ABSTRAKKonservasi Budaya Lokal Mikanyaah Munding sebagai Landasan Village Breeding Center Kerbau adalah penelitian yang dilaksanakan oleh kami terkait dengan bentuk penangkaran kerbau berbasis budaya tradisional, yang dilaksanakan di Desa Cikeusal-Tasikmalaya. Di dalam budaya “Mikanyaah Munding” juga ternyata terdapat pelestarian berbagai seni tradisi Sunda, diantaranya adalah Seni Terbang Gebes. Dalam tulisan ini digunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan kajian etnografi, sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data digunakan teknik wawancara. Dari pembahasan hasil penelitian diperoleh antara lain; sistem penangkaran kerbau berbasis budaya lokal Mikanyaah Munding, yang di dalamnya terdapat; kebiasaan masyarakat setempat di dalam memperlakukan ternak kerbau, kosa kata khusus terkait dengan peternakan kerbau, hajat lembur yang ada hubungannya dengan peternakan kerbau, dan berbagai bentuk kesenian tradisional Sunda yang dilaksanakan dalam rangka budaya Mikanyaah Munding. ABSTRACT This writing was an excerpt taken from the research: Conservation of ‘Mikanyaah Munding’ Lo- cal Culture as Basis of Kerbau Village Breeding. On the research, there is a part about cultural role of‘Mikanyaah Munding’ in Sundanese Traditional Arts, which is a knowledge gained from abstraction of active-adaptation experience of unique social life. In Mikanyaah Munding culture, beside it pre-serve the culture of traditional buffalo husbandry, it also pre-serve the traditional ceremonies of calves birth, character educations, and the most interesting part is the preservation of other tradidional culture ele- ments which accompanies the Mikanyaah Munding culture itself.In order to keep so many traditional arts with educational values for its society, it needs an effort to invetory, document, revitalize, develop, and implement the local wisdom. Through the effort, conser- vation of Sundanese traditional arts in Desa Cikeusal Village of Kecamatan Tanjungjaya, Kabupaten Tasikmalaya, can be achieved.The research method used was a qualitative method, with the research model used in this study was a ethnographic research model, namely to describe culture as it is. This model in this research attempts to study the cultural event, which presents a view of life the subject as an object of study. Keywords: culture, mikanyaah munding, conservation, art, tradition  ABSTRAK Tulisan ini ditukil dari salah satu bagian penelitian yang berjudul: Konservasi Budaya Lokal “Mikanyaah Munding” sebagai Landasan Village Breeding Center Kerbau. Di dalam penelitian tersebut juga ternyata terdapat: Peran Budaya “Mikanyaah Munding” Dalam Konservasi Seni Tradisi Sunda, yang merupakan pengetahuan yang diperoleh dari abstraksi pengalaman adap- tasi aktif terhadap kehidupan sosial yang khas. Di dalam budaya “Mikanyaah Munding” selain terdapat pemertahanan adat istiadat memelihara kerbau secara tradisi, upacara adat kelahiran anak kerbau, pendidikan karakter, yang lebih menarik adanya pemertahanan berbagai seni tradisi yang mengiringi tradisi budaya “Mikanyaah Munding”.Demi terjaganya berbagai seni tradisi yang bernilai pendidikan karakter bagi masyarakat pengembangnya, perlu adanya upaya untuk menginventarisasi, mendokumentasi, merevital- isasi, membina, dan selanjutnya melaksanakan pengetahuan kearifan lokal tersebut. Melalui, hal tersebut juga dapat diwujudkan bentuk konservasi seni tradisi Sunda di Desa Cikeusal Ke- camatan Tanjungjaya Kabupaten Tasikmalaya.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif, dengan model penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model etnografi, yakni penelitian untuk mendeskripsi- kan kebudayaan sebagaimana adanya. The strategy forming tourist attraction to attract repeating guest is by developing entertainment tourism which offers sense of pleasure, satisfaction, and valuable experience. Uluwatu Kecak Fire Dance in Outer Area Uluwatu Temple was recognized as the most famous entertainment forms by domestic visitors. This aim of study is to identifying characteristics and measuring perception of domestic visitors to Uluwatu Kecak Fire Dance based on seven operational dimensions of entertainment tourism (Learning, Enjoyment, Escape, Refreshment, Novelty, Involvement, and Local Culture). The research used qualitative method with data collection techniques are questionnaire (number of samples were 65 respondents) and literature study. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistical analysis with continuum lines. The results showed that the perception of 65 domestic visitors for entertainment tourism in Uluwatu Temple were strongly agreed on Learning (277.5) and Enjoyment (285). While perception that were agreed are Escape (227), Refreshment (248.5), Novelty (259.25), Involvement (266), and Local Culture (272.33). In determining the dominant indicators of each dimension of entertainment tourism, the author uses the highest frequency capacity value. The three dimensions with highest average value are Enjoyment (285), Learning (277.5), and Local Culture (272.33). The administrator Outer Area Uluwatu Temple emphasize strategies that can maintain the three dimensions of entertainment tourism that have a dominant value, which is the Enjoyment dimension, Learning dimension, and the Local Culture dimension.   Keyword: Visitor Perception, Socio-demographic Characteristics, Entertainment Tourism, Domestic Visitors

