducing anxiety levels and increasing student personal competence, especially those related to anxiety when conducting interpersonal communication.

Communication is essential toward all families and given the technology that we have today, Facebook has been one of many social media sites that lets people stay connected whereever they may be, although, not all members of the family are in to using Facebook to communicate with their loved ones. This study aims to determine the effects of social media on interpersonal communication among family members, in particular, it analyzes the effectiveness of Facebook and family communication. In connection with this, the emphasis of this study is the effects of social media on the quality of interpersonal communication skills among family members. A sample of 25% of 120 individuals from four different colleges during the 2016-17 school year were the respondents of this study. A questionnaire was given to the respondents which included their profile, number of hours and activities on Facebook, and lastly the quality of their interpersonal communications with their family members. The results of the study show that communicating through Facebook more than likely leads to misunderstandings among family members as the messages are not expressed properly. Hence, a family must take time to talk and interact with each other personally in order to avoid these kinds of conflicts and maintain a good family relationship.

The aim of this study was to analyze and interprete the previews studies about modification of implementation of group guidance service. The researcher was conducted this study using qualitative approach which involved case study’s strategy. According to those post graduate student’s findings, the researcher intended to find: (1) what were modifications that done, (2) how were they happened, (3) why were they happened, (4) how were the results, (5) how were the effectively of its effects, (6) how were the possibilities of its implementation in the future.  The findings of this study were the average score results of implementation of group guidance with modification has better score than the avarage score results in implementation of group guidance service without modification, Suggestion in developing learning discipline, Bibliotherapy in enhacing self-concept. Suggestion in developing learning discipline, Bibliotherapy in enhacing self-concept, Modifications in this study was conducted by Role Playing to improve self-adaptation, Verse of Holy Al-Qur’an to improve learning motivation, Audio Visual Media to improve self concept, Assertive Training to improve interpersonal communication, REBT eliminates affraid, Modeling to improve Self Efficacy, Reality Counseling to develop self-adaptation. Regarding to this, it is hope for Guidance and Counseling teachers/ Counselors to improve the quality of service with implementation of group guidance service through several modifications.

Interpersonal communication has been widely studied and proven to be an important skill possessed by school counselor. Interpersonal communication skills are activities that transfer certain information appropriately by the context of the communication. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in interpersonal communication skills of students majoring in guidance and counseling. The subjects of this study were students of the guidance and counseling department at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, who enrolled in the year 2017, 2018 and 2019. The research method used was quantitative research methods. Data analysis was performed using One-way Anova.The results of this study show that there is no difference in the interpersonal communication skills based on semester level.

This study aims to see a picture of empathy by integrating biological, sociological and psychological by using a delayed broadcast application which is intended to help Guidance and Counseling students to increase empathy and communication skills through a biopsychosocial approach to identify counselee problems. The implementation study uses a formative evaluation framework to see the counselor's communication with the counselee through three stages; 1) evaluation, consisting of a conceptual review; 2) technical, both formal and informal by the lecturer; 3) evaluation of Guidance and Counseling students who are involved in surveys and observations. The findings of this study indicate that bio-psycho-social video delays can improve counseling communication techniques (empathy) for prospective counselors. The results of this study can be used as a reference for lecturers and prospective counselors in providing learning about the counseling process so as to improve the quality of prospective counselors, especially in increasing empathy which is one of the counselor's character competencies.