Abstract Buton was a maritim sultanate in Southeast Sulawesi. It had a strategic location because it was a centre of transit and trade in Nusantara and Asia. This situation caused cultural contact and arose new Butonese culture. A kind of cultural product is literate tradition using such as Jawi script (Arabic-Malay) that appeared from interaction of local culture, the Butonese, with islam. In history of Buton many kitab was writen in Jawi script including Kitab Sarana Walio. Taking descriptive-qualitative method, the writer analyze Jawi script that was used in Sarana Walio text. This analyze was related with cultural context that underlied the appearance of this script. This research has found the system of writing with Jawi script in this manuscript. Based on ortographic system, Jawi script in Sarana Walio is not different from ortography of Arabic-Malay system in Nusantara. Graphem consist of consonant and vocal which is symbolized by huruf saksi, not punctuation. Meanwhile, there’s inconsistence in the case of word writing in manuscript. ---Abstrak Buton merupakan kesultanan maritim di Sulawesi Tenggara yang memiliki letak strategis karena menjadi pusat persinggahan dan perdagangan Nusantara dan Asia. Hal ini tentu saja menyebabkan terjadinya kontak budaya yang memunculkan bentuk-bentuk kebudayaan baru di masyarakat Buton. Salah satunya adalah tradisi tulis aksara Jawi (Arab-Melayu) yang lahir dari interaksi budaya lokal masyarakat Buton dengan Islam. Banyak kitab dalam sejarah Buton yang ditulis dalam aksara Jawi, di antaranya Kitab Sarana Walio. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif-kualitatif, penulis mengkaji aksara Jawi dalam teks Sarana Walio, dihubungkan dengan konteks budaya yang melatari munculnya aksara tersebut. Penelitian telah menemukan adanya sistem penulisan aksara Jawi dalam naskah tersebut. Ditinjau dari ortografinya, aksara Jawi dalam Sarana Walio tidak berbeda dengan sistem ejaan Arab-Melayu pada umumnya di Nusantara. Grafem terdiri atas grafem konsonan dan grafem vokal yang dilambangkan dengan huruf saksi, tidak dengan tanda baca. Selain itu, ada inkonsistensi penyalin naskah dalam penulisan beberapa kata.DOI: 10.15408/al-turas.v23i1.4794

AbstrakPenelitian ini merupakan bentuk analisis serta kajian mengenai peran ajaran agama Hindu dalam proses penciptaan karya seni lukis umumnya seni lukis tradisional Bali. Seni lukis sebagai bagian dari seni rupa di Bali berkembang cukup pesat, dimana terdapat dua dikotomi seni lukis di Bali yaitu seni lukis tradisional di Bali dan Seni lukis modern. Seni lukis tradisional Bali merupakan bentuk seni lukis yang proses pembuatannya masih menggunakan tradisi-tradisi baik proses pembuatan dan bahan-bahan yang tradisional walaupun kini sudah umum ditemukan menggunakan alat serta bahan yang sudah tergolong modern, dan seni lukis tradisional Bali ini yang sudah berlangsung sejak dulu yaitu terdapat pakem-pakem serta prinsip yang dilakukan ketika proses penciptaan karya tersebut dikreasikan. Ketika seorang pelukis mencipta sebuah karya maka realita dan imajinasi menjadi sumber ide namun Seni lukis tradisional Bali memiliki ciri khasnya yang sangat kentara ketika dilihat secara langsung, yaitu penggambaran objek bentuk karyanya yang cenderung mengambil bentuk-bentuk alam, cerita-cerita rakyat, mitologi serta ajaran-ajaran agama Hindu yang direinterpretasikan melalui bentuk simbol-simbol didalamnya. Sehingga sebagian besar tema-tema yang dihadirkan dalam seni lukis tradisional Bali adalah mengimajinasikan ajaran-ajaran agama Hindu yang kental akan nilai-nilai spiritual dan memiliki nilai-nilai magis kedalam sebuah karya yang tidak hanya sekedar memuaskan pengalaman keindahan namun secara tidak langsung juga menjadi media wahana pengajaran ajaran agama Hindu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan bagaimana ajaran agama Hindu menjadi sumber inspirasi dalam penciptaan karya seni lukis tradisional Bali. Metode yang digunakan dalam mengkaji fokus penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif deskriftif dengan pendekatan studi fenomenologi yaitu penelitian menggunakan data-data kualitatif untuk menggambarkan fenomena-fenomena ajaran agama Hindu yang menjadi sumber inspirasi penciptaan. Secara pragmatis penelitian ini diharapkan berdampak dalam memberikan informasi dan menambah wawasan terkait keberadaan seni lukis tradisional Bali sebagai bentuk kekayaan budaya bidang seni yang masih hidup serta keberadaannya yang masih lestari dan hidup di Bali.Kata Kunci: hindu, seni, lukis tradisional, bali.AbstractThis research is a form of analysis and study of the role of the Hindu religion in the process of creation of art painting generally traditional Balinese painting. Art painting as part of the art in Bali develops quite rapidly, where there is two art dichotomy in Bali is a traditional art painting in Bali and the art of modern paint. Traditional Balinese painting is a form of art painting that process is still using the traditions of both the making process and traditional materials although it is now common to be found using tools and materials that are already relatively modern, and the traditional Balinese painting that has been held since the first time is there are pakem and the principle that is done when the process of creation of the work is Reincreikan. When a painter creates a masterpiece, the reality and imagination become the source of ideas but the traditional Balinese painting has its distinctive characteristic when viewed directly, that is the depiction of the object of his form that tends to take the forms of nature, folklore, mythology, and teachings of Hindu religion that is interpreted by the form of symbols inside. So most of the themes presented in the art of traditional Balinese painting are too imaginative Hindu teachings that are strong in spiritual values and have magical values into a work that not only satisfies the experience of beauty but indirectly also becomes a medium of religious teaching of Hindu teachings. This research aims to illustrate how Hinduism's teachings are a source of inspiration in the creation of traditional Balinese art paintings. The method used in reviewing the focus of this research is a qualitative method of research with the approach of phenomenology study using qualitative data to describe the phenomena of Hindu religious teachings that are the source of the inspiration of creation. Pragmatic research is expected to have an impact on providing information and adding insight related to the existence of traditional Balinese art painting as a form of cultural richness of living arts and its existence that is still sustainable and living in Bali. Keywords: hindu, art, traditional painting, bali

Tujuan penelitian ini menjelaskan pertunjukan Angklung Dogdog Lojor dalam siklus upacara Seren Taun pada masyarakat Kasepuhan Ciptagelar, Kasatuan Adat Banten Kidul. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui pengamatan di lapangan dan wawancara mendalam. Berdasarkan penelitian disimpulkan bahwa pertunjukan Angklung Dogdog Lojor dalam upacara Seren Taun bukan semata-mata hanya sebagai seni pertunjukan dalam paradigma Barat atau kelengkapan ritual, akan tetapi merupakan salah satu media do’a dalam upacara ritual ngadiukeun pare sebagai upacara pokok dalam rangkaian upacara Seren Taun. Pertunjukan Angklung Dogdog Lojor merupakan ekspresi budaya masyarakat Kasepuhan Ciptagelar. Bagi para pemainnya, Ngangklung merupakan tugas pokok atau kewajiban sebagai anggota masyarakat adat. Angklung Dogdog Lojor Performance in Seren Taun Ritual Ceremony. This paper describes Angklung Dogdog Lojor performance in Seren Taun ritual ceremony on Kasepuhan Ciptagelar community. The method used in this paper is a qualitative method that is based on the data in the form of text, the analysis in the form of interpretation, and the prototype in the form of in-depth interviews. The conclusion is that Angklung Dogdog Lojor in Seren Taun ritual ceremony is not solely as an art performance in the Western paradigm or completeness of any rituals. Angklung Dogdog Lojor is one of the ‘prayer’ media of various ‘prayer’ media in Seren Taun rituals, especially in ritual of ‘ngadiukeun pare’ as the main ritual in a series of Seren Taun ceremonies. Angklung Dogdog Lojor performance is an expression of culture Kasepuhan Ciptagelar Communities. Ngangklung, for the players, is a kind of the main duty or obligation to their community as indigenous people.

The tourism potential of Klayar Beach in Pacitan Regency is increasing along with the development of tourism programs in Indonesia which include the development of coastal areas as natural tourism destinations. The development of the coastal area for the development of the potential of local tourism based on nature requires a handling strategy that takes into account a number of considerations that are in harmony with the environment so that disaster-prone constraints can be minimized, including covering aspects of nature conservation. The strategy for developing Klayar Beach can be done through the application of the principles of Ecological Architecture. The research location in the Klayar Beach area is one of the 9 (nine) priority tourism destinations in the Regency of Pacitan. This study aims to find a regional structuring strategy with the application of the principles of ecological architecture, namely optimizing the value of regional potential and still considering the sustainability of nature. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method by conducting surveys through observation, interviews and comparing theories with relevant regulations. The results of the study are regional structuring strategies to develop the potential of Klayar Beach through structuring tourism areas in accordance with local elements and local culture as well as integrated nature conservation so that it becomes a sustainable tourism destination.

<p>This paper is aimed at describing adaptive strategy used by supported community to preserve and develop <em>Jathilan</em>, Javanese traditional ritual art performance. In describing the aim, the most fundamental nature and meaning attached in the artistic performance had been studied. Qualitative method was employed through literature review and field study. This study located in Magelang Regency, Central Java. The <em>Jathilan</em> in this paper is seen as cultural identity for its supported community, that has a specific role socially and ritually. The supported community, in addition, believes that this traditional art is not only acted as an entertainment, but also a facilitator for their hopes and prays. Despite some changes have influenced the differences of style and variation in the performing art, however, the changes themselves are the manifestation of adaptive strategy had from the supported community to preserve and conserve <em>Jathilan</em> performing art.</p>

<p>There are some Indonesian local wisdom that have not been promoted yet. Consequently, some people will not access them due to less promotion. Hence, Indonesian should keep all of the local wisdoms in appropriate ways. One of the ways is by using promotion the local wisdom through youtube. This paper explores the promotion of Indonesian local wisdom through social media particularly YouTube and the values of local wisdom. It used a qualitative method. Data were primarily collected through documentation of eight videos created and uploaded into YouTube by the students in the department of Islamic broadcasting and communication from the fifth semester at state Islamic Institute of Kudus. The result reveals that social media have been beneficial for promoting the local wisdom especially in Central Java. Indeed, social media offers flexibility and mobility for people in uploading the videos of Indonesian local wisdom into YouTube, it offers an opportunity to expand the Indonesian local wisdom through widespread social networking around the world and fostering their innovation of making amazing videos and contents. The values of local wisdom include beliefs and religion, Indonesian local culture and traditions, local food promotion and business production, Indonesian architecture and heritage, nature and environment preservation.</p>

Gianyar regency is one of the areas in Bali which has fanatic society to their own culture. Despite globalization era can not be avoided and it is improving time by time. So, the authors would like to describe and explain social capital implication in creating tourism entrepreneurs through preserving the culture. This research is using experience approach by qualitative method. The research results are: first, globalization era has no impact on Gianyar society. In case Ubud (one of area in Gianyar) is a center of tourism but in Padang Tegal village has society who always obey to religion. Second, the society in Gianyar is not only obeyed to their local norm but also they help their regency to explore their tourism landscapes. Third, there are many strategies from society collaborate with government to preserve the landscape. Fourth, involving the young generation in preserving their own local culture. Fifth, Tri Hita Karana is the core principle in their social life. Can be concluded that social capital has essential roles in creating tourism entrepreneur through preserving local culture.
